I would like to file a formal complaint regarding your LBC McArthur branch in Urdaneta City, Pangasinan.
On August 20 at around 5:35 PM, I went to your branch to send important documents. I clearly and properly wrote down the correct address where the documents were supposed to be delivered. However, the address printed on my receipt was incorrect.
I only noticed the mistake after I had already left the branch, so I immediately went back to inform the staff about the incorrect address. I was told that they could no longer change it because their system had already been closed. I was also told not to worry because the documents would supposedly still reach the correct address.
Of course, I was still not comfortable with that explanation because the documents I sent are important. I asked them to at least write the correct address on the receipt they had given me and sign it, so that I would have proof of the correct address and know who to approach in case the documents were lost or delivered incorrectly.
What made the situation even more upsetting was when one of your staff told me that next time, they would no longer accept my shipment if I came at an inconvenient or late time.
I found that comment extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. I checked your website regarding the branch’s operating hours, and it states that the branch is open until 7:00 PM. If your branch is open until 7:00 PM, why was I treated disrespectfully for coming back at around 5:35 PM to report and address an error that was made by your staff?
I would not have had to return to the branch if they had entered the correct address and properly done their job in the first place. I was simply trying to make sure that my important documents would reach the correct destination. Instead of receiving assistance and an apology for the mistake, I was made to feel like I was the one causing a problem.
This is unacceptable. Your staff made the mistake, yet I was the one who was treated as an inconvenience and even told that my future shipments might not be accepted.
I am requesting that management seriously investigate this incident and take appropriate disciplinary action against the staff involved. I believe that if an employee makes a mistake, they should take responsibility for it and treat the customer with respect, especially when the customer is simply trying to protect important documents from being lost or delivered to the wrong address.
I hope LBC takes this complaint seriously and addresses the behavior of the staff involved. Customers should not be made to feel disrespected or unwelcome because they are asking employees to correct an error made by the branch.
I look forward to your response and to knowing what action will be taken regarding this incident.
