I bought a 2006 Ford Explorer. I had the car a little over 2 months I got laid off my job and did everything I could to pay all my payments on time! And never missed one payment! I did however lose my Insurance. CNAC called me because i lost the insurance and I told them the truth. I told them I was going to borrow money to pay it and I'd have it in no...

Purchased a car May 1, 2012. Car required service almost immediately. Spent most of a day in the service department fixing all that was wrong. When we tried to leave the starter blew up and had to be replaced before we could leave. The same check engine code came on a second time. The company could not make reasonable arrangements to repair the car. Then...

J.D. Byrider please stay far away fro this dealership

This was my first car I was buying from a used car dealership, & i went in there blind & they knew it! I picked out the car I wanted @ from the first week I had problems with it. Half the time the car was un drivable & or in the shop for repairs but they would make sure my car note was paid every other week. I was driving home from work one afternoon when the car finily died! It was smoking & I had to have the tow truck come in. Can you beleive they tried to tell me someone broke into my gas tank & filled it with some bleach & some other cleaning fludis. I didnt have an enemy in the world & couldnt beleive something like that could happen. I mean I just drove the car across the city right before i broke down, & I do know that if there was bleach & other cleaning stuff in the gas tank my car would of never made it as far as I took it that day. I had to pay them $900.00 for them to fix everything. But that was just the biginning of my problems. About 9 months after I got the car my transmission went. It was gonna cost me so much to fix but the fummy thing about that is right before my warrenty was up I took the car in to the shop & had them look at it cause I coyld tell something was not right, they said "it was good, the trany was fine" not even 1 week later it went. I then had it towed back to them & told them I would not pick it up until the car was fixed & fixed RIGHT! I got a letter in the mail stating if I didnt pay the $7, 000 i owed they were gonna sell my car. The nightmare is that when I went up to the dealership every car on the lot was gone & there wasnt even a chair in the office. They were CLOSED! for good, Went out of Business, dont no where my car is bu tIm working on that now. Please stay far away fro this dealership.

Save yourself - do not buy a car from this company! When you are approved to buy a vehicle, they give you three different vehicles to choose from - each one being worse then the last. Then they over inflate the price of the vehicle by over 400% and tell you that it's not a car loan, but a "program". You end up paying for the vehicle at least 4 times over. Save yourself and your wallet.

J.D. Byrider Pulls illegal stunts

I recently fell behind on my payments. For those of you that have criticize others on here, let me make one point, and that is that I did always make my payments, and fell behind due to a medical condition that kept me from work and drained my savings. I called CNAC, and advised of the situation. I tried to work with them, offering partial payments, but was declined. CNAC stated that the only option is to make the total payment. CNAC then began harassing me, acting as if I was dodging them which was NEVER the case. The contacted friends and family members, my place of work, and even called my neighbors. The would call their homes, cells, and places of work. I even was advised that CNAC had stopped at my neighbors to get personal information about me. I asked several time to stop the harassment, but they advised that they have every right to call, and stop at the residency, of anyone they want to contact me. Again, I NEVER dodged their calls, and always returned calls that I missed. I finally was able to pay the past due balance that was owed after returning back to work, and getting my Federal tax return. The local office closed recently, and the nearest office is now 45 miles away. They demanded that I drive the 90 miles, round tip, to drop off the payment. They offered to take the payment by phone, but will charge a $5.00 fee, plus I know that they keep my cc# info and do not want to take a chance with these people. They also offer a auto pay, but again, I do not trust these people. I sent the payment to them via certified mail. Enclosed in the envelope where two money orders, a letter giving official notification to discontinue calling my friends, family, and neighbors about my account or to get info about me, also a SASE so they could send a receipt for the payment back to me. The letter was received by CNAC the very next day, and two days later I received my SASE, but enclosed was a receipt for less then what I had paid. I also received a letter advising me that my car insurance had been canceled and needed reinstated. This did occur and was due to my financial problems. It had been reinstated, but CNAC had not received notification. Immediately called CNAC and was advised that they did receive the full past due payment, but that they said it was my fault that I didn't get a receipt showing full amt. REAS: I sent 2 money orders and only one SASE! That makes no *** sense. The advised that they will send the other receipt. i also advised them that the insurance was reinstated, and that I will fax the info to them, but due to my work schedule, would not be able to do so for 2 days. I later receive a voicemail message from CNAC and I was advised that they would send the receipt but not until I send the insurance info! I immediately called the BBB regarding this issue. Was advised that they are required to give me a receipt for payment and that I had gone above and beyond by sending a SASE. I called CNAC and advised that I had called BBB and filed an official complaint, That I will not tolerate being bullied by them, and that until they send the receipt for my last payment, no future payments would be sent. I placed the payments in an account, and planned on sending a copy of the receipt to them. Before I was able to do so I received a call back advising that the receipt has been sent to me, and apologized for their actions. I also learned that the FAX number they had given me was no longer in service (I'm wondering if they didn't pay their bill). Since then, the insurance info was sent, I'm up to date on payments, and I haven't received any further calls (and neither have my friends, family, and neighbors) I recommend NEVER getting a car from JD Byrider, Never get financing from CNAC! I know I wont!

Jd byrider and CNAC deals with bad credit then good they go by your Vico scores they are target/ attach to a Vico score of 520. They love that score. They target people with bad credit. Because the lower the score the more they sock you with payments. Car notes at Jd byrider is usually bi weekly not once a month they do that so they can get the value of the payment. They collect it and divide a portion goes to the manager of the location and a portion to your loan officer and the rest to the bank.

The over pice the car blue book for one thing to make extra money to keep them in business.
I used to lease a car my friend who works for the location i went to let me know this how the company works. The company also takes the car to aution when it is not being paid for and handed in. The amount the bank gets from the car aution and the amount is still owed they said you have to pay for that. But normally the car will sell at aution for all the amount they are looking for they will try to clean the car up and triple sell the amount of the car then it is worth to get rid of the car.

They buy cars and sell cars when they are not being paid for at the aution it is a guessing game when getting a car at the car lot at JD byrider.

These people are ### sucking no good liars! They got mad because I refinanced for 10% interest instead of their 21%! I didn't have bad credit like they lead me to believe when they pulled up my credit score!
People, do not go to JD Byrider! You will be sorry when you're paying double what your car is worth and no dealer will refinance (like I did) or trade it in because it lost so much value compared to what you owe on it. They do this on purpose to keep you trapped hoping you'll default on your loan and they'll repo the car and sell it again!
My point is don't go there. There are other ways. Before you do anything clean up your credit and even if you have to wait, it'll be better than having a car and then having to get bent over backwards and squeezed dry. Check and see if your credit is as bad as you think. Even if you get a high interest rate it shouldn't be boldly ridiculous.
I don't know why smart people keep falling for this age old bottom feeders who prey on the desperate because THEY are desperate. It's a cycle.

J.D. Byrider scam

My car broke down unexpectedly. My finances were low due to moving and finding a new job. My problem no down payment, not bad credit. An ad for JD Byrider stated "No Down Payment." The website states an inspection is done on every vehicle. Within two weeks, we found out we had no motor mounts, no transmission mounts, a bad fuel pump, and many other repairs. I had to have my AC repaired 3 x's and it still does not work, neither does the heat. They dont stand behind their agreements nor do they have good customer service. I had to fight with them to repair my AC. It was in the shop over 7 x's to be repaired. They just kept stalling until the warranty ran out. I moved over 80 miles away and wore out the warranty driving back and forth without getting repairs fixed. I cant even tell you the humiliation I suffered. Time from work, harrassment from the owner and what I am paying for, for this vehicle and what I am getting. I understand the "desperate" situation I was in brought me to a place like this, but I DID NOT have bad credit, just no down payment. JD Byrider said, no down payment and ended up charging me one to get a car...and charged me interest on the down payment. I am paying for a vehicle that does not work, it is endless and has me broke. My financial situation has changed. They say they do not leave you broke when you finance, but if your situation changes, their financing wont. How would this repair one's credit when bad. Mine was not and is not bad but will be because as soon as I find another vehicle that runs better and is in better shape, I am driving this car to one of their car lots and leaving it there with a sign that says...something very nasty. I dont car that this car would now ruin my GOOD credit. I care that I am giving THIEVES money!

I purchased a car from JD Byrider at the end of Dec. 2010. I had to put 12 references down right then and there. I have my own cleaning business so I used my clients as references which they ended up calling late evening before I had a chance to tell them that i did. That was one strike. Now the rampage I am on now is the beginning of Feb. 2011 they are calling my references soliciting sales to them to buy a car from them, or if they know of someone send them their way. They also used my name and told them I said it was o.k. to call them to solicit this. That's ###. I then got home and read my agreement and references are to be used just for the sole purpose of identifying me. Nowhere in the paper I signed does it say they can call and solicit sales. They now have caused me to lose jobs because my clients were pissed to get these calls. So now I am on an *** kicking rampage with them. I now will have trouble making my bills because of this plus I have to call these people and personally apologize to them for JD ByRyder.

That was rude and made no sense. Try to be more educational when making this statement to the op that had a problem.

@LiloPalilo
It depends on the agent dealing with your account and if they went by the book of their rules at the office. Get a copy of your credit report and then show them what your claiming is good credit they will honor your complaint and if not you can call the BBB for more help in your area. There is always truth when it is blocked by clouds. You will be able to get your down payment back or add it to your loan. Best of luck to you and like i said the BBB will help you.

Not everyone who goes to JD Byriders does it because they have horrible credit and don't work and sit on their butts all day eating bon bons. But no, actually I was able to refinance for 10% interest from Navy Federal Credit Union opposed to JD Byrider's 21%.
Unfortunately I was young and stupid and knew nothing about interest and that a 2005 Chrysler Sebring did not cost $18000 (with interest.) That's highway robbery I don't care who you are or how great your credit is.
The only blame we have is on ourselves for being eager to get a car and stupid for not actually listening to the facts and the contract because they know they're going to walk away with their car when it's over. So to a certain extent the consumers are to blame, but nobody can deny these sub-prime mortgage lenders are doing absolutely nothing to repair anyone's credit!
You go into it knowing you're going to rip us off, and we go in there knowing we're getting ripped off (usually afterwards!)
However that doesn't make it ethical. These people have bad credit history, so you give them a huge payment to make not once a month but every two weeks? You already know they're not going to be on time every time! All companies have at least a day or two of a grace period. You just want them to hurry up and default already so you can further ruin their credit and auction off the car and sell it some other unsuspecting soul. Sick.
And the sickest part is we're allowing it to happen. We all need to be responsible and look out for ourselves these days.
You look around at places like this and wonder what happened to integrity.
If they wanted to help people with bad credit they wouldn't be selling them cars for double what they're worth with interest. That's not HELPING. If you want to help, be fair. Or call it what it really is.
