Warranty repair order
Purchased commercial washer and dryer 5/22/19. Appliances came with 5 year warranty. Both require repair work. Called 800 number and sat on hold for 90 minutes and gave up. Went online and tried to schedule repair time. Site did not work. Called big George's where appliances were purchased. They tried the web site as well and could not get it to work for scheduling. Called another 800 number and sat on hold for 90 minutes and talked to someone who opened two work orders for repair. Received email confirmation and identified repair company. Called them and they had not received repair order. Waited 48 hours and still nothing. Called 800 number again. Waited 55 minutes to talk to someone. They located the work orders and said they would put them through again. Called repair company again. They finally got the order but said it was not entered correctly for warranty repair work. Called 800 number again. And supposedly the order was corrected for the repair work. I am still waiting to get the repair work completed. I will never buy Maytag appliances again based on your customer service. It has taken 6 days and hours sitting on hold and still no repair work done. Ridiculous.
Washer purchased in 2016
This is only 6 years old and all the sudden would no longer drain or wash I called and Maytag wants more money it says it has a 10-year warranty that is one of the reasons I bought it now what I have a washer that looks brand new and doesn't work I have taken very good care of it read the manual cleaned it on a regular basis and now this I really am disappointed I thought Maytag backed up there product

On Dec. 28, 2021, I purchased a Maytag washer. By Aug. 2022 it wasn’t working, and I had a authorize repairman come out to repair it. This was in the first week in Sept. It had a leaking gasket, and he came out and replaced it. Still it wouldn’t work. The circuit board on top was replaced. That didn’t fix it. Then the other circuit and gearcase was supposed to be replace. This was in late Oct, the repairman had to order it because he didn’t have it in stock. It takes 21 business days to get this part. Because of a screw that wouldn’t come out, without damaging everything, he had to reorder this part again. This is late Nov now and I just hear that another 21 business days will have to be waited on. I called Whirlpool, who owns Maytag now, and they are unwilling to replace the washer until this part is replace. They did extend my warranty but how good will this washer be?
So here I am at 73 hauling baskets out in Michigan’s weather to wash them. So much for buying Maytag.

I had bought a new Maytag washer in the end of May. The washing machine went out in August and we have had a company by the name of Sloan Appliance out of West Columbia SC. Been here 5 times in 9 weeks. They have replaced the main board twice and still today it’s still not working. They have never give us a ticket and we have never seen what they do.
Desired outcome: I want a different washer been waiting for 9 weeks
Maytag dishwasher
Received new mother board about 4 weeks ago. Took between 5-6 weeks to get repaired. Less than 1 year old... So without appliance all that time. 4 weeks later same issue, will be another 4-6 weeks for repair... And this is unacceptable on all fronts..., christmas coming will be without appliance again, company coming etc, I want maytag to replace this defected appliance with a new model. Obviously there is an issue with this model's motherboards, and their replacement parts... As mine (the replacement) was defective in 4 weeks... After replacing... Am working with retailer, and your rep, but process is so slow and cumbersome, trying to deal with warranty etc is very frustrating... And I do not wish to have to go through this process again, nor the wait time without the dishwasher over the hoildays...

I have had this washer and dryer for 5 years and the washer is rusting away. I contacted Maytag and they sent a technician out to tell me that the cabinet brace was bad and it is not economical to repair. He quoted me $585.53 to fix the washer. I've never had a washer or dryer to do this especially being only 5 years old. There are only 2 people that live in my household, so the washer does not get overused, nor do I overfill it. This is totally unacceptable under any circumstance, and feel that Maytag needs to make this right.

Repairman ordered control panel. Part not in stock at parts warehouse. Waiting for months still no part. I’ve not been contacted, so I initiated contact. No one knows when the part will be in stock. Finally got the repair company to inquire to supplier for resolution. It’s been about 60 days since the washer broke down. I have cancer, going lto laundrymats has been too difficult, so I was forced to purchase another cheap washing machine.
I trusted Maytag to sell me a better than average appliance. I certainly paid more than the average price for it.
Desired outcome: I want a new machine or a refund. I don’t feel like Maytag has taken care of me. Trust has not been earned in this case.
Maytag front load washing machine Mod #MHW5630HW
We purchased our washer and it was delivered Mar 2 , 2022. After about ten washings error codes appeared on the screen and the door is locked and will not open. Called warranty people 6-21. Appointment made for 6-28. No show from the repairman. Rescheduled for 7-13. Repairman said it had a bed board and ordered a new one. Still waiting on replacement board. It is now 11-21, over four months. They say it is on backorder. New ETA about every three weeks. We have been carrying our clothes to the laundrymat since June. The reason we bought maytag is because we thought they were dependable. I understand every product is subject to failures, but the least you can do is make it right with your customers. The part number for the board is W11322901.
P.S. This washer was purchased at Lowe's

Bought this dryer from Lowes along with the LP Conversion kit that it said goes with it. Found that the parts we were told to order for LP Conversion 49572A Pin block did not fit. Wrong threads. Called Maytag they said this is the part for it. Called several repair men on it and they could not understand why it would not fit. Ended up taking to a repair man to convert and they said he found this is NOT the right part and the part we needed we could not get. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a dryer. A SIMPLE DRYER. I will never ever purchase a Maytag ever. The service we got from Maytag sucked as we were tossed around from person to person then hung up on when transferred to “service department”. How about you guys make the right freaking parts to convert to LP. We took the dryer back to lowes for a refund

Horrible Product
Bought my maytag washer in Aug. Of 2021 and 2 weeks ago it died. Then the repairman stated that it basically needed rebuilding! The transmission, clutch, etc...
I was then informed that it would take at least 6 weeks for parts to start rolling in. This is the WORST washing machine I have ever had the displeasure of owning and just to be Very Clear, I only do laundry for 2 people! I will NEVER buy another maytag product. I did have to purchase a little Amana washer to cover us until the dang may tag can be re-built and remarkably I LOVE IT! It's smaller but more quiet and cleans better!?! Matagorda may have been a superior product at one time but they CLEARLY are no longer.
Desired outcome: Replace or repair this machine at no charge to us. This machine should not have had the catastrophic failures that it CLEARLY has had.

For the third time in 15 months, the dishwasher has stopped and gives a code F6/E1. After lengthy conversations with Maytag, they extended my warranty the second time, and good thing because the same problem is happening again.
It also takes at least a week to even get a technician to come and take a look. This has been a terrible ordeal in that the dishwasher has been unusable for weeks at a time.
Desired outcome: After 3 times I would like the dishwasher replaced.
Maytag Refrigerator
Bought a new fridge this July, doesn’t work. Maytag put me off on one of THEIR incompetent servicing providers. And because they don’t know how to do their job, I’m now 5 months in without a working fridge. And Maytag doesn’t give a damn. All they keep doing is putting it off on this other company. IT’S YOUR PRODUCT MAYTAG. YOU should be the one to make it right. You want specifics, you can look up my file, you already have it.

My Maytag washing mashing machine purchased on July 4, 2020 from Lowes Home Improvement Store. After two years of normal use, the back left of the washer lid, which is made of plastic has cracked (like many other customers who have purchased this product). This is not a cosmetic issue. This prevents my washer from being able to work because the lid will not latch closed. This replacement of the lid should be cover under the warranty as this is clearly a defect. I had a repair person out, it is going to cost $425 for the lid plus labor, with no guarantees that the new lid will not do the same thing.

My daughter purchased a washer and dryer from Lowes the washer stopped working months ago under warranty, they keep saying the parts are back ordered.
My daughter is a single mom, 4 kids, works 2 jobs and now has to spend her money and go to a laundry mat. She has been without a washer for months and when I called you guys you put me on hold for an hour and when I finally got hold someone, the lady checked and said she located the part and they would call tomorrow, that was last Wed. Nov. 2, today is Nov. 7, I called again and was on hold 90 minutes, and then told she would get right back to me, I hung up after 32 minutes... I called Lowes and told them that I was going to protest in front of their store for selling products of companies who don't care and they are going to let me swap out for a new Washer! They are awesome but MAYTAG SUCKS!

WASHING MACHINE:
*The washing machine agitator starts working and agitating the clothes before there is any water in the tub and twists the clothes and wrinkles them. We have to untangle sheets and pants and other items before putting them in the dryer, and even then, they have deep wrinkles set in after drying them completely.
*We have to use the highest Deep Fill option in order for all of the clothes to get wet during the washing cycle. Before we used that feature, many items came out dry and unwashed. The clothes are above the water line, not completely submerged.
*The Normal Cycle takes way too long to complete. It also rinses the clothes twice, which is unnecessary and a waste of water.
*The spin cycle spins so fast that the clothes are twisted and tangled and there is not an option to spin slower on most settings.
DRYER:
*It doesn't completely dry the clothes using any cycle. We have to add time to the drying cycle, even when we use the wrinkle guard option.
*The clothes come out of the dryer just as wrinkled as they went in from being overly agitated and wrinkled in the wash cycle. Other dryers we've had removed wrinkles during the drying cycle.
*We are very dissatisfied with both machines. We have tried multiple options with each cycle and machine and even had a tech come out and we are still very frustrated with the performance of the machines. Our clothes are wrinkled and unattractive after laundering them. It is exhausting. We would not recommend this Maytag washer and dryer to anyone.

The washing machine is one year old and the paint is chipping away. We contact the manufacturer, they are giving us the runaround. They told us to contact the warranty company. Now, we contact the warranty company and they told us that it’s cosmetic it’s not a mechanical issue. Then they referred us back to the manufacture of Maytag. For the benefit of the doubt we contact MAYTAG one more time and they don’t want to listen to us anymore. They told us they don’t deal with cosmetic problems.
Desired outcome: Our desire outcome is that they should come and remove this Maytag washer off our property and refund us the money, i’ll replace it with a front loader instead.
Maytag washer lid cracked at the left corner hinge
My Maytag washer was purchased on 11-15-19 from a lowes home improvement store After only three years of normal use, the washer lid which is made of plastic has cracked (like many other customers who have purchased this product) This is not a cosmetic issue and this prevents my washer from being able to work because the lid will not latch closed. the engineering company for this product has failed your company as the plastic endured vibrations and various temperature changes when the washer is in use and should have been made of metal and not plastic, and this defect should be covered under this warranty.
Desired outcome: I would like my washer lid replaced at no cost to me.
Poor quality
The top load washer is a to piece of crap. I thought i was spending good money for something that would last. Day after the warranty expired it kept giving me an error code. Had to spend $300 to get some piece fixed from balance issues. Two weeks later this piece of crap is doing the same thing and i know how to load a freaking washer. I have no money now to fix it or even get it replaced. I can't get anyone to help either.

maytag 5.3 cu. ft. top loading washer
We purchased a Maytag 5.3 cu. Ft. Top Loading Washer on 4/22/21. Model # MVW7232HW. Even though my husband leveled this machine, we load items balanced & loosely, & followed all the trouble shooting criteria & guidelines (including watching a video of how to load items), this washer frequently goes off balance...to the point of walking out of the Laundry Room.
We've dealt w/ this problem since our purchase on 4/22/21, & when we concluded that this is the worse washer we've ever purchased, we called the Maytag complaint department. A very congenial associate listened to our complaints & suggested that we try everything I listed above. After 15 minutes of talking in circles, informing her that we had already tried all of her trouble shooting suggestions & explanations, we were told that it was a known "design flaw" & we'd have to live with it. She literally informed us that we would have to keep rebalancing items in the washer every time it strolled out of the laundry room...shaking the whole 2nd floor as it went.
Maytag's claim to fame on their website is that they're "Dependable from Day 1". This is not true...at all. The only reparations suggested were a 40% discount on a new one. Seriously!?! Why would we ever buy another Maytag anything? This washer wasn't cheap, & if this is a known "design flaw", we feel that Maytag/Whirlpool should live up to their slogan & refund our money.
In closing, I will post this complaint on as many forums as possible to save others from wasting their money on a washer with a "design flaw" that Maytag freely admits to.
