View all 260 complaintsGiant Eagle - Price of my prescription doubling without my knowledge.
On August 31st, I paid $3.71 for my Citalopram Hydrobromide 10 mg. prescription consisting of 14 pills. On September 26th, when I picked up the same refill, I was charged $6.52, I asked the tech how many pills were in there, since the price was double what I paid before. She said a 28 day supply and since I went through the drive through, I didn. t see the bottle until after I had paid for it and she gave it to me, sealed in a plastic bag. I assumed she was reading the number of pills from the bottle, but when I saw the amount of pills in the bottle, there were only 14. I immediately called about this issue and was told I couldn't get a credit of $3.01 and I couldn't return this refill, even though it was still sealed in a plastic bag. I have spent thousands of dollars, over the years, for mine and my husband's medications and I don't want to have to change suppliers because of the misinformation I was given. Walmart has 30 of these pills for $4.00, but I'd prefer to stay with you, where I do the bulk of my shopping.
I can't believe the price of this medication doubled in less than a month.
Desired outcome: $a $3.01 refind in the form of a Giant Eagle gift card
