So, I had three cars that needed to be shipped from New Jersey to Bremerhafen. The plan was for them to arrive on September 4th. However, something went wrong and the container was put on hold by customs. There was no reason given for the hold, even though all the documents were in order. Now, I'm not sure when I'll be able to see my car again. The latest estimate is November, and I'm worried about having to pay thousands of dollars in storage costs in the meantime.

To make matters worse, communication from West Coast Shipping has been very poor. I've been left in the dark about what's going on and when I can expect my cars to arrive. It's been a frustrating experience, to say the least.

It has now been over 6 months and I am still waiting for my money. This has been a very frustrating and disappointing experience for me. I strongly advise against using WCS as they do not care about vehicles at all and are very unprofessional.

There were times where I couldn't get any info or help from the company I used to organize the shipping for me, so I would contact Alex via email, and I would have the answer to my questions within minutes. From the first time I contacted Alex, I felt at ease and confident.

I have photos that clearly document the damage, but when I asked for a damage report, I was told that it was not necessary. Instead, I was asked to provide a cost estimate for the damage. When I provided the estimate, it was not accepted, and I was portrayed as a bad person who was trying to enrich myself with the damage.

To make matters worse, I was asked to look for used body parts that were not badly damaged myself. The company only paid for used parts, and the price they paid was ridiculous. Additionally, all of the additional work that arose was not paid for. In the end, I was only reimbursed for 1/3 of the damage, and I was left with the rest.

I sought advice from a classic car forum, and I was told not to hire a lawyer. I was advised to take what I could get, or else I would be stuck with the damage and would have to bear the entire legal fees. Unfortunately, the boss, A, took advantage of this and went down from his higher offer, desperately looking for reasons to do so.

I also purchased better transport insurance, but I am now of the opinion that it probably doesn't even exist. An insurance company would contact you directly and would not let the head of the forwarding company negotiate with you. I was enticed away from a great offer from a reputable competitor by Agent F, who lives in Germany. He argued that WCS delivers faster and is better. However, the end result was that my car was damaged faster and more likely. The competition would have been even cheaper.

I was looking for a 37-year-old classic car in the USA with an almost perfect first coat of paint. I found it, and West Coast Shipping destroyed it for me. Normally, when I buy something, I always look at the reviews first. However, in this case, I did not do that because I was captured by F. C. here in Germany.
