McDonald's bad service, rude and errible food

Me and a friend went through the drive-thru of the Mcdonalds resturant at Hallett Cove. We were not sastisfied whatsoever. the employees were terribly rude to the customers, the food was not up to qaulity standard and some was forgotten and only half full when given back. No greeting was given when handing the food out to us. the food was not even cooked properly, only about half cooked and we felt sick after eating it. When called up nothing was done to improve the service and I advise you to never enter the store in your life. They were not rushed off their feet they did not have a lot of customers to serve and could and should have done better.

Just [censor]ing go somewhere else. At a certain time of the day, the ice cream/milk shake machine goes into this thing called "heat" mode, i don't know what it is exactly, but it does it every day around a certain time, depending on which one you go to. The one where I work it turns off at 11pm to 12am ish.

McDonald's false advertising

I was a loyal customer of McDonalds until your recent policy change in the pricing of breakfast extra value meals (breakfast sandwich, hash browns, coffee or small drink at a better price when purchased as a meal rather than purchased separately). I have often enjoyed your sausage & egg biscuit "Extra Value Meal for breakfast.

I understand now that your Extra Value Meals are no longer "extra Value" but just a means for your corporation to push it's profits up while further endangering the consumer. I say this because you no longer serve small drinks with your extra value meals but force the consumer to buy a medium drink, thereby making the posted price for a value meal nothing but a lie because the medium drink adds 88 cents to the posted price of these meals (at least at my local McDonalds); disregarding the health aspects of enticing consumers to increase their intake of soft drinks (I will be spreading this word across the world wide web for everybody to see), the fact that your corporation feels that it is unnecessary to post the real price of your meals on your menu boards is unsatisfactory, especially in todays economy where the consumer cannot catch a break from corporate greed and disrespect of its customer base (you must think we are all stupid and would not care if you force us to pay more than your advertised price for a product).

I grew up with McDonalds being seen as a family restaurant offering a good meal at a fair price and can remember times when I couldn't afford to take my family out to dinner but could always count on McDonalds to bring a smile to my childrens faces. It is sad that this is no longer the case.

Breakfast value meals are a lie...you are charged extra for small drink, even though that is advertised as included in the total price...at a minimum, when complaining about the extra drink charge, you are then "up charged" for a small drink, although that is the smallest drink available on the menu, and then charged again for cream and artificial sweetener in the coffee...one $4.99 value meal ends up costing more than $7.00, at least...come on down and visit us here in Fountain CO or Colorado Springs CO for an early morning surprise!

I was thirsty after a hard day of work. I went to McDonalds to order sprite. I asked for a small cup. After I was finished I asked for a refill. The employee told me that those were only for medium and large cups. I told her that this was ridiculous as no where does it say this. They were so stubborn that after arguing they refused to refill my cup. They said a refill was five cents for small cups. I am a registered nurse I make 90k a year I can afford five cents but it is a matter of principle. When I worked at McDonalds they gave free refills.

Then a few days later I went back. I obeyed their stupid rule, paid extra for a medium and asked for a refill. I shared this with my ten year old daughter. We wanted one more refill. They said that we are only allowed one refill. I argued that this was false advertising. They did not give me a refill. They are so stingy.

I had to go to Kmart across the street to get my drinks. They could have gotton me arrested because I was banned from the Kmart because they falsely accused me of shoplifting. Luckily no one saw me that knew about my false accusation. I was out quick. I bought some coke, cups and ice for my daughter.

I think to make up for this bad experience I should be given free meal coupons and have the unnecessary cost of the coke, ice and cups reimbursed. You are lucky I was not charged with trespassing because than you would owe me more. I'm a registered nurse and do not need to be treated like a second class citizen.

Hey - I live in a city with no McDonalds - and live a fine life.

Maybe you should consider changing your life if McDonalds and the Fatty, No nutritional value foods they serve are such an important part of your life.

scisco

This woman is a nutcase. She regulary posts on pissedconsumer.com She is a white registered nurse and makes 90k. She thinks being white and a registered nurse makes her better than others. She physically and verbally abused her children. She make nasty posts towards other users and says someone else got into her account. There have been times when she slipped up and it was proven that the nasty posts were made by no other than her. She is racist against blacks, hispanics, Indians and Jews and physically abuses her children if they don't believe in her steryotypes against these people. She always asks for some sort of gift card. She is a miser. Makes money but wants freebies. You are right she needs to grow up, when she does not get her way she acts like a child. She is divorced and calls her husband a deadbeat father because he did not feed the kids the food they wanted. She is the one starving them. She thinks the world owes her. She thinks she has a right to cut in line because she is white and makes so much money and because she has children. She teaches her children to hate as much as she does, punishes them if they have black, hispanic, Indian or Jewish friends. She even punishes them for giving her ex husband Christmas gifts. I believe her boyfriend broke up with her because she stole money from him.

McDonald's I got a food poisoning eating their food

On or about June 21, I stopped and got my daughter a Happy Meal from Mcdonald on Skibo/Morganton in Fayetteville, NC. After driving for a few minutes. I told my child to give me the milk so I can open it. She had already drunk the majority of the milk. I asked how did she open it, she said it was open. I then stopped to check and there was not a seal on the milk at all. I said a prayer over her and waited to see if anything happened. By 1 or 2 am she was vomitting everywhere, consistently. I took her to the doctor, who agree that she had been food poisoned. I contacted Mcdonald and was told the manager was in a meeting and then hung up on. I went to the store. I talked to a supervisor who seemed like the only person to care. She went to get the manager and was sent out with a number to give me. I told her that was not good enough and I wanted to speak to the manager. The manager finally came out and I realized when I pulled up, the manager was standing outside laughing and giggling with a person outside. She didn't want to tell me who the owner was or be helpful. I finally got a phone number out of her to corporate. I proceeded to call corporate and was basically ignored for a two weeks after speaking to Jorge who seem all too concerned. NOT. on July 27th after sending my daughter doctor papers 2 wks prior, I was offered free food for my inconveniences at any McDonalds in North Carolina. What kind of compensation is this? Who's going to compensate me for my daughters pain and suffering, for my doctor visit, for the daycare time that I still had to pay for even though my child was home sick, for the time I took off work due to this situation, and for the rude service from the majority of McDonalds workers. If I had went in that store and was treated like I was someone, then I would have settled for some coupons and reimbursement of doctor bills. McDonald's need to work on their people skills. Have anyone else been food poisoned by mcDonalds and treated like it was nothing?

I was in Columbus Ms on May 15, 2009. I tell you, it was the first time I've ever been so humiliated at a drive-thru in my life. I made my order of 4 McChickens, 3 caramel Sundaes and 1 fudge sundae (and 4 cups of water) it was extremely hot. I thought I was going to get my food right away. Well anyway, the lady at the drive-thru asked me to pull up and someone would bring my order out to me. I waited like five minutes in the blistering heat until finally here comes this lady whom appeared to me at first to be nice. She came out and just stood at the bars not far from where I waited. Maybe I wasnt up far enough for her convenience. She just stood there. After a few second I realized that it was my order I pulled up and got my bag. She didnt have my water so I said, Maam I had 4 cups of water with that order, She snapped me. Well they did'nt send any water by me and she went inside. I waited a few more minutes she didnt come so went back to the drive-thru. I got there and asked for the water again. The lady who got my order from before was like, I sent your water out, You didnt get it? The manager and the rude lady(Michelle) was standing around. Oh, there she go, said Michelle. The manager said why didn't you take her water. She got loud, I'm not gonna running down nobody in no parking lot, I dont care if somebody had called 911! She raged on. Ok Michelle, Ok Michelle said the manager smiling. That is definitely not how you talk to a customer and the manager should have apologized on her behalf. She was completely RUDE! She should have left her frustrations at home and not have taken them out on a customer. She don't need to be working anywhere with an attitude like that!

After going to this location for many years almost every morning for years and getting along perfectly well with all staff I had a situation that got me thrown out. I always treat people with respect and kindness unless a rude and abusive person starts on me. One morning recently a store employee was having trouble getting the TV to receive satellite so I tried to help him. The remote control wasn't working so I went to the TV to push buttons so to switch it to satellite and as I did I accidently bumped a customer who was sitting directly in front of the TV and I immediately apologized. Unfortunately he wasn't very understanding and gave me verbal abuse. I'm sorry but I can't stand there and allow someone to rag on me so I returned his verbal attack. The same employee told both of us to stop or he would ask us to leave. It stopped and when I was leaving I decided to speak to a manager to bring it to her attention. She asked me to go outside to talk and as I did another regular customer who is a know- it- all came out and stopped to stare. I was already angry because the manager wasn't willing to hear my side she only wanted to instruct me to defuse the situation and certainly I can agree but I needed to state my case about the employee not stepping in immediately when the rude person started and ask him to stop or leave. So back to the know- it- all and me being upset I said " what are you staring at, just keep on walking". That's when the manager told me to leave and as far as I know she is sending me a no trespass notice.
Unfortunately the world is full of political correctness and anyone who steps outside that box is labeled and punished. I am not a violent person and I would never physically harm anyone but I do believe that a person should have the right to verbally give back what he is dealt. If someone had a mental handicap would they be thrown out? Of coarse not no more than any disabled person would be so why not listen to two sides of a story before placing judgment?

Had anybody not noticed that McDonald's no longer serves hot burgers. And the cheese is never melted.
And when did crappy fast food go to $7 for a so called non nutritious meal. It is truly, truly disgusting that for $7 you don't get a hot hamburger, it a Luke warm burger...isn't there some health code violation that is in place that food needs to be served hot, or it will have bacteria. And since we are on the subject of McDonald's, it doesn't matter from Los Angeles, to Denver to Washington state..same crappy not served hot burger.so it must be a company policy to serve unheated food. And McDonald's has gotten way too expensive. Over $4 for a cold big mac?and since there is no restrictions or labels..how do you know that the buns are not made with bio enginered foods?

On Wednesday 03/30/11 at approximately 3:15 P.M. my husband and I drove from Tiverton, R.I. to the Wm. S. Canning Blvd. McDonald's in Fall River, Ma. to order a meal to go. We purchased a #2 Value Meal with a medium Coca-Cola and 2 Cheeseburgers
and one order of french fries from the Dollar Value Menu. The total was $8.32. We placed our order at the drive through. I wish to
point out that both the cashier at window #1 and the food service person at window #2 were pleasant and friendly. We didn't check the
bag before leaving and noticed that once we got home (7 miles away across the state line in R.I.) that we didn't get all of the food we paid for. I was missing one of the dollar cheeseburgers. I know it seems silly to complain about a single burger but I really like McDonald's food and was disappointed. Anyway, your staff at that location is always friendly and courteous which is one of the reasons we go to that McD's. but perhaps it was an oversight, and I should have checked my order before getting back on the road.

I have a friend who has worked for your company for over 10 years! and has still not been promoted! due to what i can only describe as Victimisation, he was put on the managers course by his store manager only to get a new mgr halfway through course, she has removed him from course with no disscussion this point has been raised with her but she does nothing about it!?!?! now she continues to promote much younger unexperienced crew who take little responsibility while my client older (30's) on a day to day basis runs the kitchen doing dates breaks cleaning etc etc.. she often makes mistakes like removing from training squad cutting hours back and when confronted claims it wasn't deliberate! he feels complaining will get him nowhere as the groups ops are the store managers personal friend and has already protected her more than once! do not fob me off i would like a frank and honest reply as i was considering letting my son work there but for him to be treated like this would be unexceptable.. you need to rewrite that people promise of yours as you don't practice it unless your being watched from on high!

This is aimed at the uk mcdonalds

So i went to this Mcdonalds like i do all the time and i order a chicken sandwich and fries. When i am asked would i like any sauce i always ask for honey mustard. On this particular night the lady told me that i needed to pay 11 cents extra for the sauce. This was kinda surprising to me because i have all ways been getting it for free. The sign on the window clearly states that all additional condiments are extra. I wasn't getting an additional condiment, i was just getting a regular souse that i thought was free and came with meal. The lady was very rude to me and stated that i could not have it unless i gave her 11 cents. I paid the 11 cents because i didn't want to sit their and argue with that woman.

This McDonald will not receive my business again because of their rudeness, if their is a new policy regarding receiving condiments it needs to be posted somewhere in clear view that you can not get honey mustard sauce unless you pay 11 cents extra.

Few days back, I went for a takeaway at McDonalds. I just wanted a burger, a coke and fries. The guy was very moody and rude and when I asked why it was taking so much time, he told me rudely that it was normal!

I came out quick from there but a while later found out that the fries were all cold! I was not expecting that from the McDonalds, at least. Perhaps that was one time but the guy needs to be given some good training on how to deal with the customers. I am sure McDonalds will take this seriously.

Like the new breakfast ad? one dollar breakfast menu? seen it on tv? My 3 kids noticed. I'm am on a very limited income, I live 25 miles away from ritzville and i had an extra $10.00. I decided instead of driving the 7 miles, to my local grocey store to ga shopping, I decided to take my kids to mcdonalds for breakfast. I asked what was on the one dollar breakfast menu, and I was told they do not do it here. I could not afford to buy any thing else and I left in embarrassment and 3 crying kids that were really looking forward to the very rare treat. If mcdonalds is going to run nation wide ads like that, every mcdonalds should honor it, instead of breaking childrens hearts and leaving a bad imppression on them about mcdonalds. they can't read or pay attention to any disclaimers. But i am sure the one that don't honor it, are getting a big payoff by lureing them in with the ad, the charging full price because the people are already there. WHAT A SCAM!

Hey my name is Stephanie. I had an urge to just finally either type out what my big problem is or somehow communicate it. I have been at this fast food restaurant for 2 years. I just recently got a promotion, but am being pushed out of this work place fast. I had an incident with one of the managers who mind you is not even legal in this country (its beyond me how she is even able to get away with that) She states that I disrespected her and was not following " the ruler". Now as part of my job I must know about all new machines and information so therefore I took it upon myself to find out how to use a particular machine. Had there been anything said from the get go about not being able to use it, I would not have. It was not at all against regulations but yet I still get scorned and suspended. Finally, when I came back to work I went from 35-40 hours a week to 8-15 hours a week. Now how is that? I am one of the best employees there but yet I am consistently getting mistreated. Nobody there respects me and I would never be able to move up further even if I wanted to. Dont get me wrong when I say this but there are hardly and people of any other race working there except for mexican. Most of the employees there are noe legal citizens but yet I have to suffer. I am not having a pity party for myself but I am fed up. I was not scheduled at all this week and I have a 9 month old sn to support and take care of. I am currently pursing my bachelors degree in Psychology and trying to do all I can do. I cant even afford to buy my son diapers due to this ridiculous mishap. How would you feel?

McDonald's poor attitude

Me and my schoolmates were just going on break march 24, 2010 around 8:00 at night and when we pulled up to the drive thru window the person taking oue order was very rude to us, we asked if we could have a minute and then she said sure like I have all night. Then when we were waiting for our food she did not give us our order right she was laughing about it. I tryed to get a hold of a supervisor but I was not able to and we just feel that that is very unprofessional and poor attitude for her to have when working in this kind of business.

Good day, as for now!?, I am one of a customer patrionizing McDonald's. I really love the food and the good service of your employees given to their customers. As an employee myself and as a mother, I see to it that I find time for my family and good way to do this is to treat them. Unitl yesterday, an incident shocked me which lead me to question on how professional your empoyees are specially managers.

As we were eating at McDonald's Tabunok Branch around 5:30 in the afternoon. I saw one of your manager a certain VINCE yelling at one of the crews who were wearing McDelivery Shirt. his voice was heard from four corners of the store insulting the crew and telling him "AGENCY KA LANG, KLIYENTE KO, WA NA KO MANGINAHANGLAN SA IMONG SERBISYO, PWEDE TIKA PALAYASON RON." This statement insulting the crew and terminating his service without proper forum is one example of abuse of power from a high ranking individuals. Is this the way you train your managers? I never expected to witness a manager at a place where many people eating and watching him to subvert employee under him. well in fact they were the same they were both paid.

Because of this untoward incident I decided to send you this requesting for your good company to investigate and give attention to this matter. I pity on every crew who can just keep thier silence. Let's face it he may have a mistake but how he was treated by MR> VINCE was very inappropriate to the extent it would take customer attention.

I hope you take action on this matter and hear both sides!

McDonald's waiting time and missing product

my family and i live local, visit fast food restaurants often, but i always seem to have to go back to get something that was left out of my order or the worst, pull up and wait and wait, i have on several occasions timed the delays of my drive up visits, on the average, yes there is an average, of 7 TO 10 MINUTES of waiting i do not seem to ever have this issue at any other mcdonalds that i visit and it is not a one time thing it is often.. then they forget my straws or sauces so we have to go in and get them after waitng mind you we went through the drive up so that we would not have to park and go in, this is just a bother to a customer and ecspecially ones that frequent this mcdonalds, do you know that my father wont go there because they have asked him to pull up and wait when he has ordered a cup of coffee, wow thats bad he also renamed mcdonalds#11389 its current name is "the pull up and wait" because that is all we seem to hear, i really hope that someone can get those folks organized before they lose another customer

McDonald's incorrect orders & service

The McDonald's in Tustin, CA at the corner of Bryan and Tustin Ranch Road has the worst customer service. It's become a joke in our family to see if they can get our order correct. Today we ordered two items. Even though I asked for ketchup on the burger, the screen in the drive through did not have it listed. The woman said she would make sure she told them to add it. I also ordered a Diet Coke. When I got to the window to pay the woman shorted me a nickel in my change. (She gave me back $14.95 instead of the $15.00 that I was due.) When I said my change was wrong she argued with me that I had not given her a nickel. She wouldn't budge even though she had already put the $21.07 I had given her into the cash drawer prior to giving me my change back. I complained about her to the manager. After I drove away I discovered that the drink was a regular Coke instead of Diet Coke, and there wasn't ketchup on the cheeseburger. I don't know how this McDonald's stays in business during in this economy. I won't be back. I rather drive a little further next time we go for fast food.

McDonald's customer service

Was going through Drive thru this afternoon, March 7, 2010 waiting for my food at the pickup window. The server had gone to get my order and had left the window open. I do not appreciate one of the front line staff stomping up to the window "swearing" under her breath and then slamming the window in my face. If you have a problem with the window being open ie: drafty. too loud say something to the customer on the other side, maybe excuse me but leaving the window open makes it too loud but don't just slam it in my face.

To top it all off, I tried to place a complaint on the McDonalds website. There is no way to do this by email, the only option is to call long distance Monday to Friday. Guess they don't care too much about our complaints.

McDonald's cold food

On the 6th march we went to McDonald's for tea. We ordered 2 big mack meals+2 happy meals with nuggets+1 chicken mayo. We received our food and went home which is just around the corner. Upon opening our food we found to our dismay that all our food was cold apart from the chicken nuggets. So as you can imagine we were not very pleased, we use the store on a regular basis and have never had any problems. I would be most grateful if you could investigate this matter further at this branch. At least making sure that this does not happen to us again and other paying customers. Thank you and would hope to hear from you soon to resolve this issue...

McDonald's mcdonalds harpurhey

I want to make a complaint about McDonalds Harpurhey on Rochdale Road.

I worked for McDonalds Harpurhey from Dec 2009 - March 2010.
When i worked there throught out my probatiom period they made me feel so uncumfitable, even the manager Kirsty Williamson! I was only on my probation and coverd loads of shifts aswell did my friend who they dissmissed aswell! we both did 12hour shifts most of the time, and didn't complain once. I was dedicated to my job at McDonalds. And the way they got rid of me and my friend was so unfair they ket us get into our uniform and let us do everything and then say right you are no longer aloud to work here. If you ask me McDonalds Harpurhey is not a good place to work.

This is true with fast food and hiring teenagers in general. The ones who get away with calling in last min, not turning up etc. are usually gormless [censor]ing dweebs who contribute nothing anyway and so aren't noticed or cared about by shift management. in fact, the management probably gets bonuses by making the good ones work twice as harder for the same pay to cover for the absence of others.

I feel that any McDonald's is a terrible place to work.

There are people on my shift that constantly call out because of :

A)They're sick(aka they have a hangover and the managers are OK WITH THIS EXCUSE) or

B)They don't have a ride(when they knew beforehand that they had to work the previous day, so they could have arranged for someone to take them to work)

Some of them don't even bother to call until near the end of the day with their excuses. One girl that was supposed to be at work at 8am didn't even bother to call to say she wasn't coming in until it was 12(she said she was sick)! She and others like her, have gotten away with this without being fired or even disciplined. But if I'm even a minute late I get threatened with a write up...And to top it off I have to work several hours over my shift because of these people not showing up(one day 4 people called out), leaving me having to scramble to reschedule any plans I had for that day.

I don't really have a choice but to suck it up until I either find another job or they find some other stupid reason to fire me for a second time. Last time I was fired was just after I got in a wreck...didn't find out till the next day :/

McDonald's bad service

On the 3/3/2010 Wednesday night i was in the McDonald's store in Malaga getting some dinner for myself.I order a chocolate sundae and a medium coke, when i received the chocolate sundae, the spoon that comes with the item was thrown on the filthy dirty counter in front of me.The spoon had no plastic seal wrap around it, any sort of disease could be picked up on it.People lean over the counter and any sort of disease could be left there.I am amazed that this practise is allowed in a store of this size.It happen to me a couple of days ago as well and this is why i am sending in this complaint about what i saw.If this is the way McDonald's likes to to present it's cutlery (which is so unhygienic) i will stop going there and avoid any McDonald's store until this problem has been address. In this day and age this should not be allowed. If this practise is still going on by the end of the month i will take further action to try and stop this from happening. It is a very discussing thing to have to pick up a spoon of a filthy dirty counter.I will be looking forward to some feedback on the problem and why this is allowed in a fast food outlet (especially a McDonalds store).Regards Glen Lark.My E-mail address is glen.[protected]@yahoo.com.

McDonald's every time I go to mcdonalds, I don't get what I ordered

Every time I go to mcdonalds, I don't get what I ordered. But this time was the worst. I go through the "Drive through" but then I had to wait for my food on the side, and it gets worse. I wait for at least 25 minutes and have to go in to get my food. They fix it up and I asked if the 12 pc nuggets that I ordered was in bag because I saw them put in 4pc nugget. The girl said "yes" they are in there. When I get home they were not in there and I only had 4 pc nugget although I paid for 12 pc combo. I am tired of everytime I go to mcdonalds I don't get what I want and I do pay for it. I will not go back. I will go to sonic or any other place before I go back to mcdonalds again.

You aint the only one! I placed an order for 5 hamburgers with extra pickles. The order was promptly filled by the time I got to the pick-up window. When I returned to work to eat my dinner I discovered none of the burgers, despite having a sticker on them saying "extra pickle", had any extra pickles. Oh, they were also hard and stale. In addition to this, one of the burgers had NO MEAT!

Ordering a burger with extra pickles and receiving a burger with no meat and no extra pickles is absolutely horrific service. I could forgive a lazy worker for just slapping an "extra pickle" sticker on a burger from the bin. But no meat... This is outrageous!

hahaha McD'd SUCKS!

Whenever we go out to fast food joints, we always check our bag to make sure we got what we ordered. And, yes, there have been numerous occasions where we had to go back in, show our receipt and order, and have them fix it. I hate fast food places.

Whoo Hoo! Just look at all the McDonalds employees that left comments.
Why don't YOU get it right. U R stupid but look who you work for.
Mr. Millangelo or whoever you are, the McDonalds employees will never get it right nor can you have it your way. If you like to drive thru for a morning coffee then you hear the same blathering question. "Would you like to try a Frappe...blah, blah, blah. If you say yes, (no one ever does) then that confuses them so much the order taker forgets to charge you and when you get to the pick up window you won't get a Frappe. Or the order taker actually does charge you for the Frappe and when you get to the pick up window there is a 5 - 6 minute wait on one Frappe.

McDonald's charging for an extra sauce

I decided today that I would try eating some lunch from one of our local mcdonalds (The one on the georgia road in particular), I am usually not a big fan of mcdonalds, but I thought I would give it a try. My child really likes mcdonalds, one of her favorite things to get from there is the chicken nugget happy meal, needless to say I find it very hard to believe that you only get one sauce with your meal & if you want more you have to pay for it. I bet if you are an employee there you don't have to pay for an extra sauce if you are going to eat chicken nuggets. I really don't understand what the big deal is about giving someone an extra sauce if they are going to use it. With having a child we do frequent mcdonalds & I must say that not every mcdonalds charges for an extra sauce, but obviously ours do. I really feel that this is going to hurt their business in the long run, but if they can't part with an extra sauce to make a customer happy instead of wanting a little change for an extra sauce & have a pissed off customer that will probably not ever go back to that particular mcdonalds, then so be it. Personally if it were me, I would want to please the customer & not get bad feedback about their business. I have worked in the food industry & our motto was to make sure that the customer is always happy & to never let a person leave unhappy about anything, but obviously this mcdonalds doesn't really care that much about making the customer happy, but instead to leave a bad taste in their mouth. I contacted the manager at this particular mcdonalds & she didn't even care about trying to fix the situation at all, the only thing that she could keep repeating over was..."we are going by the book on this & we can't help what the company decides to do. So needless to say I will not be going back to this mcdonalds & I will make sure that I let all my friends now as well. Thank you for letting me share my complaint with you. I hope that this problem will get resolved in the future.

P. S. Wendys tried charging an extra sauce for awhile, they lost so much business that now if you want one of every kind, they will give it to you... No problem! I guess we will start going back to wendys for our child, when she wants chicken nuggets, 'cause at least I know that there will be no problem if my child wants an extra sauce, they will smile & give it to you with no questions asked.

Hello, it is very unusual for me to complain. I enjoy praising employees within companies that do the right thing. I was always told to do what my CEO would do in a bad situation and 9 out of ten times it works well.

I was in Charleston WV today for a Dr. appt and stopped at Loews, Staples and then decided to stop my MacDonald's in Kanawha City WV. I ordered 20 nuggets, a double cheeseburger and a drink. I was asked what sauces I wanted and indicated I would like 4 Sweet and sour and 4 Honey Mustard. I was cut short by being told that I only get 3 and each additional is 0.27. but I was given one additional (wow) I was in disbelief at first but the employee told me this in a negative way which then made me angry. I concealed my anger and paid then proceed to the window to pick up my food. I again inquired about only getting 3/4 sauces with my nuggets explaining the the sauce container was only good for 2-3 nuggets. She did apologize (new employee) but I was still upset over the situation. Honestly how can 3 sauce packets be enough for 20 nuggets. Would have the few additional broke their food costs. Ths is a sad story after all MacDonald's is the largest food chain in the world, how could the request for a few additional sauce packets cause the employee emotion I received just for asking. Thank you for reading and I honestly am not an individual that complains about just anything. 3 sauce packets is truly a crazy policy for a 20 nugget purchase. When in fact I never had this issue before at any other store until today. My purchase was made at approx 6:00pm EDT at the McDonald's located in Kanawha city WV. The address is6414 Maccorkle Ave Se Charleston, WV [protected] Open 24 hrs This is a company owned store and not a franchise. Their is no transaction number but the receipt has KVS order 20 KS#13 Sep 09'15 (Wed) 18.19, store # 11645 take out total 8.65. In addition the receipt wants me to tell them about my visit and If I do I can receive a free small smoothie? No sauce for a purchase but a free item if I respond. Thanks again for reading. Fred

I agree with the original poster. What I don't agree with is the justification several have given as a reason to charge me for 1 BBQ sauce I'm going to use at McDonalds for my Fry. Example - sk1ttles comment..."we gotta make our money. We can't give away everything. If you think "o, its just one sauce", then just pay for it. Simple as that and there will be no argument" This attitude/reasoning is just wrong. Do they charge for a straw, ketchup, salt, pepper? How about telling that little old lady you’re going to have to swipe her credit card again for 12 cents because she requested a creamer for her coffee! The cost of these condiments are built into and distributed throughout the cost of items on the menu and always has been. Recently greed has made it where companies want to make a higher profit so they are looking at how they can reduce operating costs without changing the base charge for food to the customer.
Until now, I as a customer have always tired to help these places keep cost down by cleaning up after myself. (Note: This is a courtesy I provide to McDonalds and it is perceived as customary to help keep cost down for the business.)

I will no longer continue to clean my table or toss my trash at any McDonalds that decides they need to charge me for something that I feel is a "courtesy/customary" such as these condiments. (Note: This only hurts the greedy guys making the policy to charge for condiments because the average worker is paid by the hour regardless if it's cleaning tables or scrubbing toilets. So let the overhead they have to hire to clean tables eat into the operating costs or profits they intended to make on charging for condiments.

If you agree... LEAVE YOUR TRAY... and let’s make a difference.

I kind of agree. I work at a McDonald's and I have a lot of people complain about the charges of sauces. So what I do is give them one extra sauce and they will have to pay for more. Our sauce is only 10 cent and I don't think it is a big deal. For our nuggets, you get 1 sauce for 4 and 6 piece (I give them 2 automatically for 6), 2 for 10 piece, and suppose to be 3 for 20 piece (but I give them 4 and if they want extra, I will give them 1 extra one). But like one person said, we gotta make our money. We can't give away everything. If you think "o, its just one sauce", then just pay for it. Simple as that and there will be no argument.

I absolutely agree. It's absolutely ridiculous. Giving away an extra sauce is not going to harm the business at all. Seriously? I get one honey sauce with my 6-piece chicken nuggets and have to pay 27 cents extra for another. I WILL not be eating at McDonalds ever again! My brother used to work at a Mcdonalds as well, and from the stuff I heard, I believe every disgusting story I hear about that place. I would rather take my money elsewhere.

first of all for nuggets or selects u get a complementry sauce but if u want extra we do charge you for it. we wont be able to make money if we just give everything away. we are a buisness and if start giving everything away where will we get money to pay for everything else. and as far as i know, almost in every mcdonalds i have been they have a sign where they say its extra for sauce. i hate it when people say "why is it always this mcdonalds, no other mcdonalds does that" 90% of mcdonalds are franchise owners who are trying to earn a living owining a mcdonlds and the employees too. not every mcdonalds is the same. and as far as i know they are all trying very hard to make it a better place, but with all the rude customers always complaining, we cant always be happy.
also if you do ever get a greasy burger, it doesnt mean they didnt use gloves, yes it does mean they probably didnt use a spatula. everyone should stop judging and saying every mcdonalds is the same because its not.

I worked at McDonalds when I was a teenager, about 15 years ago. Even back then they charged for extra stuff like nugget sauce, extra mac sauce, extra mayo, extra ranch dressing, extra cheese, extra pickles, basically anything that was extra. Most of the employees didn't want to deal with angry customers so they usually gave out the extras for free so that the customers wouldn't write a complaint on complaintsboard.com.

The rule for nuggets was that you can get 1 sauce per 4 nuggets. So, if you ordered a 9-nugget (it's a 10 now) you can only get 2 sauces if you asked for 2, otherwise they'll only give you one sauce. If you like to drown your nuggets like I do, 2 sauces for a 10 piece is never enough, especially if it was honey. One of those honey packets only last you barely 2 nuggets. The managers would hate it when I gave out handfuls of sauces for free, especially the honey.

McDonalds is also a stickler on napkins. You are only allowed one napkin per sandwich. So if you ordered a big greasy double quarter pounder through the drive-thru, don't expect to get more than one napkin without asking.

I also always ask for no ice in my drinks if I'm going through the drive-thru because they fill your cup almost full of ice and you barely get any pop to wash their nasty food down.

After working at Micky D's for about 3 years, I do not ever want to eat there or any other fast food place again. It was pretty disgusting the way we prepared the food in there. If you ever get a bun that is covered in grease when you first unwrap it, the guy in the back probably didn't use any gloves or spatulas to prepare your burger. He prepared it with his bare greasy hands that he just wiped his face with (because working back there in Grill got your skin and clothes really greasy).

McDonald's dirty store/ filthy toilets/ substandard service

The McDonalds food store (North of Sydney Highway heading to Newcastle).

On entering the store (it is large space), there were only about a handfull of people there when we got there (10pm ish), but all tables had debrie on them as did the floor(chips/ paper/ spillages/ dead flies on window sill:lots!).

Toilets filthy! The ladies toilets of about 6 cubicles had no paper and floors had debrie on them and the sanitary cubicles were over flowing in a few. I would expect this type of outcome in a poverished run down establishment: not McDonalds food chain store.

The floor in the food section looked like it had not been cleaned for a while. The tiles looked grey black in areas and i don't think they are actually that colour. The floors sticky, as were many tables.

This would have to be one of the worst eating experiences i have ever had!

I really feel like reporting this to the Health Department!

You definitely should keep a closer arm of control on the quality of your products in this area.

McDonald's food quality

My husband and I went to McDonalds for lunch today and to our surprise was very unhappy with the food we received. My husband ordered a s double quarter Pounder with cheese, the burger patties must have been left over from last night as they were hard and dry, and the burger was cold. My big mac was tasty with the exception that the bun was cold. We took this take out and drove 2 minutes from the Restaurant to a nearby park to enjoy our lunch, well the fries and shakes were great the burgers were just nasty. Have you gotten that big that customer care and quality dosen't matter any more...Come on I think a bit more care in the product cooking and preparations would be recommended on your part.

Next time I should look into another fast food chain if this continues.

Thanks for your time

Nancy

When my wife and I decided we'd like to have a fish sandwich we went to Mc Donalds in Indianapolis. We ordered 4 fish filets, totaling $12.36 or $3.09 each. For what? A piece of fish about the size of a postage stamp? NEVER AGAIN!

McDonald's goal setting

I'd just like to say to all those out there that ever want to complain about McDonalds drive thru's again a few words of advice:

When ordering a burger, if you want it to be in a meal, say the size of the meal first - then the burger - and then (if you must) state what you would like changed on the burger.

When ordering a Happy Meal, say what type (cheeseburger, hamburger, 3 or 6 nuggets, snack wraps) because saying "I'd like a Happy Meal" does not help us serve you faster. Then tell us what drink you would like, and any sauces, if with nuggets.

Make sure that you speak CLEARLY into the order box, as sometimes, outside or inside noises and your loud car, can affect our hearing ability. You do not have to shout, but if you speak up, chances are we will hear you properly. ALSO, do not assume we can understand what you are saying when you order "abigmacmeallargefrozencokeforthedrinkandasoftservecone". That doesn't make sense to you when you first look at it, so OBVIOUSLY it doesn't make sense to us when you say it.

Please also note that at this current point in time, it seems that our head office has taken it upon themselves to "improve" our drive thru's. This means that most stores in Australia have a time limit on how fast we have to serve you. From the second you get to the speaker box (and sometimes earlier) we are being timed on how long it takes to serve you, and some stores are given as little as 2 minutes and 30 seconds to get you your order on time.

This means that the next time you are ordering for a family, you have to understand, that while we do make "fast food", 3 Happy Meals, 2 Large Big Mac meals and dessert to boot, won't always be ready in less than 2 minutes and 30 seconds. You have to account for the how busy we are in store, how many cars are in front of you, and how many are behind you.

Sometimes people get annoyed that they have to wait for fresh meat or fries when all they're ordering is a small Cheeseburger meal. Well, honestly, next time you come through for the same thing, and your burger and fries aren't completely fresh, maybe think about not complaining next time when you have to wait.

Another thing that customers have to realise, is that 80% of the time, when there is only one crew member in the window where you pay for your meal, it most likely means that they are also the person taking the orders. This means that we are dividing our attention to get orders placed and paid for as quick as possible. If we are a bit "rude" or "###" then, we ARE sorry for that, but given the pressure from our managers to get the order to their top window before our 2 minutes and 30 seconds are up, we can't stand around chatting about the weather.

Personally, I DO NOT agree with the new targets for McDonald's Drive Thru's that have been put in place, because not only are us crew members stressed from all the pressure our managers put on us, but they are being pressured by their bosses and so on. I am also sick of taking customer complaints from people about having to be parked all the time - I agree with you (the parked customer). You shouldn't have to be parked for a meal that is probably sitting there ready for you to have, but because you won't drive off fast enough after we have given it to you, you have to be parked, and wait a little while longer.

I plea that people who read this and frequent ANY McDonald's store will take into account what I have said. I suppose I'm more angry at the fact that we've been given restrictions on how long we have for a car to go through drive thru, but there are some valid points for customers when ordering their meal. I'd also like to add that while many of your items may be missing, or wrong in your bag, you have to understand that working at McDonald's is NOT the easiest job in the world, and while it may happen more than once in a week, PLEASE try to be understanding towards our situation as well.

I encourage for customers to complain to the head office, I really do, because if more people speak up about this, then either our 2 minutes and 30 seconds will get raised to a more realistic goal, or the times will stop altogether.

Thanks for reading. (let the flaming begin >

Well said Sam ;)

As a fellow manager, I just TONIGHT have read a complain that was sent to our store from Head Office. The lady complained that her (admittantly) old debit card was not working on our e.f.t.p.o.s machines...herself and her husband had to pay via credit card and was upset that the crew person was unable to accept her first card. Ummm, what? WHAT?

It is my job to contact this person monday to close this complaint. Sssseeerriiiooouusssllllyyyy. What does she want me to say? I'm sorry that our up-to-date technology could not accept your debit card because it's too old or whatnot, however we gladly accepted your credit card as credit transactions seem to take FOOOORRREVER at the cashier window. Thanks for being a ###wit, can't wait to hear from you again for your next bogan complaint, possibly receiving the eye of the potato in your french fry. Yours sincerly, I don't give a ###!
