Crunch Fitness Pregnancy

I called back in December to cancel my membership because I became pregnant and I wasn’t using the membership anymore. The person I spoke to which name I can not remember since it was in the beginning of December, told me she usually is not allowed to do this but that she would send me a cancellation form via email. Cancellation form I never received and couldn’t get out of my home cause I also had COVID. Since December I had paid almost 100 dollars more in membership and they are still trying to charge me more even tho I was promised my account was going to be cancelled. Now they claim I need to pay tow more months for the membership to be cancelled. What is this? I have the documents from when I signed up and pregnancy was one of the requirements to cancel the membership.

Desired outcome: I need my membership cancelled now. And I don’t want to keep paying inessesaru money that I can actually use for something more useful my my baby instead of spending it at a gym that has no values and is full of incompetente employees.

Crunch Fitness Staff person

Tonight I called the Crunch gym in Orillia Ontario. Rhonda was beyond rude to me. Hanging up twice and then not answering the phone. My call was to change my membership. She cut me off before I could finish what I wanted to say. Then hung up. Never answered the phone until I had called back with no caller ID. She then hung up again and told me I was swearing at her and that I was so rude. She told me there was no manager to speak to but when I drove to the gym 20 min away, the manager was there and Rhonda had told him a bunch of lies and so he (who is usually nice) was also very curt. I am shaking I am so upset.

Desired outcome: I would like to speak to the owner of the franchise as well as the general manager Jen Vasey.

This is typical of every almost every person with whom I have dealt at Crunch Gym, I believe this type of personality is who they look to hire. As for managers, they are either never there or never available or will call back, which they never do. I am also on a crusade to let every member know they should not be going to that gym, they use deceptive and illegal business practices. Good luck to you!

Crunch Fitness Cancellation Policy

Bad policy concerning Crunch Fitness cancellation. I just cancelled my membership (haven't used in 6-7 months) but due to the 30-day notice policy, not only would I have to pay the following month's fee (which I was cool with) but I also have to pay the annual fee for the upcoming year as well (which I am not cool with because I am not renewing my membership). Already spoke to S. Tampa and was told I had to pay. New York Corporate confirmed this as well. I am going to pay but be aware! of this BAD POLICY if your yearly renewal happens anytime near your cancellation.

The yearly (monthly also) fee will not be charged. Remember, the yearly renewal fee was the only charge disputed but the monthly fee, I would have paid due to their 30-day cancellation policy. They went beyond what I asked for by not charging both.

Crunch Fitness Noise level

I starting working out at Crunch Fitness in Cape Coral Florida about two weeks ago. The gym is new and the staff is good. Problem I have is working out Sat Jan 15th I had to leave before my workout was complete. The overhead music was so loud I started to have tinnitus. I had my ear pods in which usually make it better but on that day I couldn't even hear the news. If the music was a result of the class that was going on at that time people are soon to started noticing a reduction in their ability to hear. As for my wife and myself If this is going to continue we will look for a different facility to work out at.

It is the same in San Angelo Texas. Only this is at 3:00 am. The other issue, is there is only one type of music. Some of older members would actually enjoy something mixed in from 80’, 90’s. It shouldn't be only one type music for one type crowd. How about being inclusive of everyone.

Crunch Fitness Harassment and illegal charges

In July 2020, I physically went into the Crunch Fitness at 2999 N Lakeharbor Lane, Boise 83703 (T: 208.297.3073) to end my gym membership.

A young woman was at the desk, I explained that I was ending my membership and she stated she could help me. She looked up my membership and, what to me looked like, she entered some information. After a brief moment she told me that my membership had been cancelled. I left the fob (used to check in) with her and went back to my vehicle. At the time, my sister was with me, but did not go into the building with me.

I realized that my membership fee was still being charged to my account. I made several attempts to contact Crunch Fitness. I sent in a form to complain. No reply. In desperation, I contacted my bank and stopped all payments.

Finally Crunch Fitness contacted me - but only to demand payment. I told the individual on the phone that I had rescinded my membership. She said that she had no record of it. I explained that that was not my error, but someone at their site did not enter the information in correctly. I was told that I could now not close my membership because I owed them money.

Then the harassment began and they called night and day. Finally I received a letter from Aldous and Associates stating that as a debt collector I must pay $329.10.

The Crunch Fitness contract I signed clearly stated that I could end my membership at any time without payment. At the time I rescinded my membership, I was in good standing. And in fact, I was charged and paid for August and September.

This is fraudulent billing. It is not my error that the individual at the front desk did not complete the closure accurately. But I was told by her that there were no other steps necessary and that my membership had been cancelled.

While my sister was not in the building with me, she was with me in the car when I went in for the 10 minutes and she was aware of what I was doing - as she had also cancelled her membership earlier in the week.

I have looked up the complaints against Crunch, and I am apparently not the only one that has gone through this harassment. This seems to be a common practice.

Desired outcome: Refund the payments charged since August and call off the debt collectors

Crunch Fitness memebership

I am a guy who had a job at Crunch fitness and i signed a paper for cancellation with Crunch fitness. I pad up to the last month. Only to call them about 1 weak ago to find they are charging me $30.00 dollars when the bill should should have been only $9.00.00 dollars. They is a whisper going around through the subsidairies of every business in the world to hire employers that want to get over on me as hateful grudges con artistes. They world of business owners are upset because i blew up as a world buffoon and they illegal showed interference by selling my notion clandestinely without permission as to represent dirty bandit behavior.

Crunch Fitness They illegaly took out more than $2500 CAD from my bank account, even after my cancelation of membership

My name is Preetpal Singh. I ended my contract of membership with crunch fitness in Dec 2020 and they kept charging me till late May. And I tried to call them hundred time but they never gave me a satisfying response.
Finally when I got hold of someone they said they will issue a refund which I never received.

Next thing I know they [censored]ing cashed out more than$2500 cad, and never gave me my refund. It's absolutely ridiculous and harrasment. It's been more than 9months and this fraudulent company never gave me my refund.

Crunch Fitness Account Cancelled and Card Taken From Me But Account is Still Late

In January 2021, me and my wife went to the Glenside Drive (Richmond, VA) Crunch gym to cancel our memberships. The lady at the counter took our names and my membership card from me and told us, that is all we have to do. Our membership is billed/paid automatically through our credit cards. The were 2 charges for 01/10/2021 and 02/08/2021. Then the charges stopped for both my and my wife's credit cards.

I just received a Collection notice from First Credit Services Inc that my account is due and late and they are trying to collect from me.

I want to know WHY my account is late/due when I PERSONALLY went to Crunch to cancel my membership AND my membership card was already taken from me. This NOT ACCEPTABLE and UNETHICAL

Crunch Fitness Regarding hours

I signed up to the this gym mainly regarding the 24 hr. Availability. I work off hour and need the flexibility. But the state of emergency has been lifted for some time. Now
The hours remain cut very early closing on weekend 6pm.
The Hudson ma location continue to state it is corporate decision, but New York City location are back open 24.
I will not be resigning my membership
And I have good experience with the gym

Crunch Fitness Employee Intimidation

About 3 weeks ago the Lead Trainer was working the front desk and tried to use intimidation (including of a physical nature). I followed this up with a one on one with the manager and during that meeting he demonstrated empathy and understanding and seemed to genuinely want to help. Two and a half weeks later he then accused me of trying to threaten him. I understand that employees want to look out for each other and that at a gym there is an abundance of testosterones but that shouldn't be an excuse for what occurred. I have been a member for about 5 years and have never had anything remotely close to negative occurring. It has been an enjoyable experience. I am 67 years old and weigh about 140lbs.
Upon running my app through the reader, the head or lead trainer (Leon) informed me that I will need a towel in order to work out. I said, ok, I will bring one starting tomorrow. He said that wasn't good enough and I told him that I don't have one. He said we have some and you can buy one from me. I said I don't want to buy one and I will bring one tomorrow. May I go work out now. He said no, you must have one. I told him I understand the towel requirement but I should have been given some warning. I go there 4 to 5 days a week and was never informed about that. The person working the desk (Olivia) confirmed that what I said was true and that I was never informed. He said that's basically not his problem and that I can't work out without one. I was now getting upset and said, you mean to tell me that I came all the way out here to exercise and I'm a paying member and you're refusing to allow me to stay and workout and he said yes. He then asked if I had a shirt or something else in my car that I could use. I thought that was just ridiculous and actually though of taking off my shirt (I didn't) and saying here is my towel. I told let him know that this was not right and that I will address this. I went to my car and found a scarf and used that. He then allowed me to go in. As I was entering I asked Olivia if she had ever informed me that a towel was needed and she said no she hadn't and all of a sudden Leon stood in between her and I and stuck out his chest and said, you're talking to me not her. I was shocked. I told him that I'm done with him and that I can talk to anyone I choose to. He then got closer and started repeating, you gonna workout or what...you gonna workout or what..., at least four times.
After my workout I spoke with Olivia and asked her if I what she thought of the situation and she said that Leon did not handle that well at all.
I met with the manager (a day or two later) and told him what had occurred. He was attentive and sympathetic and seemed to want to address the situation. He promised to keep me informed (I asked him that repeatedly) and he readily agreed each time. He assured me that he would investigate this and also talk to Olivia and that Leon had come to see him on this already. I thanked him and left.
I waited a couple of weeks and then tried to hook up with the Manager (Will) but he was busy so it took a few times. When I finally did catch up to him he had absolutely no recollection of who I was and what my issue was. During our first meeting he did not take any notes. He asked me to remind him why I was there. I reminded him of the incident with Leon and he couldn't recall for some time. I also told him that I had left him multiple notes asking him to let me know what is going on. He ignored all of them. Finally he had an aha moment and he said he remembers now. He said that he hasn't had a chance to address the situation because he is so busy. I was shocked because this should have been treated with priority because of the potential of physicality being involved. He said I guess your mad but get in line. As a manager I have many people mad at me and you just can't make everyone happy. I was falling deeper into a state of disbelief and was getting angry. He actually accused me of threatening him (I am 67 years old and less than 140lbs). I said you've got to be kidding me. Then I said so are you telling me that you won't be doing anything about this and he said, I didn't say that. I said will you be doing something? He said he can't because Leon is in the hospital. I asked him why didn't you inform me like you promised and he said he can't share employee information. I replied, but you just did so what's going on here. Are you going to investigate or not? I also said you never even talked to Olivia, and he replied that he did talk to her on the day I complained. I looked him in the eye and said why are you lying to me? I've been asking Olivia if she had been questioned by anyone and she said no I haven't. I never asked her what she would have said, only if anyone had spoken with her. So now I have a manager who not only doesn't care but one who lies to my face. He looked down at his feet when I confronted this lie. I turned to leave and said I will be going to corporate with this because this is unacceptable. He smiled and said have a great day.
I have stopped going to the gym because I am now feeling threatened by both Leon and Will.
I would like to be kept informed throughout any process that might occur due to this complaint. Including any written correspondence and or disciplinary actions.

Desired outcome: A free transfer to the Cerritos gym and disciplinary actions as appropriate.
