Gold's Gym Membership

I said I did NOT want auto-renewal on my membership. I also asked front desk staff 3 times when my membership needed to be renewed, & all they would say is "You have plenty of time, enjoy your workout." Gold's auto-renewed my annual membership a couple days ago anyway. It's a gym membership, not a heart transplant, they can change it to a monthly membership like I asked. I further explained to one of the managers at a Gold's location that I may need to move to another city, & that is the reason I need to switch to monthly until I find out which city I will be living in. Additionally, the link sent to me to cancel auto-renewal does not work; all it says is 'Oops! An unexpected error has occurred." Very disappointed in how Gold's does business.

Gold's Gym rude staff

Dears,
Hope this mail finds you well.
Sending this complaint as we were really shocked by the very strange attitude from one of the biggest gyms worldwide, having a very bad impact on us and leaving us with the impression that we want to spread this everywhere in every place on social media and your websites as to let people know and aware them how this gym is overrated.

Last Thursday (13-2-2020) I went to the gym with my wife, first time to visit this branch:
9 Mashaal Street, Haram, Giza, 125556 Giza-Egypt
We had our training as we always do, then I had an emergency call as I am working as a doctor and needed to go to the hospital, went to my car, someone was blocking it with his car, went back to the gym, asked the reception for the owner of the car, they sent someone to picture the plate and ask in the gym, they were really delayed so I went up to check and found the owner of the car still having his training and asking me to wait, I was very stressed as the emergency was calling me, told him to come directly and move, he told me to wait till he finish this, regardless to this stupid attitude as this is not your responsibility, I had to raise my voice asking him to move, now came the part that concerns your staff, one of the very rude coaches or staff came and held my hand and told me why are you raising your voice go out and he started shouting to me and holding my hands and he was going to hit me, getting the other staff (even when he knew I am a member not a stranger coming from the street), was really shocked asked for the manager who came, took me and apologized.
Instead of making sure to give all your customers their rights and caring for them, he cared for one more than the other, instead of dealing with your customers correctly and taking extra miles, he didn't care to let the other customer go out and move his car, he left him for a long time and didn't ask him to go. I am really depressed, had troubles in my work and will really spread this in everywhere and all social medias and was going to call the police but had no time, moreover my wife works in the parliament and going to do a complaint there as no actions are done from your side as we already did a complaint in Egypt here, and sure no one will respond or care.
Looking forward for a call or reply trying to feel how Gold gym care for their customers and show them respect.

I am not lying, I wrote the main one and i didnt say it is not me, but some comments were not by me like the one about grandfather and others, it is still not your business, you are a very rude one, wont reply again on you or waste time with someone who seeks attention. Comment as you want, for me will leave you to write and cry here alone and wont open or reply this, I deactivated this website and enjoy reading this and feeling that no more attention will be given to you. Enjoy other places, and by the way I never lied, all this happened and my father is a doctor and I was complaining for him, so wont lie for nothing, dont have similar crazy and mentally ill attitude and mind like the one you have, good luck and sorry wont be able to read or open this again

Gold's Gym inquiring about collections information

I contacted my local Gold's Gym for the collections information that is needed to proceed with cancelling my account. I spoke with a receptionist by the name of Kaley and asked only for the phone number for the collections agency. She proceeded to state she did not know. I asked if she could please find out for me. She put me on hold and spoke with what I presume to be her manager. She got back on the phone and finally provided 1-800 number. When I asked what the agency's name was she stated again that she did not know and I asked if she could find out. She stated the only person who would know would be her manager. I asked if I could speak with her/him and Kaley proceeded to state that she was unavailable with a rude attitude. I asked her for the district number so that I may file a complaint.. She then proceeded state Gold's Gym does not have one and hung up the phone. I called back and got her name and her manager's name which is Charity. I don't believe customers should be treated this way and I will be following up on this complaint.

Gold's Gym involvement of staff in theft

Yesterday on 16th January between 8:00 pm to 9:00Pm someone stolen my cell phone inside from the gold gym, country hills, Calgary.And when I asked a manager to access the camera's so she opened all the cameras except one where I can easily track the person who stolen my cell phone. So request you to please look into this because whoever stolen my cell phone they know very well which camera is working and which not.

Gold's Gym customer service

Thousand Oaks, CA, Golds Gym has communication problems with costumers.
I would like to report Nicole Gooch for disrespectfully talking to me on the phone, and making accusations, didn't wanted to listen what I had to say, interrupted me, I asked to speak with her supervisor she said to me that she is very generous to me offering this deal $, but her supervisor will not be nice to me as she is, so I have no choice to pay money $, which I don't have for three months and more.
She was trying to get agreement with me about this amount money $, but oh there is more payments I have to make more money $, which it feels like a scam and not real.
Nicole Gooch has poor quality of communicating with people, she was very rude on the phone, she was threatened me with collection agency.

Gold's Gym overall service

Dec. 30 2019,

Incident: There is just no one you can trust out there in golds gym. They Bluntly lie to you and had the nerve to say after the matter that I had to read the entire document that they didn't even give to me. All they said was sign here this will allow you to have 30 days to cancel with no penalty. Since you're not sure how long you will be here. If you stay good it will just continue. I said that sounds great I will know by then. Wells turns out no solution was found at work and Im stuck 90 days in the basically no pay position before they can transfer me. So I communicated with golds gym the its best I cancel. since I found out more about it. Now all of the sudden they said they have to charge me a $100 cancelation fee. I decently don't have it. and if I knew about it I would not have signed up. they are purposely omitting information to get you sign up and then charge you later or in a hidden way. The representative and the manager that approved it didn't even show their faces. They had someone else that didn't even know about it yell at me. and on top of that I was running a high fever from being in the cold for so long. I was there with the night staff again to confirm that it is closed. They cared for me and gave me pain medicine and waited with me until my shuttle stopped by. They said no further charges or something to the affect. I could not even think straight with fever. I get sick often during the cold times. I would really like to have someone I can trust that would not use their staff like that. It's not only about the numbers or they should give their clients trust like I did. Now I don't trust them and neither will my entire family. or immediate co workers. After 90 days Im not going back with them either even if they were the last gym on earth, unless they fix it. Also bought clothes from there and energy drinks. That's out too.

Gold's Gym sauna

On Friday December 27th I attended the gym for a typical workout around 9:00 am. I always begin my workout with a visit to the sauna. My guest and I entered the sauna and started our sit. After about 7 minutes, I stood to exit and when I stepped down onto the step below me, the board collapsed and I fell. Fortunately, I was able to catch myself before falling into the heat source in the room, which is very poorly guarded by the wooden railing that I was able to grab before scarring myself with inevitably severe burns.
I was able to get my leg out and see that I didn't suffer much damage; it just really frightened me! We immediately took a picture of the incident and headed to the front desk. When we told them what had happened, we were met with no concern. Ian Wilds, who appeared to be the manager on duty, mentioned lazily that they had some sanding done yesterday and that the contract team had left some dust as well, so essentially, he wasn't surprised that there had been a weak board. He never asked if I was injured, or offered to do an incident report. He never even asked if I needed first aid! Splinters are almost expected when wood is broken, but no one ever inquired. The only person who really cared about my incident was a friendly gentleman that is a part of the facilities crew at the Ellisville location.
Today I can confirm that I suffered a small abrasion and also some bruising from the incident that was completely ignored by the golds gym staff. No one has called me to follow up and see if I am ok, and calls to Gold's corporate headquarters have also proved ineffective thus far.

Gold's Gym the manager lies to protect her staff and calls a customer a liar

This is aboutMaria Weider Manager of Golds Gym on Fairview Road, Asheville NC .
When my daughter signed up for golds gym was told by the representative that there where no other fees except monthly charge and all other fees would be waved . He never showed her any paper work or flip cards just had her sign the signature pad. she just received an annual fee for 49.00. we went to golds gym to ask about it and was told by three employees that the person that signed her up was fired for doing the same thing with other people. We came back the next day to talk with the manager Maria Weider and was told that he wasn't fired and she backs him and basically that we where lieing about what had happened even though we had three wittnesses. I will let everyone I know my experiance with Maria and Golds Gym, My effords will be minamal but will add up to hundreds of dollars compared to the $49.00 she robbed my daughter of.

Gold's Gym they did not give me a guest pass and let me in

I went to this location 1180 Thorpe Ln, San Marcos, TX 78666 gold's gym club to try the club as I am deciding to move to Texas from California, I filled a form to try a gym they told me that I have to pay 16$ and they don't have a free trial. I even talked to the manager and I got the same response. Ho ever I went online to their website and easily I got the free 3 day pass. Also I bought a shirt on the store and the front desk lady just handed the shirt no received and no bag. I had to ask her for that even then she gave me a bag and no receipt. That made me think it's because I have an accent and a bit overweight they did treat me that poorly I am very disappointed. Anybody should have a chance to start their fitness journey :(

Gold's Gym hot tub

Hot tub and pool was cleaned roughly 2 months ago. Since then the hot tub looks worse than it did before it was cleaned. There's algae growing on the surface of a hot tub. Also someone had a bright idea of painting stainless steel handrail's . The paint came off at water line and now there is a scammer ring around the hand rails. I Address this issue with management to no avail. Gross !

Gold's Gym bad and horrific business partner

Hello;

I would Like to post a huge complaint to one of the owners in Gold's gym amman - Jordan 🇯🇴.

I was in a class, playing the grit plyo, and I closed the door of the class, the owner came to me shouting at me infront of everyone : don't you ever close the door with such a attitude I have not ever seen in my whole life, I replied : please talk to me in a polite manner, I did not do anything wrong .

He immediately said to one of supervisors : terminate his account and blacklist him, I was shocked .

I said I did not do anything wrong and when there is a list printed that shows to all members what's allowed what's not then we can have a talk plus there is not anything listed that states that what you are talking about deserves this termination .

He replied : I don't give a [censored], and don't ever raise your voice .

I said am not raising my voice at all, am talking with reason and logic .

He said come with me now, every supervisor told me please calm down, this owner is already got so many reports and bad feedback, we DONT want problems sir .

I went down : he terminated my account and everyone even the disk front liners were shocked because I did not do anything wrong.

He said to me : if you are raising your voice, I will behave more bad to you more than you and will cause you problems .everyone was shocked and horrified of the owner attitude .

He replied to me : now come with me to take money and I don't want to see your face in the gym .

I replied : sir, am a respectable member, I will not go with you anywhere, if you want to give me my money, I will wait at the reception, second, a list should be posted what's allowed and what's not allowed then you can talk with me, but terminating my account for no absolute logical reason is not your right to do .

I would like to state :

1_ dealing with members of one of the greatest gym in the world in such repulsive attitude I think it's not acceptable according to your standards

2- how can a great institute gives its name to such owner who deals with his members in such way which by way, he already has so many complaints and reports

3- is this the way how gold's gym treats it's members !

4- how can such owner reflects such a bad image to one of the greatest gyms in the world .

5-please note that the damage is growing and many people are leaving the gym because of this owner,

6- how can an owner terminate any customer he wishes to fire with no reason just because he feels like it .

7- I feel so humiliated now, and note that this owner is forbidden to enter the gym, how you guys allow such mentality to one of your Institution and branches in Jordan, this is really damaging Gold's gym in Amman and it's growing more and more .

8-they forced me to sign the termination letter and they forced me to give me my money and kick me out of the gym .

9- I have been at the gym since April, and not a single complaint was against me . What did I do to deserve such treatment from your worldwide gym .

10- I have so many friends in gold's gym, they will put a report to this and soon they are all will leave the gym because of such attitude

12- I think of of your goals is that you change people's lives, is this how gold's gym international changes people's lives ! Is this how you treat humans ! Is this how you treat members, this gym has changed my life positively until today .

11- all the coaches are feeling resentment because of this owner

13- they did not give me the chance even to think, or to contact my lawyer .

I will sue, because this I don't deserve.

14- is this behaviour is one of your standards ! Is this how you treat people ! I don't think so, why you are allowing this in one of your branch in amman-Jordan

15- is not this against the worldwide policy of Gold's gym . Can you explain what happened from one the who bought the name or let's say stole and damaged the name and reputation of gold's gym

16- the investor or the owner already fired the coach as well and he gave her a warning and canceled all her classes and said infront of everyone that the GX classes are a [censored]s house and gangs

17- why such investor can make such damage to gold‘s gym image

18- Gold's gym Jordan violated the process by letting an investor or owner to have such control to terminate any member for no reason . Is not that a violation of gold's international !

19- this partner is treating members like sheep's, in a very disrespectful way, he fires them for no reason if they stand against him because of his disrespectful, humiliating way, he already got so many bad reports and I think he is forbidden to enter the gym but they allow him to enter because he made so many problems ! What the hell is this process, he already shouted that the GX classes are a [censored] house and full of gangs .

20 - everyone now will submit a petition against this partner, this is growing all over Jordan . Gold Gym Jordan is becoming one of the worst gyms in Amman .

First of all I would like to thank you for your response to the below complaint .

Second of all, I would like to state that gold’s gym responded positively to the complaint And they welcomed me be back to the gym, They stated that there was misunderstanding from their side, And I would like to state the following :

1-the investor of gold’s gym-Jordan ( Mr.Adnan Abu rukbeh ) promised to not interfere in any issue related to members..etc ; and he will leave it to the management ; and they will be held committed to their promise

In case that this happened again, this complaint file to be reopen again .

2-One of the point I raised that coach taleen .amawi got suspended from the gym, until today, she is still suspended from the gym, until now their was not any response from the Gym’s manager regarding coach taleen .amawi .

The petition, 90 members signed on, stated clearly that coach taleen.amawi to be welcomed back as a coach and an instructor as we are one big family, as many members are waiting for her to come back, this is one of the main requests, so the complaint is still not solved 100%.

3- I would like to thank gold’s gym -Jordan for their understanding as one of the best gyms in Jordan first and in the world, hope this gym can be the positive place we all wanted to be .

Gold's Gym how can I transfer my membership to someone?

Hi! I just want to ask on how can i transfer my gold's gym membership to somebody else?

i don't want to be a member of the club and i'm already fully paid for a year.

We also now have a free gym at the office, so instead of wasting my money to thin air, i'd like to share it to others for them to experience the club.

Gold's Gym customer service

This is regarding the lack of customer service at the Gold's Gym in Glendale, CA. They lack sincere care, sympathy, and sense of urgency, which will cause them their retention rate.

I had emailed Freddie Ramos, the Fitness Manager, at that location regarding cancellation of Gold's Fit classes on September 30th, he didn't respond to me until October 7th after my second email to him. He said he my request will be processed and I will get a confirmation in the afternoon. I still haven't gotten it, mind you it's been 12 days since October 7th.

On October 17, I wrote an email to Tony Johnson, the General Manager, he still hasn't responded to my email. 

I eventually called my credit card to dispute and block this merchant from future charges.

Normally negative reviews on yelp don't have an effect on me from choosing to go to a location, however, I attest to all the negative yelpers for this location and guarantee 100% of the negative reviews are true.

Gold's Gym bad trainer

I am along with group of friends enjoying your gym membership at Vashi location
Along with personal training from uninterrupted 4 years
Since past 3 months I am facing the problem of planter fascia ( bone enhancement in feet )
Same problem was introduced to my personal trainer mr Sumit chari
Also request was placed to change my personal trainer due to non suitability of his training
But al my effort died in vein in front of rigid approach of trainer and his associates

Gold's Gym over charging on my account despite early notice

I like to register my complaint to your office for Golds Gym, Ashburn, VA location. I have been dealing with Ryan Sill, the manager for a month on my account which has been charged wrongly. I met with him personally, he accepted the negligence of the Gym but now not responding me. He never returns my call. I am getting very upset and frustrated the way you people are treating me. I have the records to support my case. If my matter does not get resolved soon I am going on social media on your website, local Facebook group, Twitter account, local NextDoor neighbor application and warn people and share this story with local people so nobody dare to think about Golds Gym. I will not stop here and will report to BBB, your Head quarter and may be a news media so people know about your dealings. It is my hard earn money and will not let it go like this. You have one week to refund my money.

Gold's Gym membership scam!

What's a good gym in calgary?
Not sure how they did it but apparently I can't leave a review on @golds gym in ne calgary 🤔 so instead here's my rant on blast that I posted to social media after my calls have been ignored and management told she couldn't do anything..
Huge disappointment when businesses don't stick to their word! Looks like it's time for a new gym. Golds gym wouldn't let the boyfriend and I share a membership even though we are living together so between us we pay approximately $110 a month. For me this includes a bad membership with no perks added for $60 every month and no access to the pool, or classes and for the boyfriend its just under $50 for an all included membership, pool, tanning and all, that he has never once used while i've been around 😅 oh and because they refuse to let us share an account it means two joining fees and two yearly maintenance fees also affect us.
The best part about all of this is every time i'm in there I see a sign that states "add-ons are only $15!" so why the [censored] am I paying for this [censored] membership😅 that is clearly lies so don't fall for it or any other gimic they throw at you guys aha..
They have a referral program where you're supposed to get a free month when you bring somebody in or you get a free year when you bring three people in but I had to fight for my free month and didn't receive it until two or three months later and my boyfriend never even recieved his free month after getting me there almost a year ago... Talk about disappointment. Ps a majority of the equipment in the gym is usually broken. Several ladies who work out in the women's area joke around that it's just where the equipment gets stored when it's broken it's so bad back there! 😅 I will never be suggesting this gym again and I will be taking recommendations on where to take our memberships too! I want half of my money back for the fees I paid all year as I should have been a $15 add on and not forced to do my own membership. I have text messages from management confirming I should have been an add on! If I don't receive my money back i'll have lawyers involved

I think they shut them off cause of all the bad ones! You're not the only one they've ripped off. They've denied me my last 3 training sessions because I apparently owed the mysterious fee's out if no where. I also ended up with a back injury after a single training session with the so called Training Manager! 7 trainers at Country hills but it's a Manager that causes an injury, that's impressive!

Gold's Gym membership.

I moved from Arlington, VA on East Coast USA in 2015 to Hermiston, OR on West Coast USA & requested Golds Gym to put my membership on hold. Since then I have received double billings for $20.00 twice a month on top of the 15.99 twice a month & they never put it on hold. I am single & theres no excuse for 2 membership payments. Now that the credit card company credit the money back to my account, they sent me to collections on illegal charges that don't belong & on an account that was supposed to be on hold.

Gold's Gym $9.99 deducted out of account for 14-18 months

I rarely check my bank statement. I get my disability check once a month and all deductions pretty much have been same over the telephone. But I checked my statement for another reason and found even though I havent been to Golds Gym in over a year that deduction has been coming out. I have brought this matter to the faculty on different occasions and I also called the corporation. And said would reimburse, but to no avail, nothing has been done. And my insurance has been paying, that is fraud. You may contact at [protected]. Thank you

I have been Gold's gym member on and off since 2013. I signed back this summer and I was pretty happy with staff and my personal trainer. Then I needed to put freeze on my account for 2 months and I came and signed all documents and I thought I was good until I found out that I was good only for one month. I might have circulated by mistake one month, but both me and my trainer knew that it has to be for 2 month. Now I have bill for personal training and month of September that I can't attend and it seems that no one can fix anything.
I will cancel my membership and will never join this gym and will make sure that everyone in military community knows that Gold's gym is like trap. They just don't want to work with their customers.

Gold's Gym money stolen from my locker

On 28/09/2019 i went to the gym to workout and like every other day i put my bag, which had my wallet inside, in the locker and i safely locked it using a passcode.
After my workout i took my bag and left 10 mintues after leaving i notliced that my wallet was empty any my 80 JOD were gone. i contacted a contact person at the gym and he told me that he will take action and get back to me but he didnt.
so the following day on 29/09/2019 i went to the gym and asked to see the GM to submit my complaint verbally and officially but they didnt allow me to see the Gm and instead they asked me what happened then i told him and they told me they cant do anything about it as there are no cameras in the ladies locker room.
i told them that it is not a matter of cameras all lockers are locked using a passcode that evey memeber choses however there is a master key that is used to open all lockers ( if some get stuck or something) and this key is with the locker staff that is why i am accusing them o stealing my oney and helding them accountable to whta haapened.
Tey havent reacted nor took a professional action towads my complaint and my money is gone.
I hope this complaint get to Gold's Gym Franchise as it will affect their image and reputation and i am sure it will happen to someone else.
