First Horizon National Corporation Check deposit

$2000 check that I depositnis hold. First excuse, the bank the check came from was from out of state. Second excuse, they where investing the check. Third excuse, I'm on over draft. THAT IS THE REASON I DEPOSIT IN THE FIRST PLACE. Final excuse because of the relationships between the bank and me... WHAT IN THE HELL IS THAT... This bank never calls to see what's going on or anything. Now I find out I'm driving with no insurance because payment never went threw. If it wasn't for me trying to get a new vehicle and called my insurance company, I would've never known until I got pulled over or something. I deposit March, 24, and I can get my money until the of April, we'll then they said the 6th and I just got off the phone and they said until the 5th.

First Horizon National Corporation Fraudulent banking services

First Horizon Corporation is among other stealers.

Are you aware that Banks stolen people 401k IRA and Retirement over $12T?

Yes at least 264 Banks did so bad to all of us from the last 20 years.

We all are victims of the 1%; Hillary will win because the %1 paid to have her do the dirty work for them, Learn their secrecy of stealing here: https://1drv.ms/f/s!Aqs7zg7dRLmHaiosKlumjfcYTQk

First Horizon loves to associate with Nationstar. Nationstar bought discharged loans for sub-penny, in other words, 1400X below value to steal people properties, after BIG BANKS already stolen our retirement in [protected]. Don't forget, they also got our deferred Bail out tax dollars in 2010-14.

You will be shock to learn how our parents, and family got ripped off since the last 20-years. They paid crooked lawyers and judges to get rid of your lawsuits so quickly too, by dismissing all your claims, using their misrepresented loan contract. Yup, they are not loan servicers as they claimed. They are actually fraudulent loan originators. Because they never lent us their moneys They lent us our retirement moneys and gave fictitious 401k reports like Bernard Madoff. They will do the same crash again in the future.

First Horizon National Corporation Loan modification fraud

We listen, we understand, we care. Most importantly, we want to help you.

That is the beginning of your own letter sent out to your customers.

That is also a joke.

I have been trying to talk with anyone who knows anything about the Loan Modification that I submitted the paperwork for back in February. Oh, but your paperwork will show it being received at the end of March because it took over a month to be uploaded into your system. When I was told that it would take 10 to 15 days to upload after it is received. I have called at least once a week, basically every time you leave a message on my phone telling me that I am delinquent in my payments, I call your company back to find out what is going on with the Loan Modification.

Normal calls include at least a 30 minute wait on hold.

Then I ask about my Loan Modification and your employees then proceed to tell me that it is under review. I have repeatedly asked that a note be put in my file for someone to please contact me and at least let me know where the Loan Modification is at and/or do I need to send more information to help the process.

I find it ironic that for the last 7 months I have not heard one word from First Horizon regarding the Loan Modification but I have received numerous letters telling me that my house will be foreclosed, that my case has now been forwarded to a Lawyer and I will be responsible for the cost. But the same day that I got the letter about the Lawyer and the cost of all of this I also received a letter from you stating that if I cannot afford to bring my account current that I should consider the following options and if I do it may delay or even alleviate the current legal action. One of the options to choose from is a Loan Modification which I have been trying to do with your company for 7 months now. So my questions is if a Loan Modification can delay or even alleviate the current legal action then why am I receiving letters that say that the necessary required documents have been forwarded to your Attorney to initiate foreclosure proceedings when in fact I am and have been trying to get a Loan Modification completed?

Please review my file, you will find that I did have 3 months of my Mortgage saved and I put that in my initial letter that I did tell them that I would become delinquent in July. That I have called repeatedly and have made no progress what so ever. I was not asking for the Loan Modification to be complete I was just asking for an update other then, "It is under review." I do not think after 7 months an update was to much to be asking for. The last employee of yours that I spoke with, Martine, said that she did not understand why someone has not called me back? That maybe I should resubmit my paperwork. She is telling me to go back and do work that I don't even know if the person reviewing my case even wants. I informed her that all the information is in the new packet that I sent and you have received 9/16/10, the packet is requesting to stop the Loan Modification and start a Short Sale.

I am now requesting a Short Sale. I am hoping that this process goes smoother then the Loan Modification. I know you received the packet that I sent on 9/16/10 at 9:54 am. I know this because as before I sent this with tracking. One of your employees informed me that your Loss Mitigation department can tell me if paperwork was received when it is received. I agrued with him telling him that I have been through this before and that I was told that it would take 10-15 days to upload in your system he said no that they will be able to tell me that paperwork was received. He was greatly mistaken because when I called to see if you have record of the paperwork that you received on 9/16/10, I was told that it takes 10-15 days to upload in the system, Martine told me that. My point to all this is that your employees who actually answer the phones are poorly informed and do not help your customers at all when we are requesting information about pending Loan Modifications. Other then to inform us, "that it is under review."

If my Loan Modification was truly assigned to someone and it has been under review for 7 months. Really how hard is it to establish debt to income ratio and if I can truly afford my home or not? Or at least contact me to let me know if I am missing paperwork or to let me know what is going on with the Loan Modification. I do not think that I am asking to much.

If you truly do stand by your own statement, "We listen, we understand, we care. Most importantly, we want to help you." I would think that my situation would be looked into and that I would be contacted and informed as to what happened with the Loan Modification and if you have record of at least receiving the Paperwork requesting a Short Sale.

Warning : AVOID FIRST HORIZON HOME LOANS AND BANK SERVICES AT ALL COSTS!! I had a very bad experience with First Horizon, now owned by Met Life. Back in 2003 I obtained a home loan and they offered a slight interest rate reduction for opening a First Horizon Checking account, from which my mortgage payment would be drafted...I figured, OK, why not? BIG...

First Horizon National Corporation HELOC

As of (06/02/2008) my First Horizon H.E.L.O.C. was closed. I was given no notice even though the customer service representative said a letter was sent last week of 05/26/2008. I have made all my payments but First Horizon made the business decision to close my account in where I can only pay my bill. After searching many websites I found that First Horizon closed their Home Equity Loan center last year. No one from First Horizon has made their consumers aware of this. I would have appreciated a letter stating my contract terms, a reasonable explanation for closing, what the options are, etc..etc...I signed up a bank account just over a month ago to be able to transfer funds between my account and my H.E.L.O.C. I am sure that the representative knew about their H.E.L.O.C. division closing and didn't say a word to me. This is poor communication between the customer and the bank.

I couldn't agree more with you. I used to work for First Tennessee Bank, their sister bank, and they are one of the worst banks. Their training is pathetic. I feel sorry about your situation with your HELOC, but the majority of the time they do not tell their employees anything about whats going on. Their emphasis is on sales, sales, sales. They don't care about the customers just about how many of products can we sell them. "Who cares if they need it or not you have a quota to make if you want to keep your job" That and they just disgust me. Oh yeah, their motto "Employees First" was completely ripped out of a book. That is total bull. If you are thinking about getting a job with them or have a job with them...WATCH YOUR BACK. If you are a current customer...WATCH YOUR ACCOUTS AND THOSE FEES. If you are thinking of becoming a customer...GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

First Horizon National Corporation Fee for online payment

I was VERY disappointed when I saw on the web page of the online payment option that a fee will start being assessed. I called first horizon and they said it would be 11.00... I fail to understand why a fee needs to be assessed. I am not going to pay online anymore... It saddens me because I pay ALL my bills online and first horizon is the only one charging a fee now... I would think most companies would want their customers to use the internet for transactions because it is cheaper... Won't it cost more for first horizon to process checks now if many people will not use the pay online option anymore because of the 11 dollar fee and send in their checks instead..? Too bad..This is a step backward...

Hopefully enough customers will complain and we can have free online payment processing again.

First Horizon National Corporation I feel as if I am being blackmailed

I have a problem with First Horizon. I have had a Home Mortgage with them for the past 6 years; and never had a late payment. I am currently paying my loan on line with them. I received a letter from them letting me know they were going to start charging a "convenience fee" of $11 in the future. They did offer me other options that are 'free.' I can join their bank. Or give them my bank and account number so they can withdraw the payment from my account. I feel as if I am being blackmailed.

Their letter states "The monthly automatic draft program offers a convenient way to have your payment deducted from your checking or savings account automatically - saving you the step of having to call us or go online each month to make your payment." If they want to charge a "convenience fee" they should charge anyone who wants that 'convenience'. I would prefer not to have anyone have access to my bank account.

Why can they do this and call it a "convenience fee"? The online payment will still be available. Why charge me $11 to transfer money from my account to theirs by myself but if I want them to do it is free? That makes no sense to me. Someone there is being paid too much to come up with silly ideas to make more money from the consumer who is left with little choice. So they blackmail us.

First Horizon (First Tennessee) used to offer telephone check verification. They had an 800 number printed on their checks for ease of use. When I took checks from their account holders, it was super easy to verify them before I accepted them. I felt that the chances of the check being returned were greatly diminished because I could verify them. First Horizon then decided to discontinue this service. I immediately accepted a couple of checks which were bad and caused me to stop accepting 1st Tennessee checks. It cost me business and it causes upset customers when I won't accept checks anymore. Why?

First Horizon doesn't care about their account holders enough to provide this basic convenience!

July 2009 – I had made payment arrangements with First Horizon to satisfy my past due amount of $ 5, 330.58. A payment in the amount of $ 1, 467.24 was made.

August 2009 – I tried to make the 2nd payment under the agreed upon terms and was rejected by the same representative that developed the re-payment terms. The reason given to me for this action “I was overruled”. I was not given any options and terms would not be discussed until my account was current. Total Due was $ 5, 330.58. I could not make this payment by the final deadline given to me – 09/21/09

November 2009 – I receive a Notice of Trustee Sale. According to the document, I was behind on payments from March 2009 and must pay a balance of $ 307, 905.76.

November 2009 - Phoned First Horizon to discuss any other type of payment options. None were given.

February 2010 – First Horizon purchases the amount due of $ 307, 905.76 for $ 240, 500.00. First Horizon pays Citicorp, the first mortgage lender, the total amount to satisfy the loan – approximately $ 321, 500.00.

March 2010 – First Horizon places the house on the market for $ 599, 000.00. The house is sold on the first day of listing within two hours for $ 599, 000.00. This property was appraised 13 months from the sale for $ 850, 000.00.

I do not understand how or why you are asking me to satisfy an amount of $ 136, 197.34. First Horizon made a decision to buy a piece of property, satisfy any lien holders, and then sell it below market value. The only asset I had to pay you back with is now gone. I have lost my 18 years of homeowner equity.

Cause you didnt keep up your mortgage, went into foreclosure and you are being asked to probably pay lawyer fees, tranfer fees, ect.

Its a sad situation but none of the profit belongs to you because it was no longer your property
so it doesnt go to paying your debt. If you didnt get the payment agreement in writing there is no way to prove it happened, Im sorry to say.

I have a first Horizon Home Loan on a Galveston house damaged by Hurricane Ike in September, 2008. It has take 7 months to get through the Insurance process and to get First Horizon to release insurance checks that they required to be put in escrow. The First Horizon roadblocks in the funding and repair process have been more severe than the insurance appraisal process. Every step with First Horizon seems to take at least 2 weeks, and there have been many steps, from requesting a loss claim kit to providing over 50 pages of documents before claims could be initiated. Setting up escrow and getting the 1st 20% draw took 2 weeks, scheduling inspections took 2 weeks, verifying inspections took 2 weeks, writing and sending the 2nd check too 2 weeks, and now I need to provide a notarized affidavit of completion. Requesting the form and getting it sent is taking 2 weeks, and I imagine after I send it back it won't be processed for another 2 weeks. People at the First Horizon Loss Draft department are either the most incompetent people I have dealt with or are stalling the release of funds at every step for their own gains. JHR

I too am a First Horizon customer. Being a First Horizon customer is a nightmare...too many examples to list. I will refi as soon as possible and recommend to all to avoid this company at all costs. My CU does not sell their loans (which is how I ended up with First Horizon) so that is who I will be going with. Recommend you do the same or similar.

It's 2009 and I'm having real problems with First Horizon. I called them to get a rate and after having refinanced with them twice over the last 12 years, was lulled into believe they were telling me the truth this third time as well. I was WRONG! Not only did I agree to the refinancing based on several lies they told, they now are charging me $500 to cancel THEIR bad verbal disclosures to me! Specifically: Their verbal Good Faith estimate was not accurate, they didn't tell me I could get my own settlement attorney and they said I couldn't buy down the mortgage rate by paying a point! I'm just really glad I never signed on the dotted line to take their refinance this time. Wow. Talk about BLACKMAIL: Do the mortgage or we'll take $500 off your credit card. Complaints are in to the appropriate government state and federal agencies.

I'm in the same boat... And quite frustrated. Take a look at their user agreement for their "Equity Accelorator" program before you sign up for it... They start by taking $300 out of your first payment to pay for the service, then another $5 a month... How convenient. Oh, and as for that truth in lending thing... I had to scroll forever through the user agreement to find this info (that many people would just click "I accept" to proceed).

I won't be recommending anything other than Running from a First Horizon Loan!

I am angry, too. I e-mailed them to assure them that I will go back to snail mail to make my payments, and that once my loan is paid off I will never use their financial services again, nor will I recommend them to anyone else.
