Horrible dealership
This is the worst company on the face of the earth! My vehicle has been in their possession since June of 2023, they want to return it to me broken, out of warranty and want me to pay for a rental fee in which they said they would cover. When I had dropped it off it was still under warranty. The warranty has run out while in their possession which was probably done intentionally. Now they are refusing to give me my vehicle back unless I pay the bill that they said they would cover in the first place.
I own a fleet of Rams and would never, ever, ever buy a Ram again! All they do is come up with excuses and do not show any results. All of their managers are a bunch of liars and should not be trusted! I am a family owned and operated business, in turn with not having one of my service vehicles has cost my Company and Family a lot of money and time.
Initially they had scheduled with me to drop off my vehicle with them with no intentions of looking at it for another two weeks. During that time they gave me the run around about how their Mechanics quit and they had no one qualified enough to work on my vehicle. Then they advised me to pick it up and return when the problem was recurring again. Well, it did act up and straight to the dealership I went as instructed by them. When I showed up with two videos of the drive there while the problem was occurring and risking my life and others, as the issue with this vehicle is that it goes into "limp mode", I show up in the vehicle while the issue was happening. It couldn't be given to them on more of a silver platter. They were instructed "NOT to turn car off". Blatantly ignoring their prior instructions, they shut the vehicle down.
Every time an issue happened with my vehicle and this dealership I made a claim with Ram Customer Care. Ram customer care does not hold their dealerships accountable for any of their incompetence. That was another debacle. Ram it's self would call the dealership to follow up on my claim and the dealership would lie to them about the progress and situation. After Ram Customer Care struck a deal with them to cover outstanding costs for the rental bill and issued them the funds they are now trying to back charge me for the same funds paid to them by Ram.
It's mind blowing that Ram itself only has two diesel mechanics in the "Motor City" State of Michigan. In the time of such technology, Ram, can only give one instruction every other day to the dealership to try and trouble shoot this problem. Still no end results.
I will never ever buy a Ram product again! I will never recommend Ram, especially Dick Huvaere's Dealership to any of my friends, family or clients.
I have spent countless hours with phone calls, emails and meetings regarding my vehicle, still without any solutions.
HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE company, management and customer service. Do yourself a self a favor and shop elsewhere!
Recommendation: Don't buy from or get anything serviced at Dick Huvaere's
My extended warranty.
I have purchased 2 vehicles at this dealership.When I had problems with my Jeep I was charged 185 dollars for check for problems.Then I was told theprice for a more in depth diagnostic would be 1200dollars and probably not under my warranty.When I had someone else repair it for less than 2000dollars I was told I should have let the dealership doit.The dealership can charge 1200dollars just for the diagnosis?Obviously keeping customers happy not a priority.I called Jeep directly and they apologized.They said they are filing a complaint for me.
Hi Mrs. Trever and Thank you for your feedback. We work hard everyday to make sure our customers leave satisfied with the job that we preformed and the service they received. In your case we have clearly not lived up to your expectations when you brought your Jeep in for service. When we are dealing with warranty, extended warranty or service contract we as the dealership are subject to the processes of the warranty company. In your case the process was to open of the entire engine up >> take pictures >> send pictures into warranty company for their assessment and approval. The reason we needed you to be aware of and approve the diagnostic time is if the warranty company denied the claim. I hope this sheds a little more light on our back end process. Thank you
