My daughter and I decided to order at the drive through today (Sun 9-25-11) at Jack in the Box. At 1st I thought the yelling at the other end of the drive through speaker was a technical issue... but when I was cut off before finished ordering, and rudely yelled at "I know!" when I asked for ranch with my mozerella cheese sticks instead of marinara sauce... (how she knew, I don't know). (The cheese sticks were for my daughter and I glanced at her after the yell- she looked as if she was being yelled at.) Anyway, I was cut-off, yelled at, and told to drive forward... and had not finished ordering. When I got to the window (the receipt says Selina) Selina was huffing and puffing and grabbed for my card & gave me my 2 bags and slams the drive through doors! I looked in them (I'm thinking she might be having a bad day, so I'm trying to smile & be polite).. I wait for her to come back and after the slamming I've lost my smile, but I'm nuetral in tone. She says, huffing, "What ELSE do you want?" I replied, "I asked for ranch with the chicken and the mozerella- instead of marinera." I handed her the 2 marinera and she grabbed them, threw them somewhere and handed me 2... then slammed the window again. That's when I realized I never got to order my daughters' smoothie (cuz I was cut off) and I didn't ask for the amount of ranch she likes... more than 2 for lg crispy chicken and lg mozerella sticks. I understand having a bad day... the drive thru had maybe 4 cars (mine was the 3rd) and the parking lot had mayyybe 3. I thought I was a nice customer, but I won't be back.

Jack, you're killing me... And not the way I want you to either, by over-indulging in your super unhealthy and greasy food. Today is already crap because its the 10th anniversary of 9/11/01, a sad day indeed. So I go to try and get my favorite snack: bacon cheddar potatoes with sour cream. The first J in the B had NO SOUR CREAM, which I've ran into before today... So I opted to go to another Jack that was on my way home. This one forgot to pit bacon on the potatoes, so I just had a big glob of cheese with no bacon on them... The worst part being that I didnt realize until I got home, and dont see the point in trecking back for bacon bits. You also have an employee at your J in the B in Lake Stevens, Wa who always hits on customers, steels from the register, and does drug deals out of the drive thru. He says stuff you can be sued for, so you should really pay more attention to your restaurants.

Nope. They are the ones tweaking. I wrote this on my phone sothe grammar and spelling are not perfect... They are really disrespectful, And no, its not worth me suing them, i just stated that they hire employees who do and say things that could get them sued... If the employee did it to the wrong person. Typing on this board was a big enough waste of time for me, courts and lawyers are not my thing.

Perspective- You mention 9-11 'a sad day' and then you start complaining about Jack in the Box messing up your order. Maybe a plane will hit you and somebody else will have a bad day. This person will need a big mac. I shudder just thinking of the mistakes McDonalds would make.

got order completely wrong and wouldn't fix it
Last night my husband, my daughter and I went to Jack in the Box for dinner.We don't eat fast food a lot but on occasion we like to and we usually go to Jack in the Box when we do.We ordered an All-American Burger combo with medium curly fries, a Sourdough Jack combo with onion rings and a chicken strips kids meal with apple bites and milk.The cashier "Nichole" was very polite and got the order right.
Well we receive our order and it's completely wrong!They gave us a chicken strip combo meal with regular fries, an ultimate bacon cheeseburger combo meal with those jalapeno things and a grilled cheese kids meal with fries.I approached the employee that took our order and politely said our order is wrong.She said "Oh yeah it is!I remember what you ordered" and said she would fix it.As she walked away, the manager "Jane" walked up and was like "Just eat it please!We have so many cars in the drive-thru" and then told Nichole not to fix it and to mop the lobby floor.
I told Jane that my order is wrong and you need to fix it or I want my money back.Nichole told Jane she would fix it and Jane continued to be a ### and once again told her to mop the floor.Jane then walked away and I yelled "Hey!Fix my order now!"Jane ignores me and walks to the back of the store.Nichole stops mopping the lobby floor and comes up to me and apologizes and says she'll fix my order while Jane is in back.I asked her if she could please refund my money and she told me that she couldn't without speaking to Jane.I didn't want Jane to come back so I agreed to let her fix my order.
She fixed it and everything was fresh and tasted really good!
I gave Nichole $5.00 and told her she's better than Jack in the Box and she said that she only has to work here three more months and she'll be done with college and already has another job lined up after she graduates.
I can't believe they let people like Jane work at these places, let alone let them be managers!
I contacted corporate and hopefully they will get back to me.I also called the store this morning and spoke to the owner and he wasn't happy with Jane.Hopefully he has some sense and fires her ###!

Let me start with how much I hate this jack in the box the workers are rude the manager doesn't help at all with any complaints I had so I guess it has to come down to me complaining to the company...This jack in the box is across the street from me so it's easy for me to get something quick. I will have no problem going somewhere else now after all the stunts they have pulled on me ive got hair in my food twice, the wrong order about 5 times! especially a wrong order that isn't even what I asked for who would ask for a box full of freaking grease with trash chopped up chicken! so disgusting! Ive given that place too many chances a monkey can do a better job working there. I hope everyone sees how horrible and disgusting this place is I WILL NEVER GO TO THE BOX SPRINGS JACK IN THE BOX AGAIN!

While visiting my local Jack in the Box, the line inside was very long...I was the only white person in line, and when the lady behind me asked for 2 tacos from over my shoulder. I was only there to get a soda, but she said out loud, "I only want 2 tacos". He went and got two tacos for her and just handed them over...no money exchanged. I am standing and waiting my turn, and she got waited on by just shouting out. I guess I was the wrong color...talk about reverse discrimination!

I went to the Jack In The Box in Phoenix, AZ store #143 on the night of Saturday evening [protected] to get something to eat after a long day at work (12 hours) and was serviced by Cindy who was obviously having a bad day. I was rushed into ordering my food but there was nobody in line behind me in the drive-thru as I was doing this. After being hurried into ordering my eat and run dinner, I noticed a sign with a picture of Jack and a chocolate cake with the words, "It's not too late to order one at the window." So I decided that I wanted one and when I got to the window, Cindy says, "Im sorry. We're understaffed and I cannot take your order." I referred her to the picture and she rebuttled again and said that she would NOT take my order. After trying to convince her to do her job properly, I had to then persuade her to give me the condiments needed to enjoy what I had ordered and it was a dragging process. She made me wait for my condiments which was an obvious signal of her rudeness towards me. After I finally got them she then REFUSED TO GIVE ME MY RECEIPT because I mentioned putting in a customer complaint. By the time I got my receipt and condiments that I asked for and waited patiently for, there was a line of cars behind me making it even harder for her to do her job and making other customers wait even longer for their food.
I normally enjoy the food at Jack In The Box but this visit has left such a bad taste in my mouth that I WILL NEVER GO TO ANOTHER JACK IN THE BOX AGAIN. Cindy has succeeded in turning away a good paying customer making it more of a loss to your company than a loss to me.
I have no idea why she couldn't do her job as she's paid to do or at least be nice about it when she doesn't want to do her job. Obviously, she had a problem with completing the simple job task that she was hired to do. I tried to sleep it off and give it time, thinking that I'd feel better in the morning about what I had to go through to get a fast food meal but, I'm so disappointed that I had to put in this customer complaint.
Thank you for considering this complaint and please help Cindy so she could be more productive to your company as for she has made it so Jack In The Box actually loses business after this event rather than continuing to gain it. Have a nice day.

44th Street and Camelback store 134 have the most rude and lazy employees at night. They would rather not be working. The shake and smoothie machine is always broken at night because they want to clean it early so they can leave sooner at close. They used to good but this string of illiterate lazy rude employees points to a long term systemic problem not likely to change. All the ad dollars in the world won't overcome that.
understaffed is an understatement. their franchise only allows 3 or 4 employees to work at a time.
menu items
I went through the drive thru to get 4 milkshakes and 3 meals. I was told that they were no longer serving milkshakes tonight. Please tell me why you have milkshakes on your menu if you are never able to make them? This is not the first time i have gone to one of your locations wanting to order one and have been given excuses as to why they cant make them. The machine is already cleaned out, the machine is broken, they are all out of milkshakes? As a result we didn't place the rest of the order and went to Del Taco instead. If we cant order an item from the menu then take it off. or put a time frame as to when we are aloud to order it.

Usually they close the ice cream machines down about 11pm as with most fast food places.Jack does say that you can have anything on their menu anytime but really you can't have a milkshake.
ultimate cheeseburger combo meal

i was food poisoned after eating at 2 am getting off work on my birthday and got so sick that i couldnt even move in my bed . my whole body was sore and started throwing up and had diarreah for 3 days and broke out in a fever several times throughout! i missed work 3 days and had the worst bday ever! i am currently trying to get the food laboratory tested and also trying to recieve compensation for the pain and sufferring and lost of wages!
If it were true, you wouldnt have gone back after the first time. If it is (which i doubt) shame on you for not only the second, but the third! Stupidity runs rampant in this country...

as we went thru the drive thru tonight the person got our order wrong 3 times, then when we got to the window to pay the lady (Nicole) started yelling at me, an other lady came to the window to hand out the order, as I was looking at the reciept nicole ask if something else was wrong and I said i needed the customer relations # she then said I never yelled at you and closed the window.

I went to Jack in the Box #3934 on Jan.23, 2011 around 3:42. The store was semi clean and service was horrible. I would never ever go back with employees like that. I waited about 10 minutes on the counter waiting so tell my oder. The employee that attended me her name was Daisy and she was in terrible attitude. Everytime i gave her my oder she had a smart remark on anything also she was rude and abnosiouse.. When i told her she had gave me my order wrong she said it was correct and that I never told her what I truely wanted. The rest of the employees were nice enough to give me what I had asked for. I would never ever go back again with those kind of employees...

At approx 1:30pm, on my lunch break today, I decided to go to Jack In The Box Drive Thru at the MaeAnn and McCarran location. I ordered a medium coke, (2) $1.00 chicken sandwiches, (2) hamburger deluxe, and (2) .99 tacos. After getting home to eat my lunch, I realized my order was incorrect. I only received the medium soda, one chicken sandwich, 1 taco, and a jr bacon cheeseburger. I realized at that point, I did not receive a receipt either. I called that location and talked to ‘Stephanie’, she told me they were sorry bout the mess up, and they would refund me and replace my order. I told them I wouldn’t be able to get to them until after my work shift at around 6:15pm later that evening, and she said it would be no problem and she would leave a message for the next crew. When I got there at 6:15pm exactly, the girl that was there told me they had no message and could not do what they had said they would do. I then told her that if it was two big of an issue, I would come back in the morning and deal with it then. She then told me it wouldn’t be a problem, asked what my order had been, then asked me to wait for a minute.
Forty-five minutes later, she finally brought out some food and said she could not refund me; it was too big of an order, (approximately $7.00). I told her again, that if it was too much of a problem before she did this, which I would have come back the next day. She was very combative, and unprofessional in her response. She also refused to give me her name, and if she did I think from her actions, she would not have told me the truth.
So in retrospect, after making two trips of ten miles, and after being promised something, to say the least I was extraordinarily upset. After having to not eat lunch all day long, (mind you I’m hyperglycemic), and spending nearly an hour trying to get food from that location of Jack In The Box, I decided to call the customer service number. I gave the person who answered the call all this information, and he stated that it was unusual to get my meal replaced as well as a refund. After talking to him for 10 minutes, the best he said he could do is mail me a voucher for a free combo meal, which doesn’t even add up to what I originally spent, and said I should go back and deal with the manager, Stephanie, again. Now I will have to way a total of 3 or 4 days to get the food that I already spent money for!
I am sorry to have to write this sort of a letter but I feel this is a very serious problem, I am hoping this letter will make you understand that my faith in your store has been shaken. I work very hard, and don’t feel its right to get a lesser meal with bad service, (and being made to wait nearly a full hour + 3-4 days to get my meal). I would really like my faith in this store to be restored...
Went to Jack In The Box last night ordered a Jumbo Jack with Cheese No Pickles. Time was 7PM 2-7-2011 at VanOwen and Balboa St. in socal. Took order wrong added extra pickles. Would not make new burger refused to give refund.
Tonight decided to goto Jack In The Box two miles North at Balboa and Roscoe Blvd. Ordered new All American Burger. Girl making sandwich her name is Sarah or Sara unsure which. Ordered with no pickles which the receipt said no pickles. Today's date was approximate 5:15PM at 02-08-2011. Got home, meat seemed undercooked and not hot. Burger patties were thin and cheap. Cost of this burger was $3.79 seemed overpriced. Went to bite in and there were the pickles. It seems the employees at both stores on two different evenings who made the food are unable to make burgers the way they are ordered. For tonight's order the receipt number is "Drive Thru #123 and the store number is JIB #307 The manager Maria was courteous and did refund the money, but why the awful experience? Shouldn't you get hot food that is matching the high price in quality the way you order it? Evidently we will not be going to JIB restaurants anytime soon for their poor service.

I work 3rd shift off of Dallas parkway, I visit this location at least once a week. I am lactose intolerant; I ordered 6 regular tacos and 4 without cheese with extra lettuce. When I got back to work all tacos had cheese, this is the third time this has happen in the last 6 weeks, the last 2 times I just gave the food to someone else. This time I took the food back, but did not have a receipt since I was not given one. Let me be clear it is 4 am in the morning, the attendant refused to replace the product since I did not have a receipt. This was the final blow for me. I will not be doing business with that location ever again.

poor product quality
I ordered the big meal deal for my husband and I on my way home from work. I work 50-55 hours a week and my husband is homebound with cancer so we dont get the luxury of enjoying a home cooked meal. I mostly bring home fast food. however, when I got my order home, and proceeded to unpack it onto plates, the tacos looked as if they were pre made and have been sitting around for hours! it was awful! needless to say, we did not eat them as we considered them un edible! shame on that jack in the box for their very poor quality! I will not be returning!

I was just over at Jack n the box in Oakland CA, the one on Heganberger, off the free way... their customer service was awful because they didn't give us full attention and trying to rush us out off their drive thru...the women that was handling out our food was trying to over charge us for butter milk "really!" we only want three for our curly fries because we order two meal...other jack n the box don't charge us ..so why would she do that to us ? we didn't give her a hard time we pay her and ask nicely..and by the way her name is Lillian shes a manager i think! being that she had a gray shirt on...I wonder how she got that position...just a reminder, "if you want great customer treat them fair as they treat you" than every one would be happy because that one way to lose your business..i know the company don't care i rather pay more and get great service..

I wasnt suggesting she get advice lol I was suggesting that she could get the local Home Ec classes to prepare food for her husband lol Sure the complaint was about poor quality fast food but most of us see the bigger picture. Her husband is very ill and fast food junk wont help a body fight such a horrid disease.Quick, easy, cheap meals are rarely nutritious and we could train JB employees all year it still wont effect the quality of the ingredients.
Think about contacting your local High School and/or Community college (if they have a culinary program) and see if the Home Ec and/or Culinary teachers would be willing to set up an extra credit program for students to prepare meals for you and your husband. When I was in High School our Home Ec teacher did this to help a local family who's child was undergoing treatments for a genetic disorder and required them to work a lot and home cooked meals were rare. It may not supply you with home cooked meals 7 days a week but will at least allow you some healthy prepared meals part of the week. There is no harm in asking and teachers are often trying to come up with new ways for students to earn extra credit.

When I first started at Jack in the box i loved it. Once i got in there thou and starting working the manger (Suryon "Han") became more abusive and disrespectful to empolyees yelling and teamleaders in front of team members which i think is wrong. If you asked for one day off, she would give you two weeks off, and snidly say enjoy your vaction. She would never work for her team and always leave earily even if she was needed, she was just rude and hard to work for, and she fired one employee for wondering why she was always yelled and treat poorly by her. Also if she called you in she didnt care what you had going on, she would yell at you saying "you need to be here because I need you here now!" Dont work at the Jack-in-the-box on Navajo.

i work at jack in the box tis is my third time working there. the first time i worked there i loved it but now since im back i am under new management and it is a horrible work enviroment. the store assitant (charn clay) is so disrespectful i am just getting off and i was explaining to her that we had to do a overing and she yelled a cuse me out then got mad at the teamleader and i explained to her don't get mad at him i asked him to do it and she cured at him at told him that he shouldn't listen to regular employees i am tired of her abuse she cause alot of conflicts at work because she starts alot of rumors and enjoys when employyes have conflict cause of her rumors hse is spreading. i am absolutley tired of getting mistreated by her. they will write you up for things that don't even matter and when you try toexplain yourself they don't want to hear your side. also there is a note on our walll that states if you need to call in call in at least an 4 hours ahead of time i called in 7 hrs ahead because i was sick my boss tina g. did not call me all she did ws send me a text messages saying yoour are fired if you don't come in. they sit in the office and talk about everyone and heir personal life instead of worring about the customers. we are always out of products and when we tell them we are out they yell at us like its our fault. and there is a bad problem with cash shortages at work. this jack in the box need to be look at more. i mean what store can't do overings? i work hard i barely call in cause if i di i feel i will get fired it was one time i called in many hour ahead if time and they told me well i better find someone to work for me..i was sick and that was the only time i missed work i am really getting tired of this job but it's al i have right now to support myself.

I know someone who is being verbally abused with racist comments, slander and harassment by manager and it's representatives, and employees both old and new are being advised to participate because the want to get rid of this employee. The employee simply stood up for their rights against harassment by contacting the ethics hotline, and addressed issues of hostility, racist remarks, harassment, and threats of violence.
Jack in the Box in Auburn, california was verbally abusing my under aged daughter. We called the Jack in the box ethics line to report the abuse and they dont even seem to care and will not get back to us with a resolution. Word of mouth will eventually hurt this disgustingly run corporation.

missing items - service-attitude of workers
I went to get dinner with my family and placed an order to go through the drive thru as we were leaving the manager handed us the food we ordered and told us what was in each bag as she handed it to us we proceeded to head home when we reached the house we went through the bags our food was cold and we noticed that three items weren't in the bag that we had ordered . We called jack in the box the manager answered the phone and stated that she realized that we didn't recieve the whole order and that if we came back she would make them fresh for us . When we drove the 5 miles back to the restraunt we went back through the drive thru and the drive thru attendant offered us two items that were missing and when we stated that ; no there was also another piece of our order missing (a large order of chorros ) the manager came toi the window and stated no we didn't order that and when I showed her the reciept she carried an attitude and continued arguing with me and rolled her eyes to another employee . I didn't appreciate the attitude and the piss poor service I had a long day at work and just wanted to have a decent dinner which turned out to be more trouble than it was worth ! our family enjoys going to jack in the box rather than the other restraunts ; and we do quite a bit of business with jack in the box and will continue to do so ; however this is one restraunt that we will never do business with . They are not people friendly and carry attitudes and not to mention our food was cold too and the service was lousy.

In Kerrville tx I have been there more then10 times for Teriyaki bowl and it is always unavailable. I work nights and its my favorite on the menu. I talked to manager and she said if I call 20min before I come they can make rice. Well now they don't answer phone and if they do they say they are sold out of rice. How come I can't get what I want on menu. Plus they are open 24 hours and never can get a shake after midnight. Please help us in Kerrville get what we want on the Menu. I love your food so why can I ever get to order it.

The first ad shows a new employee, his feet tied to a rope, being dunked upside down in a vat of melted cheese. Tag line: "We're just hazing the new employee." followed by a laugh track.
The 2nd ad shows Jack sitting at the kitchen table with his mother, his father opens the door saying, "Patty, call the doctor, it's been over 4 hours." looking down to his genital area. This is being shown at 6:30pm - family time.
Family time aside, it's in such poor taste and has nothing to do with Jack in the Box's menu.
With all the bullying going on, hazing is SO inappropriate and has nothing to do with their menu. When this ad runs, I can't breathe.
I've sent emails complaining of both and nothing changes, no response.
JITB is a big corporation. They might take a while to respond to your petty complaints about their commercials.

I have never written or complained about a commercial in my life, but the recent commercial about the "4 hours" that Jack n The Box has been running is one of the most offensive commercials I have ever seen. (A close second would be their last commercial having a girl asking another girl to kiss) I cannot believe that TV stations are allowing it to air. Jack n The Box needs to stop airing this horrible commercial, think about the little kids that are watching and asking about "what does that mean?", and come up with some other way to advertise food without offending everyone, and being completely classless and tasteless. I am SO offended by this, it makes me sick.

Everytime I Go There The Food Is Nasty, The People Are Rude, And They always tell me their Smoothie machine is down. When earlier that day I went by & got a smoothie. Tonight I got a Spicy chicken biscut sandwhich and it was so overcooked and tough. I couldn't even eat it. Then on top of that my fries were cold and soggy. Why when I waited more than 5mins for my food. I just am never going back again!
Boy, U sure don't have much to do on a Sunday! Answering this only because Compl. Board notified there was a reply-won't waste my time again -was after 6 pm, dark outside, gr.kids in car spend.Fri. night for usual little "Movie Party" - ordered 7 sandwiches, 4 packs brownie bites, 5 orders ( so 10 indiv. tacos) - and NO! - cannot tell if meat was on by "feel" alone as 3 were big Tx. cheeseburgers/3 Jumbo cheese burgers/other was waffle break. sandwich combo- w/ hashbrowns, orange juice - 3 bags total - couldn't poss. know what was in ea. bag to begin with - but did count "by feel" - Place NOT busy at all - they put TWO cheese on the one w/ missing meat! Nothing explains the brown bits of lettuce (not even one had a green piece) & shreds of tomato - I don't expect gourmet food for the price but since when should cust. have to open their sandwiches to see what's in them? Distr. Mgr of store 103. emailed me last night, generously offer. free combos - emailed him back I only wanted CB replaced ! Oh - and as a busy, tired doctor w/ 4 kids & 8 gr.kids, there sure have been times when I've ordered MORE than 16 sandwiches!
Ordered 16 items - who would think to unwrap ea./every one, espec. checking to see if they left the meat off cheeseburgers! Can U imagine peeling back ea. bun w/ hot sticky cheese, etc. ? I actually do count items in bags, tho, once I'm out of the way but sorry, your suggestion is just plain silly!
wow you are really over reacting! its subtle humor and a kid thats even old enough catch it should also be old enough to comprehend the joke. I dont hear you whining about the viagra commercial that jack in the box is mocking. That is advertising if you need more censorship then cancel your cable or satellite subscription. it doesnt get any more censored than that.
