Lowe's review: refund of over 784.00 not going to chase bank ( 12 comments)

i basicly bought a rider mower from lowes, only to find out it had a laundry list of problems.i asked that it be refunded.it was purchased on a chase debit card and the refund did not go into the bank.chase said it could take up to a week or a month to see the money return to my account.i believe this is a shady deal which no one wants to claim responsability for. if i owed the bank or lowes for something i am sure they would spend no time sending me harassing phone calls looking for payment.what i want is either a decent rider mower or at the least my money immediately.

I JUST RECIEVED A LETTER TODAY 12/13/2008. WHY IS MY CREDIT LIMIT LOWERED AND WHERE YOU ALL LOWED IT NOW ITS ALMOST MAXED OUT. SO I WILL WORK ON PAYING THE WHOLE DAMN THING OFF AND NEVER USE IT AGAIN, AND I'M SURE THE WILL PLEANTY OF PEOPLE WHO WILL LIKE TO HEAR ABOUT THIS ###!
I WILL ALOSO BE CONTACTING LOWES ABOUT THE SAME THING AND WILL BE TAKING MY BUSSINESS ELSWHERE.

Lowes done the same thing to me after 20 years. My credit limit drop from 2500 to 960 then last week they drop it again to 490. Ive never missed a pay ment never been late an always pay over the minimum payment. Ive emailed them with no reply, so I thank Im going to pay only minimum pay ments till it paided off. AND THE LOWES ###S WILL LOSE ANOTHER CUSTOMER.Can they afford to lose customer with this economy. THIS IS NO WAY TO TREAT LOYAL CUSTOMER.

yeah it does suck but what happens is, they take a look at their sheets and see a marked increase in ppl maxing their cards, and then not paying anymore. So they feel well, lets cut these limits down drastically so ppl cant ding us for so much, and then for the coup de grace, in a month or two, we'll send out letters to all our customers in good standing telling them their interest rate has shot up to 24.99 or something ridiculous

how do i know this, its the exact same pattern Chase, Bank of America, have been using over the past year.. call now guys and close the account so you are locked in at your current interest rate.. otherwise it may be too late

Warranty refused to cover transmission belts even though Troybilt manual tells consumer not to repair transmission themselves and to take to authorized dealer for repair.Just because they put cheap belts in transmission and then won't accept to pay for repair because its a belt.

We purchased a Genie garage door opener in May of last year from Lowes because they offered a rebate that we would receive in 6 to 8 weeks.

It has been 32 weeks and still no rebate.

I called them in August and they said that they have not received our application and to send in an other rebate application.

We did and still no rebate.

I bought a washer and dryer and refrigerator from Lowe's, they delver the product to me, after one month they start to break down, by the repair people I was told that Lowe's sold me used product, that is the why they break down a lot.
What a shame on Lowe's, I filed a complaint with BBB.org, nothing happened, Lowe's is scam.

I filled out and sent to Lowes a postcard that said I would receive $20 for just filling out the card and sending in back in. I received a call several days later from a women representing an environmental company who acknowledged receipt of the postcard and the offer for $20. She stated I could not receive the $20 without an appointment to talk about the quality of Clarksville water.

They refuse to honor my extended warranty. I paid for 3 years extended warranty and they stated that without my reciept they can't fix my washing machine. I have been transferred back and forth for several days and no one for lowes will assist me.

You purchased the extended warranty. Why is Lowe's responsible for keeping up with YOUR paperwork? You were given the receipt and a small booklet with all your warrenty info. You put that away, probably the same place you keep your tax returns. It's that important. lowe's checks out THOUSANDS of customers a month. why are they expected to keep track of each person's purchases. That is one reason they came up with a MYLOWES card.
