exploits loyal customer
I had taken my truck into the Tire Kingdom at 121 NW 40th Street (location #32) in Boca Raton, FL to be serviced for a vibration issue. The front desk personnel and mechanics notified me that the vibration would be resolved after they balance the tires and perform brake repairs to the rear wheel cylinders.
Three Hundred and Fifty dollars later, the diagnosis and services performed by Tire Kingdom did not correct the vibration issue. After which, I brought my vehicle to a privately owned auto service company to correctly identify and repair my truck for the vibration issue. They were able to accurately diagnose and resolve the problem; the vibration was being caused by a missing right/ front caliper bolt and damaged u-joints. As determined by the mechanics, the services that Tire Kingdom performed had nothing to do with the vibration.
I feel that the repairs and service from Tire Kingdom were not only unnecessary, but were performed with the premise of exploiting as much capital as possible out of a loyal customer. This experience has left me in severe discontent and I feel that Tire Kingdom has taken advantage of me.
Furthermore, I contacted Tire Kingdom's corporate headquarters to try and resolve this situation. After a month of attempting to communicate with Tire Kingdom's upper management, it became clear that the entire company has a disregard for customer value. Needless to say, management could not resolve the in-store service issues, nor did the Tire Kingdom offer any type of reimbursement or compensation for their service related downfalls.
won't honor discount coupons sold to me
A tire kingdom sales rep recently visited my place of business and offered a coupon book for services for $30. It looked like a good deal so I bought one. About a week later I went to the tire kingdom (110) in melbourne, fl. To use one of the oil change coupons. After a few minutes I was approached by the mechanic and was told that they would be unwilling to change my oil since there was some oil on the bottom of my engine. Of course they offered to change out my oil seals for several hundred dollars. I asked them to just change the oil, but they refused. I later contacted their customer service at the home office about this scam. I could not believe the result. Not only did they do nothing about my complaint, but the manager of this store called me and lectured me because I had called their customer service department. It is hard for me to believe that this company is still in business! Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere for your tires and services.
I am glad I came across this because I was going to check them out on some tires, sounds like this manager is in for a knuckle sandwich.

false advertising
I own a 2005 chrysler pacifica, with the touring package option, because of this option the tire sizes are 235x55x19. Hard to find a competitively priced tire. Today during the rush limbaugh radio show tire kingdom advertizes a sale of a new tire (I did not get the name of the tire), any size $79.00 each. So needing 4 tires I call tire kingdom and am told even though the add says any tire size they tell me the sales price is only for specific rim sizes and of course the 19"rims are not the standard rims size. Then they proceed to tell me they can get me 4 tires on sale for $1, 100.00. That's one heck of a sale. Since when does any tire size mean specifc or standard type rims? Any size sale to me means any size thayt means 19" rims. That is false advertising. My next e-mails are to the better business bureaus in both sarasota and manatee county, florida. False, false, false advertising - fantastic bait and switch. This is just wrong.
wrong job done
My car had a power steering fluid and a right axel problem. When I went to the shop to get my car fixed, I asked stanley a. Tomlin to drive the car to detect the problem. He asked the mechanic to put the car on the lift without driving it. He changed two front suspensions and after that, the mechanic told me to go to chrysler to recall the power steering...

I currently work for tire kingdom. I feel horrible for what I want to tell all of you. I try hard each day to live a life of honesty. I love my family and I try to treat others the way I want to be treated. I work in the shop and previously worked in sales. I have been with the company for over a year now. Sad to say, I have yet to find an honest manager who does not constantly force their employees to perform dishonest work on customers cars. Its not just one car here and there. The dishonesty is daily. Not only one store, but every store I have worked at. Employees are threatened with their jobs. We cant speak to the district manager and its impossible to go up the chain of command to actually get someone to hear you without being in fear of your job because you are the whistle blower. Employees are told to overlook and disregard inspections so that the sales person or manager can make the sale or the numbers. The company spends alot of money for employees to go hear paul grady properly train us. When we get back to the shop, then we are told to forget what paul said and forget the training because now we are in the real world. I hope one day someone will find a way to fight the monster (tire kingdom) and get results. Tire kingdom is stealing from its customers and employees. When will it stop? Please, I beg each of you to stay away from tire kingdom or at least get a second opinion on your vehicle.

Agree. After dealing with Tire Kingdom over 20 plus years - its the same story. After 1 bad experience I decided to give them the benefit of doubt only to have to have another bad experience. You can NEVER go in there for just tires. It's always the same story - you need brakes - you need shock absorbers, etc. At Ft. Lauderdale store - (1991) went in for 2 front tires - was told I needed brakes. I expressed I only wanted tires. Guess what - they broke my rotor - now I had no choice but to get new rotor for brakes. One way or another they will get you! Skip forward 19 years. One front tire needed & my friend said he will take care for me. I said to go anywhere EXCEPT Tire Kingdom. Yes - he went to Tire Kingdom of all places. While on phone with him - I over hear them tell him that he needs brakes & all new tires. Told him to get out of there. Too late - he already purchased tire. $180.00 later for 1 tire. Called around for prices - every where else $120.00. No one goes unscathed at Tire Kingdom.
They are still ripping people off 20 years later. Nothing will ever change with them. They are notorious for selling unneeded repairs. Please boycott them.

Wow... only a ### would think a 19" tire would cost 79bucks. If it seems too good to be true it is, next time read the fine print.
put the wrong size tires
My husband and I recently purchased 2 new tires from the Tire Kindom on Woodruff Rd. in Greenville, SC. I started noticing a really loud whining noise coming from the front end of my car. It got so bad that we took it to our mechanic. After being with out a car for over a week, my mechanic said that our front end had to be totally re-done due to them putting the wrong size tires on our car. It is a 2001 Ford Explorer. The damage so far is $950.00. They are admitting to putting on the wrong size tires but taking no responsiblity for the front end. Our Mechanic consulted with another as well as Ford and all three concluded it was due to the wrong size tires (by 3 inches) being put on our car. We will be suing as we were told the rear end will have to be done as well. They suck and are so horrible! BEWARE!
misleading customers
Do not let Tire Kingdom take advantage of you. Do not take their word that you have a problem with your care. They do a fine job with the tires and that should be it. They do not make much profit in the tires the real profit comes in the extra servives they try to offer. I recently took my Explorer in for a tire rotation and oil change. When they were finished i was informed taht my rotors are warped and the brake pads are worn unevenly. I was given an estimate of $720 to replace the rotors and pads. I said that was strange because I have not felt any vibration while braking. I was assured that there was diffently a problem. I told them the price was too high and I could not get the work done, I recieved a phone call 10 minutes later and the price dropped to $610. Still too high. I stopped at an auto parts store and bought the rotors and pads for $170 and did the work myself. I took the rotors and pads to a mechanic, the rotors are fine, there was some difference in thickness between the ibside pad and outside pad. To sum this up Tire Kingdom tries to make money on the extra services, there is 100% mark up in parts. They were trying to charge me $150 per rotor not including labor. They are oppurtunistic company and will try to take advantage of an individual.

fraudulent selling of uneeded repairs
Lately, every time I got to Tire Kingdom I am assailed with every kind of unneeded repair a persaon can imagine. I hate to go to Tire Kingdom because I will have to have an ugly confrontation over repairs that I don't need at ridiculous prices. Most recent one was $796.00 for tie rod ends and shock absorbers. Independent mechanic says neither repair needed.
This happens every time I go to Tire Kingdom. I could take in a brand new 2010 car and they would tell me I need tie rod ends and shock absorbers.
A visit to Tire Kingdom is stressful. The worse the economy gets the more repairs my car needs.
The fact that it's close to home was a good thing, right?! Wrong! Doesn't really matter, because today I went to one in PalmHarbor, and guess what, they tried to sell me everything under their roof! Don't even want to go pick it up! But, I'm on my way :(
I couldn't put it any better than Roman did! I soooo agree! Going thru the same today! No more Tire kingdom! I'm done with them!
dishonest rip off
These guys are completely dishonest I took my car in for an oil change and rotation and balance (my car was running great no problems at all) Obvioulsy take advantage of women
I had purchased my tires through them so i get the free rotation and balance...Richard the manager told me I needed two new front tires that I had hit something and they were damaged and no warranty would be offered. I took my car to Discount Tire where I was told only tired was defective and there was no way I could have done it...they got me a me a pro rated new tire at a third of what Tire Kingdom wanted from me and balanced and rotated for free and said they would continue to do so for me for all tires lifetime
On top of that they sent me a $3000.00 estimate of misc work they claimed needed to be done, after having several guy friends review it was a complete sham. I had been in there 6 months before for the same service and they called saying I needed a new serpentine belt that mine was about to go and wanted to charge me approx 350 to replace it...again consulted male friends they said it was way too much, I picked up car called other mechanics recommended and they were half to a quarter of what Tire Kingdom wanted and .nce I took it in to a mechanic and thankfully he was honest andttold me my belt was in great shape did not need replaced...and on the estimate they gave me 6 months later they dont mention the faulty belt on the new estimate
When I picked car up they told me it was extremely danagerous to drive on bad tire when I replied I had no money to replace at the time they said well you better get someone to put on spare (noone there offered to do it) Discount Tire said although tire was not in great shape unless I hit pot hole in particular angle it wouldnt have blown
Needless to say I will not be going back there regardless of the free lifetime rotation and balance.
I took my car in for oil change and tire balance and rotation, I purchased my tires there two years ago. The manager called me and said my front two tires needed to be replaced that I had damaged them by running over or hitting something, and my struts were going bad so that may also cause the problem Since I did not purchase road hazard I would have pay full price for two new tires.
On top of that they sent me a quote for over two thousand dollars worth of work that needed to be done (my car runs fine absolutely no problems) and my boyfriend and boss reviewed and said was ridiculous at what they listed and what the charges would be and what is ironic about this is the last time I took it in for service they said I needed a new serpentine belt asap and the charge would be approx $300.00 I declined the service called other mechanic referred to me he quoted me a third of the price and when he looked at it said it was fine didnt need to be replaced...now on the newest quote Tire Kingdom doesnt even mention this belt that I never had changed that they said was so deteriorated previously
I did not have them change out my tires and when I picked up the car they said they could not believe I was driving my car on the tires how dangerous it was I replied what should I do since I can not afford it they replied get someone to put on the spare with no offer to put it on for me As you can see they were certainly not looking out for my safety
So i then took my car to another place to get second opinion, first only one tire needed to be replaced but mostly they said there was no way I couldve done that damage and the tire was in fact defective..they were able to contact tire manufacturer and give me a new tire at a prorated price obviously much lower than Tire Kingdom wanted to charge me
I also have had problems with my brakes since they did them they first said it was my fault and only after me being very aggresive did they fix
Lastly my boss just called to inquire about their trying to pull all of this over on me spoke to the manager and he said "sir I asked your wife for your cell number several times so I could go over this with you and she would not give to me she said you were on vacation" that conversation never took place and when he was told my tire was indded defective I had done nothing wrong Tire Kingdom had nothing to say.
awful service
All I can say is I've been a customer of the State Road 7 and New England store for years and I've had it. They can absolutely not multi task at all. If you need more than one thing done you have about a 30 percent chance the remaining items will be done. 90 percent of the time you will have to revisit for either forgotten work or faulty work.
They get your repeat business by selling lifetime rotation and balance or alignment and then sell unneeded repairs and parts on your return visit. There is also a pattern that if you stay with your car they won't try and sell you anything for fear you may inspect. BUT if you drop off you will get a call that something else is needed. They bet you won't come over to inspect and will just approve the repair. It's to the point I think I have replaced/repaired everything on my 60, 000 mile car they are capable of repairing.
I habve had work that was charged for and not performed and if it is performed something is always loose or incorrect.
I am done with Tire Kingdom. I will try AA Roadway which was referred by AAA on their web site.
rip off - cheats
I needed two new front tires since they were badly balding and one had the inside of the tire coming out. I couldn't afford to buy 2 new tires so I asked my parents to help me out. They live 100 miles away so I couldn't exactly drive that far on bad tires. I initially wanted to go to Goodyear since my back tires are Goodyear and they seemed trustworthy (then again they dealt with my boyfriend). So I asked them to send me a check or put money in my account since I didn't want any car service places knowing my parents were helping me (didn't want to get ripped off). But, my parents refused to do that and instead told me to go to Tire Kingdom since they were having the "New set of tires for half price" deal. It was set up so they could pay for it at the Tire Kingdom near them. I wasn't comfortable with this, but my parents weren't concerned.
Well, I bring my car in and, lo and behold, I get a call telling my battery is dead; they claimed that it wouldn't even jump start. That's so odd since I haven't had a problem with my battery at all. Of course, the first thing out of the managers mouth is, "Do you want to call your parents to tell them what's going on?". And, since my parents didn't want me to go without my car, they paid for a new battery... on top of a new set of tires. I was obviously an easy target... young girl who's daddy, who wasn't there, was paying for everything.
My boyfriend went with me to pick up my car (to make sure everything was actually taken care of) and since I had paid for an oil change, he questioned the manager if I actually got the oil change since he saw the mechanic simply pour the oil. The manager, instead of explaining they were topping it off, got a serious attitude with said boyfriend and asked "Are you serious?". Then attempted to belittle my boyfriend by saying "I take it you dabble in cars?" (my boyfriend used to work as a mechanic and wanted to make sure I wasn't getting more ripped off). I am never bringing my car there again.

scam
I am the wife of a 5 ase certified technician. I am very upset over this new flat rate system. My husband has been in this field for over 20 years and does the best work he can do for tire kingdom.
He works 50+ hours a week and is now making less money then before.
I know now that this company does not care about there employees, they've proven that. You've increased your store hours, your opened on Sundays and there are very few paid holidays.
I wish they would work side by side for a couple of weeks with a tech.just to see how back breaking it is, how they get cuts and burns, and the grease is so embedded in there skin that nothing takes it off. They are out in the heat, and cold as well. You try working in 90 degree weather and work on a car that engine just got shut off (the heat is unbearable).
Since this new flat rate went into effect my husband, on average makes a good $200 -$500 less than if it was still commission. It is causing alot of financial problems with my family.
We were struggling before this and now it's worse. We are down to 1 car, our other one was repossessed because we couldn't make the payments, and we are fighting to keep our home that we've had for 12 years. When he takes home only $1182. after working 2 weeks and our mortgage alone is $1200.that gives us(which is a family of 4) just about a $1000 a month to pay all other bills, groceries etc. IT'S NOT WORKING!
There is no going out to any fast food restaurant or steak for dinner in this house.
Even the morale in the shop is bad. I wish you higher ups could see what your doing to the men who work very hard for you.The district manager comes by and says keep up the good work, well that doesn't put food on the table or pay our bills. I wish you would come up with a better way to pay your employees.
I know the economy is bad but you found a way to take more money from your workers so your life style doesn't change and that's truly not fair.
My husband comes home and is very stressed over how little money he made and he hates the fact of going to work the next day only to work another 11 hours to make little money. It is putting a strain on our relationship and our family as well.
I truly hope that someone reads this that can make a difference as to what is going on.
Managers and service managers don't care, they are only interested in there weekly pay and there BONUSES. So if they cut some of the techs flat rate hours to get it that's what they do. So much goes on in the shops that you don't know about or don't care to know.
How store managers leave much earlier then there suppose to...then go in the next day and change there time. Or there to lazy to even try to sell recommendations on the estimate slip...then the otherworkers out front get mad at the boss so they don't do it either. It's like a big soap opera at times.
My husband has worked on cars and the part is defected only to have to do it again, or worked on cars that someone else did and not get paid.
But let him mess up and right away the manager will take flat rate time from him.
You want DNA's and PMA's and check this and do that but what do you pay your tech for doing all this?
Please...something has to give...you bet I'm mad...stressed, tired, worried, and most of all scared.
I went to the Tire Kingdom on West Colonial Drive on an AAA flatbed. Both my right tires had blown out, and I needed help. The manager quoted me $211 estimate, and that is what I initialed. I requested that they put the tires in the trunk. 1 hour later, the manager called and led me to believe that they could not fix the tires without fixing the shocks and break pads, too. I didn't understand why, but I didn't want my breaks to blow out on I-4, either, so I said ok, how much? He quoted me then $1100 plus the tires.
Five hours later, I left with a $1400 bill, half of which I did not understand. I left the tires on their showroom floor, because I was charged with the tire disposal fee, on top of a warranty I never asked for, and magically inflated fees.
I went to work the next day, and explained to a male coworker what had occurred. He got mad, and called on my behalf, and spoke to the same manager. He was an absolute ***!
Ladies: please be advised, unless you are in the most dire straights possible, do not take your cars to Tire Kingdom! I was taken advantage of, and you will be, too!
YUP, THEY ARE THE BIGGEST RIP OFF, SCAM ARTIST AROUND!
5 ase...find another job. It's that simple. No one's making him stay. And yes TK sucks, but his decision to stay is his decision.
Comments in this email message are in reference to service performed at FL Tire Kingdom number 185, located at 11630 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32223, Invoice number [protected]-RI, 06/02/2011.
On June 2nd, 2011, I dropped my wife's car (1994 Ford Probe) off at my local Tire Kingdom for an oil and oil filter change and to have the tires rotated and balanced. This was at around 1:00pm, and I informed the service rep, Tiffany, that the wheel lock key for wheel removal was in the glove box and that she could call me when service requested was complete. Tiffany called me about 2 hours later and said that all requested service had been completed and that the car was ready to be picked up. I returned directly to pick up the car and pay for the service. Before leaving the store I did a quick inspection of the car, and I noticed that the tires had not been rotated. Further inspection showed that there were no new balance weights on any of the wheels, the worn tires were still on the front, and that the wheel lock located in the glove box had not been disturbed at all. I immediately confronted your service rep, Tiffany, and she stated that the tires had been rotated and balanced as requested. When I pointed out to her that the tires and wheels had not even been removed from the car, she then stated that she wasn't sure if the work had been performed and that it would be taken care of immediately. About ten minutes later, a mechanic drove the car back onto a lift, and I watched as he set about to complete the work requested. As I watched the mechanic I saw that he was simply rotating the tires without checking the balance, so I confronted Tiffany again and asked her why he was not balancing the tires. She had the mechanic stop, remove the tires, and balance each one. Finally, after an additional forty five minute wait the service I had originally requested was completed. No apology or explanation of your mechanic's failure to perform all services listed on the invoice was ever offered to me; however, Tiffany did give me a coupon for three free oil-changes that I could use anytime in the future.
I've been doing business with your store for over seven years (tire purchases, oil changes, tire repair, etc..), but due to this experience I have lost the confidence that services performed at your store are done correctly (or at all) and the trust that my car is even safe to drive after having service performed there. I hope at the very least, that you will take disciplinary action on the employee or employees directly involved with this incident. Any mechanic or technician who would falsify an auto service work order is a liar, a cheat, and a thief, and should not be trusted to perform services on any vehicle components that affect the safety of that vehicle.
I also went to The Kingdom on West Colonial Dr in Orlando, Fl for a simple tire issue on one of there tires, next thing i know is they said the issue was from bad struts in the car causes my issue, said it would cost about $981.00 to fix the problem and that did not include the bad tire ... Little did they know, i work on cars i just don't do tires ... I then went to the GOODYEAR people to replace the bad tire and replaced the other to match, I told them my issue with what they said about my bad struts issues and they laughed ... Said nothing was wrong with them ... Oh, by the way, the issue causing the loud sound is my tire that they say was a cupping issues was a nail deep in the thread of the tire, ( tire was ruined though ) The goodyear people fixed the real problem and a $180.00 later, im very happy ... The sound is no more ... Some Kindom they have over there ..
Tire Kingdom sucks...bought a coupon book from there with them knowing I had a 3/4 ton Econoline...now they won't honor the free oil change because the coupon is not for vehicles over 1/2 Ton...WTF...I am trying to get my money back on the coupon book...it is no use to me...
wow awesome figured i would find something like this.
today 12/22/09 i went in to tire kingdom to have a simple oil change while i was at work just a block down
they asked if i wanted a call when it was. i said no because i will just get it when i get off work.
they call me anyway just to tell me blah blah blah all this stuff is wrong.
im a 18 year old male and i think they could have been trying to take advantage of me
the bill came out to be 30.99 when the blond girl leaving got it for 19.99 when i asked her why she said he told her he would help her out.
keep in mind i have a 2001 Chevy silverado never wrecked or crashed always taken care of.
the extra services they tried to add are as follows:
--URGENT--
---------parts-------------Labor-----------Total
Hub Bearings 209.84$ x2 152$ 571.86$
Inner tire rods 52.69$ x2 171$ 276.38$
outer tire rods 50.29$ x2 171$ 271.58$
wheel alignment 59.99$ 59.99$
they said i should do these right then and there^ ^ ^ ^ ^
and these could wait a month or 2 V-V-V-V
------IMPORTANT------
ball joints upper 53.82$ x2 133$
ball joints lower 91.69$ x2 361$
all coming up to a total of 1790.98 (including Florida tax of .07)
place is a scam avoid them at all costs

It seems like you believe you were told something that you were. At any automotive repair facility it is the responsibility of the store employees to inspect the vehicle. Sometimes they miss things and sometimes they don't. In your case it seems that the service technician found the root cause of your tire failure and offered a solution to prevent further tire failure. You agreed and they repaired it. You did not have to agree to the repair.
If I was the service center and all I did was replace the tires and 6 months later your tires were damaged and needed to be replaced because of overworking brakes or malfunctioning shocks would you not be even more upset that I failed to inform you of obvious failed items and cost you and extra $211 so soon.
I am not sure what magically inflated fees mean? Most every shop, to my knowledge, charges a shop fee that you may be talking about. Tire Kingdoms should be topped out at $30 dollars. A shop fee is a general and uncomplicated way of saying cost of things like shop rags, cleaners, fluids (topped off), wheel weights, etc. There are tons of minuscule things in a shop environment that do not get charged to the customer. This is an attempt to recover it. If you think your bill is confusing now it would blow your mind to itemize. It would also be impractical.
I can not vouch for the shop that repaired your vehicle. I can say that being taken advantage of is very rare. It can happen of course but it seems you were called about repairs that need to be done.
If you ever doubt the validity of a repair it is good practice to call a third party for advice if you do not know yourself. It should be done before you okay the repair. Also, ask for you parts back. With a few exceptions they can be provided to you. And if they have to be core returned they can at least be held for your inspection that day.
Update on middleburg tire kingdom .After posting here and other places they now say I was let go for lack of production .Company policy clearly states the first two weeks are training and they do not moniter your productivity besides I recieved well over 100 dollors in a productivity bonuses.1rst I WAS LAID OFF BECAUSE OF CUT BACKS WHICH THEY KEPT SAYING WERE COMING FROM DAY ONE, THEN AFTER POSTING HERE AND GOING OTHER PLACES THE DISTRICT MGR. I WORKED FOR THE MIDDLEBURG FLORIDA STORE : if you care about your vehicle avoid this store .The so called mechanics had these come backs: this is what i seen in just two weeks oil filters too lose three times two of them same mechanic, oil drain plug bolts not tight and driping twice, timing belt improperly installed, brakes not bleed right 3 times, a major airconditioning job costing almost 3000 the guy came back 4 times with it not working ! wheel bearings on a trailor over tightend causing issues.Defective tires knowingly being sold! the oever priced trailor tires were known to be defective as told to me yet they still sold them to customers.Yes I worked there for only two weeks I HAD NO MECHNICAL COMBACKS .My service mgr lied to me saying they were laying off (because i asked to many questions about issues was the real reason im sure)he said three others were being laid off too and that work was very good but i was low man seniority wise. They told corprate I QUIT! One of the salesman even was low enough to get a freind a free set of rims for his truck saying I scratched them lol everyone in the store looked at those rims and seen no damage caused by me.I rarely complain about places and perfer to praise .THIS STORE IS A VERY BAD PLACE OF BUSINESS AS FROM WHAT i see all tire kingdoms are managed this way. They want their techs to work fast, sell services the customers do not need such as brake cleaning fluid changes which alot of times result in issues such as brake and transmission problems cause by poorly trained techs.I SEAR THIS TO BE TRUTHFUL ALL I STATED !
Never ever go to tire kingdom. I drove my car there for a $29 oil change but ended paying over $1000 and still towed my car out of there. They sold me a gas pump for $580. while the most expensive fuel pump for the car cost $326, I asked for the make of the fuel pump but they insted it was EOM from the dealer. I called the dealer and said they sell their Fuel pump for $176. On top of everything, tirekingdom charged me $460 to replace the fuel pump. To crown it all, the car never started after that and they blamed it on an elctrical problem and literally ordered me to get the car out of their garage since they had done all they could do. I had the car towed to a dealership, where the service manager was in disbelieve.
Remember I had asked for my old fuel pump back from tirekingdom, at the dealership they found the fuel pump was okay and never needed replacement. The dealership charged only $96 to diagnose the car an nothing extra to put back my old fuel pump.
Tirekindgom sold me a price broken fuel pump that i never needed in the first place. I am weighing my options if i shoudl sue the SOBS.
rip off, no call back
Took car in with only 11, 000 miles on 55, 000 mile tires. They were down to the steel. Manager said does not cover alighnment. I went to walmart and bought 4 new tires. Took car to body shop, they took to same tire kingdom and said alighnment was dead on ok. But I filed a complaint and they will not get back to me. My new tires cost 400.00. The price of the tk tires was420.85 I feel I should be reimbursed for the tires, for the 41, 000 miles I didnt get. Why are people like this allowed to rip people off?
pop up tent damages my car & they won't pay
Bought a tire from tire kingdom and had it mounted. When they finished with my car they pulled it around by a pop-up tent they had. Wind grabbed tent and bashed it into my car.
Employee comes out with a rag and starts rubbing the damaged areas. I tell him he is making it worse. His reply is that he is using a compound that wipes off. Wrong!
I was told to have someone look at it and they would take care of it in house if it wasn't over $100. I'm no body expert but a bmw m3 w/ a dent is going to cost a bit more then a hundred bucks.
So I come back with estimate of around $750 and was told to get to more. Fair enough. I don't live in the area of this tk but did run around that day and find two more shops. All came in w/ estimates of around $750. All said employee actually made it worse by taking off clear coat of car.
When I returned to tk the manager stated he was going to use the lowest estimate. Again fair enough I think. However, I am not going to use the shop w/ the cheapest estimate. My son had done some damage to the other side of my car. When he has the money for that repair I will get it all done by a place I trust and have my car all one color.
It was then the manager informs me that they will not giving me the money for damaging my car because I might go on a cruise to the bahamas! I reminded him he owed me for damages they created. And it was my choice when I wanted car repaired and with whom. He again stated he would pay the company of his choosing cuz he didn't want me going on vacation.
I have a call into the general manager now.
taking advantage of customers
I brought my car to tire kingdom on several occasions, every time I went there it was another big catastrophe. Fist I needed all new tires, second time my belts were ready to snap, third time my shocks were bad. Let me tell you my tires supposedly were warranted for 40, 000 miles, I purchased them a couple of months ago when I took my car to my own mechanic yesterday he told me my car was shaking because my two front tires were bad. I was at tire kingdom saturday and the only thing they told me is that I needed new shocks. Mind you every time I have been there its only to have my oil changed and this is what happens. So with that I called tire kingdom in naples and adolfo answered, I told him what happened that I just got my tires not long ago and there bad and he had the nerve to tell he would pro rate me for new tires. (I would not buy nor what I have tire kingdom touch my car again). Also when they put my new belts in the car squealed like a pig. I called and they told me to give it a week or two, so I did, however it never went away until I went there on saturday and told them (again) that the belts they put in were not working right so they finally adjusted them. I don't know if it's because I am a woman that they thought they could take advantage of me or because they actually screw everyone that walks through the door.
I was ripped off again and the manager couldn't care less!
Ripped off again at tire kingdom! I took my 2001 lexus rx300 to tire kingdom to get the oil & filter changed and an alignment as I purchased a three year alignment policy about 1 year ago. Twice in the past the slack # techs had changed the oil and not the filter. Since the first time the filter was not changed, I always marked the filter before I took the car in for an oil change and it happened again. The manager at the time, dave, was extremely apologetic and comped the service, gave me 2 free oil change coupons and fired the tech while I was there. Now today, there is a new manager, jimmy thomas, and again (3rd time) the filter was not changed. What infuriates me more than anything was the manager's "don't give a #" attitude. Not once did he apologize or show any concern at all. I waited another 43 minutes for another tech to change the filter and was told by another tech that "this crap happens all the time!" as I was walking out the door the manager did say "sorry 'bout that" under his breath. As with most tire kingdoms, this store has a reputation of ripping people off and doing terrible work. Their current customer base has virtually disappeared due to these practices but evidently tire kingdom management just does not care. I will never take another one of my personal cars to tire kingdom again and I will cancel the fleet accounts for my businesses in brevard county, tampa & fort lauderdale also. Beware of the gypsies at tire kingdom!

worse repairing
I went to tire kingdom to fix the noise coming out of my front wheels, when we went for a test drive they told me that the noise is coming from right wheel, but they started fixing that problem they said the bearing and the bub needs to be completely changed on the left wheel. I thought that the mechanic knows very well about the cars, I believed him and...

The saga continues
After my wife was sold two new rear tires on a new car with 14, 000 miles, we have now been back a total of six different times between the two stores, the car is now vibrating and none of the tire sensors work. They finally admitted to breaking the sensors but still refuse to admit they do not know how to fix the problem, hence the six trips and it is still not fixed. Will update as the manager comes up with more bs and stalling tactics. Does any one have a contact name for corporate, I need my $500 back and someone to pay ford to fix everything.
alignment
I was at the location on royal palm beach blvd. On 2/12/2010 because I needed a tire. The employee that helped me said, the reason the tire was wearing the way it was, was because I needed an alignment. He suggested I buy 4 tires and the alignment. I ended up purchasing 2 tires an alignment and an oil change. I have been using this location for many, many years and felt comfortable having them do the job.
After picking up the car and heading to riviera beach I realized the steering wheel was veering to the left. I called the store and was told to bring it in anytime.
I returned to the store early evening. The employee behind the counter told me there is some tool that holds the steering wheel and it must have slipped. I asked him "dont you check your work"? Go for a test drive or something? I got no response!
I also wanted a bulb changed for my turn signal and they told me it was a 30 minute job and it would cost $45.00, its 2 screws... That was a joke. The way the economy is now this is no way to treat customers or do business.
I put my families safety in your hands. I feel you did not hold up your end of the bargain.
