Great Paint Source for Older model RV's ( Winnebago Journey 2004)
If your looking to repaint your RV and it's an older model. This seller is the one to go with. I ordered last year some 2 oz bottles and repainted two sections of the RV for color match. They were perfect. You need to do a little research to find your colors and then PaintScratch will match it perfectly. (Turned out my RV was painted with 2005 colors not 2004, must of been a transition time to next years model) They also have a great website that I was able to get everything I needed from Adhesion Promoter, all the way to the final finish glaze. I feel good that it will last a long time, using their quality products.
Got the color right and fast shipping
Second attempt to match the paint on a 1971 Toyota Land Cruiser in Spring Green. Used another color match offering (not PaintScratch) on eBay for the same requested paint color. Unfortunately, life got in the way of my touch up painting plans and I didn't check the paint color. Not even remotely close but I had exceeded their return window and they wouldn't offer any other solution except repurchasing. So, I definitely wanted to try another source & found PaintScratch. Their online ordering process showed the correct paint color and that is exactly what I received with very quick shipping. I've now used the paint and it's a good match.
Second times a charm
Very pleased with the customer service I received. The first quart of paint I received was not a close match so I emailed them a sample of the color that they needed to match. They did it! They sent me a new quart of paint and responded i a couple of days. Very pleased with the results and response I received from them.

Patience!
I trimmed the tip of the pen to cover smaller paint chips. This product seems to work well if you follow the instructions. Definately use multiple coats to bring the paint above the surface. The biggest problem I had was using the leveling compound too quickly. I found the best way is to apply initial coat, let it dry over night, then apply the last coat and allow to dry for 1-2 hours. The leveling compound seems to work well if you follow the above. The chips on my car were very small so I did not use the clear coat.
Touch-up areas were almost undetectable so I am very pleased. Strongly recommended watching video on YouTube before using.

Ease of website
Ease of website. Initially when I started using PaintScratch I was apprentice. Their products are the best as far as my needs. Color match is excellent. Not always perfect due to years of a vehicle but even on an Audi Allroad Highland Green it was more than I hoped for. Now if I could figure out the best remedy for preventing chipping on the aluminum door blades which I prefer to be body color I would be a very happy camper. As it is now, I pull them once a year. Strip and abrade them. Use self etching primer. Resort body color. Directly from their spray can. Clear coat and they look new. Anybody have a better direction for me. Always open to suggestions. Thanks again
Good experience but I guess the color I have is difficult to match
Went through he process easily enough. They added my specific auto paint code to their menu. The order came as expected and earlier than expected. I am very pleased with the service. However, my color was not a good match. The color of the car is British racing green. The color I received is much lighter; perhaps moss green. The color might deepen after the clear coat is sprayed on.
I think they did the best they could. It is very difficult to get a good match without a part. On the whole I think this is a good company and I would try them again. Matching paint by mail is is a gamble, at best. This just did not turn out quire right for me. There are plenty of customers who had a good match.
Great Color Match
Our '66 Mustang still has the original burgundy (Color Code X) paint, so it's 57 years old, but is very good overall condition, yet had a few old door dings and other small chips. At first I was skeptical, because red tones are quite difficult to match. This touch-up paint was a perfect match. I first used some painter's tape around the chips. Then I used a small abrasive auto paint tool to prep the chipped areas. I followed that with 5 light coats of paint, allowing at least 1 hour between coats. Then I followed that with 3 applications of clearcoat. The chipped areas are now only visible if you get very close, but standing 8 ft away, you can barely distinguish the repairs. I am very happy with the results.
Don't know about these paint applicator pens
These applicator pens do not seem as useful as expected. Other than being a repository of large, unpredictable dollops of material, the pens may be useful liquid holders.
When you press down on the vertical applicator tip to get some coating material, it gushes out in very unpredictable, excessive amounts.
If the drops of paint happen to fall on a clean, non-absorbent surface, you may be able to take a tiny artists touch up brush and dab it in the blob amount of paint that goes on the substrate.
Otherwise, if the big drop of excess paint from the paint pen falls on your fender or new Nike Crossfit shoe, please find some Acetone quickly.
Maybe with the tiny artist brush, you have a possibility of applying the correct amount of material.
The removable tips of these pens come out very easily They are easily dropped.
Then, when you wipe off the inevitable excess paint, the fiber tip will inadvertently get pulled out and fall on the dirty garage floor and becomes junk.
Best case, those little tips appear to be one-use only.
Even, if the contents of the pen are barely used, the pen goes in the trash if the removable tips are dried up or otherwise compromised.
My recommendation would be to get your touch up paint in a little unpressurized container that will enable the user to select application method and size of applicator appropriate for the application..

PaintScratch Review: Frustrating Experience with Wrong Color and Refund Denial
I recently had an experience with PaintScratch that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I was in need of bright silver paint for my Lexus and decided to order from their website, paintscratch.com. I provided them with the Vin # and eagerly awaited my order.
However, when the package arrived, I was shocked to find that they had sent me dark gray paint instead. I immediately contacted their customer service team to request a refund, but they refused to do so. Instead, they asked me to fill out their forms and even requested that I mail them a sample of the paint they sold me.
I felt like they were playing games with me and trying to avoid giving me a refund. It was a frustrating experience, and I was left feeling like I had been scammed. I wasn't the only one, either - I noticed that many others had received the wrong color from PaintScratch.
In the end, I decided to dispute the charge with Paypal. Even then, PaintScratch refused to refund my purchase price. Thankfully, Paypal ruled in my favor and I received a full refund.
Overall, I would caution anyone considering ordering from PaintScratch. While they may have some good reviews, my experience was far from positive. It's disappointing to see a company that doesn't stand behind their products and refuses to make things right for their customers.
Terrible Customer Service Experience with PaintScratch
I had a question for PaintScratch about their trim paints and boy, did I get some rude responses! I mean, I just wanted to know if they had them in stock, not for a specific car or anything. But all they could say was that I didn't give them enough information. I mean, come on, can't they just tell me if they have it or not?
So, I asked again, and all they could say was that they didn't have the resources to answer my question. Really? I mean, how hard is it to know if you sell something or not? It's not rocket science!
Honestly, I wouldn't recommend PaintScratch to anyone. There are so many other touch-up paint sites out there that are much more helpful and friendly. Don't waste your time with these guys.
PaintScratch sent me the wrong color and won't accept returns - buyer beware!
I ordered some paint from PaintScratch and unfortunately, they sent me the wrong color. I was supposed to receive a plain creamy beige, but instead, I got a gold metallic. There was no metallic paint anywhere on my vehicle, so I was pretty disappointed. I checked their return policy and it turns out they don't accept returns at all, even if they made a mistake. I wonder who wrote this policy, it seems pretty unfair to me!
I paid $38.00 for a can of paint that I can't even use. It's pretty frustrating, to be honest. My advice to anyone considering buying from PaintScratch is to go to an auto parts store with the color you need in hand. Buy a few colors that are close to the one you need and try them out. You can keep the ones that don't match for hobbies or other projects. In the end, you'll spend the same amount of money and you won't have to deal with the hassle of returning a product.
I'm going to give this gold metallic paint to my wife for her hobbies. It's not what I needed, but at least it won't go to waste. If you do decide to buy from PaintScratch, make sure you're absolutely positive about the color you need. Otherwise, you might end up with a can of useless paint like I did. Good luck!

PaintScratch Review: Terrible Service and Long Wait Times for One Touch-Up Pen
I've been waiting for my paint pen for my Jeep Compass from PaintScratch for quite some time now. I was informed that I have to wait until they fill 914 orders before they can ship my ONE touch up pen. When I tried to contact their customer service, I couldn't talk to an actual person. Instead, I received an email from a guy named Dave who told me that it takes a long time to mix and make a single pen. I wanted to cancel my order, but I didn't receive any response from them. They totally ignored my request.
Usually, I check reviews before ordering anything online. But this time, I really dropped the ball. I should have read the reviews before placing my order with PaintScratch. This place should be reported to the Better Business Bureau (BBB). They are getting away with murder here, and to me, they are nothing but crooks.
I am extremely disappointed with their service. It's frustrating to wait for so long for a single touch-up pen. I understand that it takes time to mix and make a pen, but waiting for 914 orders to be filled is ridiculous. And the fact that I couldn't talk to an actual person when I contacted their customer service is unacceptable.
I hope that others will read this review before ordering from PaintScratch. Don't make the same mistake I did. There are other companies out there that provide better service and don't keep their customers waiting for so long.
Disappointing Experience with PaintScratch: Incorrect Color and Poor Customer Service
I recently made a purchase from PaintScratch (paintscratch.com) and I must say, I was quite disappointed with the outcome. I ordered the paint color that was listed inside my car door, but when I received it, I noticed that it was way too dark. It wasn't even close to the correct color that I was expecting. I was quite upset about this and decided to contact the company to see if they could help me out.
I sent them a sample of the paint that they had sent me and explained the situation to them. However, to my surprise, they told me that the paint was an "exact match" with their paint and that the problem must be with my car. They suggested that the paint on my car had faded or that my car had been repainted, which was absolute crap. My car is only 4 years old, so there is no way that the paint could have faded to that extent, and it hasn't been repainted.
I was quite frustrated with the response that I received from the company, especially since they don't offer refunds for paint. I ended up being out $35, which was quite a lot of money for me. I would advise anyone who is considering purchasing from PaintScratch to think twice before doing so. I don't want anyone else to waste their time or money with these con artists.
Overall, my experience with PaintScratch was not a good one. I was disappointed with the quality of the product that I received and the response that I received from the company. I hope that they can improve their customer service in the future and offer better quality products to their customers.
Disappointed with PaintScratch's Paint Pens for Lexus GX460
I've been a loyal customer of PaintScratch for years and have always been satisfied with their products and services. However, my recent experience with their paint pens for my Lexus GX460 has left me disappointed. The paint won't come out of the pen as it should, and I had to pull the tip out to get any paint on it. This is not the quality I have come to expect from PaintScratch.
It's a shame because I have referred hundreds of old clients to this company from my decades of running a detailing business. Even in my retirement, I have continued to recommend PaintScratch to friends because of their high-quality products and excellent customer service. But now, I can no longer do so.
I understand that mistakes happen, but this is a significant one that has affected my trust in the company. I hope that PaintScratch will take steps to ensure that this doesn't happen again in the future. Until then, I will have to look for other options for my touch-up paint needs.
Overall, I am disappointed with my recent experience with PaintScratch. As a long-time customer, I expected better quality and service. I hope that they will take my feedback into consideration and work to improve their products and services.
PaintScratch Review: Mixed Feelings on Match Guarantee & Prices
I recently purchased quarts of primer, base, and clear from PaintScratch and I have mixed feelings about my experience. On the positive side, I received paint that had a satisfactory match on my first try. They provided me with the code and VIN which made the process easier. However, the prices at PaintScratch are an absolute joke. I would recommend finding a local autobody supply with quality paint matching capabilities instead.
As someone with limited knowledge of autobody paint, I was willing to make this order based on their match guarantee. However, I was disappointed to find out that for a $150 base coat quart, I was expecting a high quality paint. Instead, I received PPG Omni matched paint. I ran out and purchased additional Omni locally for only $50, which made me feel like I was robbed by PaintScratch. The same goes for their primer and clear, which also had a significant markup.
Overall, I would advise others to avoid this company. While they do offer a match guarantee, the prices are simply not worth it. You can find better quality paint at a more reasonable price elsewhere.
Disappointing Experience with PaintScratch: Inaccurate Color and Poor Customer Service
I recently purchased a paint pen for my Jeep from PaintScratch, and I have to say, I was pretty disappointed with my experience. I thought I had chosen the correct color based on the pictures provided on their website, but unfortunately, the pictures were not accurate at all, and I ended up receiving the wrong color.
When I reached out to PaintScratch to exchange my pen for the correct color, I was met with a less-than-helpful response. They basically told me that I had ordered what I ordered, and that if I wanted the correct color, I would have to purchase it at full price. I was pretty surprised by their lack of willingness to work with me, especially since I'm not a paint expert and had relied on their website to guide me in my purchase.
Overall, I would say that my experience with PaintScratch was pretty disappointing. If you're looking for a company that truly cares about its customers and is willing to go the extra mile to make things right, I would recommend looking elsewhere. While their prices may be competitive, the lack of customer service and willingness to work with customers is a major downside.
Disappointing Experience with PaintScratch: Wrong Color and Poor Customer Service
I recently made a purchase from PaintScratch (paintscratch.com) to get a specific color for my vehicle. Unfortunately, they sent me a color that was too dark and didn't match my truck at all. It was obvious that they keyed in the wrong color code. I was really disappointed with the product I received and felt like I wasted my money.
I tried to reach out to their customer service team through email to resolve the issue. However, it was a frustrating experience. They kept asking me to send a sample of the paint color to see if it matched their color code. I mean, seriously? It was clear that they filled the order wrong. I couldn't believe that they couldn't provide basic customer service and kept asking me to do all the work.
To make matters worse, they charged me $30.00 for a 2 oz sample bottle. I felt like I was being ripped off. I really wish I had read the reviews before I made my purchase. I would have saved myself a lot of trouble and money.
Overall, I was really disappointed with my experience with PaintScratch. They didn't provide good customer service and sent me the wrong product. I would never use this sham of a business again.
PaintScratch Review: Great Selection and Easy Ordering, but Match Your Color for Older Cars
Ordering from PaintScratch was a breeze. I didn't have any trouble navigating their website and placing my order. However, when the paint arrived, I noticed that it didn't match the color of my car. At first, I was disappointed and frustrated. But then I realized that it was probably my fault for not providing enough information.
I had given PaintScratch the paint code of 749, which is supposed to be Tropical turquoise. But I didn't give them a painted part from my car to match the color. I didn't have any small parts that I could send to them, so I took a chance and hoped that the paint code would be enough. Unfortunately, I was wrong.
To be fair, PaintScratch did warn me that car paint from the 1950s should be matched rather than going by the paint code. But I didn't listen to them, and I ended up with the wrong color. I accept responsibility for my mistake.
Luckily, I was able to find a paint supply company about 100 miles away from me. I drove my car there, and they were able to match the paint correctly. It was a bit of a hassle, but I'm glad that I was able to get the right color in the end.
Overall, I would still recommend PaintScratch to others. They have a great selection of paints and their website is easy to use. Just make sure to provide as much information as possible when ordering, especially if you have an older car with a unique color.
They sent me completely wrong colour of the paint
I purchased RED paint for my car from www.paintscratch.com. The rep told me that they ran out of red paint, but he told me that they could provide RED Metallic, it was also great colour. I agreed, but the seller sent me wrong colour and it didn’t have any hint of red colour. I complained, but the seller told me to wait and vanished with my money. I was disappointed in such services and their attitude.
The seller sent wrong colour and refused to change it
People, be aware that the website www.paintscratch.com is real scam. I ordered paint from them, but these jerks sent me wrong colour and after I contacted them, the rep told me that it was my fault. They refused to change it or provide money back. The worst services ever. They are liars and scammers, and I want to find other deceived customers, who lost money. Please we need to stop this company and return our money. Post your comments.
