over billing on my account
I received a notification that my bill for the month of August totalled to R1025. I called the call centre to query an I was informed that I am being charged for additional data that is supposed to be free but can not discounted this month because of a billing system but will be credited in September. What?
I further proceeded to cancel my cellphone insurance with c surance where according to the policy wording the cancelation is immediate but was told I will be billed for the last time this month but there is no cover.
The service I have received thus far is shocking and disgusting.

Please feedback on the insurance part of my complaint.
I spoke to a consultant from Csurance yesterday who confirmed that i am correct about the immediate cancellation and a prorated amount would be refunded to me. Also mentioned that they are busy speaking to cellc regarding the billing for the month of August - should be removed.
If calling me and cutting the call when i answer is what you call attempting to contact me then you need to recheck your records. I received a call from a 084135 number but the call cuts immediately after i answer.

data service and customer service
I earlier today contacted Cell C on their Facebook page, to ask what the issues was with the data service connection problems that I'm experiencing as well as thousands of other users. Later to find that I have been ignored, how I know this is that an additional enquiry came in on their posts and it was answered by the Cell C representative. My enquiry on the other hand still wasn't answered, so I decided to investigate. I found that they representative was online constantly yet still hadn't responded to my enquiry, further more I had noticed that all African clients were answered within 10 minutes where as Caucasian clients had to wait anywhere from 10 minutes to having no response at all (like myself) so clearly it's an issues of race as well. I am livid by this, my well being and work is affected since I can't connect to the Internet to make bookings for my client, they cannot help me or give me an indication as to what's the problem so I'm completely in the dark. I've just renewed my contract and now I'm getting now service from the contract of company, this is gross negligence and a breach of contract and will exercise my right to cancel it at no extra charge or fee because this is unacceptable.

no signal/ service
I have absolutely no signal since Friday the 9th of August. I don't know whether it's due to a fault on my sim card or something else. I tried everything I could think of to fix it. I restarted my phone several times, I even wiped my phone. It still doesn't work, and now I can't use Whatsapp, since I need a verification code, and I can't get any SMSes. I am very angry to say the absolute least, and I would appreciate some feedback from you. If this problem continues I will find another network provider.

overcharging clients
I recently did a sim swap for both my contract lines because my phone got lost, however I was initially informed I'll be charged R50.00 for each sim for the swapping. One of my lines was deactivated, when I called in today to activate the line, I was told there'll be an additional fee of R115.00 that will be debited due to the activation. I find this to be unethical because I'm already on a contract not prepaid, so why do I have to pay activation fees let alone being informed on minute 99 before activation about this fee. Totally disappointed with Cell C's way of doing business, cant wait for my contract to end.

I am beyond upset because of the problem you guys are having at the moment since 1st of Aug, without informing your clients. We have to struggle and think something might be wrong with our sim card, signal or router just to find out that the problem is with you Cell C. Seriously, for how many days more must one be without Data? You will credit me from the 3rd of Aug untill there where you eventually sort out your problem, if not I will take it further. The consultant at your Uitenhage Branch also said to me that this is not fair to us and should be credited! Every day I try to see if the connection is sort out and still nothing.
I need a urgent response on what's happening and how long must I be within data, I am running a business and need my data.

data package sim card
My name is Mrs SE Strydom, my number is [protected], I also have a data package contract of which I received an orange sim card in March 2019. Last week Thursday the sim card crashed. On Sunday 04/08/2019 I went (with my own inconvenience, waste of my time, waste of my money and petrol) to the Cell C shop in Carnival Mall. The sales lady Maphed was trying to assist me and said clearly that Cell C is having a hassle with the orange sim cards and that I can do a sim shop for R150.00 or she can do it on the contract and issue a new sim for R50. This is not acceptable I have been a Cell C client for 12 years and only have had the sim since March 2019 but yet Cell C wants me to pay for there mistake (not my fault I received a defected sim). I asked to speak to the manager of the shop. He was out and about in the mall and kept us waiting (after Maphed called him) for 20 minutes. His name is Desmond. I found him to be unfriendly with a very laid back unprofessional attitute and did not even pick up the phone to call or anything regarding my issue. This is the treatment that I receive after being a loyal client of cell c for over 12 years! This is not acceptable at all. So how is Cell C going to solve this issue? unsuccessful cancellation of subscription
The customer service and overall experience with Cell C has been utterly disgusting, to say the least. It is taking us 4 months to get someone from Cell C to cancel our data subscription from them, and it still hasn't been cancelled. That is multiple times a month that we have to reverse a debit order from our account and multiple phone calls to inquire as to why the subscription has not been cancelled. We phoned a month before the subscription had to be renewed, the call centre agent advised us to phone on a specific day which we did. On the day we cancelled the subscription, we were advised to phone the next day to check whether the subscription has indeed been cancelled which we did and we were assured that the subscription has been cancelled. Here we are, 4 months down the line still having the debit order going off for the Cell C subscription and still battling to get someone there to understand how to work their system to cancel a subscription. Utterly shocking and greedy! Not to mention the poor customer service from the arrogant call centre agent we had to deal with last.

ive been on cell c for years, i recently lost my phone and i have been trying to do a sim swap for the 3 passed days, hoever they keep telling i have fail security check, i even went to the branch in JHb newtown, they told me the same thing, i even brought an ffidavit from the police station, my ID book and proof of reseidence, and they still cant help me😡

without data for 6 days
I have no mobile data on my phone at all. I have a smart data package and the customer care center advised that all smart data package subscribers are without data, my work is dependant on data and i am really battling to perform my daily tasks without data. I dont understand how this problem can last so long. I find it unacceptable that this have been going on for 6 days already, I now have to pay additional money for prepaid data to be able to use my phone as I am dependant on data. I have been experiencing the same problem! I've been into my Cell C branch twice, the staff just shrug their shoulders and say it's a nationwide problem. It is now the 25th Aug and I am still experiencing problems with data, 25 days now! I work remotely and rely on my data package for work. The branch manager promised to contact me if I emailed him, I have done this 3 times without a response. I have phoned, been into the branch but nobody cares. They will happily debit my account at the end of the month and expect me to be ok with that. Anyone have any advise on this problem?!
charge cancelation fees after two years of paying
Cell c charge me cancelation fees after i didn't want to upgrade and served and PAID my full twp years of my contract i tried to resolve it and even have a message with a reference number saying i been refunded yet i still get messages about the arrears payments i been on the phone for more tgen an hour trying to resolve it probably for the 5th time yet i get send from pillar to post kept hold on the line for 29min and i have proof of that im so tired of rryi g bit no one helps and the consultants are rude treating you like your a criminal CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME

application and delivery of a device
I applied for a new contract on the 10 July 2019, till now I have not received the phone and when I call the contact centre they tell me stock has come in they will send it to me and so fought but nothing and when I speak yo your agents they are rude and evasive promising call back's but they don't ever call, this is the worst service I have ever received. It's been holds me back from taking out a contract with a new provider.

data connection problem
I have been struggling with my CellC data connection since Wednesday last week.
Up unto now, I had no support/assistance to get this fixed, other that some-one calling me and asking if it has been fixed, and then leaving it.
I use a Huawei B618s-d22 LTE router, which is about 3 months old.
The device connects to the mobile network, but it does not sustain a data connection.
I have taken the device to 2 other locations and from there I connected fine, so it is NOT the device.
If I get a connection that will not drop, I do not reach speeds of 3Mbps, avg about 2Mbps, and the download is horrendous.
I sit smack in the middle of your 4G coverage, using your online map, so do not try that as an excuse.
I used to get speeds of up 55Mbps down..
My bill jumped from the agreed 899 to 952, which no-one can/will explain.
I have sent an email at 7:20 this morning, not sure if CellC will respond though! unlike them

I have a data contract with cellc for Huawei P10 lite but I cannot use the phone or data because cellc has no internet connection on my phone for 5 days. Phoned customer service they referred me to technical support and they say they still sorting the issue out. Its been to long now and I pay my monthly installment for not be connected. Please help.

I joined Cell C in September 2018, assuming I would receive a better service than my previous SP and that my parents would not have any hassles. Since I was moving to another City. However in April 2019 the Lte Router stopped working. A call was logged and Cell C informed my family that they were working on the problem. In May 2019, I requested feedback, to be told they don't know what's wrong. The technical department don't know what's wrong. That there was no ETA. I asked to speak to the Technical department, however I was told that I was not allowed to. Numerous calls were made since. However Cell C continue to debited me. In July I received a call that I need to go to a Cell C store and cancel my account. They told me that they stopped covering my area. I was told that I will be refunded for the months that I received no service and will not be charged for an early cancelation. When I went to the store, they told me I need to call the cancelation department. Which I did numerous times before, however Cell C has a ridiculous setup that only a Cell C number can go through to their cancelation department. I don't have a Cell C number other than the Sim on the router, which is in Durban. When the store staff assisted me in contacting the cancelation department, I was told that I need to bring the router in for an evaluation and that they can't guarantee a refund or that I won't get charged for canceling early. This is utterly ridiculous, because I was not told this initially. I need this to be sorted now!

In gauteng, De Deur there is a major issue with the network. Every device in my house hold using a cell c device is loosing their connection to the internet, phone calls and text messages can still be made but its as tho weve turned off our mobile data. Also if use the USSD commands for cell c to send me my data settings, it tells me that it will come shortly but I dont receive them. This is an important problem because I have to use my data to upload assignments for college

I have called Cell C before I flew overseas to activate my roaming in order to make or receive call overseas. 2 weeks later I still have no connection, have called Cell C many times and they have told me it will be sorted out ASAP. Another week later and many phone calls I still have nothing and needed to make an urgent phone call but cannot. Cell C service is a joke as they cannot sort this simple request out. On Monday 26 July I was mugged and my cellphone was taken. It did not have the pin lokc password. I did not report it cos I thought its just a phone I can replace it, all my information is on my phone these thughs can do anything as they have tried to access my fnb online bankingg
I tried the branch in Boulders to ask for a sim swap i failed with 1 information
then I call the customer service to deactivate my number I was still not authenticated
Had I anticipated the incident I would have saved the data, last date I topped up etc for such questions.
These thugs can get away with anything yet the rightfull owner went through trauma and the energy to cancel bank cards etc.
The service is really not fair at all i am not asking for much just a security
