we ordered a small wooden bookcase from walmart, (not a large box, close to road and difficult to see from house, see picture), delivered today, february 20, 2021, 11:15am. this is accurate as we were pulling into our driveway as fed ex truck was leaving. unfortunately, we found our purchase leaning against a tree, IN the snow, without a plastic bag or any sort of weather protection. there was nothing to stop him from driving up our driveway, to deliver on porch, as it was in no way impossible to navigate (see picture.) since we have previously dealt with other unprofessional deliveries we even have a 'request' sign posted on our driveway now asking specifically for porch delivery as it has been, on occasion, still left on driveway. today's delivery was unacceptable as product could have been easily missed out by road and/or damaged from long wait in wet snow had we not been there to retrieve it immediately. additionally, the time lapse between 'delivered' email notice, which hit our email at 11:49am, approx. 34 minutes, and actual delivery was enough time for possible product damage. we understand some delays can be due to the current situation and are tolerable but disrespectful mishandling shouldn't be tolerated, especially when it becomes repetitious. thank you for your attention to this situation/problem as it now appears to be commonplace.
