Bought at home depot red deer alberta canada on march 24/17. The door leaked water all over my kitchen floor. I called extended service number, and they sent out a repair guy on sept 12/17 with parts already, even before he had done any troubleshooting? Parts were new sliding rails. New rails were 1/16" shorter than original which means maytag knew it was a design fault causing door to not close properly. I have photos of wood that has swelled and busted on my brand new kitchen. It is the piece to the right of the dishwasher in photo. As you guys obviously knew about the issue with this model and didn't do any changes to fix the problem before it was sold to me, then I would like you to pay for the kitchen installers to replace the one piece of damaged wood. I have photos attached. I can get an estimate for you for the repair if required. I trust you will take care of this issue asap. Thank you. Steven cubby

On 8/25/2017 the control panel of the unit did not show any display. Lights and temperature monitoring did not work. The unit interior temperature started to increase as evidenced by condensation in both the refrigerator and freezer compartments. The master control board had failed on the unit as identified by a service technician on 8/26/2017. This complaint involves three aspects - the service broker Fort Mill Appliance Repair 414 Tom Hall St, Fort Mill, SC 29715 phone [protected]; the service provider, Star Appliance & HVAC, PO Box 473301 Charlotte NC 28247 phone [protected]; and Maytag the parts provider. Note that the component failure was identified 8/26/17 - the repair was completed on 9/7/2017. In short $455 was spent on dry ice during the "emergency repair process" - an average of $35 per day for 13 days. The repair cost $491.30. Thus the total repair bill was 946.30 for a part that cost $339.17. We were lead to believe that the part was readily available and that the repair should take several days. Had this been the case we would not be writing. The high level of frustration came from the lack of response from the service broker and the service provider as calls and text messages sent went unanswered. When we did get a return call the issue was the part " is on back order". Now what I find tough to believe based on my 30+ years of experience in global manufacturing and logistics that a part was not available that could not be shipped in the entire Eastern US supply chain or US supply chain. What we are asking at this point is at a minimum a refund on the part of $339.17 or preferably a full refund of the repair of $491.30 based on what was spent on dry ice due to the expectation that the repair was a several day event.

MAYTAG dryer has a heating problem and I already informed your vendor in Saudi Arabia Ibrahim Shaker Group on September 10, 2017 and their technician came and he told me that it needs spare part to fix. However, nobody called me after that and their response is very bad and I have communicated them many times with complain to their management but no action until now. My MAYTAG dryer is still out of service.

I called when I needed a new washing machine lid due to an accident. I explained that my original lid was nearly impossible to use and why. I was told the lid was on back order and given a date range of when to expect it. After I was told it was $200+ dollars and I was left no choice but to purchase I did. I got the lid and no hardware to install. I called back in and was told I needed hinges for the lid and they weren't included. Another week passed and I got the hinges. The hinges both had the same number which I thought was weird when they said they were two different hinges. Then I discovered that yet again when I said I need hinges and whatever else assuming screws would be needed as well to order those. Got the hinges and NO screws. I am now done messing with Maytag. I have left several bad reviews online like this. I mean seriously, how hard is it to listen and get me the right parts. It has really been sad because I love my washing machine and dryer. It will certainly stop me from purchasing Maytag in the future.

french door fridge ice maker only - no dispenser
Purchased at Hm Depot along with the extended warranty 5plus years ago . Last year noticed water leaking & running out the front. After researching we learned this is a common problem luckily warranty still in affect so itvwas reoaired . The bottom tray was filling with water, melting & leaking out Now ice maker does not work - discussed the orobkem with a repairman who said another common issue & it may be the back of the freeezer frosting up? Of course the warranty ran out 5 months ago! Disgusting! This is pretty sad when a major appliance does not last more than a few years. Ive had a Fridgedaire refrigerator for almost 15vyears and never had a problem

It has nothing to do with brand. Fridges, overall, don't use as big of compressors to be more energy conservative. It's why fridges use to last decades and you hope to get ten years out of them now.
purchase of four kitchen appliances
We purchased Maytag products in May 2017. Purchase included Side by Side Refrigerator, Dishwasher, Over the Stove Microwave, Electric Stove. Up until now, September 27, we have had the repairman multiple times for the following:
Dishwasher door would not latch properly, replaced seal, leaks continually from the door, latch on order.
Refrigerator began making noise within a month of purchase and an air inlet door was the culprit, replaced.
Microwave now consistently gives "open and reclose door" signal and will not cook until the door is manipulated several times.
Electric stove light burned out within days of purchase (understandable maybe)
I used to work for an appliance company that handled Maytag and installed and serviced the product so I thought I was purchasing quality material. Wow, has the product gone way down hill. If it weren't for the exceptional service we have received from Beiter's Appliances in Williamsport, PA, I would be asking to have all of the units returned. All four units were fingerprint proof stainless and when I bought all new I wasn't expecting to have the troubles I have had. I'm very very disappointed in the brand.

maytag front load 2000 series washer
Just a little over 6 years ago we purchased a Maytag washer and dryer set together with pedestals from Home Depot. Up to now we have had no complaints. I do work diligently at looking after it (wiping it down after each use, using less detergent, doing the clean cycle, etc.).
All of the sudden it started making a loud noise during the spin cycle. I requested a service call online through Maytag (using who they recommended) and had a service technician arrived the next day. It took him a few short minutes to tell us it would probably cost just as much to fix it as to buy a new one. He thought it was a bearing issue and to call Maytag the next day after he submitted his report. I did and was told by Maytag that all they would do was give us a discount on a new washer. They would not however do anything towards the matching pedestal which has to also be replaced. And, we would have to pay the taxes and shipping costs.
When we bought the pedestals we were told that the pedestals would most likely match another Maytag washer or dryer since they were a company that rarely changed them. Well this is not true as each one we've checked into is different and must be purchased with the specific washer or dryer.
We made a quick visit to Home Depot to check prices and they had the exact model there for very close to the same price that Maytag offered us a discount on . So much for the big discount they offered us.
The service repair guy was excellent and said that he thought that Maytag was one of the better companies for looking after their customers but apparently we were not one of the lucky ones.
It is frustrating to purchase a set of high quality (we thought) washer and dryers and also the matching pedestals and now are in the position of 6 years later being stuck with having to replace not only the washer but the pedestal as well. It's sad that we are such a throw away world now. I asked if they would work with us in trying to find a model that would fit our current pedestal and of course that was a no too.
At this point in time I'm thinking it best to step away from any and all Maytag appliances and look at purchasing from another company.
So much for customer loyalty!
On a lighter note, I guess that's why we don't see the commercials any more where the Maytag repair man is so bored because their appliances never break down.
Attention MayTag Social Media Relations that is in fact the phone number that I contacted on a couple of occasions and even asked to speak with a Supervisor to express our concerns. Unfortunately nothing has changed!

I'm very disappointed in the Maytag name. Suppose to be dependable well that's a joke . My washer is 6 years old. Can't really afford to buy another one but I have to. I have put enough money trying to get it fixed. It's funny how you don't see that commercial anymore. That they don't get very many service calls. Maytag is not that great. My water bill and my electric bill are way up. I have to watch so that it doesn't continuously run. Really fed up

I purchased a Maytag washer from Sears on May 20, 2017. This week when I went to use the washer it was 'stuck' with the light flashing on spin. No matter what I did, even unplugged the washer, nothing helped...I have not been happy with the Sears store here in Rhinelander since I bought both the washer and dryer in May.
I also have a Maytag refrigerator...don't remember the purchase date...within the last 5 or so years...It leaks almost all the time. My son did 'thaw it out'
once but it's doing it again... At the point, I am very disappointed in Maytag products.

I'm involved within the industry and can definitely say that their products are generally really decent. I own some myself. You'd be surprised how the most basic of issues can result in the problem you're referring to. It's worth having a service tech come out and look at both the washer and your fridge.

I bought this dishwasher from Rock Co Appliance (who no longer exist) on 04/16/2010. I pd $587.64 and paid another appliance person to install it @ $119.11. On 11/12/2013 I pd Shumway appliance$227.58 to install a new control. On 09/7/2017 I again had Shumway Appliance called and this was for a new console @$255.31. So far this dishwasher has costs me $1189.64. The clerk at Shumway asked if I wanted to put more money into this dishwasher when I asked for a service call. Really...this dishwasher is only 7 years old. Of course I bought a Maytag...servicemen do not have enough work with Maytag ..right? I did not purchase the service agreement...no need if I go for Maytag. Wrong...you have cheapened your products so much if makes me ill. I am 82 years old and had Maytag since day one of my marriage. I had a drier that was 4o years old before it stopped working. The service people could have gotten hernias from taking my washer and this drier out of my basement. I now have both a Maytag washer and drier and I can move them around myself in my laundry room. You are listening to one unhappy camper with your products at this stage in my life. Also if I were to get new products my choice is stainless steel, black or white. Boring boring boring! Don't want any of them! So my choice is to try and hold my bisque appliances together. This dishwasher has been taken care of and looks like new. What a pity...your products continue to go down hill. I do know that Whirlpool bought you out and doubt if their products have taken a HIT also. Thanks for listening. Oh just received call from Shumway about my high bill complaint and they lowered to $236.32

We used to have a lg washer, loved! But we got talked into a may tag washer.. We have had it one month and we have had service people here at least 5 times! We never had anyone service our lg, never had a problem.
I would like to throw it away but it was expensive. We bought it from lowes here in town.
Please tell me what our options are. We have to call the service people back again tomorrow because the normal cycle won't work anymore. We bought the damn machine last month!@! A piece of junk! We work and we don't have time to babysit a washer machine!

Bought a maytag Bravos washer 6 years ago at Home Depot. The gear has gone out and sounds like a freight train spinning. Of course, the warranty is out and the cost of repair is too high so we are forced to buy another washer. I doubt it will be maytag. I kept my last maytag washer for 15 years and only got rid of it to get a new energy saver model w/ a larger tub.. I expected this one would last at least that long.

We have or had this model# Bravo. Washed clothes good but it takes way to long to wash a load. No matter how big the load at least one hour. Then we had our first problem it quit spinning out the load. Called repair man gear box gone, broke, took a dump etc. Way to much money to fix it than what's it is worth. It's only about 5 years old. That's terrible! Really throw away and buy new. Ridiculous! We have always had Maytag, my parents too for about 40 years. So NO More went with Speed Queen

The knobs on the stove top have gotten stuck on the on position. My fear is this happening when my children are home. We have had to turn off the gas. This is the 2nd time this has happened. No one at Maytag or Whirlpool has answers to my questions or knows anything all I get from customer service is I dont know. The first cost was over $250. I am waiting for the 2nd service today.

Unfortunately I bought your specific range, because I thought it is more easy too use und is cleaning faster then the older system which has gotten very hot (500 degree) but with the old range after the cleaning cycle was done it was spotless clean !

Hello A. Reinhold, we are sorry to hear of you dissatisfaction with your Aqualift Cleaning Cycle. The steam created while using this cycle is meant to help release backed on foods, but some elbow grease may still be required. For especially stubborn areas, you went to saturate the area with a Dawn Dish Soap and water solution and let it sit for up to 30 minutes. This may help get the grease adhered to the cooking surface.

This dishwasher has serious problems. The latch keeps on popping open when the unit is in the middle of a cycle, leaking water and steam. destroyed my new counter top along with the lack of professional service now blaming the bubbled counter-top on the problem. It was fine the first three months. Maytag keeps on sending same people that are saying that the unit has to be mounted in front of the counter top rather than underneath it. We are feed up. It needs to be replaced It id only 6 months old, and Now I have to replace a new dishwasher as well as my new counter due to this defective item

Hello, this isn't a complaint, in fact we have been very happy with our Maytag drier. It has lasted much longer than we expected it to. In fact it still dries great. Unfortunately we struggle to keep the dryer door closed. A piece popped out of the spot where the door locks into the dryer unit. We have been having to tape the door shut or push up boxes against it. Clearly this is not ideal. Is it possible for us to obtain the missing part and repair this ourselves? I have attached photos. Thank you

I purchased my washer and dryer at Lowe's on October 5, 2016 I used my credit card. They delivered it to my new home on November 1, 2016, because I could not get the keys to my new place until October 31, 2017. I have had trouble with this washer from day one, it was spinning my clothes so hard they were wrinkled I could not hang them to dry and sometimes even after putting them in the dryer they were wrinkled. Than the washer would fill with water and not drain, I called whirlpool and they came out on august 2, 2017 the repairman said he needed to reset the washer and he did, now today August 31, 2017 my clothes are in the washer and the water will not drain. I called whirlpool and spoke to customer service she was not helpful she tried to say my warranty ended on August 19, 2017 and this is not true I have until October 5, 2017. I have the receipts. She could not get me a repairman until sept 11 now my clothes have to sit in this water for 11 more days? I am so very disappointed and would just like a new washer a simple one you turn on and turn off. My daughter is here trying to get the wet clothes out of the washer which is a mess! She wanted me to call back to speak to a manager but I am an 80 year old lady and live alone and this has me very overwhelmed! I spent $1, 190 on this washer and dryer and I am dissatisfied. I did not call back to speak to a manager but I did call Senator DeWines office and reported a complaint

May 2014 we purchased a Maytag XL electric dryer from Lowes. The dryer caught on fire 8/2017. Repairmen said our family was very lucky I was at home when this happen. Heating element burnt out and dryer sounded like an airplane when running. Very disappointed in the quality of this machine. Purchased a new Maytag dryer without steam and dryer vent is located in the top of dryer. I understand Maytag is no longer making this model. Thank goodness!

In October of 2015, we purchased a Maytag MVW X655DWO SERIAL #C53243873. This machine would not complete the last spin cycle, leaving soap and water still in the washer. The machine would not spin the clothes as fast as it had been. The repairman came out, was here less than ten minutes and said this machine was not made well and that it had bad tub bearings estimating the cost of the bearings to be $650. - $700. In other words, machine less than two years old and it is more expensive to repair than buy a new one. He said when he heard the noise and saw the tub he knew what it was because the majority of calls he has on Maytag machines lately have been this same problem. He advised me to go to a used appliance store and buy a ten to fifteen year old machine if I truly want a reliable "Maytag". He has worked on Maytags for years & said they are inferior products because even though they have Maytag on the machine. They are actually made by Whirlpool & no longer made to be repaired. I am just sick. All that money for a new "energy"efficient " machine that took 2-3 times longer to do a load of clothes.
I really think we should be reimbursed something for this machine. The manufacturer knows about these issues. Can't make any money selling parts, make them to need to be replaced every two years. Washing clothes for two people. We are retired and do not have this kind of money.
