Across the board these goodwill locations are charging excessive fees for shipping and handling. I understand that they say it is set by Fedex and not the store. However, with better estimates on size and cutting back on the crazy high handling fees, you would have so many more bids on auctions. In South Florida, for example, they charge $5 for handing fees to ship a shirt. That, added to the shipping price of over $10...the customer is expected to pay over $15.00 to ship a used, unlaundered shirt. Don't they understand that a new shirt can be purchased for that price? why shop Goodwill?
You are a charity, and these items were donated to you. Why not lower these S&H prices and put that money to doing the charity work you were designed to do? This looks like a scam!

I would like to add to what you are pointing out; I placed an order for an item that weighed 3lbs. It was coming from Washington DC, VA to Texas (San Antonio area). This would normally cost between $14 to $16 to ship. They charged me $41.51 and told me that it is what they are being billed from FedEx. This just happened this week. In addition to that this week I purchased a lot of 6 purses and 2 wallets for over $200 coming out of Western Missouri/Eastern Kansas. The posting clearly indicated what it was as well as the pictures (as best as you can see), over 18 people bid on it, and I won. Apon receiving the package, 3 of the purses and the 2 wallets were fake. With that delivery came a sheet signed by the individual who packed it and then signed off on by 3 different Supervisors. I have sent an email asking for resolution and that I was sending the fakes back to them which will be at my expense, but I am doubtful they will do anything with the way things have been going and all the complaints I am seeing here. SAD! I have shopped with them online for years now and all of sudden things are not looking good. All I can say is I'm speechless and disappointed and not eating for the next 2 weeks hardly because that money will be a loss. I am a new start up business. Can't take this hit. I may go to my bank tomorrow and see if they can intervene somehow for me, but I doubt it. I still have another order I paid for on the 13th (two weeks ago) coming from California. It has yet to leave their facility, and I have emailed twice with no response. I am at a loss with them, nowhere to turn.
