Fingerhut Billing and Payments

I am a consumer with fingerhut. I have made all my payments on time and at times made double payments however including new orders I noticed my bill has not gone down and it appears not all my payments are being counted for. In April 2022 I made two payments one towards the end of the month for May payment. Then I received an email about a payment coming due on May 20, 2022. I contacted the company and was informed payment was made. I was told the additional payment I made would not count for May 20, 2022 payment as I made the payment before the due date. I was never informed I could not make payment before time. I then was told the payment I made can be reversed back to me and then I could re-submit the payment on due date. I also requested a copy of my statements for the past year. As allegedly my request was being completed after 45 minutes of engagement the call was disconnected without completion of my request. Since then I have attempted to speak with a Representative who will assist, three calls have been disconnected while I was speaking to a Representative. I emailed Fingerhut after receiving notification that my account is locked and minimum payment would be one hundred and nine dollars. Again despite the fact that pay my bill monthly and the additional payment was not reversed. Today I began calling Fingerhut four times , was hung up on twice while speaking to a Representaitve and twice the call was answered no greeting and hang up. Currently I have been on the phone for 45 minutes with Michelle no extension - id (last three) - 536 in order to speak to Jay the Supervisior. She just hung on me. I called back and surprisingly Michelle picked up call and once she heard my voice she hung up on me I called again she picked up again and hung up AGAIN. I need help they are going to ruin my credit.

Desired outcome: All my statements and late fee to be removed and missed payment to be removed. I would like an audit of my account. I would also like the Fingerhut Fetti account that was opened without my knowledge or consent to be closed.

Fingerhut false advertising for building credit

I had an account under [protected]@gmail.com . You closed that account without reason after I paid it off. I was never late with payments, and I had a credit limit of at least $2000. You damaged my credit when you closed that account. Having to begin again at Fresh Start added another credit inquiry, my length of credit history dropped, as well as my credit amount total fell by at least $2000, making my credit usage appear high. You're supposed to help, not hurt my credit. Why'd you crash my credit score?

Desired outcome: I'd appreciate a response and a remedy for my loss.

That's what they do . Go back through your credit report and see how many times they gave you a temporary credit increase and then took it off even when you never used it or opted out of them years ago . They did it to me 5 times and then sent a letter saying their automatic system did it once but no answer for the other 4 times it happened. You're not the only one that had their credit score ruined. They did it to most of their customers. You pay 29.99 % interest and three times the price that you can buy the same item elsewhere to improve your credit and then they actually hurt your score not help it. They should be required to refund all interest paid and all costs over what an item is priced elsewhere . Terrible company . It's like legalized theft .

Fingerhut why I canceled my account

I was considered a valued customer who purchased and paid off many products with a few thousand in available credit then one day I woke up and got a alert from my credit watch app that a new account has been created. I immediately called them told them I have not made a new account and wanted to know whats going on... they told me they created the account for me as a valued costumer... I asked how can they do that without notifying or asking me a lady went into a long monotone explanation in a Indian accent and wasn't even taking a breath I had to scream lady shut up to get her to pause then I canceled my account.

Desired outcome: to have a conversation with an english speaking person that holds a position alot higher than a phone tech

Fingerhut Fraud

I recently have a credit account of 600, so I first ordered a mistake air mattress that I knew I was sending back when it came. It was 300 dollars and the box wasnt packaged in another box, I never recieved a return label. I had to print it out. I also purchased a laptop that im good with it cost 377.00 with 100 dollars off. So it was 277 minus a12.50 with a promocode. So I order sneakers 2 pair one fit one didnt now I have to send back. It took 3 weeks to recive these items and they had a bill already for me. Thats not the worst part. They didnt even give me time like other credit cards do they give you a month before you pay anything. Now they sent a letter that they were switching companys for payment and creditiors, so on one account I owe 40.00 and the other I owe 18.99, fingerhut advantage 40 dollars which say im late andd now owe 80, the fun fetti 18.99 and its due june 7th. Thats 60 dollars a month for what. I may cancel this account because I should only have one account not 2. There nuts. And saying im late already when I just ordered stuff and didnt get it til mid april and first advantage account 40 dollars may 7 and fingerhut fetti 18.99. That is fraud. I have to call the crazy people. Its not right.

Desired outcome: I WANT MY ACCOUNT TO BE ONE ACCOUNT NOT 2 ACCOUNTS WITH 2 PAYMENTS WITH THE SAME THINGS ORDERED, PAYING ON THE ITEMS TWICE. THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING.

Item ordered was man's Hoosier dec of 2019. Received Womans puffy vest size 3x. Geez.

Had no idea that FH was so fraudulent. Returned wrong items with packing slip. Received email 10days later "We Have It " we have your return

3 years later, its still on my credit report. I did not get what I ordered and returned the item. I. Owe. Nothing

Working with THIRD dispute agency now. I will pay lawyer, but never the $86 ridiculous balance. Don't pay people, fight. That's why they continue to do this, it WORKS!

Desired outcome: Want the 86 balance removed, they have their item i have nothing. What is so difficult about this? Webbank off my credit report

Fingerhut Complaint

Due to illness, I am unable to make my minimum payment due 5/2/22. They have it advertised all over their site that they will work with you if you cannot pay due to illness (I need to move my payment date to the end of this month, or double up on payments next month. I have never been late in the 5 years I have been a customer).

I called 4/28/22, was on the phone for nearly two hours, spoke with 4 people. Was hung up on, was transferred to a robot and left there, was led back to the website which then leads you to their main customer service number.

I am on the phone with them again today 4/29/22, and have been on hold for going on an hour. Told all supervisors are in a meeting, no one can help, etc.

I know I owe money, I am trying to do the right thing and communicate with my creditor to work something out. I am being treated like garbage while sick, their website is extremely misleading. All of my other creditors have worked with me, so I have no other option but to file a report here.

Desired outcome: change my pmt date to 5/30 waive late fee, or allow me to pay before I hit 30 days, waive late fee and NOT ding my credit. A deferred payment would be extremely appreciated.

Fingerhut Safelline

Very confusing way they operate. It seems like they intentionally create barriers for those who are seeking benefits. I have been unemployed since August 26th, 2021. Yet they have only paid two benefits. Despite providing my lay-off letter, proof of applying and being qualified for unemployment benefits until October of 2022, and providing proof of being registered with an employment agency, Safeline still requires more information that quite frankly doesn't have anything to do with my case. Now they're asking for more proof: another screen shot of my registration with the employment agency and proof that I owe unemployment. The fact that I owe restitution to my state unemployment agency has NOTHING to do with being laid-off or being awarded unemployment benefits.

Desired outcome: The company owes me benefits from my initial lay-off on August 26, 2021 to current

Fingerhut Fraud purchase

I received an E-mail that an iPhone was purchased and 2 payments made with my debit card that I did not purchase. It was 6 hours after I received the E-mail when I attempted to cancel the fraud order and was declined "too late to cancel" i called Fingerhut fraud at 8am Pacific time and they told me they would investigate and would take 1-3 business days. I just received an E-mail that the thieves order has shipped! They didn't stop the shipment to Minnesota and I live in Washington State!

Desired outcome: I want the shipment stopped and the moneys returned! it was two separate payments $114 and $200 plus $1100 in Fingerhut credit

Fingerhut Fitbit watch

In January of 2022, I ordered a Fitbit watch from Fingerhut.

When I returned the watch, within the specified time and in exactly the same condition it was in when I got it, I was not refunded the entire amount of the purchase. The first time I called I was escalated x2. The second person I spoke to transferred me to another department that was closed for the night. I then sent of an email to their customer service dept. I received an email back that stated they 'tried to contact me by calling the number I provided' but that was a complete lie. Absolutely no one from Fingerhut ever tried to call me. When I called back I was, again, escalated x2. The second person I spoke to told me that the $23.63 still on my account was a "return shipping fee". I informed the rep that I had, in fact, paid for the return shipping and there was no reason for Fingerhut to charge such a fee. He insisted it was an 'automatic charge' and absolutely no one I could possibly be transferred to would be able to remove it. I expressed my displeasure at that, stated my desire to cancel my account, my intention to tell every one I know to steer clear of Fingerhut and hung up the phone.

Desired outcome: Removal of the 'returned shipping fee' and closure of my Fingerhut Account

Fingerhut Credit account

They keep temporary increasing my limit then dropping it ...that has sent a red flag to my other credit cards making my credit limit to be dropped.. My credit score dropped..and this is the second time they have done this...i have called and requested dont raise it again and then drop it...i am trying to pay them off for 29.99% intersest rate...i dont want to order no more frim them...

They did the same to me . Now they switched banks to Fetti and closed my old account and opened this new one from Fetti bank , My bank notified me my Transunion dropped 25 points and my equifax dropped 32 points . Nowhere did they say your credit score would drop like a rock or I would have declined it. 4 1/2 years buying many things and never a late payment and the company that says this builds credit actually hurts your credit . Last year I got a temporary increase I never asked for but never used it and when they took it back my credit dropped 10 points . It should be illegal for them to add credit without your approval and then remove it lowering your credit score . They have very predatory practices. They have non existent customer service in another country with people you can't understand and do nothing to help you and tell you they will put you on with a specialist and hang up on you after 10 minutes . The email complaint site didn't work either . All they are interested in is your money and could care less about customers .4 1/2 year spent lots of money never late with one payment and they give you the shaft . I'm going to see if I can file a complaint with the Pa attorney general .I wouldn't recommend them to anyone . The so called credit helpers are the credit destroyers ,I'm going to cancel my account before they force something else on me that lowers my score .

Fingerhut Cell phone

I ordered a cell phone from Fingerhut. I had the phone for a couple weeks and had nothing but issues put of it so I sent it back. Fingerhut will not remove a payment on that phone and the payment has now became late which cause the payment to go from $37 to $88. I've emailed them multiple times but of course no help at all. They wont remove the payment off of my account for a faulty phone they sold me that was returned to them.

Fingerhut Perfume

I placed one order with Fingerhut and I never received that item and now I'm being charged for an item I did not receive. I have called and emailed Fingerhut regarding my item that I did not receive. Now Fingerhut wants me to pay for an item I never received. I would like my account closed. I don't want my account active, please close my account.

Fingerhut Returns

I ordered an OVER PRICED laptop. It is very small and useless. I do not want the laptop. I see on the website you have 60 days to return merchandise. I did just that, I returned the laptop before the 60DAYS were up. The laptop was returned to me with absolutely no explanation why it was returned! I called the absolutely useless customer service line and was repeatedly told you are supposed to SEARCH on fingerhut website fir the laptop return policy?! Are you serious! I stated I will return the laptop for full credit. Why am I being "raped"!? I am being Forced to pay for something I do not want! If the product was defective you would exchange or refund?! The laptop is in the same condition as it was sent and can be sold... to someone who wants it.

They just changed over to some fingerhut fetti account, I just ordered my items in april, didnt reicve them for 3 weeks, and return a piece of junk air matress over priced 299.00, they fully refunded me, i also purchased a laptop with it, it was HP 14 in AMD RADEON, ORDERED 2 PAIRS OF OVER PRICED SNEAKERS AND NOW I HAVE TO SEND A PAOR BACK OF KSWISS WOMEN SIZE 9 THAT DO NOT FIT. ONLY HAD A WEEK. i NEVER WORE THEM ONLY TRIED THEM ON. tHE PROBLEM IS THEY HAVE 2 ACCOUNTS AND SAY IM LATE ON A PAYMENT, fIRST ADVATAGE CREDIT AND SOMETHING NEW THEY CHANGED OVER TOO, THEY HAVE 2 ACCOUNTS UNDER ONE ITS CRAZY, MY MINIMUM PAYMENT WAS 46.99 IT NOW THEY SAY IM LATE ON ONE PAYMENT AND OWE ANOTHER MONTH WHEN THEY DIDNT EVEN LET ME GET THE PRODUCTS. i OWE 18.99 A MONTH ON THE FINGERHUT FETTI ACCOUNT. Fingerhut Safeline

I recently noticed that Fingerhut has been charging me monthly for over 2 years for this SAFELINE crap that I never "opt-in" or authorized. I directed that it be canceled immediately and that a full refund be applied! I also requested a copy of the contract that I signed authorizing this enrollment, have not received anything nor am I ever able to speak with a supervisor, as they are NEVER available. I will follow up with Consumer Affairs as well as BBB if Fingerhut is not willing to resolve this in a timely fashion. I also notice that there is a Complaint Board with numerous consumers complaining of the same thing happening to them - as well as a - Class Action Lawsuit pertaining to this.

Desired outcome: Full refund - not that 60 days garbage

Fingerhut freshstart account

On November 13 2021 I send $ 40.00 payment al so November 1 2021 $ 40.00 payment before my due date of 12/09/2021 mail by date of 12/02/2021 however i received email stating miss my payment due December 9 2021 and they add Late fee 14.00 also another 37.94 past due amount however webpage say NO AMOUNT DUE AND NO MINIMUM DUE NO DUE N/A

Fingerhut Magic chef ice maker chrome

I am having a hard time with the item that I ordered and paying it off . My payoff isn't right . They are working on me paying interest and not the item . Paying it off early is supposed to pay off and where they are going with that I don't know. Call me at [protected] so it can be fixed
! With the way they are doing it. I can send it back and pay cash at Walmart and be lot Cheaper
! So give me a call when you get the information I sent

Fingerhut Customer service

I've kept my account current and made purchases in the past. for no reason my orders keep getting cancelled and when I call the don't have a reason for it just that I have to call a different phone number. They either keep acting like they are loosing me or put me on hold till I hang up. They told me to send in a copy of my birth certificate, ID, and utility. This is ridiculous I'm not sending all the info to. That's how personal information gets stolen. I really hope we can resolve this or I will just close my acct.

Fingerhut Billing

I had a finger hut account and paid so well they raised my credit, I made payments early where I believe I was always paid ahead one or two months in case I had a bad month my payments were paid . For example I made a pmt say feb 3 rd for feb pmt due feb 5 th then I paid again feb 23rd for the March pmt due. I did this every month. I was paid through December in October . Now they are saying I am late and demanding 2 payments. I explained and read off my pmts. They are saying they put those extra pmts toward the principal, which I did not request and I checked my bal never went down. If this were true my Val would have decreased by that amount because if they apply to principle interest is not charged. One rep said they would take care of it and never did. When I called back I was told too bad and they were rude. Now after never missing a pmt and paying ahead they are turning me into credit company ruining my credit I have worked hard to rebuild. I have proof of all my pmts.

Desired outcome: Credit my pmts as should have been credited, to where I am current. My next pmt should have been due in January 2022. Retract bad credit statement to credit bureaus.

Fingerhut Fingerhut

I order a cell phone from them on 07/27/2021 and it didn't work, and I sent it back, and copy of the Post office statement, they claim that they didn't receive the phone, we tracked the phone, and someone at Fingerhut got it, so I kept calling they sent me affidavit to to fill out, I did and I didn't hear anything from them again, they tell me that I need to fill out another affidavit, I ask what happen to the first one, they never answered me, and they never sent another, they told my account was sold to another company, and I'm still making payments to Fingerhut.
