I was approved for a vehicle loan through Capital One and had the car for about a year without ever missing a payment. At the end of May, I traded in that vehicle for another one. At the time of the trade-in, my car note was not due, so everything should have been in good standing.
However, after the trade-in, I began receiving repeated calls from Capital One. I explained multiple times that I no longer owned the vehicle and had completed a trade-in. I was asked to provide supporting information, which I did.
Despite this, Capital One has negatively affected my credit report. I’ve made several attempts to contact your team and speak with a supervisor, but I’ve only been told someone would call me back — and no one ever has.
This experience has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. I regret choosing Capital One for my auto financing, and based on my experience, I would not recommend your services to others. If you have other financing options, I suggest avoiding Capital One altogether.
