On October 4, 2023 at 8:30 AM I arrived at LabCorp on Berkshire Valley Rd., Oak Ridge New Jersey 07438.

I needed to get my cholesterol levels and my blood sugar levels checked.

The phlebotomist on staff was very nice very friendly but unfortunately, she did a very bad job in drawing my blood and a lot of mistakes were made. I am a phlebotomist myself.

I was stuck three times with a butterfly needle no less and all three times the veins were missed. The tourniquet was never taken off. Finally she got some blood but what really upset me the most is that the phlebotomist opened the vials and poured my clotted blood from an SSTS tube into a lavender tube which is unacceptable as now that blood can be contaminated and affect my results. I should’ve never been stuck three times and I felt it was necessary to report this incident because if it can happen to me, it can happen to anyone and I do not want to see anyone’s blood results come back wrong due to an error on the phlebotomist.

Desired outcome: There needs to be another person at this site to make sure this does not happen again. I also want to retake my blood work at another facility. So it should be out in my record so I will not be charged nor need another prescription.
