Dealing with a family member in hospice trying to get banking beneficiaries and Will aligned before death. Went into another bank and within minutes had most of what was needed - Balances, Account Info, and most important Beneficiary Designations
Then went into Flagstar and the senior member at the branch confirmed the LPOA was in order - dated, signed, notarized, etc. BUT claimed that a central signoff was required which he communicated and "red flagged" due to the hospice situation. 72 hours later Flagstar has provided nothing.
Key takeaway
Bank elsewhere - customer service is a failure, especially in a time of family need
How can one bank do in minutes what Flagstar has failed to do in three days! Shameful
Recommendation: Bank Elsewhere
