I am writing to file a complaint and request assistance regarding my old prepaid SIM number that I have been trying to recover.
Almost three years ago, after losing my SIM card, I went to a Globe store to request a SIM replacement with the same number. However, I was informed by the staff that I needed to convert my prepaid SIM into a postpaid account and pay for it in order to retrieve my number. Because of the required payment and conversion, I did not proceed with the replacement at that time.
Recently, I searched online and also checked Globe’s policies regarding prepaid SIM replacement. Based on the information I found, replacing a lost prepaid SIM should only require an Affidavit of Loss and valid IDs, and should not require converting to postpaid or paying for a postpaid plan.
I already have my Affidavit of Loss, and I still badly need to recover my old number because it is important and connected to my accounts and personal information.
I would like to respectfully request clarification regarding this issue and ask for assistance in recovering my prepaid number without requiring a postpaid conversion if it is not actually necessary under Globe policy.
I hope for your immediate response and assistance regarding this matter.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Rlyn Piedad
