Today I received a call from my physician that I needed to start went to have a prescription filled at the Market Express. For a 90-day supply, my copay was going to be more than $600, which I do not have.
So, I asked the technician 2 simple questions: 1) Would it be less expensive to use Good Rx and 2) Could I purchase a one month supply since that was all I could afford.
The tech told me it would take 1/2 hour to research my questions. So, I said fine, I will come back later. I came back and she answered my questions but then proceeded to tell me that questions like this take time away from other customers.
My response was "Were you told to say that?" She him-hawed and told me how I was having her go get answers to "all these questions" and pharmacies don't do that. I told her that was not true because they do it all the time.
The pharmacist then came out from behind the filling area and confronted me with. "If you have something to say, say it to my face!" So, I responded, "You heard what I said and if it pertains to you, then consider it said to your face.
She then proceeded to berate me on how I need to do my research before I come into the store. To her credit, she did shut up when I told her I had enough of it.
I am a senior citizen on a fixed income and not ordinarily a confrontational person, but I don't feel I deserve to be berated for simply asking two simple questions about alternative pricing.
Please respond because this has left me feeling very angry and disrespected.
