Jet Airways (India) Ltd.lost baggage and delay in take off due to not working of conveyor belt

Dear Sir,

My name is Ms. Shoba Grace Jacob Wilson John. I had to travel to Mumbai on emergency on December 2, 2016 by your airline flight 9W571 which was scheduled at 21:55 and to reach Mumbai at 04:05hrs on December 3, 2016.

I arrived at Kuwait airport around 6:30 pm and got the boarding pass but as the conveyor belt was not working, all the passengers were asked to move to Zone 3 to with our luggage. 4 times we were asked to shift to new queues for jet airways passengers. Then lastly we were asked to go to the counter where we got the boarding pass that is zone 2. There we were asked to leave our trolley with the luggage at the counter.

The display board was showing final call for jet passengers. After immigration we had to run to the gate. Because of hurried check in and tension, I fell down while I was getting into the bus. No one offered a hand to help me. After few minutes, a service boy helped me with my hand baggage.

Atlast the flight took off at 11:40pm. Reached Mumbai around 6am.
I got my hand luggage which was also send in the cargo, the reason told was that the flight was full so... (I did not understand the meaning of it).
I had a carton which was missing. After looking for 4 to 5 times, I went to the Jet counter to complaint. Other 4 passengers were already there with the same complaint. After the details were taken down, I was given with a receipt of the same to follow up. I was told that the box will reach at the given address next morning that is December 4, 2016. I was departing on the same day to Kuwait as I told in the beginning it was an emergency travel. On the same day morning I tried to call on the contact given on the receipt by the counter staff. But no response.

My flight back to Kuwait was at 18:55hrs on December 4, 2016. After I got the boarding pass, I checked with the counter staff about my lost luggage. He talked to somebody on the phone and said that luggage is already given to the concerned to deliver to the given address. I was relieved by the news. But till today, it has not reached my home.

How can one rely on such services and flight for our travel?. What compensation or consolation would you give to the passenger who have faced such situation?. This was the first time I have experience such a lag and insult. I am here in Kuwait since 1992. I have travelled in all airlines even jet also but this was the experience I had never in my life.

While writing the complaint I got a call from my home that they received the box today ie December 6, 2016 at 4:30 pm.

If the contents were perishable items then, who will pay the compensation?.

My only suggestion is that kindly take care of the passengers of your airlines, as we are not travelling free of cost. Think about the families with small kids and adults who are sick or health wise weak.

    Jet Airwaysrefund for cancelled trip

    I am very surprised that my request for the reimbursement regarding my unused flight from Amsterdam to Toronto was not accepted, seeing how I had to skip it due to the serious illness I had experienced and also due to the hospital treatment it required.
    The ticket was purchased at the Travel Agency “FLY FLY TRAVEL” in Belgrade for a flight on the tenth of October. Unfortunately my health was seriously worsened and I was admitted in the hospital on the eighth of October. On October ninth the Travel Agency “FLY FLY TRAVEL” was informed and a refund was asked for. According to the information from the Travel Agency, the request was forwarded to Jet Airways. On November fourteenth the Agency told me that my request was denied by the Jet Airways Company.
    I am sending documents that prove my incapability to travel anywhere at that time:

    The patient was admitted through the department for urgent internal care due to coughing difficulties, a high temperature up to 38 degrees Celsius, breathing difficulties, disorientation and confusion. The aforementioned problems arose 5 days prior to admission. The patient had been suffering with lung problems throughout his medical history, and now also suffers with HOBP, HTA. The patient was treated by radiotherapy due to prostate cancer. Smoker. The patient is allergic to wasp stings.
    The patient was conscious, however disoriented in all three forms, had difficulties with movement, eupneic, afebrile, regular omg*, normal eating patterns, no discolouration of skin and no evident dicolouration of mucous. The patient seems to have severe health issues. THORAX: symmetrical respiratory movement. PULMO: through auscultation a weak respiratory murmur was detected but with no follow-up. COR: rhythmic heart beats, clear tones, no murmurs heard. Frequency of about 70/min. TA 170/100mm Hg. ABDOMEN: in line with the thorax, tender, not palpatory sensitive to pain when deep palpation is conducted, liver and spleen are not palpated. Renal succession negative on both sides. EXTREMITIES: no edema, no varicosity or deformity.
    LABORATORY FINDINGS: positive inflammation syndrome (CRP 119.3..12.7). Leukocytosis in hemogram (Le 15.6..11.6, Er 4.72..4.77, Hgb 15.2.. 15.4, Htc 45.6..46.6, Tr 191.. 249).       Jet Airwaysground staff did not allow us to board the flight

      My wife and I were traveling back to Chandigarh from Manali to catch a flight to Mumbai. Since the distance is long we left Manali at 7:30am and reached the airport by 4pm for a 18:00 flight. We checked in our bags and completed the security check as well and were waiting at the lounge after security checks as that's the only place where there is coffee and bathroom. The gate assigned to us was gate no.4. The last we checked our flight was scheduled. I received a message from jet saying the flight was scheduled to depart at 18:20. After which both my wife and me were waiting at the lounge. Wondering what's taking the flight so long, I checked at 18:00 and saw on the monitor as boarding. I rushed to gate no.4 to be told to my horror by jet ground staff Anmol Sharma that we have missed our flight. Mr.Anmol Sharma justified himself by saying that he had announced out our names 3 times. What is strange is that the waiting area on the floor above gate 3&4 do not have speakers close to it. Although the speakers can be seen in front of the gates 3&4. I tried to explain to him that we have had a long day and would like to catch the flight. But Mr.Sharma was arrogant in his behavior in providing any comfort. I tried to reason with him that if I have checked in my bags why would I want to miss my flight. Why couldn't they call my mobile, which many times before I have been called in situations like this. Another strange thing was that there was another guy with us who did not also hear the announcement but was allowed to board the flight as he had some airport badge. Mr.Sharma very conveniently had removed our baggages from the flight . I am not sure how am I supposed to look at this. No jet staff were seen anywhere looking for us. I had to pay through my nose to get the next available flight to Mumbai. I want this to be addressed at the earliest else I will pursue with the consumer grievance court

        Jet Airwayslost baggage deal

        Such an unprofessional and full of disgrace and junk airline i ever seen in my life. Such an horrible experience of journey. Lost my baggage. Got sick after having food on plane. Disgusting airline with full of crap... I wish i could do something against this crap airline. No feeling of responsibility and liability even after declaring the bag as lost one.

          Jet Airwaysticket cancellations and refund

          Hi, I purchased a round flight tickets from heathrow to kathmandu for the 27th of december 2016. Yesterday, I logged into the site to make changes in the booking, the seats mostly. My daughter was playing with the ipad and the next thing I know is the booking has been mistakenly cancelled ! I ran the customer service immediately to let them know that it was an error and the response I got is my tickets has been cancelled and its non refundable. The ticket cost me £622, and I called them immediately in just 5 minutes and the only response I get is sorry its been cancelled, nothing can be done and do another booking if you want to take a flight !!. I was hoping for a really understandable response as it was just 5 minutes. Now I really cant afford to purchase another flights again. The customer service as equally bad, not courteous or empathetic at all. So disappointed, I am still trying to figure out how I can get around with a solution.

            Jet Airways (India) Ltd.money stolen from luggage

            I was travelling from chennai to jodhpur via mumbai with jet airways (Pnr: joojpc) and I checked in my luggage in chennai which was to be directly collected from our final destination i. E. Jodhpur. But after reaching home I found rs 8000 missing from my luggage. It is very irresponsible on the part of jet airways. They should ensure security of the passengers luggage from their staff members.

              Flight # 9W 0544 Mumbai to Dubai dated 25/08/2016 (seat # 28H)

              Flight arrived on time at Dubai at 20:35 Hrs, but there was a complete chaos about the baggage and it took almost 100 minutes from the time of arrival and until I collected by baggage. Officials were not aware and not able to give proper explanation for the delay.

              I feel this is complete miss management and unsatisfactory service and
              un-acceptable that too from Jet Airways.

              Please explain the reason for the delay and How Jet Airways will ensure smooth and fast services?

                Jet Airwaysflight cancellation - disproportionate refund

                I bought a round trip ticket blr - hkg - blr through makemytrip.com for approx. Rs. 26000. Layover sector to hkg was bom & for the return leg del. Blr - bom - hkg was a good trip. On 2nd aug morning around 4am I received a text from jetairways informing me of the cancellation of the del - hkg flight & consequent cancellation of flt 9w 77 from hkg - del. Because it was less than 24 hours before scheduled departure I was unable to cancel or change the flight through the makemytrip app, on the phone or on the jet airways app, through jetairways, airport staff and other methods. Consequently, I was unable to take my connecting flight 9w 811 del - blr on 2nd aug.

                I booked a separate return on the jet airways app for a full fare price of rs 25000 & when speaking to jet airways customer service and staff on aug 3rd received confirmation that I am entitled for a full refund for the cancelled sector hkg - del - blr.

                Makeytrip agrees, but tells me that jet airways says that the sector flown is valued at rs 25000 & the sector not flown is valued at approx. Rs 1000 which is the refund I will get. This is preposterous.

                How is the return sector or 50% of the journey valued at less than 1% of the entire purchase. Why is the airline not responsible for replacing the cancelled journey or I would like a full refund of the new flight ticket that I purchased to replace my return flight.

                  Its been third day since I first contacted Jet Airways they seems to be not bother at all. Why do Jet Airways try to promote and trap innocent travelers who expect bit of service to enjoy their travel to new countries and rely on them for their travel related inquiries. Once you have made the booking with them. they kind of don't wanna know you coz they are too busy trapping other innocent travelers. I would request other travelers who have experienced bad customer service from Jet Airways stand together to show them that we are united and would not tolerate bad customer service.

                  They would not refund the money and would not accept passport as proof of identity.

                    i m belonging from bhilwara city rajasthan, distance from jaipur near about 300km, on above date mere uncle ki jet airways ki flight jaipur se miss ho gyi thi, aur uske bad unhone yeh ticket jaipur airport se cancel krva di thi us tym jaipur staff ne unhe kha ki apko 3000rs refund aa jayega but mere uncle us tym jaldi me unse cancelation ki invoice lena bhul gye. Yeh ticket unhone via company ke agent ke through karvayi thi aab vo via ka agent bolta hai ki company ko koi refund nhi aaya hai aur agr refund aaya hai to airlines wale refund invoice dete hai vo submit karvao tabi refund aayega. Me kal special jaipur airport refund invoice lene gya but airport office walo ne bi invoice dene se mana kr diya hai. Sir plz apse request hai ki aap mujhe mere registered email pe vo invoice available krva de.

                      Dear Sir,

                      My son Soumendra Kumar Dash ( FF [protected]) travelled on 11th Jul 2016 from Kuwait to Mumbai on Jet Airways flight 9W571.

                      His checked in luggage did not arrive at Mumbai Airport. He was not informed by the airlines that his baggage was not loaded till he approached them after waiting one hour at the baggage conveyor belt due to excessive load in the aircraft.

                      He was given a Property irregularity report (attached) for not getting the baggage and assured that his baggage will reach his hostel in Ranchi at the address provided in the report in 1-2 days.

                      My son is a student who is staying in a hostel. He was carrying all his clothes and cooking utensils etc which he was carrying to cook his food in Ranchi. Now he will have to purchase a set of clothes and have to take food outside.

                      My son is left in Ranchi all alone with only the clothes he is wearing and has to eat his food outside in hotels as his baggage was not loaded into the aircraft. This is not an acceptable situation and Jet Airways should take prompt and immediate action to deliver his luggage directly to Hostel address mentioned within 24 hours.

                      Also I claim compensation for delay for purchasing spare clothes, toiletries and food till the checked in baggage is delivered to his hostel.

                      Expecting a sppedy resolution to his problem.

                        Jet Airways (India) Ltd.mental harassment by the staff of jet airways

                        I had booking for my flight from Amritsar to Toronto under the PNR No: OMXNOC for which I had to board my flight from Amritsar to New Delhi at 6:35 pm on 27th June, 2016 ( Flight No:9W739) and the next flight from New Delhi to Toronto at 2:35am on 28th June, 2016 (Flight No: 9W234).
                        While checking-in for the flight at Amritsar Airport, the attendant at the counter for Jet airways who was a girl, knowing that the weighing scale of that particular counter wasn't working well and showed more weight than it actually was told me to remove a total of about 4 kgs of weight from both my check-in bags whereas the combined excess baggage of both bags was only about 500grams as told by the attendant of the next counter. I was forced to remove so much of my stuff from my bags on the spot and this caused a lot of inconvenience for me. It also affected my health because of the stress and tension it caused. The lady mentally harassed me by doing such an idiotic thing. I had to remove so much of my important stuff also. It was mentally torturing. And later when the attendant of the next counter told us about the faulty scale, she did not even apologize. Attending to a customer, that too a lady travelling alone, you should be more considerate and cooperative, but the staff turned to mentally harassing me . As per your excess baggage charges, which would be about Rs.2000 for 4kgs ; which I was forced to take out of my bags; I want compensation for the same. I would like to know how you would be compensating for the inconvenience caused and paying me the amount for those 4kgs.
                        You are requested to look into the matter deeply and take action against the attendant as soon as possible.
                        Also I want the compensation to be done as soon as possible.

                          Sir/ Madam,
                          I am a resident of Mumbai, I along with my family planned a vacation to Jaipur from 03/06/2016 to 08/06/2016. We booked our hotels online and along with hotel we booked our round trip ticket with Jet.
                          Our tickets were pre-booked in above mentioned flight from Jaipur to Mumbai for
                          June 08, 2016. We reached Jaipur airport at 4.00pm and went to Jet Konnect counter, there the staff said that the counter is closed and you can't board the flight because the boarding is closed. We were just 5 minutes late the counter was closed only at 03.55 pm. We were 5 adults and 1 child travelling. Our tickets in total cost us Rs. 33714/- for round trip. And, we were straight away denied to board.
                          Staff on the counter was so rude, ruthless and incorporative that no one was ready to answer any of our questions and they didn’t help us board the flight even. Staff there literally left the counter and went somewhere because we were asking them to let us board the flight. They completely wasted our time and purposely didn’t let us board the flight. I am sure that they re-sold our tickets and deliberately stopped us from boarding the flight. I want you to show me the details of my seats whether my seats were empty or anyone else was traveling on my seat. If you want you can check the CCTV footage of my arrival and how Jet staff was behaving when there was ample of time left for boarding. No one was ready to check or corporate. Jet staff said that this is our general protocol and we have to follow the rules. If this is your regular protocol than why is it only for a commoner why can't you be the same with VIP's?
                          Let me share on incidence with you, I was traveling by Jet airways on February 05, 2016 from Bombay to Coimbatore, flight no.: 9W 423, timing: 06.10pm our flight was delayed by 20mins just because there was a VIP traveling in the same flight and he was late. Isn't there a procedure for VIP? Isn't this a mere case of discrimination? Doesn't this shows that Jet Airways don't care for commoner?
                          On inquiry with your staff we came to know that the flight was overbooked, the next flight to Mumbai was also overbooked it had capacity of 156 and ticket sold were 167. This confused us as how can tickets sold can be more than the seating capacity and then we got it, they close the counter and not let the people to board the flight and earn some extra bucks with this tricks. Right in front of me they denied eight people with this trick, among the eight we were the six victims and there was another couple who got caught in their trap. My point here is we lost much more than what you earned by reselling our tickets at last minute premium price. We had to rebook our flight tickets for next day, rebook hotel and vehicle and moreover we had so much of time wasted.
                          For all this inconvenience caused to me and my family, I hereby request you to refund my money as a courtesy gesture. Please do the needful and oblige.

                            Pnr jztvkj.
                            Date of booking : 02/06/2016 ; 1444 hr
                            Amount rs 6540
                            As I did not receive the sms on my mobile immdly, I contacted customer care at [protected] at around 245 pm and informed them about the money being deducted from my ac towards full fare amount of rs 6540. The customer care executive informed me that the amount has been received by jet airways and the ticket will be issued by 330 pm. After necessary verification, he also gave me the pnr generated by the system.
                            After I did not receive the sms / e-mail by 330 pm, I checked the website of jet airways at 330 pm. On being entering the pnr, the message came on the screen with the names of passengers and flight no. And shown that the economy b with status as confirmed. Thereafter I didnot check further. I was also not informed by jet airways about the issue till that time either by e-mail/sms.
                            When I checked again around 6 30 pm on 02/06/2016 with pnr status, I was informed that the pnr entered is not linked to any flight. I immediately contacted the customer care at around 630 pm. I was informed that the itinerary has been cancelled. I told the executive that the amount has been confirmed and yr website also shown me the confirmed status. By that time also, the ticket fare has been increased to about rs 4500. The advised me that fresh booking is required, which I refused to do at a higher fare. I stated that the booking amount has been paid by me and credited to jet airways account and as such the pnr to be activated. They could not come with any solution.
                            On 03/06/2016 at 930 am, I spoke to mr. Rawat at customer care and informed him the transaction id for payment of full fare to jet airways for my travel. He promised to come back after 3-4 hours but never came. I again spoke to mr. Vimlesh at customer care centre but with no results.
                            Is is not imaginative and shocking that even after full payment of fare, jet airways are not issuing the ticket ? They always spoke to refund of amount and fresh booking with higher fare, which I flatly refused.
                            I request jet airways to issue me the ticket to avoid confusion and loss of time.

                              Dear Madam.

                              I have sent E-mail to [protected]@jetairways.com and have received only few E-mails from Mr. Muzzmill stating my case will be investigated but in spite of asking about my case repeatedly nothing has been done to provide me justice. Hence I thought I would make this incident highlight to you'll.

                              My name is Kedarnath Arun Prabhu and I was traveling from Singapore airlines flight SQ 246, Seat 58C from Brisbane to Singapore via connecting flight SQ 422, Seat 46G from Singapore to Mumbai on 23rd May night. I received my luggage at Mumbai Airport on 24th May morning and I always check my luggage after I receive it, it was all FINE, Locks Intact.

                              I reached Mumbai at 10.30am on 24th May morning I had a Jet Airways flight to Goa from Mumbai, 9W 2384, Seat 14C, PNR No:- YHXTIY, departing at 15.20 hours. I checked in my luggage early at 11.30am and sat for my flight to board. When I received my luggage at Goa Airport, it was all opened, lock broken, my clothes missing and my Important Box piece iPhone 5s Gold, 16 GB missing. Kindly find attached image of the broken Zip lock. I am frequent international traveler so please note I am not messing around with regards to this incident. The next day I already have filed a complaint at Jet Airways Counter on the Arrival of Goa Airport.
                              I think my box has been flicked at Mumbai airport by some jet airways employee as I checked in my luggage for my Goa flight at 11.30am and I had my next flight at 3.30pm, so the robber got a lot of time to fiddle with my luggage. I think when my baggage was screened, the information was already pass on about a phone being present in my baggage.

                              I do not care about my clothes but I want my Important Box piece iPhone 5s Gold, 16 GB. Its very imp to me as It hold very imp details about my life. I also wish to claim damages to my new VIP Luggage costing Rs.10000/-

                              I expect some decency and expect some positive reply from you'll after being neglected.

                                Jet Airways (India) Ltd.ticket refund

                                I booked a ticket for april 29th - reference (Pnr) – akgycq from doha to trivandrum, which has been cancelled on april 26th, I h've send request to jetaiways ([protected]@jetairways.com) to update about the refund amount. Its almost past one month iam following up in that email, no information received. Why these airlines taking these much time in updating refund amount

                                  I was travelling by the flight of jet airways dtd. 26th feb 2016 of 10:40 am from t3 new delhi to baghdogra.In my luggage I had cash rs. 16000 / - and few coins. After reaching home I found that my luggage cash and coin were taken away by the airline co. And my luggage clothes were messed. My luggage id. Is 5589 9w358311.

                                    Jet Airwaysrefuse to provide service after full payment

                                    I booked a two way ticket from dubai to bhopal, from jet airways using make my trip. Unfortunately there has been a typo error in my second name instead of ‘rai’ it is printed as ‘rao’. This might cause a problem at immigration, so to get it changed I made multiple calls to make my trip and jet airways as the journey date is mid-april and there is still enough time to sort this. Both the ends have been passing ball to each other’s court saying they can’t do anything about it, but ultimately it is jet airways decision as they are the service provider.

                                    Jet says the name change on ticket once issued is impossible, unless it was booked from their own website. Also the ticket being non-refundable, I need to cancel this ticket (With no refund) and book a new one. This is so impractical and unfair for a customer. I am paying full amount to a company for its service and the company will charge me twice for the same service just because I made a single letter typo error. What sort of company policy is this which is unfair and harassing for the customer?  I have informed the company within 24 hours of ticket booking, when the travel date is 2 months far and still they are not ready to cooperate at all. It seems that there has been a typo error on my passport itself.

                                    I am ready for all evidence (My passport, credit card used for booking ticket) but the company is just blinded by their unjust policy. I feel cheated as I have paid the company but they are refusing to offer me their service. I have to attend a very important event in india but all hopes are lost as I cannot give double amount to book the same ticket again. I understand the name change on ticket is not possible, but will be grateful if the company can be reasonable enough to cancel the current ticket and issue new one with correct name. I don't mind paying a penalty fees for this.
