On the afternoon of Thursday, September 28th I went on to the Expedia website and made a reservation for a hotel booking for the night of October 5th at the Hampton Inn, Auburn. I never received an e-mail confirmation and tried repeatedly to contact Expedia to tell them I had not received an e-mail, which may have been sent to the wrong e-mail address. After wasting over an hour trying to resolve this matter by phone and on my computer I looked up the phone number for the Hampton Inn in Auburn and they advised me they had received no booking information from Expedia for the room night requested. I then went back to Expedia and booked a room for the Hampton Inn, Auburn for the night of October 5th and received an immediate confirmation e-mail from Expedia.

This morning I contacted the Hampton Inn at Auburn and they advised me that they now had two reservations in my name from Expedia for the night of October 5th, but cannot cancel one and I must contact Expedia. There is no way to cancel the first reservation through Expedia as I have no confirmation number and it is impossible to speak to anyone in person on the phone at Expedia.

Please confirm you have cancelled first reservation or I will have to file a complaint and notify Visa to cancel this payment.

Thank you.

Desired outcome: Cancel the first reservation for which no e-mail was received by me and make sure I am not charged for a second room reservation. Confirm this action by e-mail to me at <span class="replace-code" title="This information is only accessible to verified representatives of company">[protected]</span>@gmail.com
