Lowe's review: Delivery of a refrigerator I purchased

Went to Lowe's Lauriptnburg on 10/10 to buy a refrigerator. Salesman went to storage area and there was one in stock. Bought the refrigerator for delivery on 10/11. Got a delivery update saying the refrigerator would be delivered between 11 am and 3pm on the 11th. At about 11 am my wife began unloading the old refrigerator food into larger coolers and iced everything down. My wife was home all day and never got a phone call telling us when the refrigerator would be delivered. At 2pm I returned from a short trip and as I entered the street I live on a Lowe's truck was pulling up to the front of my house. I pulled in behind the truck and waited a couple of minutes for the driver to move or get out. Instead he drove away and NEVER returned. I then began calling numerous lowe's numbers to find out why the driver drove away and whether he was coming back on the 11th. I got a variety of answers such as: "delivery is on it's way", "delivery was attempted", etc. Several Lowe's employees in fact verified the driver pulled up to our house because he posted a photo of our mailbox with the street address shown. The driver NEVER got out of the truck. With all the lies and run around we got all afternoon we called Lowe's around 6pm on the 11th and and CANCELLED the order. While we may buy small items we can purchase and carry out we will NEVER again make a purchase from this Lowe's that has to be delivered.

On top of all the above we lost a small amount of food that we could not get in the coolers. Fortunately most of our food stayed cold and was put back in the old refrigerator when we cancelled the order. Lowe's (at least the local one) has really gone downhill with customer service. We have spent many thousands of dollars at the local lowe's in the past 10 years but that won't happen again.
