Giant Eagle review: Pharmacist

I called the pharmacy on 02/29/2024-03/01/2024. Spoke to the lady pharmacist about calling my mail order pharmacy to get 2 meds transferred to them. She wasn’t thrilled about doing it and initially said I needed to call my doctor’s office and have them send in a new script. I told her I’ve already called my mail order and they said it was the responsibility of the pharmacy that I wanted to use to start the transfer even though I could get new scripts. Giant Eagle pharmacist asked me what the name and number was abruptly said fine. Because it was heart med I called Giant Eagle the next day and I was again told the numbers they had they couldn’t get anyone to answer. I gave them another phone number for them to try and I called Centerwell pharmacy myself got right thru. I called Giant Eagle again and this time was told that CenterWell had changed its name to Carelon and they still weren’t able to get in contact with anyone. I told the tech the name hadn’t changed and I’m not sure of the number they had been calling but every time I call I get right thru. Long story short Giant Eagle told me they tried to call Sunday which I know wasn’t true because CenterWell isn’t open on Sundays! Today 03/04/2024 the same rude pharmacist who I had the initial contact with was put on the phone and told me they had 7 different numbers they tried although I only gave them 3. She said I had one more chance and they weren’t trying anymore. I told her I just talked to CenterWell pharmacy who questioned if they called and what number were they calling. CenterWell gave me a direct line number. I told the pharmacist what CenterWell had said. Because now she was definitely annoyed I asked to speak with the Director of Pharmacy and she said she was the director so I asked who was the director over her. She said I’m not giving you her name? So I said fine I’ll call another Giant Eagle and find out. Needless to say I had my entire profile transferred to Walgreen who had no problem calling the mail order AND got my meds transferred to them with just one phone call! and they also sent in the transfer to Giant Eagle to get my profile from them too! I guessed I asked to much for her to do her job.
