My mobile service provider is airtel india. Today morning hello tune is automatically subscribed to my mobile number. However I never made a request regarding activating hello tune and a random song is also selected for hello tune. When I contacted airtel people, they are not paying attention on this issue simply saying that it is your mistake: "you do what u can do". Rs 45/- is deducted from my account balance.

I have received a bill (invoice no.[protected]) for the period 21/08/06 to 20/09/06 for Rs.807.64 towards broadband connection and multiple telephone facility. Surprisingly none of the facilities exist at my place nor there is any connectivity of airtel broadband service in the area. What is more shocking is that the shows 88 telephone calls made for non-existent facility. It is obvious that airtel must be deceiving actual consumers by deflating their bills in a fraudulent manner. Is there any regulator which could at random look into complaints of actual users and the relief, if any, offered by airtel. Airtel has not so far given any explanation to me for their fraudulent act though I received calls for payment and insisting that broadband connection exists at my place. I do not know how should I proceed and approach appropriate authority to deal with such matters effectively so that exemplary penalties are imposed on such operators.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.

tonight I received a message from AD-AIRCCM on 9th may, at 0214hrs " Dear Customer. Rs.99 have been deducted towards the International Roaming rental of Rs99 activated on 09-MAY-16" I have not asked any service like that and I am not going abroad. It is very shameful to add such charges arbitrarily tht too late night when nobody is watching. I hope all the cliants note this sort of nefarious activity by AIRTEL. They must reverse these charges and stop this sort of practices.
They are also suddenly adding up Data usage by huge amount toward the end of the billing cycle.

Pls note that I am receiving calls from your customer care daily regarding clearance of the amount RS 791. As I have already requested many times from the month of January for my full n final settlement of this account. I kept on calling at customer care and every time they gave me new complaint number and promised me that this we will take into action within 4-5 days. Now I am really fed up by this attitude of your service guys. Now i will explain this to my all nearer and dearer to not to take any connection of Airtel as it is really a harassment kind that you are not disconnecting after requesting so many times but we have to pay the bill without any usage.
Your guys have really made me cry.

On the 8th October 2006, I gave a complaint regarding my bill coming too high, a complaint was lodged, but I didn’t get any feedback, so I called again yesterday and again lodged a complain, Srinivas took the complaint and gave me the complaint number(: [protected]), just wanted to mention I was very distressed with the whole calls business,as I was on hold for 45 mins and then when I informed that the calls I made to were to Paris, France, I was also asked if it was in the Middle East!
After that there was a call drop, and then again I called. So you can imagine what I went through.
When I changed my plans, I had called 121, on the 9th September 2006, I specifically asked your executive if I can call US, UK & Europe for Rs2.99/min, and I specifically asked him IF I could call cell phones also, BECAUSE, If you see my earlier phone bills and my usage history, I call mobile phone in France, and because of this I am aware that calls to mobile phones are higher, he said, “No sir, same Rs.2.99 per call to US, UK, Europe” I understand that this is coming down to your executive’s word against mine, but I would like to draw your attention to this and do something about my Bill, which has been incorrectly calculated at Rs 9.99/min. Also, I was given all kinds of explanations like its because +33 is in the Gulf? When I NEVER called any Middle east country! The amount has come to Rs 6395.34. Stay away from Airtel!
I was not able to get the information regarding the bill I paid for the month of October 2006, when I contacted customer care at 121. The customer care executive directed me to post a complaint on the website.

I have an airtel postpaid connection [protected] under the scheme for JP Morgan Chase employees - Super Saver 199. Under this scheme I have 150 local + 150 STD SMS free and 600 Local mins from Airtel to Airtel or any other mobile free. But when i checked my current bill generated on 27th June '2011 I found that I have been charged for the local mins also.
I tried speaking to customer care but was of no use. Finally I dropped a mail to their nodal officer of Mumbai on nodalofficer.mumbai@airtel.in but still other than acknowledgement no reply has been received.

Simply submit your documents to the new company & enjoy its services. but do not forget to start DND services. now it is Airtel will contact you. Again cheating here by Airtel they will say your problem will be resolved send "CANCEL" to a number. This command is to stay with Airtel & not the solution of your problem.

This is to bring to notice that I have been billed for full monthly charges for the billing period 23/05/07 to 22/06/07 vide invoice number [protected]. However, out of these 31 days, our internet was not working for 16 days, which computes to 51.61% of service delivery. Apart from this, the IVR for airtel is the most useless IVR I have ever seen. It is more of a consumer harassment than a convenience.
I have faced a similar concern with Airtel Office. This was some time ago while I was in Bangalore and had a postpaid connection with Airtel. Firstly, the connection is not good by any standards and does not deliver what was promised. Secondly, Airtel disconnects the connection from time to time and I raised that their was a direct relation between the blackouts and the time spent online. As you try and stay online longer, the blackouts become more frequent.
Now, after a year of being in the US I just returned to my native in Kochi, Kerala. I am here for 3 months and decided to take a prepaid connection and activate the Airtel Office so as to have internet access on my laptop while I am on the move. Firstly, no one at their call centerseemed to know how it works. I was not able to get information as to how to activate it, weatherI must buy the recharge coupon and charge it to my phone first or should I wait for them to send the settings to my phone. This went on for three days and a person made me wait until 11:30 pm so that I receive and save the settings to my phone. I then called and asked to be transfered to someone with more knowledge of GPRS. The concerned person then asked me to charge my phone with the GPRS coupon and that the settings will be sent to me with in 48 Hrs. Now it's been four days and I am still waiting for the settings and so that I can be online.
My sister uses my previous connection with Airtel (6 yrs old) which is a corporate connection. This month while I was in Bangalore, I made the payment of Rs.1300 by cash for the bill amount of Rs.1234. When I received the printout of the payment received slip, it read, "Payment received with thanks from" and my name in print (all bold). I was in a hurry and was happy that I got most of my work done on that day. A week latter my sister calls me and tells me that representatives from Airtel are calling to ask her to make the payment. They say that I have not made the payment and that they will require the slip to confirm. Now, I do not have the slip ith me, this is a mistake on my part but the fact that this is happened to me thrice in the last two years is a matter of concern and I believe that all consumers with Airlet postpaid accounts must be warned of the concern.
I am currently working in sahara news group as senior correspondent. The bill generated for the month of may is approximate Rs. 650. The particulars of the bill state that i have made a call to 609 on the 27th of the may for a duration of 1 hour and 30 minutes which is absolutely incorrect. This is a game plan people use to fool all of indians residing in rural areas. This Airtel makes so many adv. about its bill payment status but foe example I, using Airtel -Tamilnadu mobile with a/c no starting 114-********* unable to pay bill via any of internet / bill gateways because they want only city related bills only. If you go thro the AIRTEL WORLD payment gateway our city bank when it says it accepts any other VISA credit cards it spits wrong reports as " date of expiry not correctly entered " or " you don't have sufficent funds " etc. so can't use the system. If you prefer to make complaints to CITI bank or AIRTEL, simply no answer and your complaint automatically closed after a while.

Ten months (not clearly) before, one signal tower builds nearly my campus, the cell info display as MK UNIVERSITY. So there is no problem to arise in your network coverage.
But now a time, a new signal tower builds in VADAPALANGI village which is nearly 3 Km from the University. So we can’t reach the correct connection. The people thought may be it is Signal traffic Congestion problem. So you should be taken a necessary action regarding this matter.

I wanted my existing internet connection functional in my another room too where Airtel Land Line connection already existed. It took 21 days of patience and perseverance to get it done after continuous reminding. Their commitment that after every 4 hours delay Rs 100/- will be credited to the complainant was requested to be implemented. My e-mail was replied after about 4 weeks through auto generated reply that delay in replying is regretted and my complaint has been forwarded to concerned dept for their action. I am still awaiting reply/action to refund as per their commitment.

IF customers got rejected for Airtel prepaid account, your agents are not willing to return the (id proof and other docs) proofs which the customer has given before. This might cause a serious problem in future by mis-using these proofs by the agents. This is for your information.
My self i am HariBabu, i have applied for a prepaid account on February 7th, 2009 and submitted the Residency proof of rental agreement and 2 passport photos. Same day number got activated and after 3 days de-activated saying that rental agreement is not valid.
After some days i have submitted another proof of voter id and 2 photos of my wife. Still my account doesn't got activated. They have given a reason that, since i have given the proofs one month later, this SIM card is not valid.

airtel is proving to be the worst service provider amongst its competitors. It's bosses are sleeping ignoring clients grievances. The day is not away when customer will not look at it. It is still not late for its bosses to wake up and look at after sale services. Following is the horrific experince I have also faced rather still facing:

In continuation of our discussion on 29th Sep 2006 regarding my billing irregularities by AirTel, I am furnishing the following details as requested by you and as part of your continued personal efforts to satisfy all SATYAMites.
Please note I took my 2nd AirTel Mobile connection on 24th August 2006 with M. No: 9ssss and Account Number 10ssssss with Basis Bill Plan CUG 499 Plan with plan benefits includes, Local M2M 499 Mins Discount and 499 Local and National SMS Free.
FYI please note in your previous bill dated 27th August 2006, plan benefit Local M2M Mins Free was implemented and billed correctly.
But suddenly to this contrary and to my surprise, I received your latest bill dated 27th Sep 2006, with billing irregularities stating only 499 minutes Local A2A Free (Means Airtel to Airtel Free).
This act is outrageous, unethical, unprofessional, misleading and misinformation campaign resulting in duping and cheating of customers by Airtel.
Further while contacting your call center on 29th Sep-2006, I asked the concerned person to put me on to his manager and I was kept on hold for 30 mins and suddenly they disconnected the call and the person was so rigid in answering and trying to justify the billing.

I have raised a request regarding the shifting of my broadband connection(#4187022) on 19-sep-2011.Still I am not getting any response from your end. I am wondering for a new connection you peoples will provide within 3 days then why for shifting it is taking this much time. I think Airtel is not interested in the existing customers.
Now lot of options are available in the market and some another vendors are providing connection at low cost. The money currently I am paying monthly to Airtel in that rage some another service provider offering me 3 times the speed which I have now but still we are stick with Airtel because as of now I am satisfied with your service and the main thing make me happy is the anytime customer support also but now am very depressed to say that I got some bitter experience from your customer care, they are not at all listening my worries and giving false update for me also. I am confused what is going behind the background, I don’t have any problem on that I will go for a new service provide available in my area. But I will notice this customer harassment to my Company because it is CUG plan refers from my company. You are aware It will escalate in that level Since I am using that connection for my working from home option. I have told all these things to your executive they will tell sir, tomarrow your connection will get ready I am going to make this request as high priority but nothing happened.
As a customer my problem is genuine my connection need to shift but I am not getting a single call from your end yet now and while I am calling to customer care such type of misleading comments I am getting.
I am requesting the authorize person to check what happened to my request and if it is possible please provide me resolution to my request otherwise please let me know so I can go ahead and select for another vendor connection they can hear my worries. Telling frankly We are not expecting this type of response from Airtel like a big organization, we have a faith on your words please keep it as valuable.I just have a look for the complaint mail id in ‘google’ I can see a bunch of complaints in different sites, please have look on this issues otherwise it will get spoil the name AIRTEL.
Hope I will get a positive reply from your end ASAP .Because I don’t have the patient to wait some more days for an internet connection because now the internet connections are available in the market within hours I want to notice the same to Airtel.

I had there service for over one year and trust me they have the worst customer service you can imagine. They call operators and not trained at all and if they can’t answer the question they just hang up... hhhahha iz kinda funny as to if you sign up with them you wont get any credit if your bill comes all F*****up with weired charges and the worst thing is that is the best mobile service provider in India. Don’t get airtel connection.
Airtel customer support is very bad. I was a loyal customer to airtel but this incident changed my mind. My cook had stolen my phone today around 7.15 pm.I called up airtel office to find out information of the call. Mithun (Customer care representative) picked the call and explained his rules etc for not giving information. I asked him to transfer the call to supervisor but they said no manager available and all the managers gone for tea.Suggested that i need to file FIR as lost case etc. Airtel supports person who steals by the time i complete their process person will run away with my cell phone and sell also.
Next CSR James D asked me to drop the phone or he will disconnect.this cell was costly and office work would suffer as client calls on the same but no one allowed me to talk to manager or supervisor. The worst thing is they were making fun of customer.Very bad customer support. I will go to consumer forum for this.

I am subscriber of Airtel since May, 2006. I put a several complaints regarding poor connectivity in Amrutha Valley, Road No.12, Banjara Hills 7 months back. Actually they are cheating. See the below incident
Since Last two, three months got more billed amounts for post paid. actually my habit is to to send useful sms to my friends. So I asked to customer care to know about some sms package for CUG plan.
Somebody form customer care said we do have Rs.25 sms unlimited package. Then I load to activate immediately. To get conformation again I called and asked about whether it has been activated or not. Some one piked the call said that we dont have that kind of package its only foe 250 sms. Then next day again I called and asked about once more what i said above. They said 'sir we do have' Then Immediately activate it. To get confirmation again I asked they told to send sms . Then I send But i did not receive the confirmation. again called and asked about the issue. they told that still not yet activated.
Then scolded and to unlimited sms package activate. Finally i requested "i am going for prepaid. But they did not agreed. again they convinced me. this conversation happened continuously for 3 months.
Finally I send many sms to 121 airtel about my complaint. They called me asked the issue.
I clearly explained everything. Finally the senior position level person attended the called. He apologized and he said that the regarding this issue will be solving within 2 days. I got call from them within 2 days said that we will be generating for u the bill with sms amount deduction.
and also they said we are assure that will not come the bill with sms amount. Its entirely free for u like that they told. one more think he told like after generated the bill please don't forget to call us regarding rework the bill and send.
Next day called and I said that Ya I have received the bill please rework the bill and send. But still they did not done. But I recored all the conversation which I was spoke to them.
Within a week I planning to put the case against the airtel.
my problem is that I can't contact with customer. whenever I try to call customer care service .. a computerise tone beep up saying that I should send sms to 121 for complain and after sending my problem I didn't got any satisfaction.. I tried another mobile and contact customer care and told about my problem. they give me guarantee but still problem is not gone. So, please do somethng..
i strongly agree that even the same incident happened to me and they have provided me incorrect information by one csr, and the other csr instead of transfering the call to manager , he disconnected it intentionally . even the team leaders and the floor managers donot have any commitment to their promise.
i have to go through the media , and email the same to the CEO , if im not justified with satisfaction ,
evidently they have agreed that it was the mistake of AIRTEL for providing the incorrect information and misleading customers.
here i would like to highlight the fact that ,
under the law, no company is allowed either intentionally or unintentionally mislead /or give incorrect information would legally bind over the company and as well as the staff with a bad reputation left on the company.

In meantime some stranger has added my no to (cug) friends list because of this i have lost my connection with that ad on no (10paise scheme).
In this connection in the cug scheme without getting the permission of the members u can add them to the list this will make loss to another person.This is totally a faulty system which is causing big money loss to me
Now i have disconnected from the ad on no.
On saturday 25th oct, 2008 I have done online transaction of prepaid recharge of Rs 55/- but i couldnt get anything & Rs. 55 also debited from my account. This is a real cheating by the bank or the airtel i am not sure. I recommend others not to use this service.

This is to inform others that Airtel Franchise Silver Line Network, No.12 MG Road, Shastri Nagar, Adyar, Chennai 600 020 has sold a Internet Data Card (Number [protected]) to us with a confirmation that this card is compatible to use with Outlook Express and usage of this card will enable to send receive emails through Outlook Express.
This card was bought by us for the purpose of using it during outstation trips to send and receive emails. However in my next trip to new Delhi, when I have attempted to send emails through this Data card, I could not do so. I have taken up this with your franchise through whom this card was bought and they have promised to send their representative to look into this. Nobody has come to attend this.
We have taken up this with Airtel technical support and we have been informed that this Data Card cannot be used / compatible with any email account and the use of this card is restricted to browsing the internet alone and we were told that we should direct the sales outlet to contact them for further clarification to this effect.

The online transaction of prepaid recharge has flopped i guess because i recharged it for Rs.55 but i could get only Rs.20 instead i guess around Rs.45.This is a real cheating by the banks or the airtel i am not sure but can anyone clarify in this issue.

Yesterday i purchased an Airel Prepaid card which is Rs 100 only for incoming .
But when is enter recharge pin, it was not accepting, saying the facility is not available in your card.

not giving free flight offer!
In the month of jan 06 airtel launched a scheme of free flight offer with every connection with some condition and a am within that condition i.e monthly rent of rs 349 or more etc. I am in the plan of 599, so i qualified for that free flight offer. After 3 paid bill they are sending registration form but unfortunately they are fail to send that form. So, i complained to floor supervisor about registration he assured me that you will get the benefit. In the month of june 18 bill rs 500 deducted in my bill for free flight offer, and up to now the are not giving that offer and today they told that that offer is now finished and you do whatever you want.
In the whole case i am having proof of enrollment form of free flight offer and i am having that bill of june in which they deducted rs 500 as a registration charges. I request to all the people not to believe airtel about any offer for promotion for the selling postpaid cards!

Airtel Tamilnadu is cheating the customers by activating the Value added services like Caller tunes without the knowledge of the customers. When I called up customer care, they said sorry and deactivate it, but no refund of the amount charged. I have two mobile number under my name. I got these mobile number when i joined a company in Bangalore. From that day onward i had given ECS that all my bills should be charge on my saving account. Later i had changed from saving account to credit Card. Since then all my bills where charged to my Credit Card.
Off lately i get call from the customer care that i need to pay my bill. This was not the first time this has happened. This was the second instance. Again i told then that standing instruction have been given that bills should be charge my my credit card. Today i got my Credit Card bill and what i found is that they have billed me twice with the same amount. At the moment i am not in India. Otherwise i would have called to the customer care and taken left right. I have to come to India and solve this problem. I want that airtel should give me a written letter that this think will not happen again and they should also pay compensation amount and my air ticket fare.

Airtel employ ( I don't know name ) told me about a Plan 998 that airtel connection rent for one year is 998. She told me that Rs 1/ STD and RS .5/ for local calls. I have broadband connection for Airtel. She told me 5% discount for broadband bill and 5% discount for mobile bill. I was asked " any other charge in this plan like clip charge " she says no…… other charge.
After taking your plan, when I got first bill, I find many other charger which she did not tell me. Charge like STD A2All pack@ Re 1/- (Rental Re 30) and CLIP Charge (Re 50 )& provisioning.
I have complained to 121 to Mr. Surya kant. I discussed about this. I said I can’t help you - reference number- [protected] and other complained reference number number is [protected].
But no response was there.
That is my worst experience with Airtel. It was froad with me. Your employ tell a lie. your employ cheated for selling the plan. That is a case for forgery. Nobody will faith at Airtel.

So I've been with Airtel for years and for the past 2 months its been nothing but a pain in the ### dealing with these guys. So heres my story... I called customer care on june 19th and asked them to bill me on a new plan , the 399 home, and i was told it would be activated as of july 5th since thats when my billing recycles. I said no problem and hung up. one month later i get a bill of 4800 or somethin and i see my bill plan hasnt changed... so i call up airtel and they agree that the mistake was made but i'll have to pay. I being the kinda person who doesnt take ### from anyone, told em off and i get a call 2 days later saying ive been compensated Rs. 305. i found it ammusing.. I asked them for a REVISED bill cuz i believe i shouldve had a larger discount. Apparently, Airtel CANNOT revise. I must have made many phone calls , more than 20 to Airtel to actually pay my bill. I hate being cheated nor do i like cheating anyone so i thought its better to pay the revised bill plan. I even emailed 121 but no reply. After, i got billed for the wrong bill plan again so i decided enough is enough and i told them i want a revised bill plan plus compensation. I was told that i could go check my bill myself and do the calculations worth over Rs8000 of calls and i would agree that they've made the right compensation or revision whatever they're calling it. I told them that its ridiculus a company is asking his costomer to go calculate his bill himself and that compensations are not givin. I've lived in Africa, UK, Canada and the states and in all those countries without asking you are givin compensation cuz the motto is "Customer is always right" but I was told that in India this doesnt happen by our beautiful custome care agent of Airtel. I told that its a privatized company and its not indian but she said so waht, its in india and we dont do that. So i guess in India customers are told off and the company is always right. This for sure is going to constumer courts.
I have taken the CUG Corporate post-paid Mobile connection with Airtel. It is a stupid mistake by me that I chose this bloody connection. Airtel and IBM has the conglomeration which seems to be of no use to IBM employers. Airtel's employees are playing smartly with the Operations team of Airtel.
No-one Actually turns up and still they convey to their supervisors that they are following up. It has been more than 38 days since I got this bloody Airtel Connection on July 22, 2007 and now its September 01, 2007.
Their one of the Address-verifying executive came to one of the shop and took the signature of mine and told me that he has verified the address details. To my surprise, he lied to me.
Now, when I asked the Airtel Department to cancel the service on August 26, 2007 they requested multiple times to re-consider my decision. To give them another try to the Retention department, I told them to contact me at any point of time via phone. They told me that they would be coming to my home/office at that particular day itself. To my surprise they did not even bother to turn up to phone me at my alternate phone numbers.
This confirms that agents are careless and degrading the level of service. They are charging for the service charge and threatening that I have to pay for the MRC for the unused service (150 Rs). The catch is that I never thought that I would be treated in such a manner.
I have deposited more than 1000 rs for the Advanced rental plan and the only option seems to me to go to Consumer Court.

Airtel customer care sucks! Airtel is useless. They don't respect their customers. Airtel is really bad. I was an airtel pre-paid user. Airtel guys called me a lot of times to get a post-paid connection. After a few days, I decided to go with their best scheme in post-paid with the highest rental plan.
It was called india-roam 399 plan. The airtel guys came to my office to collect the deposit and required documents. After a few days again there were a couple of guys from airtel there at my office for address verification. Everything went well. They promised to get my phone working in 4 working days and finally these guys managed to get it working in 8 working days.
After around 10 days, when I wanted to go to some other state, maharashtra to be precise, I called up airtel to check my roaming status and they said, it was on hold as the address verification was not done. I was shocked to here as the address had been verified a long time back. They registered a complaint for that which was stupidity.
I had told them my concern. I was going out of bangalore for 15 days after that. I wanted my phone working.
My roaming was not activated. I was without phone for 2 days. Then they activated my phone only for incoming calls. I registered a couple of complaints again after that. For all of them, they changed the status to "closed". Then again I get another shock of my life. They inactivate my sim. All incoming and outgoing calls are blocked. I had requested in my complaints for a call back from a manager. No calls! And my cell phone is not working. The customer care doesn't register my complaint. My phone is still not working for 10 days now. Number - [protected].
Airtel customer care sucks. They treat customers as dirt.
Suggestion for new guys: avoid airtel. Your phone wont work when you want it the most.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
I have taken a airtel prepaid connection 3 days back and yesterday i have contacted coustomer care executive calling 121 and they told me to approach airtel visakhapatnam branch only and as i went there they r telling that it will be activated within one hour/when ever i go there but it is not working. Kindly see that my connection is activated at an earliest.

Worst service from airtel post paid customer service. Hey hav ppl who doest kno respecting theor customers. The agents are jus rubbish, who use abusive words on call. They plead us to take the service and then call us and insult us with bad words. From 3 months im facing torture from these ppl. One day it was extreem 3times a lady called me and spoke abusively. The number was +[protected]. I called to the numbers to complain on these ###. But they just diconnected call several times. Today some how i got thier one HR number (as per the executive). But no luck. These ppl hav no manners of spking to customers. Before completing my words he putt my cal on hold n later he dint pick the call and now the number is busy for hours. This is pure torture. I need highest escalation on this.these

Airtel Customer care is terrible and completely useless. My internet wi-fi had been password protected. since it wasn't done in my presence i wasn't given a password. I wanted to use the wi-fi on my phone and asked them to help retrieve or change passwd. Calling cutomer care was a pain. first i had to go through a recording which made me punch a whole lot of buttons just to listen to my balance. after nearly 5-6options i managed to get through a representative.
standard procedure is to check random configurations just to make you waste your time. I repeatedly told her that i just needed to reset my passwd and that nothign is wrong with the internet. She went on with her investigations and concluded that my alternate computer was not cofigured to use the wi-fi. I finallya sked her to just send a representative home. This was on 10th April. She concluded that the matter would be resolved latest by 12th april !
Conversion of post-paid to my name not going though even after the No-Objection and All the relevant proofs submitted. First time they sent me back saying there needs to be NOTARY on the address proof.After getting that they are now saying that the No-Objection From the company has expired.(The No-Objection was date Aug 24 and they are saying that there is an only one month validity for the No-Objection ) which is really ridiculous. I dont know where are such pathetic rules originating.Even more this delay has been caused only because of them(Requirement of NOTARY on Address proof).This they are saying once I have cleared all the arrears and also paid deposit for a specific plan. I wanted to change this post-paid only to avoid the pain of communication and related formalities at other places like bank's etc. Now it is really looking painful getting this connection when I have better options of changing to BSNL/DOCOMO..etc.
Also the signal quality of airtel is pathetic in many parts of Bangalore which has really pissed me off.I have no signal in my home.Over this the ridiculous meaningless formalities that needs to be done for the transfer...
The Airtel Customer care service is really really worst, they don’t have basic manners/courtesy to speak to customer. If they cannot solve your problem they will simply disconnect the call. More over this is encouraged and always practiced by their floor in charge (Supervisors).
I spoke to Airtel Customer care and as the executive on call was not able to solve my technical issues, I insisted to speak to his supervisor, what was really shocking was most of the times they call some other executive and then he will pretend and speak as if he/she is floor in charge. At last i could speak to a real supervisor (Named: Manohar from Bangalore customer care/Technical support) and he too disconnected my call in-between and did not even bother to call back (incase if the call got disconnected accidentally).
I took the pain and called them again to just know why they disconnect the call like this, and when i asked the previous person name they said his name is Manohar, just Manohar
without any last name or Surname. They all tried just to confuse me so that I cannot complain against that particular person.
WORST things started when they were giving all wrong information about my SMS recharge; they were creating their own offers randomly on the call and were trying to somehow convince me to forget my Recharge benefits.
I am really shocked with this kind of service as 80% of my offer validity went in their problem solving and complaining process. Now that I have completed the offer time they are saying that I cannot use the benefits as the offer validity is over.
I am speaking about this issue to my friends and they too have similar issues with Airtel service, we all will post this and other problems in all possible social networks and make sure others don’t get cheated.
I have been using a postpaid connection of Airtel (CUG connection) for the past 5 years.
My problems started when I shifted my house 3 months ago. I called up customer care and informed them about billing address change. they noted down my address and said everything is ok. The next month I received my bill to the new address and everything seemed to be fine.
However the following month I did not receive any paper bill. I then called up customer care and asked for a bill. They send me an e-bill and a paper bill. From the e-bill I found that the billing address had reverted back to the old address! So the reason I did not receive the bill in the first place was because it had been sent to the wrong address.
I called up customer care again to inform them of this problem on their part. They registered a complaint for change of address which was stupid on their part. After that I received around 6-7 sms from airtel about this address change and 4-5 different persons called regarding the same. Each time I contact customer care or they contact me, I talk to a new person so I had to explain the situation every time. This was really frustrating.
After a couple of weeks, an executive from airtel called me and said he will come to my house to collect an address verification proof. He did not turn up on time. He called and informed he will come later, but he never did. Exactly 1 week after this, I found out that my postpaid connection which I had been using has been disconnected. When i called up customer care, they said it has been disconnected because of address verification failure.
However, for the last 2 days my number has been disconnected. When I checked with customer care, they said my address verification has failed and my number has been temporarily disconnected. It is not fair on Airtel's part to suddenly disconnect the number without any intimation.
How can they screw up a simple address change request? Airtel customer care really sucks! I'm still waiting for a resolution to this

I have airtel prepaid connection from the last year. Its lifetime prepaid connection but I give puk code by the mistake so many times bcz my pin code change or blocked by some other person. Thats why my sim is rejected why this happens I don't know. Please advise someone!

STOP THESE DAMN SMS from 290603. Its costing me 3Rs everytime there is an SMS. Thse are unauthorized charges. Airtel has no rights to charge us for these VAS downloads. I would like to disable all VAS downloads. But I havent been able to do so.

I had a cell connection from airtel bangalore ([protected]). I have requested to disconnect the phone in june 2006 as I was out of the country and I am not using the phone at all. I don't have any contract/agreement regarding the connection. I sent several mails since june 2006 and called the customer care several times. Still airtel is deducting the monthly post paid amount from my bank account.
Need help on how to stop that and how to get the deducted amount back from airtel.

Sub: Deplorable levels of glitches reach a new hight!
Unfortunately, I've reached a level of frustration that makes me waste my time off to do this!
I'll get straight to the point.
Opted for service offered by this blessed company called NOP. Activated it immediately. Didn't work too well, and neither does it's deactivation procedure because I've been trying to deactivate it since March 7th 2007!
Have called customer service (poor poor POOR service) - and i wouldn't hold the executives at fault for this - It's simply this company who has no vision as to how their customers should be treated.
Anyway, in 2 days, it'll be a month since I've been trying to deactivate this damn service. To no avail. Inspite on not using the Net on phone feature (some feature but i wont go there, or I'd be referring to complaint number 2!) - i get debited Rs 5/- (IF NOT Rs 10/-) every single day!
On calling, I'm told, within 48 hours I'll get my refund and with immediate effect, they'll be no more debits. This has been for 4 weeks now.
Yesterday i manage to get a nice chap on the phone with some phone manner (no thanks to Airtel i'm sure, only his upbringing did the trick to keep me calm). He assured and assured the same thing I've mentioned above.
Asked for a ticket number or a complaint number and unfortunately his system takes 10 minutes to generate it. Upon offering to hold, he says he cant be on "a" call for longer than 10 minutes and was in a sudden hurry to hang up!
I waited and it has now been 48 hours. I now ask... WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU'LL UPTO! This isn't the first time I've faced a problem with your networking and I'm not the only one winging about it either.
Unfortunately, mine is a business phone hence my number cannot be changed. So rest assured i will not give this one up without a fight.
If i don't get a response (and a bloody good one) i will make sure i find my way to the papers. And as I'm sure you already see (with the vision you so evidently portray) - i can write till my fingers bleed.

I am a dealer of airtel prepaid in Chandigarh. I would like to say that i have my counter in Transport Area Sector-26 in Chandigarh where i am doing my business. Most of my customers are from other states i.e. not from the Punjab Telecom Circle, so i have been facing a lot of difficulty since the past two years as i have not been provided with any demo sim for "EASY RECHARGE" purpose from the distributor here (Kohli Brothers Sec-26 Grain Market chd).
I am not asking you for any demo sim in this mail from the company but I just want to request you to provide me with a dealer sim, which may or maynot have discounted call rates but can be used to recharge other people's accounts, for solving this easy recharge problem i am facing.
Because of this problem, I am not able to convince customers for adopting an Airtel connection as in future I am helpless when people come to me for "Full Value Recharges" or special scheme denominations including free sms packs, discounted roaming recharges etc.
It would be a great help for me in attracting people towards Airtel if you could provide me with a sim for just recharging purpose (even if the call rate is at par with the normal call rate and not like the demo sims). There are a lot of people here in Chandigarh who do not have anything to do with easy recharge but have been "MISUSING" demo sims since a long long time.

Message was sent to my airtel connection regarding the service of getting bills through e-mails. I have a postpaid connection. I subscribed to the service by sending sms. I sent an sms later on, to stop e-bill service. I do not know what to do. I haven't received any communication from the customer care.

I have taken a new connection of airtel delhi on 02-08-2006. before taking the connection i enquired from their customer care executives of airtel office that can i avail for a particular plan of std. they confirmed and i did the need ful by sending the required sms for activating the service.but after 3 days i came to know that they have forcibly put me in some other scheme & told that i have to continue with their special gift scheme for next 1 month. then i contacted their team leaders of cce & their manager & they commited that i will get my preffered scheme by 48 hrs, which i did n't. then i went to their main office & got my preffered scheme. after that i requested them to deactivate their other fored services of caller tunes and daily jokes. they deactivated the caller tune but said that the joke sheme would be deactivated on 01-09-2006. but they have not deactivated the scheme and have prevented me from contacting their customer care executives overphone . i am realy dissatisfied and really want to take a action against them because this is their fraud for the second time within 1 month

Warm greetings to every one at airtel. I am forced to send this complaint to you as the circumstances are pushing me to do so, to be honest to you I am very upset about a few things which has happened to me recently, in terms of customer service airtel was right on the top in my list, however few things have made me so upset that I had tears in my eyes yesterday.
Complaint:my sim card got rejected due to some error on 29/08/2006 at around 6-7 pm, the very next day I walked in to the fraser town outlet yesterday morning around 11:30 am and I got a replacement card for my number. The lady there called nafisa did not make a note of the new sim number she gave me (As told by the cse at your call center) and sim did not get activated, I am so upset by this lady coz when I went there also she dint give attention at all she was busy on some personal call outside she came in later and gave the new sim card without making a note of the sim number and she promised me it will be activated by 6:00pm yesterday, I do agree mistakes can happen but I did tell her that its very important for me for the sim card to be activated (Reason I was expecting call abt my promotion interview which I was desperate to know the results and a std call and isd call from parents abroad).
I spoke to an fla last night I was promised it will be activated by this morning but nothing has happened yet (Here I dont think its this agent error coz he was really helpful).
But please I request you to get my sim crd activated asap my alternate contact number would be [protected] and also whenever I try contacting customer care I get an ivr which says send your? Thru sms in 130 characters and we shall revert back to you and the call gets disconnected which is not a good customer service practice, this does not help us at all, we would like to speak to a person and get it sorted out.
Finally with relation to my bill payments I have been there with you for abt more than a year with mobile number ([protected] - which I lost and was asked to take up a new connection & [protected] - currently in use) I never missed out my payments till last month as had to pay some huge hospital bills, you can imagine health will the first priority so I paid the unexpected bills and I dint have any money, I some how managed to pay with my credit card but I still get calls from+916006 and text messages to make payments, I had some hello tune charges credited for abt rs.137 (And the airtel live facility also dint help me as anything I downloaded came as a (Question mark) in the middle of the picture with no download photo which I was disputing and dint the reply) which is still not deducted from my bill and my this month payment has come up to around rs.1777, would you please look into this and get things sorted out for me as I would still like to continue my usage of mobile phone with you as a service provider.
Gprs service in this area was pretty good but now has become worse for last one week. No response from airtel customer care centers.
1. I have tried to contact AIRTEL on 121 and [protected] to get my PUK code. But unfortunately the services are being handled by computerized answering machines with only few options to choose from and with no provision to know about PUK. Without a person to answer to such queries how can a customer be at ease with the service provider?
2. As a second option I have sent SMS to 121 for PUK code. I am prompted to type HELP and sms to 121 for a proper keyword. I have received 10 keywords, the last one relating to PUK code being ambiguous; as such even when I sent the keyword as mentioned in the message 10, I could not get the PUK code. Is there a way out?

I am working in Dubai and I have an Airtel lifetime connection for more than two years with roaming. I used to go for Airtel GPRS connection for internet every time I come to India. I have used the same in Mar 07 during my visit to India. I came on vacation to India for the period from 09-07-2007 to 26-07-2007 and I have done a easy charge for Rs.274 for my Internet connection on 07-07-2007 and it was suppose to be activated with in two days. But it was not active after two days. I called them every day more than two to three times for the activation they always use to say that it will be activated by next day but it never activated till I return back to Dubai on 26-07-2007. I paid my money for nothing. Now I am looking for email contact complaint.
The simcard No. [protected] was purchased from Airtel franchise M/s Gopal Electronics, Chembur, Mumabi 0n 8th July, 2007 and submitted the required documents next day to the franchise. The phone was activated and after about 15 days, it was deactivated stating that the documents are not received. All the documents were again submitted to airtel center opposite Acharya Udyan, Chembur on 16th August, 2007. The phone is still not activated as on today the 21st August. 24 hours for activation is a tall claim.

I have been trying to get my mobile connections No.[protected] & 149 with bharti airtel disconnected for the past month or so as I found that the services were extremely deficient and tardy from the word go. I had also been misled on the schemes at the time of joining or perhaps I was really dumb at the time. Now I am finding that the number is not getting disconnected although the reply from them to each email informs me that action would be taken. No one from the company has contacted me so far. Meanwhile they continue to bill me. My deposit will I fear be lost as a result.
I am now considering taking the company to the c0nsumer court.
There has been problem of network resulting into call drops and voice breaking for last one and a half month. I have talked and registered complaints with thousand of customer care executives and there managers but to no effect. As they always tell that they have not received any feed back from their technical team. Don't know where to escalate the complaint. There has been not even a single call back on this issues which is being promised everytime i make a complaint with a deadline of 72/48/24/4 hours. I am totally disturbed with Airtel and their customer care!
My phone no is [protected].before coming to the UK (10-15 days) i had called the airtel helpdesk to cancel my a/c . I was told to submit my bill and give an application to the person who comes for the payment collection. I did that! Just before coming i called up to confirm that if its been canceled or not. They said they haven't got my application and they kept on charging me. I received a bill which i didn't want to pay as its was not my fault that nobody listened to me, but i still paid it as people were calling my home and harassing my family members... threatening them! Which is awful really!

I booked for an Airtel Postpaid connection online and money was detected from my account. A mail was sent by Airtel stating we will fix an appointment with you within 48 hours to collect documents and provide you a SIM.
Its been 3 days and I have no idea what's going on. My money is gone and there is no way I could check the status online from their website about my order coz I searched whole website and didn't find any option to track down my request.
This is so frustrating. They have no right to waste my time. If I knew I would have taken some time out and would have walked down to some nearest tore to get things done manually. I tried online service thinking it would save time. I was wrong. Airtel proved me wrong.

By last month i changed my airtel prepaid to postpaid connection, even i submitted all the necessary documents(including photo) and registration fees.Last week i asked them to activate ISD calls they told me that still now your address verfication is in pending, i told that one of your official came to home and got signed by my mother and also one of your official spoked me and explained all the details about the plan and billing details, but they didnt gave proper feedback.But today (i.e)12thjuly11 by 10pm my mobile showing that my sim is invalid and i called customer care they are saying that still now we didnt receive your photo and proof so your connection is temporarly stopped.Now my question is will your company provide me Prepaid or Postpaid Simcard without getting my photo and proof? How can you stop my connection without giving prior intimation to me.

I have taken airtel postpaid number, and registered complaint so many times for the network problem i am facing..Everyone who is calling me getting a message tht my mobile is out of reach, when it is not. for last three months I am calling them n tired of taking reference number but hasnt recieved my money...
Anyone please tell airtel that if they keep doing it they will have to pay a heavy price someday when they will be dragged to court of law...

My Airtel No is [protected] (of Guwahati, Assam) At 20:44:20 today (13th June) I received a Service Message from Airtel, which was cancelled.Then came another Message to inform me, "Thanks for downloading Animation from Airtel Live WAP Service.You've beencharged Rs 15. " Yhis came from [protected]. When I replied thru SMS, the same was not delivered. When I sent STOP to 121, I received an SMS stating that that there was no service active on my Number.
This uncalled for deductions are taking place regularly in the name of downloading non existent animation or whatever from Airtel live WAP service. Mr Mittal and be honest in your dealings with your valued customers
Just filling your company's coffer through unfair and dishonest means will not help. Many like me are quitting Airtel as there is no dearth of telecom Cos.

I am not asking to activate the sms system ( A to A etc. in 0.30 p.) in my airtel mob.[protected]. Then also activating and deducting Rs. 14 in every week. Request to pls cancel such activation without the customer's knowlege.

With deep regert I would like to state the following:
1) Ours is a construction company registered by the name M/s Kumar Colonisers & Construction Private Limited with H.O. at H-101, Vijay Stambh, M.P. Nagar, Bhopal-462011
2) Our service provider for cellular phones is Airtel and ours is a corporate connection with nearly 36 SIMs in CUG.
3) For the last one year we are facing lots of problem, if we want to enhance of add or deleat any of the additional services provided by your comapny; apart for incoming & out going call. Our Complaint stands as follows:
a) The attitude of your customer care officer assigned to take care of our corporate connection is very careless. The response time of your this officer is very very slow. Also, there are wrong assurances for the officer concerned.
b) Though we have not purchased this SIMs ( nearly 36 nos.) in one go, but majority of SIMs ( nearly 28 SIMs) were purchased at one go; and we added additiona SIMs as & when required.
c) Even after repeated requests to your officer to syncronize the billing cycle for all the SIMs, it is not take care of. we have been making this request for past seven months. It becomes very difficult for our accounts department to make payments of all the SIMs at differential dates; and at time the payments for some of SIMs gets overdue- hence resulting in disconnection of services for that particular SIM. Even after the making paymenst against that differential billing cycle bill, the restoration of services takes at least 5 days. Latest example is CELL No:-[protected].
d) Now coming to the first hand experience:- my cell no is :- [protected]. On 27th of June 2008, i made a telephonic request to the customer care officer for activating ISD facility on my cell phone. I was told to deposit the additional security amount of Rs. 1500 & making a formal request regarding the same. One of my officer compiled with the requirement on 27th of June 2008. On the morning of 29th of June 2008 at 3.00 am I tried to make a international call from international airport- to confirm the timely departure of the aircraft ( my sister was travelling )- just to confirm the taxi arrangement at destination country. Alas, to my shock the ISD facility was not activated till then. On the same morning at around 9.00 am I contected the concerned customer care officer, and I got a very indifferent reply that, today being sunday nothing can be done. OK-no problem. But on being asked about the reason to non activtaion of this facility- even after making the formal request in 2 days advance----the reply was" as the superior officer on leave it cannot be done ( surprised----is delegation not a practise in India). On being asked about the contact number of that superior officer --- I was denied. Reason----today is Sunday ( WOW---we are talking customer care here --24 x 7--------Great). Ultimately --the required servise of ISD got activated on 30th of June 2008---almost 4 days after making the request ( Prompt services!)
e) The Cell No:- [protected]---very important to us business wise----could not be included in the same billing cycle till date. At times it leads to disconnection and every time I have to cut a very sorry figure.

i have been a customer of your airtel prepaid as well as postpaid services for the last 6 years.but for the last two days i am facing signal problems in the roaming network, which i have been using for the last 1 year.as soon as i enter in roaming network, all the signals are gone.when i called up your customer care executive, he denied lodging my complaint, saying that" he will lodge the complaint only when i, AIRTEL CUSTOMER will call the airtel customer care service from the roaming network, as i am facing the problem only in the roaming network."
this is really A SORRY STATE OF AFFAIRS FOR AIRTEL SERVICES.it is SHOCKING that a name like AIRTEL is DEFAMED due to its hired customer care executives.KINDLY LOOK IN TO THE COMPLAINT AT THE EARLIEST.

Once i got prerecorded call from airtel and it was about romantic tips ( i get massages every day through 3333). And every month money is bieng deducted for this service. I went to airtel customer care center and ask them that i don't want to continue with romantic tip sms massages.They told me to sms (unsub) at 123 and you will not receive massages. After few days i was not getting any massages. But from past few months i am receiving the romantic tips massages from 3333 and i have to pay unwillingly. So please let me know what you can do, or what i can do to stop this unwanting massages.
