I am a 57 year old college educated female that has had a p/c for 12 years, but I feel like an idiot right now. I was reading a news article (CNN) and noticed to the side a story from a "mom" that lives in a town 30 miles from me about fantastic inexpensive teeth-whitening. Her piece was very "down-to-earth" and believable. You order just 2 free trials and pay a very small shipping fee to get snow white teeth. I fell for the SCAM, entered my credit card info, had second thoughts, and clicked on my bank account. In less than one minute, the $1.95 shipping plus $59.95 had been taken from me. I called my bank and was told the charges were pending and nothing could be done until the charges went thru. I called Dazzlewhite and the thief said I would have to return the product, get a tracking number (which requires paying EXTRA postage) before I could CANCEL or get a REFUND! All of this took place in less than TEN MINUTES. You also have a deadline to get it back to them or you'll still be charged!

What kind of country is this? DO NOT ORDER THE FREE TRIAL FROM THESE CROOKS! If this product was so good, they would not stoop to scamming and stealing from honest folks. NEVER AGAIN will I fall for such CONS on the internet! If you order this stuff, you will be sorry and like me...feel like a fool!

My story above (scam, theives, liars) only gets worse! Now they are sending me emails pretending to be the "good" guys to get more personal info from me! Can you believe this? I do believe they change their product name frequently to keep the scam and money flowing. I've found many complaints about products that sound exactly the same, but with other names. Such as: "IvoryBrites", "Max White Teeth", etc. It was confusing to me why I did not find more Dazzlewhite stories. If you Google it, you will find pages of websites that sell/give free trials. Look on the right side of the page where you'll find it listed also under Target, BizRate, & other well known businesses. Click on them...they do not have such a product! It's shoes, clothing with "dazzle" or "white" in the description!

At one point today, there were THREE ads on this page, YES, this page for DAZZLEWHITE. All of this blows my mind. I will say I've learned a big lesson that, God as my witness, will never fall for this trap again. I will say these characters have learned how to get rich fast thanks to the trust of other folks. Please keep the warning going...I'm usually skeptical about even small things, but not anymore. This is sickening to know what some of our country has stooped to.

I sent my 10th email to Dazzlewhite today. As I've said before...these folks are making mega bucks from honest, trusting people. They are a SCAM, CROOKS, LIARS; no better than bank robbers in my opinion. You MUST cancel your bank accounts; the charges will not stop, no matter what you do. I know it's a big pain to do this, but I personally cannot pay these theives $60 every 3-4 weeks for nothing. You can call, email, chat online, return the trial sample unopened...the charges will not stop! Also each person you speak with will promise you no more charges & refunds. Read all the complaints & comments. I have not found ONE that has gotten their refund & all charges stopped. I thought mine was after cancelling my cc, but 3 weeks later on my NEW cc, there it was $58.76. I do not have any of their stupid scam porduct...returned it same day it arrived certified mail, unopened. We must stop these crooks before they leave the country for good. They are using many addresses & names...Dazzlewhite, Ivory Brite, Maxi White, EZ Bright. That's why it's so difficult to stop them. The "mom" with many names that only paid shipping charges for the free trial just happens to live near you because your IP server lets them know where you are online. Very clever, don't you think? It certainly has dooked a lot of very educated citizens, myself included. Please tell anyone that has fallen for this & feels like a fool to please post their complaint. It will help all of us to stop this & possibly get some $$ back!

To SMARTBOI96: I wouldn't hold my breath that you came out without being scammed just yet...I canceled everything as requested, returned product within 14 days of placing order (certified & unopened like I was told to do), and even closed my credit card account, contacted my bank within 10 minutes of placing order, and opened a NEW cc acct after 3 weeks. Guess what? They charged me $58.76 on my NEW cc acct 3 weeks AFTER they signed for my unopened "trial pkg" sent certified mail. Read all the terms you can find...these crooks are scam artists, no matter what they say in an email, online chat, or live on the phone. My bank had to get them off of my back & out of my $$$ when I filed a formal dispute with every detail, email, online chat, and a copy of the folks around the globe that took the time to complain on this website. Maybe you are not one of countless others that did everything in the "terms" and still got charged, but I would keep an eye on my bank account. Read the number of folks that never received a "trial" product to return or got it after the 14 days had pasted. What are they supposed to do? If this product is so great, why do they lie and cheat to keep posting their ads?

To DJ64:
I found the number for you to try and cancel the Axis Wellness: [protected]. Hope this helps, but keep checking your bank statement regularly. I was told by countless online chats, phone calls, and emails that I would receive full refunds, and all "memberships" canceled. But they were all lies. I had to cancel my cc acct and dispute in writing to my bank before these scam artists stopped taking my $$$. I still check it daily, even though this nightmare began in May. Good luck!

To Addie M #1, 2, & 3: I know most of us on this complaint board admitted to being too trusting, and some (including me) acting very foolishly by giving you our personal financial info (which you certainly wasted no time taking advantage of)...but in the last ABOVE THREE comments about how to stop you from robbing us of even more $$$$; you have so cleverly changed your name and phone number! If that doesn't shout SCAM ARTISTS, I do not know what does. Look folks...the company is suddenly called DazzleSMILEpro (instead of Dazzlewhite Pro) and the correct original phone number is: [protected], not [protected].
Addie, I am sure everyone that placed an order for a "free trial" paying merely the shipping charge would much rather have their $$$$ returned, and you can keep YOUR CONCERNS. This website would not exist if you had a good product and ran an HONEST business.

THANK YOU ANATHEMA!

I could not have said it better myself...if you scroll back to the top of page 1, you'll see I started this "complaint" discussion in May. I hate that so many folks followed in my footsteps, but I did find out I was not the only TRUSTING person left on this planet. Without a doubt, there are probably thousands more that have not taken the time or do not want to admit they screwed up by giving these scam artists their personal info. I despise anyone that takes from others dishonestly rather than getting a "real" job. I read these comments daily...many say the same things I did (how do they sleep @ nite, would you like this done to your family member, etc). A big puzzle to me is why GOOGLE prints these complaints day after day for months, yet continue to place their Dazzle ads on this same page time after time! I guess to some $$$ is $$$$ no matter how you get it. But what goes around, comes around.

Att. Andrewlexington
I started this "blog" when I was scammed in May, 2009. Go back to the the first page to read the first complaint. What else do you need to do? First these crooks are fantastic liars...will say anything to get you off the phone or online chat. I did EVERYTHING within minutes of ordering, returned my product registered mail unopened within 30 minutes of it arriving in my box, talked to several reps, emailed, requested countless times for order to be canceled immediately, called my bank & canceled my cc...guess what? Three weeks after I got my NEW cc, they charged me AGAIN! I confirmed with the USPS that the pkg had been received by them, along with hundreds the same day as mine.
You need to contact your bank asap, tell them your card was stolen, and cancel it. Some folks have had to switch banks. I'm telling you this can turn into your worse nightmare. By the way, they are pulling this scam all around the world, not just USA. Good luck, watch your bank acct DAILY, and don't believe anything these thieves tell you.

ATTENTION: Carolyn Y., Stellaa, A. Peachie, Sharon Kopecky...

Do you not ever feel any guilt because you are choosing to take money from innocent, trusting folks that have no idea the nightmare they are stepping into? There is no doubt in my mind that children and elderly people are having to "make do" with less food, clothing, and many other items that they need because of your scam. Innocent little kids and senior citizens that can't hurt a fly doing without because you refuse to find a job that doesn't rob, cheat, or steal from others that have never wronged you in any way. How do you look at yourself in the mirror? Like the person you see?
God has a special place in hell for thieves like you. God doesn't pay every day, but He always pays. Think about that when you put your head on the pillow tonight.

Hello Anderson SC

I am sorry to hear how you got scammed but I have to be honest and ask myself 'what did you expect?' Just because an add appears in the side bar of the CNN web does not mean its legit. CNN, and just about everyone else, are happy to accept the cash for adds that appear on their website. They DO NOT check into whether the ad is a scam or not.

Here is something to keep in mind the next time you are browsing the web.

1. If the story appears to be from someone who lives near you ignore it. All web adds can be written (i.e. coded) to detect the servicing ISP from which you are viewing and the ad can be automatically tailored to make it sound like it is the story of someone local.

2. If the product being offered is being purported to be some NEW secret that nobody else has discovered stay away. Think about it. If you discovered the secret to something and it could be easily sold would you be selling it this way, for NOTHING? Of course not. If nothing else you would call Billy Mays from the Pitchmen and make a few million.

3. If it sounds too good to be true it ALWAYS is. The level of gullability displayed by Americans today is beyond astounding. If we could convert that gullability, and greed, into energy we could supply the worlds needs for centuries. Alas it seems that Americans, due to their insatiable greed for more STUFF, will never break away from this and this is why we are flooded with email scams from Nigeria to make millions, pills to make things grow, pills to make fat melt away in your sleep, pills to deliver the nutrients that we should be getting from our diet, ways to make money from home working 30 minutes a week, etc etc etc.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience--I was about five minutes away from entering my information! I figured if it was a scam, for the 1.95 I wouldn't feel too bad--duh! Didn't think they'd ever charge me for more. Aren't all people honest? hehe

I even did extensive research and googling for "bad" reviews and this was the first I could locate among the probably fake positive and raving reviews on the website as well as a few others that I found suspicious.

This is ridiculous! I couldn't find a report throught hte BBB either, so I believe they're pretty new, another red flag! Uh. I've also come across someone who has said they change the name of the product every so often to avoid BBB reports or when the truth gets out! So keep spreading the word and use common sense Internet users out there!

I also got suckered by these aholes. I guess I got lucky though. I used my paypal debit card with just enough in my account to cover the shipping charge. Now I am doing the dispute process to make them refund the shipping charge.

Be careful, too, because they sign you up automatically for Insided Secrets and eBook. To cancel DazzleWhite you call one number, to cancel Insided Secrets another, and finally eBook another number. If you don't cancel all three, you will be hit by the others. This can really cost you. It is true that to return the product, the cost is all yours! Even if you didn't use it. To the person above who thought we deserved what we got for falling for this scam, please, honest people think others are the same. Unfortunatually, that isn't the case and yes we need to be more careful. Thank you for the information.

I too have been taken by them. I contacted my credit card company and told them to dispute the charge. I didn't receive their product. When I emailed them they said that it was too bad that I didn't work it out with them and went thru my credit card company. In the end they stated that they would be prove there was nothing fraudulent about them. I went on the sight and put in my response and they deleted it off the site. This is such a bogus scam and it's all over the websites. It makes me sick to see it over and over. Someone should take them off the web.

I am usually a real good one at spotting scams online and this one actually got me. I was thinking it was a legit site and my mind just wasn't there at the time. However I turned right around like 1 min later to stop the product from going any further and I haven't seen any pending charges or any for that matter. I just contacted them and asked to stop it. Also a little trick to these things is you have to be 18 to agree to the terms and enter a legal binding contract. I just got younger :-)

Good luck! Fell prey to this scam as well, Ordered 2 whitening products, and currently have several different companies now charging my Credit card. Cancelled both of the whitening products prior to their supposedly free* trial period ran out. No refunds from any of them, and YOU MUST CANCEL WITH EACH AND EVERYONE OF THE COMPANIES, EVEN THOUGH YOU ONLY SIGNED UP WITH 2. They have a Program called AUTO-ENROLLMENT, that signs you up for all sorts of useless things, when you actually think you are only getting a trial amount of their Product. I have spent several hours on the phone and sent numerous emails. All have supposedly been cancelled, but yet Charges to CC continue. Horrible Companies that are scamming People for huge Profits!

Well I got suckered too. I applied for the free trials from both products and have been charged 58.76 and 88.97 respectivly.
So I called both companies and cancelled my membership. Dazzlewhite said I could return the product for a full refund. (But yes I need the tracking #) the address they gave me to send back was DazzleWhite P.O. Box 1023 Des Moines Iowa 50381. They did give me my order Number which also needs to be sent with the product.

The other Co (Whitening Brites) Sent out the refill package 11 days after they sent the 1st package. I hadn't even had 15 days in which to try their product before they sent the next shipment and charged the 88.97. I am in email communications with them trying to return the refill for a full refund.
WHAT A BUNCH of Crapola! Oh yes and they said they would compromise and only charge me 39.00 due to the misunderstanding as i did not cancel within the 15 day free trial period.

All right - I got scammed too and I never get scammed. I won't bore you with details - very similar to the accounts above. But here's the biggest outrage to me:
After my fight w/ DazzleWhite (and returning unopened product via certified mail, and 15 phone calls, etc.), they did credit me the $59.85. Then I find a later charge for $7.14 for something called "Membership" which turns out to be some affiliate offer they auto-enroll you in. I called my CC company to charge it back. They contacted the "Membership" company and cancelled it for me, but said I would not get a refund on that charge because it was legitimate! I said "No way - I NEVER ordered that and it didn't mention it on the web site". They said "Oh yes it does - go to dazzlewhite.com, click "Terms and Conditions" way on the bottom, then scroll down to section 5. A. (Access Services) and you can read all about it!"
Why not throw in a $500 handling surcharge too while you're at it in micro-print? I know - they're scammers, but isn't this fraud from the CC company's point of view? You've got to be kidding.

I also was taken in by this scam! I feel like such an idiot, especially since I am usually so leary of anything like this. Especially when it comes from the internet. I only wish now that I had googled Dazzle White prior to placing my order. I received the product and tried it out, it burnt my lips. So obviously Im going to return it. I also have a pending charge for $58.76 which, when I called the company the first time, I was told would not be charged if I canceled within the first three weeks. Well as soon as my product arrived I called to cancel and was told that I had to return the product, at my cost! I was also informed that I would still be charged for the first month since its a free trial and not a free product. How am I suppose to participate in the free trial if product is not included? The shipping address I have now is
PO Box 10233
Des Moines IA 50381

I plan to send this back certified in order to track it and to watch my bank account very closely.

There is another similar scam out there right now for Smile Brite so watch out for that one!

[redacted]s.com also has a bunch of complaints on these scammers.

All of you scammed that live near the HQ for Mediatrust need to run a protest rally at their building, get the press involved.

MediaTrust
404 Park Avenue South 2nd Floor
New York NY 10016
Phone: 1.877.987.8785

As a result of the protest rally and press coverage, you will attract the interest of some trial lawyers to start a national class action lawsuit. These lawyers will only act when they see a big rally turnout, thus a taste of the big prize.

Another way to immediately identify a scammer business, when they use a toll free number as their HQ main number, not a local number. The BBB only tracks businesses by their use of a local exchange telephone number. By using a toll free number, the BBB will never find them. You can ask the NY BBB to start a file on them if one does not exist, be sure to explain why or it won't happen.

Today, any so called "free trial, just pay postage and handling" offer is in fact a scam, far too many to count out there that are in fact setting you up to skim your bank account. All of us need to see these free trial offers for what they really are, as many of you have been ripped off from. I almost ordered it, luckily a little voice told me to do a quick net search of the product & the word scam to see what would come back. We need to get in the habit of searching on any product we buy under the term "scam" to be sure of what we are getting ourselves into. Like the Acai Berry suppliments that are supposed to slash weight by removing the stuff from gummed up intestines, another massive scam as reported by Consumer Reports.

Hope no one still believes that there is a big government grant out there for your credit card debts!

Well, another sucker bites the dust! I figured I better add my 2 cents as well. Here's my story. I ordered the Dazzlewhite and the SmileBrite trial products. I paid the $1.95 shipping for each and received a e-mail confirming the $1.95 charges were taken out of my checking account. Nothing was mentioned about the $58.76 that they also took out on a different transaction.

When I called to complain they explained to me that I couldn't get my money back until I had returned the trial size. Now let me clear up the misconception of this trial size. It's not what you think, it's actually a 30 supply and the charge for that is $58.76. You get 14 days to return the product or they run the full charge through your account in the meantime it's pending and unavailable to you.

Okay, on with the story. I called Dazzlewhite customer service but they were gone for the day, so I went on their website to their live chat. After about 1 hour of going back and forth with the agent I was told that my membership was cancelled and no more charges would be added to my account. In order for me to get back the $58.75 they already charged me I would have to return the product before my 14 day trial was up. I called the bank and tried to stop this charge but was told that the only way I could do that was to wait for the transaction to complete and dispute the charges. When I checked my account today low and behold I found there was a 3rd charge from DazzleWhite for another $58.75.

So now to recap, I ordered a trial size product which turned out to be a full sized product. In two days this company has charged my account $121.42 of unauthorized withdrawals for 2 supposed trial size tubes of toothpaste. I had to put a hold on my debit card so no more charges could be run through ( I also can't use it) and as soon as the transaction goes through I can dispute the charges through my bank in hopes of getting reimbursed. Oddly enough they are the frauds and I have to go through all this because they have my debit card and information and can continue to run charges through my account at will (FYI, that's what the lady told me in the fraud division of my bank), which is what they have done and would have continued to do if I hadn't called the fraud Department and insisted that they flag my account. I think the only way to make sure they don't do this to me on a continuous basis is to wait for these charges to go through, dispute them and while I'm waiting for my response open a new checking account and close my current one when this resolves.

By the way, on top of all of this I was automatically signed up with 5 other membership accounts all on automatic shipment schedules! I had to cancel each separately using separate phone numbers the hold time was unbelievable! I think I have now cancelled all my memberships and I'm only facing a loss of $121.42.

But guess what? They money they took was my grocery money for the next week and a half! Now I don't have money to buy groceries, I have no debit card, and I'm facing all this about crap over a stupid trial sized tube of toothpaste. It seemed innocent enough. YEA RIGHT!

I too must tell all who read this I was also scammed by Dazzlewhite. Thank goodness my credit card company caught it & shut off the credit card. I ahd signed up for the 4.95 trial size and was not only charged that but then they immediately charged me another 58.76 which I did not authorize. The credit card company has closed the card number and refused payment of any and all charges. I feel soooo stoopid I got caught in this scam! Lesson learned the hard way, but at least it ahs not cost me any money, just some embarassment. Ron S.

Man, I feel lucky. I was placing my order for the "free trial", typed in my credit card information and right before I pushed the "confirm" button I decided to do a Google search for DazzleWhite. 2 minutes later I closed the browser window without confirming. Whew... *wipes sweat off brow*

I got scammed too :( I am so pissed and embarrassed. I called them and they told me that I have to send the item back within the 60 days through certified mail and request for a tracking number (which requires extra postage!). I hope after I did what they asked, I will get a refund and I will not get any further charges from Dazzle White, and any other third parties they are associated with. All I hope for now is to get the refund, and not have to change my account number and get a new credit card. I have learned my lesson. Never again will I trust ANY advertisements on the internet. It sickens me to know that there are people like this in the world.

Alas, add me to the list of suckers who fell for this. I usually don't. Just goes to show how clever they are. Extremely frustrating.

Also the fine print even tries to protect them from class action lawsuits... OMG! They know where this is going before you even hit the button.

Have anyone sent back the item, got refunded the money, and DID NOT get any further charges from Dazzle White and any other 3rd parties (at least 4 weeks later)?

I ordered Dazzle White on 6/12. Canceled everything the same night I found out that I had a pending transaction of $58.76. Got charged $3.24 from "Insider Secrets" on 6/26. Then I recently got charged $58.76 on 7/02/09 AFTER I canceled the same day I ordered (which was 2 weeks later!). My goodness! I also called "Comprehensive Weight Loss" and canceled them too before they decide to charge me $7.14 for their e-books. Now I hope the $7.14 will not get charged to my account because I canceled them before I see any charges from "Comprehensive Weight Loss" done to my account.

I am in the process of returning the item to them. I couldn't call my bank today because it's Independence Day, so I have to wait till Monday to reach them and talk to them concerning this issue. What do you think they'll do? Will they reimburse my money? Will they tell me to send the item back and wait to see what happens? Anyone who have dealt w/ the bank please share your experience. I also heard that some customers closed their account, opened a new one, and still see charges from Dazzle White. Tell me this is not true. I just want to get out of this ASAP.

We all have enough stress and problems to deal with in our lives. We do not need anymore additional stress and inconveniences.

I also got scammed by Dazzlewhite, I got charged 59.95 plus the 1.95 shipping for the FREE Sample.I also got charged by two other companies Inside Secrets and E book for weight loss.I thought I was just getting a free sample and was just to pay shipping. I am going to have to remember what my Mother always said if it sounds to good to be true it is! I will never order anything else when I see someone lying about how great something worked for them. The person that tells that should be ashamed of herself for lying.

Report these Dazzlewhite Pro Teeth scam folks to the FTC and IC3 (FBI Internet Crimes Division)

www.FTC.gov (click on file a complaint)

www.IC3.gov

and to the Attorney General of your state.

Then go to your bank or card company and get them to do a CHARGEBACK - your bank /card issuer will get your money back from the scammers this way.
