Eureka Forbes review: AMC

Dear Eureka Forbes Customer Care / Compliance Team,

I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding the failure to fulfil the contractual obligations under my 3-year AMC (AMC GOLD) purchased from Eureka Forbes.

I purchased the AMC GOLD for a period of three years, from 13 September 2023 to 13 September 2026, for a total consideration of ₹5,599. As per the AMC terms, the filter was to be replaced once every year during the AMC period.

However, during the entire three-year AMC period, the filter was replaced only once. Thus, the promised annual filter replacement service was not provided for the remaining period of the contract.

Complaints raised

I raised the following complaints with your TFN/customer service team:

Unfortunately, on each occasion, the concerned representatives merely informed me that it was my fault for not raising the matter earlier and that nothing could be done at this stage.

I find this response completely unsatisfactory. The fact that I may not have raised the issue earlier does not absolve Eureka Forbes of its obligation to provide the services expressly covered under a paid AMC. If the annual filter replacement was part of the AMC commitment, it was the company's responsibility to honour that commitment during the validity of the AMC.

Moreover, the repeated eagerness of the representatives to close my complaints within 24 hours, without actually resolving the underlying issue, has further added to my dissatisfaction.

Escalation to Compliance Team

I subsequently escalated the matter to your Compliance Team, where Mr. Zaid S. took the time to understand my complaint. He acknowledged the issue and also responded to me by email.

However, my last communication from Mr. Zaid S. was received on 17 September 2026, and it has now been more than 10 days without any further response, resolution, or proposed corrective action.

I therefore request Eureka Forbes to treat this as a formal escalation and service deficiency complaint and provide an appropriate resolution.

Since the company has failed to provide the services committed under the AMC for a substantial portion of the contractual period, I request that ₹5,599 paid by me for the AMC be refunded, or alternatively, that Eureka Forbes provide an appropriate proportionate refund corresponding to the services that were not delivered.

I would also like to place on record a serious concern regarding the implications of the failure to replace the filter as scheduled. The purpose of purchasing an AMC for a water purifier is to ensure that the equipment continues to provide safe and properly purified drinking water. Fortunately, by the grace of God, everyone at home remains healthy, despite the possibility that we may have been consuming inadequately purified water during the period when the scheduled filter replacement was not carried out.

I expect Eureka Forbes to take this matter seriously and provide me with a written resolution within 7 days of receipt of this complaint.

In the absence of a satisfactory resolution within this period, I will be constrained to pursue the matter through the appropriate consumer grievance/redressal mechanisms, including seeking refund/compensation for the services not provided and any other relief available to me under applicable consumer protection laws.
