You should be very concerned on who & how your food is being cooked. As a cook for IHOP everybody doesn't have the same work ethic as I . But my main concern is that the food that is being prepared is it safe? In my many of years working in the restaurant business i have never seen anything like this (EVER). IHOP very bad management

I just Quit my job at the Logan Ihop, the way they are allowing that place to be ran is so wrong, the new manager in charge is so rude, and has not got a clue about how to manage or lead a staff, she is so worried about the drama that goes on in her own home, and brings it to work with her, drug dealling, drinking, fighting, and her family and their problems, she is the worst manager i have ever had, the company really needs to check who they are letting be in charge of that place, it is a nightmare, bad choice on there part... She told me not to throw something away that the date was expired, just change the date is she trying to kill someone, Karlene is the worst manager in the restaurant buisness, she calls every server in there dumb, worthless, and says that the cooks are stupid mexicans and need to go back to mexico where they belong. Thank goodness I got out of there it was emberasing to say I woorked for Ihop, people call it the cockroach, the only thing is is doing is destoying the buisness complaining about all the hours she is working and not getting paid enough, who cares about her finances, the employees dont, I will never eat in that place again it is disgusting.

This IHOP is very bad for not only the customers but even worse for the staff. Night management yells at servers in between the front doors of the restaurant. Welcome to IHOP to watch our disgusting display of public humiliation before you are fully in the building. The manager is very short-tempered and downright rude to the staff. Cooks threaten and scream at waitstaff in front of management, yet no action is taken to stop the scene in front of customers. Night management doesn't even know the menu, and very loudly in front of customers has actually asked a member of waitstaff if the never-ending pancake special comes with pancakes. Servers are punished for calling the district manager and the cooperate office when their checks are: 1. Not right for their hours; 2. Not right for tips reported; 3. Not the correct amount. False write-ups are made to fire people they don't like or people managers are threatened by. Management even writes up employees for doing things management tells them to do. For example: management tells servers not to allow people over the age of 12 to order from the kids menu, then when the server doesn't let a 35 year old woman order off the kids menu the server gets wrote up. Management also tells servers not to charge VIPs for or police officers for their drinks, then when the server doesn't charge for those drinks the server then gets wrote up yet again. Management makes up a lie that the server swore and said things that were never said yet again writes the server up and suspends the server. The server then asks to see the tape of this happening and suddenly the manager claims there is no sound on the tape which is another lie. Then the same manger that claims there's no sound on video tape claims that it was heard on video tape that the server told a customer her phone number and was discussing IHOP personal business with a customer. In actuality the server simply said to a personal friend, "hey give me a call I want to talk to you about something later because I can't right now." All the server wanted to discuss was going to the club they work at with a mutual friend of theirs to cheer him up in hard times. In return, the general manager has fired a cook that was there for years and actually told members of waitstaff it was because that cook knew more then he did. After working in different IHOPs in the state of Oklahoma for over 5 years as not only a server, shift leader, crew chief, manager on duty, and a manager for many years my employment has come to an end due to a managers lies. Time and again is has come up that this manager feels threatened because either I or someone else knew how to do our jobs as well as management's jobs.
I am not writing this as any form of attempt to "save" myself or even my job, but rather to warn people of what is truthfully going on in this store. Maybe this might stop a few people who don't deserve this fate which I have been talking about in this complaint. I would gladly have even included my name for all those who I have either served or worked with who know that I "do not" lie, as well as for all of those IHOP supervisors that are fully aware of my work ethics. However, I am unable to give out this information due to fear of legal actions for "disclosing company policy." If they are suing "The International House of Prayer" which is a church, why wouldn't they sue me?

Lying about a place any where you have worked shows how incredibly immature you really are and the fact you have to put names and personal anything in a comment that is supposed to be about the restaurant goes to show how unprofessional you must be, I have been in there lately and though not perfect defiantly improving, not sure anyone new at a job is perfect, but much more pleasant then managers I have seen in there in the past!

IHOP bad managment

I wish to mot be known, I still work at the Logan Ihop I want to keep my job, but I over heard the new manager and two of the servers commenting on how they got the General Manager fired... they were very excited about hurting her reputation, and making her look really bad to the area directer, he didn't want to hear the good things about the manager just the bad, she was black balled. I am now looking for another job, but wanted to say that there is something wrong with the way things work in this restaurant. The new manager is evil, cold hearted and knew just what she was doing to make the general manager look bad, go behind her back and talk to all of us, and at the same time no do her own job... she is evil and calculated

I was recently at the IHOP in wausau, WI and the manager "Elsa" was arguing with her seemed to be boyfriend of not coming home. I dont know what kinda buisness you all run but how would it ever be ok for a manager to be dating a cook. Seems to me that would cause a little bit of problems (which i have seen with my own eyes). I called the store trying to get some info so i could talk to someone above the store manager. As I was calling for info I found out that the sister was the managers boss? WHAT KIND OF BUSINESS WOULD ALLOW THEIR REGIONAL MANAGER TO HIRE FAMILY AS A MANAGER? Conflict of interest? Cause when you call the regional manager about the problem nothing seems to get done! I think it is so rude to go into a restuarant to eat with your family and have to hear the employees arguing! Then when trying to get something done, you get pushed away like its no thing! I had to look on the internet and found a number out of this state to a diff IHOP which the manager then helped me find this.. Thank You!

I took my family to breakfast Sunday the 14the, our server had forgot to put in our order, I heard her tell thee manager, asked to get her food it took 1 hour and 20 minutes to get our food, not a sorry, or did thee manager visit out table, Linda was our server, and she acted as if she did not even care theat we waited so long. I and my family will not be going back to theat restaurant...

What a clown fest we had breakfast there the other day, do they get there servers at not hirerable.com worst service in town. And the food sucks. I would rather eat at the local food bank if we had one!

IHOP horrible work envoriment

I'm a employee at Ihop in Bloomfield ct and I've been working there for almost six years the manager and owner of the store have absolutley no idea how to operate the store as a restaraunt we are always out of everything from food products codements not to mention that as employees we get treated like crap we get called peaces of trash theives also over worked and underpaid and this needs to stop the waitresses get desrespected by management the habits of this manager named Nazir Cheema takes food from the outside of the restaraunt and tries to make us re sell it to costumets inside I've him tell cooks to wash food that fell on the ground and reuse it we need help fast.

Lesson for today: If you get food poisoning, make sure to get someone to take you back to the restaurant you get it from and get sick there. Because there is no way to test for food poisoning and there isn't a mass outbreak of sickness, you won't get anything! I am adding IHOP to the list of places I will never eat again. IHOP ripping off americans

Why in these hard times and especially times when corporations/businesses are making great profits do they continue to give the consumer less and increase pricing.

I was at a IHOP on spring street in san diego and ordered a nine dollar breakast and a small mlk.
When the super small milk came I asked how much for a small and large milk!
A small milk is $2.40 and a large is $3.00!
What is the cost per gallon of milk for this corporation/businesss?
What does the average person eating breakfast in IHOP pay for a gallon of milk?
I know that I pay an average of $3.00/gallon and corporation/business which buys milk in large bulk containers has to pay alot less than $3.00/gallon!
I refused my milk and lost my appetite after relizing what a fool I had become to spend my money like this!
There are sixteen cups in one gallon, do the math(16X$2.40=$38.40)
You could buy almost thirteen gallons @ $3.00/gallon!

STOP PATRONIZING GREEDY AMERICAN BUSINESS THAT DONT TREAT LIKE AMERICANS SHOULD TREAT EACH OTHER!

I agree it is a little pricey but that is the joys of having a restaurant you can charge whatever you want, not much you can do about it but not order it

IHOP poor management

I know it was Christmas and virtually everyone else was closed. That isn't my complaint, there was only 3 waitresses on staff and a Manager way over her head. She complained about each customer coming through the door, yelled at the waitresses for not doing their side work(with a room full of customers she wanted them to fill salt shakers, wipe counters, clean coffee pots...) All the while we're all waiting for our orders to be taken and delivered. Many tables got up and left, the manager actually thanked them. I have worked the past 30+ years in the restaurant field and was appaled that she never lifted a finger once to help anywhere. Complained that people were coming in and complained to us as we were leaving that she was low on quarters and dimes. I payed with a credit card, I didn't need any change and didn't need to hear that she was low. She belittled the waitresses in front of customers and made my eating expreience a poor time out. My LAST visit to IHOP. By the way our waitress was FANTASTIC and was working her butt off. Tipped well by us...

IHOP slow uncaring manager

The manager was asked to change a $100.00 bill and took fifteen (15) minutes to get the money to the server. When asking the manager why it took 15 minutes SHE said she was busy with other matters. She acted uncaring and as though she was making a statement that a customer should not pay their bill with a $100.00 bill. She took her sweet time getting me the change. This place is poorly run by...poor manager.

IHOP veterans day

I am a disabled american veteran. I decided on nov 11th (veterans day) to call ihop to see if they had a veterans special. denny's does so I figured ihop would. when I called, the woman who answered hung up on me. then I called back and the manager answered then he hung up on me. no one answered my question, to which i'm sure the hanging up was the answer.

Ihop in Tacoma, WA is not doing any kind of veterans discount. I definitely will not be going back to Ihop again...

Ihop in Austin, TX does not given Veteran Free Meals, they do offer a small discount but not free like most other restraunts. Very dissapointed with IHOP. Will go to competitors next time.

IHOP deceptive practices

My friend and I arrived 9:50 PM and were given a menu by the employee doing the seating:
1. Ordered Breakfast Sampler with menu price of $7.99
2. Upon receiving bill, Breakfast Sampler was $8.99
3. Explained to waitress that menu showed price of $7.99
4. She brought two menus, one showed $7.99 and the other $8.99
5. She said the computer changes price at 10:00 PM and said I would have to pay the higher price
6. I politely requested she get it changed, and she went away
7. She returned without adjusting the price, so I just paid and left
8. Menu did not state prices were good only to 10:00 PM or that prices would be greater after 10:00 PM
9. This is certainly a deceptive practice. HOW MANY CUSTOMERS DOES IHOP RIP OFF IN THIS MANNER?
10. I WILL NOT PATRONIZE IHOP IN THE FUTURE

IHOP attitude problem

At about 1045 today, 7 July 2011, my wife and I entered this IHOP restaurant. We had driven 30 miles just to have breakfast at IHOP. Well we entered the restaurant and waited for the hostess as the sign said.

We waited quite a few minutes to be approached by anyone, then a waitress and the manager came out of the back of the rest. It was obvious there was some tension between them, the waitress decided to seat us, but only after complaining about rotating tables with another waitress. She took us to a booth as we requested and asked what we wanted to drink, we told her coffee and she said “ok, I will be right back”.

Well 15 or 20 minutes later still no coffee and this waitress was seen entering tickets in the computer. Obviously this is more important than customers. There was another young waitress walking about doing nothing. I asked her to remind our original waitress that we hadn’t got our coffee as yet. Her reply was “oh she is entering tickets into the computer, she will be with you as soon as she is done”.

She never offered to get us our coffee or take our order to help the other one out, she just flounced off as if she was too good to wait on us. She didn’t bother to tell our waitress about our coffee just walked away.

Well, I am not a patient man so I said well with the attitude in here today, we aren’t going to get waited on and the food will be lousy anyway. We left and ate at the waffle house which we never wanted to do cause they are nearly as bad as this IHOP.

There was an attitude problem there, the manager didn’t care what was going on with the customers. Your llagrange business needs help.

By the way, in case they try to tell you they were busy, no they were not, there were only 4 tables including us in the whole place. We wont be patronizing that place again. Its too bad too and we always have enjoyed IHOP.

I should have known something was wrong when I was the only diner, while the Panda Express next door was half full at 4:30 on a Friday, but I wanted a cushy booth seat. IHOP rude and abusive teatment

Gentlemen: Ineed to place a serious copmplaint against the Barceloneta, Puerto Rico IHOP Restaurant manager because of abusive and rude treatment received on july 26, 2011. My family and me had to wait almost 3 hours before been attended. the food had a very bad appearance, almost uncooked, different food from the original orderd. the manager never came to our table to listen to our complaints and never apologize, not improved service. Orders needed to be repeated because no satisfied specifications ordered. There were few customers in store. I consider the manager need to be better trained in order that dealing with customers get improved as well as customer satisfaction. IHOP manager/shorthanded

I eat at IHOP all the time at the South Dale Mabry Location. Well tonight there was issues. There were 3 servers. 2 Females and 1 male. We received the male server. We were not told anything about a wait time or other problems. We ordered our dinner and then waited. As we waited I watched our waiter run back and forth from the dining area to the kitchen to help cook and serve the customers. There was a large party of 3 adults and quite a few children in the back. The Mother of those children came up to the waitress and asked for all the food for her children...she was very upset because the service was extremely slow and only some of her kids received food. Since my son and I were sitting next to where the food is prepared I watched as most of the food was getting microwaved because it was not coming out at the same time. She told the lady who was trying to cook that the parents and children were getting upset. The Mother of the kids came up again and asked to speak to the manager. She was told he was running late and was supposed to be there a half hour ago. The Mother walked away again. Meanwhile we are still waiting for our food. When our food came (i had 2 eggs over med. potatoes, bacon, and white toast.) My son had funnel cake. My eggs were hard and cold, my toast was burnt, and my sons funnel cake was half cooked on one side and burnt on the other. I also got my toast 5 min after i got the rest of my food. 45 min late the manager shows up and goes into the kitchen and starts to cook. The waitress for the lady and kids told him that they did not want to pay for the food. The manager asked why and how much the food was and he said he would call 911 that she needed to offer them a discount. Meanwhile the couple behind me received their food and it was wrong. The soup was cold the gentleman's burger was wrong and he demanded a refund for his food. The manager not only ignored the waitress and waiters comments but acted like he had done nothing wrong. The poor servers were getting treated like crap because that guy did not properly schedule employees or should have shown up sooner if he knew they were shorthanded. Our waiter/cook/whatever else gave us a huge discount but I was very disappointed in our dinner and I would have really reamed that managers ### if they were not so busy. I did not want to be the cause of someone else's food being late or cold.
