Home Depot 078477466933

I purchased 3, light switches that I have install many times. I replace it and still had the same problem, the I assumed that it was bad and installed another, still had the same problem. I thought I had a bigger problem I called an electrican only to find out that all 3 of the switches you sold me were bad. he installed his switch and it worked, then charged me $80.00 for doing what I could had done if the products you sold were any good. I will pay off my charge card and will not be using it ever again.

Desired outcome: let you know you need to screen the products you sell and not screw customers.

Home Depot Washing machine during covid

Governor Wolf
Since this ‘new normal' began I suspected that it was a lot of hype. Particularly, since every business and everyone dances to their own drummer. Some stores allow returns, some won't. Some stores will allow you to use their restrooms, some not (most without toilet liners, paper towels, and no disinfectant). Some people wear masks, some don't; even though it's the law (if anything, a new industry was created that you must be happy about… boosting the economy). And everything, I mean everything, is blamed on Covid.
The hypocrisy of stores announcing over intercoms stating "we care for our employees and customers. you must wear a mask to enter, wash your hands often, cough in your elbow…" (which sounds incredibly nasty, since a tissue would be far more sensible).
Our elected officials go on TV and babble about what they are doing to ‘fight" the spread of Covid, but what exactly are they doing?
Well, February 2021 sealed my suspicions about the irony of Covid. We must wash our hands often. Ok. We must sneeze in our elbows (not so okay) but Ok. We have to wear a mask (keep the economy strong!) Ok. What about washing your clothing?
Now, let us speak about new appliances and yes, they are in short supply because (drum roll please) covid! But what about washing machines…that clean the germs of the day off your clothing? I was washing my clothing each day when I got home long before covid. Shouldn't a washing machine that is in stock, at the warehouse, be a priority during a covid pandemic? Oh, no.
This happened to me. First I was told it would take 5 days to deliver my washing machine. I tried to arrange an earlier date and discovered that delivery had been pushed up to another week. Naturally I complained and delightedly received a call from lg telling me I would receive my washing machine in the original 5 days. Lg told me this, but it never reached home depot. Home depot would not hire a different delivery company to deliver a washing machine that was ready to be picked up during a covid pandemic! They also refused to allow me to arrange delivery on my own. For 2 weeks I could not wash my clothing…again…during a pandemic!
And, during all this time you would think the government would address this matter? Or, even care?
I called the Health Department and left a message because there is no one picking up phones there. Surprise! I never received a call back! I called the CDC and the woman whom I spoke with simply did not want to help. Why should that CDC get involved in a matter of public health? I wrote to the delivery company and no answer. I told Home Depot that they were hypocrites. They are the company who claims to be so caring about the health of their employees and customers and because they mandate that everyone visiting their store must wear a mask…but they won't allow you to clean your clothing.
Delivery of a washing machine should be an essential item and should take priority on delivery everywhere!
Trust me, the cdc doesn't care. The government doesn't care. The health doesn't care.
And home depot doesn't care. They only care about the health of their bank accounts.

Desired outcome: NO ONE SHOULD GO WITHOUT A WASHING MACHINE FOR 2 WEEKS WHEN IN STOCK

Home Depot Applying for basic credit card

I tried to apply online for the basic credit card from home depot. I filled in all the information and submitted it. I got a reply back saying the was a problem with my information and to call a number that was given. I called the number and spoke to a lady that informed me that their system was down and they couldn't update me at this time. They would contact me when the system came up.
I waited 2 days with no reply so I tried to re-apply for the card. I got the same information after submitting my information to call the number that was given to me. I called the number and was told that two applications had been filed. Then I got the same reply about you need to call back on another number and verify your information. This was right after I received two letters stating that they could not approve my application. The lady on the phone told me that a letter will be sent to me with information needed and I should call them back with the information. I am very concerned about your practice of using my social security number so freely and all my information. I must have given my SS number 10 times and even entered it on my phone. According to all this hassle you are putting me through the lady said it was for security issues. This is all BS and you are creating a security risk by the way your asking people to freely give out their information online and over the phone. I need to wait 3 to 7 days for this letter to arrive with the information they want me to call back in. I have read your reviews and now I wish that I never applied for your card. A rating of 3.5 is not good at all. I have excellent credit and have always paid my bills on time. I am very concerned about all my information being tossed all over the place. I will wait for the letter and see what BS they are asking for this time. For your information, My wife and I are always getting pre-approved loans of $10, 000.00 from Citi bank. Now you stating I can't get approved for a simple charge card. I hope I DO NOT SEE a credit hit on my credit score. There will be legal action taken to resolve your poor ratings and ruining peoples credit. I would cancel this application but there most likely would be a credit hit applied to my score. I hope home depot wakes up and starts providing better customer care.

Home Depot Delivery

I bought a kitchen Appliance Package from Home Depot. When the refrigerator was delivered, we discovered it was too big for the space. We bought another at Home Depot and arranged to have the first one picked up and returned to Home Depot.
Home Depot sent out a man with a truck who dragged the fridge across our new floors by its handles, damaging them. He got it to the front door, my husband asked if he has no one to help, he said no. My husband asked if he has a dolly and he said it's on the truck. he asked if my husband was not satisfied with him taking it, my husband answered no. We reported it to Home Depot, told them one man could not manoeuvre this big refrigerator on his own.
Home Depot took another two weeks to arrange for a pick up and sent the same man, on his own. I was on my own as my husband had a business meeting.
The man dragged the fridge through our front door, turning it sideways, with the other door banging on the inside of the frame. He lifted it by one door on the outside, zig-zagged it back and forth and over the step and on to the outside. A piece also fell off the bottom of the fridge. He put it on a dolly he had brought.
I told him a piece had fallen off and asked if he had any paperwork for me to sign - as the truck was a plain white truck, he had shown no identification, and I had no proof.
He mumbled something about a paper and wheeled the fridge off to this truck. I waited for him to come back and pick up the piece of the fridge, and to sign something, when I saw the truck driving up the road.
I called Home Depot eventually, Chris (who had arranged the pick up) told me the fridge had arrived and it was fine.
My husband and I went in shortly afterwards and filled in Insurance papers for our front door and frame that was damaged.
We submitted our claim with two quotes and photographs showing the damaged front door, as well as pictures I took while our door was being damaged during pickup.
Estes called to settle with us, and sent us a form which we signed and accepted - they said a check would be in the mail.
No check ever arrived so two weeks later we called and they told us they had realized from pictures the guy was not a Home Depot employee and said it was in the wrong department.
Since then we have dealt with different people at Home Depot, Estes, Sedgwick, and now T Force Logistics.
We have been without a front door for more than two months of the home where the delivery was made. It was renovated to be an Airbnb - due to no front door, we have lost two months income.
We still have had no resolution and no one is bothered, it is our problem only.
Home Depot should never had sent the same person back to our home on his own, after we sent him away for the very reason that it was obvious he could not do the pickup on his own.
I expect Home Depot to step up and take some responsibility and do something to immediately resolve this issue without further delay.

Desired outcome: Home Depot Management to look at this Complaint and resolve it URGENTLY

Home Depot Powersmart snow blower db7124 no key, no skid shoes, huge dent hidden with plastic wrap

My wife picked up the machine. The workers rolled it onto her trailer. We thought we had everything. Two winters later, it finally snowed. Then we discovered that there was no key! The skid shoes were missing. And to add insult to injury, they covered a huge dent with blue plastic wrap which we didn't see until we unwrapped it the first snow two years later. We are in our mid sixties and had to shovel 9" of snow with a $562.00 snow blower sitting in our garage.

Desired outcome: We would like a percentage of the cost to be added back to our Home Depot account for the parts we are going to have replace.

Home Depot Rental equipment

On Feb 12, 2021, I called the Home Depot (8010 Giacosa Pl, Memphis, TN 38133) needing pricing on a stump grinder rental. I called around 4:15-4:20 pm and had to be transferred to the tool rental department about 3-4 times before anyone would answer. A man finally answered and I inquired about the rental. He advised it would cost $299/hour. Because I am familiar with renting from you, I know the rental increments are in 4 hour and days not by the hour, I said you usually have 4 hour or day rental fees not per the hour. And he said "It depends who its for, for you it would be $299 per hour because you sound like a Trump supporter" and I sat there for a few seconds stunned and he proceeded to say "Yea, don't call back here again" and hung up. I have rented from you several times and have never been treated this way. Political view were the last thing on my mind when calling. I truly needed pricing on your equipment.

Home Depot Refrigerator delivery

WE ordered a refrigerator online to be delivered today 2/10. Firstly, they delivered it basically threw it in the middle of the floor. Said they could not hook it up we even was moving out the old one for them. To make a long story shore the ref and freezer handles are missing. You cannot get a hold of anyone in the delivery department. I called the delivery guy back because I had his number he basically told me that was common I have to contact Home Depot. Also they scratched the front door. After we removed the plastic we seen it it is bad. Don't ever ever ordered appliance's to be delivered from Home Depot. I have been in the apartment business for 30 years I never seen such a poor delivery service (Spirit) is the name of it also the delivery person asked the resident if she had any pain pills he hurt his back. This was a nightmare.

Home Depot Whirlpool refrigerator order cancelled refund not received.

February 2, 2021. I saw a Whirlpool refrigerator that I liked advertised on the Home Depot Oxnard California website on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 and it showed a delivery date of Saturday, January 16, 2021 so I ordered right then and paid for it the following day. Order # WM29417304. On Saturday, the delivery was to be between 7AM to 11AM so I had the old refrigerator cleaned out and ready to go by 6AM on Saturday. At 10:30 that same day the delivery service called and told me the refrigerator was damaged and they told me to call Home Depot to see when the next delivery would be available. I got on the Home Depot chat line and they called Maytag and found that it would be two weeks before the next available delivery so I cancelled the order because I had everything in coolers and couldn't wait that long. Home Depot offered me $50.00 for the inconvenience, but after 11 days I gave up waiting for it. Home Depot told me I would get a full refund of $2217.04 in 7 to 9 working days, but after 10 working days I had received nothing so I got on the Home Depot chat line again, but was informed that Maytag would not be returning my refund for 4 to 6 weeks per their policy even though the refrigerator never left Home Depot and I never received the refrigerator in the first place. In these days of nearly instant transfers of funds, I find it difficult to believe that with a simple stroke of a key, it only took minutes for the cost to be put on my credit card, a day to go from pending to due, and yet it will take 4 to 6 weeks for them to make that same stroke of a key and return the funds to my credit card.

Desired outcome: Return of my funds in a timely manner

Home Depot Customer service - gave completely wrong information

On January 31, 2021 I needed to rent a sewer auger from Home Depot. I picked the Chinook location in Calgary due to its proximity to my residence. I contacted the Chinook location via telephone to see if they had the sewer auger I required - and they did. I then specifically asked the customer rep if Visa Debit would be sufficient for the deposit for the renting the tool. I was told by the customer rep, Mohammed, that Home Depot did indeed accept Visa Debit for the deposit for the rental.
So I proceeded to Home Depot Chinook and picked out the auger I desired...and then went to do the rental agreement where I was asked to produce a credit card for the rent deposit...I passed the sales rep my TD/Canada - and then was told that visa debit was not sufficient for the deposit! When i offered cash for the deposit as a 2nd solution I was told that HD could not take cash either for the deposit!
I am upset that i was told misleading untruthful information by the customer support that caused me me to waste valuable hours on getting my sewer line fixed which manifested into having tenants quite displeased that the the work was not done.
I specifically called HD Customer Service to ask that one question - if Visa deb okay for the deposit - as I did not wish to waste time going to Home Depot to rent if they did not accept VisaDebit - but nonetheless my time was "wasted" . Consequently it will be a long time before I give HD any business.

Desired outcome: Customer Service Getting up to date with Home Depot rental policies and qualfifications/

Home Depot Billed but item not delivered yet

Purchased online and delivery date is 02/24. Received credit card bill and payment is due by 2/21. How and why?!?! Item has not even been delivered yet? Is this legal? Why would they bill if the item is still with them? What if the delivery is delayed? I don't understand why I am expected to pay for something I don't even have yet. When I called customer service I was told that they need me to pay because they need it to order the item from the vendor! What kind of arrangement is that? They won't be able to order the item without the customer's money?!?!

Desired outcome: Move the due date or dont charge until item is actually delivered!

Home Depot Carpet

Opened complaint on 12/3 Started with Cust service.
Purchase approx $3000 for carpet install. Many carpet fibers are Still coming out which is unusual since it was purchased in 2019.
12/3 installer told us to empty vacuum, vacuum, and take pictures of the pile that was vacuumed up and send to him. This was done immediately.
On 12/11 rec'd a message From Dawana? Her contact number is [protected], Ext 85034, saying they had not heard from us so they were going to close case If she did not hear from us so I left 2 messages but Never heard back from her even though I specifically left concerning messages on the extension she gave me.
Very unhappy about being ignored. On 12/12 I emailed and called Local store to complain and A store rep named Sita was now my contact person. Her contact number is [protected], Ext 452. Spoke to Sita 12/15 who Said would file another claim and requested more pictures which we sent. I have not heard from her since.
Last 2 emails I sent were on 1/18 and 1/25.

Reason for opening up claim is because every single time the carpet gets vacuumed a handful of pile comes up. We were told to empty vacuum canister, vacuum then empty again to take picture which we did. Then they asked for a 18x18 piece to send to vendor which we don't have. At first Sita emailed me saying they would need to uninstall piece. On January 11, I was told due to Covid, vendor limiting house inspections and told me once carpet gets installed it becomes a warranty issue with the vendor, not the store but I have not been contacted by vendor. In fact, Sita said she emailed vendor and would let me know what's next. Have not heard from her. I feel I at least deserved a response of some sort.

Desired outcome: Replace product or money back

Home Depot Horrible experience

My horrible experience started when trying to order new appliances. The lady that was trying to help us didnt work in that department and knew absolutely nothing about appliances. We had already picked out the 6 appliances we wanted. She started writing down the numbers needed to order after half way through she realized she was writting down the wrong number for the color we wanted. An hour later she was actually placing the order and come to find out the fridge we wanted was not available. They didnt have anything else in the store we liked so we went home and ordered online. We didnt hear anything else from them so I called 2 days before they were to be delieved to see if they were actually coming. They said they were and would call the following day between 3-7pm to let us know our 4 hour window. They never called. I contacted them and found out that there was a text message thing that could be set up. The guys came to install and they were nice. They were installing my microwave and the cord had a clip that screwed into the top of the cabinet. The must have just pulled that out because now there is a whole in the top of the cabinet. They also installed the washer wrong. They switch the hoses which we didnt find out til after we washed multiple loads of laundry. Come to find out we was everything on hot water which emptied the hot water heater causing rust in the water which stained some of our clothes yellow. Luckly my husband was able to figure this problem out. Then we found out that our dishwasher couldnt be installed that day because you have to have a plumber do that. I purchased all new hoses that said were required and none were used. I went to return them to the Coon Rapids store. The person working there said they couldn't return it for me because I bought them at the Northtown store. Which didnt make any sense to me and he couldn't give me a reason why I had to take them to a different Home Depot store to return them. I got to the other store and 2 hoses were now missing. I called the Coon Rapids store to speak with a manager to see if the hoses were there. She told me she was on another call and could call back...its been 2 hours and still havent heard anything. I never was happy shopping at Home Depot in the past but they had the best sale on appliances. Let me tell you in the end the $700 savings wasn't worth the headaches. I will NEVER shop there again.

Home Depot Refund denied at buckhead #6986 store for items purchased 5 days ago with receipt

Re: Request to return items with receipt purchased on 1/23/2021

Date of Incident: 1/27/2021

Good Day,
Please see my attached receipt for items I purchased on 1/23/2021 for a total of $67.39 before taxes. I attempted to return 4 of the items worth $49.38 (of $67.39) today (1/27/2021) at the Atlanta Buckhead store #6986 and was denied because I was told that $4.75 of the $67.39 was paid with a store credit even though the larger amount was paid via my credit card. I was not told I could not return anything at the time of purchase. Today I was told that my return was denied because I had returned a lot of items without a receipt in the past. As a result I am being denied returning items for which I have a receipt and paid much more via my credit card than the $4.75 store credit. In 2019 and early 2020 I had purchased a lot for my home renovation and returned items I did not use. Unfortunately I did not bother looking for the receipts because 1. Nothing was provided to me that I would have a problem returning Home Depot items without a receipt as I had done in after three previous home renovations; 2. a store credit was fine since I had to purchase more HD stuff; and 3. I was not given any indication at the time of purchase that I would have a problem doing a return especially with my receipt. However, for items that I have the attached receipt that states I can return within 180 days before 7/22/2021, I should not be denied returning them. Please advise who I need to speak with to get this resolved. Thank you for your review and response. I can be reached at [protected]@hotmail.com or [protected].

Thank you,
Constance

Desired outcome: Grant approval to return items with receipt paid via credit card

Home Depot Did not receive a portion of the product.

On January 16, 2021, I placed an Online order (WM29616353)through the Hammond, LA Store. They contacted me to tell me the 2x6x12 (20ea.) and 8x8x16 Cinder Block (8ea.) would have to be delivered from the Covington, LA Store. The delivery from Hammond was delivered on Tuesday, January 19th. The Covington Store showed they delivered on Wednesday, January 20th. They did not. I have not received those item yet. I called the store on Saturday, January 23rd. They said it was odd as they did not have a picture of the delivery. The representative said she would reenter the order for delivery on Monday, January 25th. It was not delivered and after repeated attempts to find out where the delivery is, I have gotten nowhere. The answer I receive after 8 calls, 6 to the Covington store, 1 to the Hammond store, 1 to Home Depot Corporate Helpline, I still have no information. How this is handled at this point will determine if I will ever shop at Home Depot again.

Desired outcome: Desired outcome is that I receive the product that I ordered, or be reimbursed so I can purchase the product elsewhere.

Home Depot Home depot store 4187

I have been shopping at this store for some time now and the service continues to go from bad to worse everyday. I have had multiple bad experiences with this store and have requested multiple times to speak to the manager and have never spoke with the actual manager. I'm not sure what your policy is but if I call the store and request to speak to the manager, everyone says they are the manager. My final bad experience was the kitchen cabinets that I ordered November 7, 2020, and received January 22, 2021. Again made a request for the actual manager to call me and I still have not received a call. I believe her name is [protected]. This person has never called me after leaving multiple messages.

Home Depot Credit services, store condition

We mailed our check on 12-26-20, on 01-11-21 we received a late notice with a $30.00 fee. Bank indicated check had not cleared, lost in mail, many complaints to bank. Called to resolve and was told "pay entire bill" put that amount on bank ATM Debit Card, would not remove fee. Cancelled card and shredded it. We have spent thousands with HD over the last few years, never another dime! Also, of late, aisles are crammed with displays in front of merchandise, employees are too lazy to remove those large stocking ladders blocking access to more merchandise. Done with Home Depot, just got Lowes Privilege card and will shop there

Desired outcome: I made my own outcome by leaving HD forever

Home Depot Customer care

1-19-21 North Frisco store Frisco Texas
Small contractor frustrated with horrible personal treatment including being hung up on by Monica while talking. Called back to speak with manager but hung up on 5 times. This store is terrible and getting worse monthly. Customers should not have to call or contact any third party or continue to try and call a manager repeatedly to conduct respectful business. Employees come and go but the store front and customers living near are constant.
My business like others struggle lately and options for materials is vital. I will not be treated horribly to make a living. My $2500 order as well as future orders will go elsewhere for now.
Respectfully, James Johnson [protected]

Home Depot Rigid core flooring

Had flooring installed in October. The interlocking part of the flooring is breaking in numerous spots causing all of the flooring to separate across the entire room. Have been calling Home Depot and spoke with 1 Store Manager and 2 Assistant Store managers for about 4 weeks now. Each week they tell us that we have to wait for vendor to get back to us. They will not give us anymore contact info or anything. Now we call today and both Managers are on vacation! Meanwhile our floor is still coming apart and causing hazards with our family and pets. This is absurd to wait this long! We've sent the pictures, receipts and everything they've asked us for with zero response! We need this resolved ASAP!

Desired outcome: Either a refund or new flooring

Home Depot Washer/dryer unit delivery

Me and my wife purchased a stackable washer/dryer unit on 12/8. The scheduled delivery was on 12/12. The unit was delivered on 12/12 while I was at work. My wife calls me and says they broke the unit bringing it into the house. They tried to lift from the top lip of the horizontal washer unit and ripped the lid and and all wiring up making the unit unusable. The delivery men told my wife they would have to leave it there and be back Friday 12/14 to replace it with a new unit. She did not know to refuse the unit at that point. After calling both the Home Depot we purchased it from and the delivery company about ten times each, and being told we had to wait for the damage report to be processed, we received a delivery date of 1/5 (not 12/14). On 1/5 at 10:30AM we received a call from the delivery man that our unit was on its way and they would be at our house in 30 minutes. At 3:30PM I called both Home Depot and the delivery company. I finally got a call back around 5:00PM from the delivery company saying the delivery driver took pictures of our driveway and it was unplowed and they were unable to get up it. Blatant lie as I plowed and spent $100 the day before to sand my driveway ensuring they would have no issues. They rescheduled for 1/8. On 1/8 They returned and when the delivery man came inside to check the old unit, he informed me that he could not install the new unit as he had no power chord or hoses for the new unit. So again we rescheduled for delivery today 1/13. I had already taken 2 days off of work to try and be there when it was delivered but could not take today off so my wife received the unit. Yet again the unit arrived with the top of it completely caved in so that the dryer on top would not even be able to spin. I am completely amazed that this is how business is done by this company. I called the delivery company and cancelled my order and hopefully when the manager at the South Merrimack, NH Home Depot returns from his vacation next week and I can speak to someone in charge, I can finally receive a refund and purchase the same unit at Lowes. Fingers are crossed they dont use the same delivery company

Desired outcome: Refund
