I'll buy my cigarettes that cadre to me as a loyal customer...instead of inconveniencing me... to have to pull out my Driver lic... that is secured in my wallet so I don't loose it... I smoke American Spirits $9 a pk... I'll spend my money else where... just sayin

Customer service
I have never been to Dollar General before so I decided to stop by one. I went in and asked for help from a male employee and he did amazing and was very helpful and respectful. The cashier on the other hand (an older lady with long blond/white hair), was the total opposite. When I walked up, she did not greet me in any way. She rang up my purchases and a message popped up that I have never seen before so I asked her what that meant and her response was "Just press cancel." She never made eye contact. Then she told me the total so I paid her a $20 bill. She did not say thank you, she just handed me the change. I said thank you and she did not say anything. The store number is 03145 in Wichita, KS. Due to this very rude behavior, I will not visit this location again.
Desired outcome: Increase employee customer service skills
Daisy sour cream
Two times I have purchased Daisy sour cream at the Bean Station, TN store, only to get it home, take off the lid to find the seal had been torn off and finger prints all the way to the bottom of container with a smell of vomit. These incidents were approximately six months apart. I did not return to store as the gas and time would have been more expensive than the product itself so I slammed each of them in the trash. The first time, I chalked it up to disgust but the second time made me angry. That store needs a lot of attention. Disgusting!
Entire store

On 12/16/2021 at 9:30 a.m., I was shopping at Dollar General Store #16948. My compliant is about the "manager" employee who was busy complaining to another employee about your company. I stood waiting to checkout while she kept talking. I finally asked for some service. She told me I was rude, and do not come back to this store.
It it my feeling that people are getting paid a decent wage to "work" and make sure the customers are taken care of.
Desired outcome: Please explain to employees that there job is to see to customer needs, not stand around and gossip while customers are waiting.
Heart land farms cat food
We bought a bag of heartland farms cat food and my 4 month old cat is so sick now she lost weight she's throwing up blood she won't even eat canned tuna. We had to force water down her throat thanks to heart land cat food. I don't think she's gonna make it another week. I want to talk to whoever owns the heart land brand. [protected]@gmail.com.
Desired outcome: [protected]@gmail.com

Workmans comp
I got hurt at work, when I was finished with my retainer, it fills on me empty. It fills across my back, neck, and head. now I'm suffering from Post-concussion Syndrome having, headaches... I told the man at work that the retainer fill on me. did not even ask if I am ok or not.
I went to the workman comp doctor, and he gave me sent to do light duties work to return, but they say they don't have light duties I've been out of work. They don't intend to pay me from the time I got hurt. so do you think they should pay me Workman's comp being they have no light duties?

Truck driver pulled up behind me and my 3 year old and stuck us for 30+ minutes.he could have let us out B4 he opened the back plus he didn't have to pull up right behind.. truck number 73628 he knew I had child with me.he just looked at me and opened the back doors it seemed as if he was taking as long as possible on purpose because I was agitated because I had to get my child to the doctors on which she missed do to this.. what would be nice is if he would have been more considerate about a child sitting in the car for so long..
Truck driver
I was just at the main intersection in Ellisville MS. The light on my side was green and he ran through the red light that he had and could clearly see that he did not have enough room to make the turn. He never slowed down. Thank goodness nothing was behind me so I could back up. His trailer number was 11008. I work for a transportation company so I know this is unacceptable!
Veteran Military Discount
I have applied and been accepted for the military discount with the Dollar General Store. I am being told it is the second Wednesday of each month for the discount. I go to the Armuchee Store, in Rome GA 30165. I rang up my item at the self check out, entered my phone number and no discount was given. I asked the young lady at the register. She didn't know anything about the military discount. I went looking for the manager, she told me it was no longer the second Wedesday of each month, but a day selected at random. What good is that, unless you are going to send me a notice each month. I use the $5 discount on $25 each Saturday with no problem. Our Family Dollar will now give the $5 off $25 order. OUr Publix grocery store will do the same with $30 order. I guess I can forget Dollar General and go to another store. Please contact me at [protected] and let me know what I should do in the future. Today's date is 12/8/2021.
Desired outcome: Answer letting me know if I should drop Dollar General and go to Family Dollar.
Closing at 5pm every day
Why do you have a DG store in Newbury Ohio if it Closed every day at 5 pm people are just getting off work and can't go shopping the Manager Don't care and the DM could not give a [censored] either because she doesn't like Newbury any ways So why bother having a store there, we need a Store that OPEN and CLEAN and has Workes that's not rude or mean to the costumers
Heartland farms gravy recipe
I opened the bag to pour it into the dog container. It smelled funny, but I just thought it was because it wasn't the brand I usually buy. Tonight I decided to look at the dog food bag as tomorrow is trash day. Low and behold the dog food had expired 9/22/21. Iam not happy to have to run to the store to get another bag of food tonight to feed my two dogs.
Thank you

Discrimination
Hello I was working for dollar general for almost 3 years never missed a day worked hard for this company. My store manager quit after like 13 years with the company so as I was assistant manager so I had to do her job this company had the employees work 8 hours by ourselves and when I went to the district manager and voiced my concerns about this they didn't care they said I was being negative for caring about our safety. I had a meeting with the district manager and she didn't want to help I told her all the stress was making me ill she didn't care as long as the store was open and I also told that someone had a gun in the building and they fired me saying they didn't have to tell me why. Beware when you have worries or concerns they will fire you and not the person in the wrong. She still have a job I also told the district manager when we had our meeting that I felt like I was be discriminated against because I was black.

Disrespectful, verbally abusive employee
This is the 4th time I have contacted Dollar General about an employee who works at the Dollar General store located at 1110 E New York Ave, Deland, Fl 32724 a couple of months ago I ran to the dollar general to pick up some items, when I got to the cash register Taqwante started to check me out, I had a bottle of wine and he said "I'm gonna need your ID" I...

I find it appalling they have workers in on the holidays and they are not getting holiday pay.. its bad enough they are there while everyone else is closed but not to pay them for their inconvenience of the holiday. DG should be closed in my opinion for the holidays. The workers are in the building missing their family and for what regular pay. If it was me i would quit. Walmart treats employees better than this.
Desired outcome: Give workers the day off or double pay
Sale Availability
I sent an email about my issue and received no response and its been two weeks. I saw this complain portal and I am now filing a complaint ot hopefully at least get a response. I am contacting about the advertising that happened for the one day sale on Friday 11/5. I received the ad in my email about this one day sale. The ad was also in all the stores. I went to more than 5 Dollar General stores in my area and none of them had the items for the one day sale. They all had the same excuse that our trucks are behind and we don't have those items. Two of the stores said because of their store remodel their trucks are 3 weeks behind. This is false advertising to advertise a sale and not have the items in the sale. I was very disappointed after visiting several stores that no one had these items that had been advertised. All of the stores apologized for not having the items but this is so unacceptable.
Please advise on this issue and what can be done. The items that I wanted to take advantage of from this one-day sale are below.
Karaoke Microphone in the ad for $6
Vibe Bluetooth speaker with phone cradle in ad for $5
Desired outcome: Items in store and allowed to by them at ad sale price or be given rain checks on items. Don't advertise a sale and not have the items available.
Restroom always out of order
Every time people ask to use the restroom, the employees say its out of order. So for months this store, 31802 hwy.44 Eustis, Florida. The problem hasnt never got fixed. Something needs to be done here so that the customers has a place to use the restroom. How hard is that to do. One of the employees say to go out back and go between the big barrels. Now that's not very professional. Please resolve this matter... Thank you.

They are scanning your license to gather marketing, medical basically any info they can gleen from the bar code on the license.
It is not only morally unethical but illegal for them to gather that info. They say they don't keep that information but that is a complete lie and with a little bit of digging can be easily proven which will result in a massive law suit that they may or may not recover from.
I would say class action would be the way to go.
