Capital One Credit card

Sir/Ms, my name is Gary Prager. I have a checking, couple of savings accounts and a credit card with your bank. In one of my accounds I have in excess of $400,000.

My primary bank recently would not waive an annual fee for me which they have done in the past. For many years I utilized that card frequently with significant purchases/charges, (= record keeping). Never a late payment, often early.

So I decided to go with you Savoy 3% reward card. I applied and was denied. First time in my life I was denied a credit card. 811 credit rating and I remind you, "excess $400,000"

So as a result of that denial I will now be relocating that $400+ to another bank.

Just thought you, and more specifically the [censored](s) who denied me, would want to know that.

Capital One Purchase adjustments

I reported possible Identity Theft and the theft was by Capitol One. I simply reported possible identity theft. I NEVER REPORTED ANYONE! I just wanted to change my card. Capitol One comes in and selected individual transactions and tells me these merchants have been identified with Identity Theft and you have been reimbursed. You will receive 623.00 credit to your account.

June 24, 2022, I called to question a couple of charges and to request a new credit card. Capital One contacted me and told that there are numerous fraud charges on my account statement, and I will be reimbursed. I did not report these charges; this was their assessment. I assumed Capitol One knew what they were doing. After all, this is their job. Later, on Jul 12 and 13, I saw multiple purchase adjustments where the charges were reapplied to my account. So, I reviewed my at-home ledger. I never reported the charges as fraud.

Capital One then tells me that these were valid purchases. I never reported these charges as fraud. All of these charges were listed in my at-home ledger. I never would have reported these as fraud. This is ridiculous! I believe there is some sort of language barrier between your clients and your employees because it is very difficult understanding them while speaking to them on the phone. Now, even items I never reported as fraud and have returned to the store are listed as purchase adjustments.

Once this is cleared up, I am canceling Capital One and I want that 98.00 annual membership fee refunded (May 16) for Walmart Membership. This is where this all this began. I believe the Walmart employees and are at the root to all of this.

At this point, I do not trust this account, Walmart or Capital One.

Capital One Deactivating card cause the "system" detected fraud for charges I made

I went to make a purchase today I received a text asking if it was me I said yes the card still declined I call them they say it's cause of suspicious activity even after replying to the text saying I was making the purchase. I go through all the charges and verify they are from me they say I can use it. I try to make the purchase again still declined I call back again and was told the system detected fraud and deactivated the card a few days ago. They never called emailed texted nothing just waited until I tried to make a purchase and call them to see what's going on and then tell me it's been deactivated a few days ago. I told them I just talked to someone they said it was good to go now they say nope we have to send you another card even though I confirmed every charge. They don't even know what's going on one says it's able to be used since I verified every purchase and the other saying it's been deactivated for a few days now. They can't even get their stories right. The deal is that if I made this purchase today I would receive a $600 discount I told them that and asked if they were going to credit me $600 since they just screwed me out of that since I'm not able to make the purchase today they just said nope not their problem the system detected fraud so not going to do anything but send you another card. I have auto pay set up on a lot of accounts with a couple coming up in 2 days but the new card won't even get here in time plus now I have to go through and change the card # on all the auto pay accounts set up.

Desired outcome: Credit me the $600 I lost out on because that they screwed me out of

Payment was posted to my account from someone I don't know. Have called Capital One and they don't understand. There has been a restriction placed on my account. Want payment returned to owner and restriction removed.

Capital One Late payment fee

Yesterday 7/15/2022 I got an email that my credit card payment was past due. I DID NOT receive a bill in the mail. I immediately tried to go on line to pay it and couldn't get on the Capital one site so I called capital one. They kept me on hold for a long time saying they were checking to see if they could take it off, when they came back on they said no they could not remove the late fee. I did not receive a bill and don't feel I should have to pay a late fee and then the online site not accessible. Very dissapointed with Capital one.

Desired outcome: Would like the late payment fee refunded since Did Not receive a bill in the mail.

Capital One Credit card

I was a victim of credit card fraud and capital one claims to have a zero fault rule but after wiping away some of the charges they claim I am still on the hook for over $3,000 dollars. This is unacceptable and I should not owe what somebody charged on my card because they stole my number. My name is Nicholas Tones and I have been an account holder with them for years. The fraud is from July 2021 to January 2022. They did erase about 11,000 of the charges but claim I verified the other 3,000 which I never did

Desired outcome: erase 3,000 of fraud credit card debt

Mine is the opposite there was no fraud but the system detected some for some reason they deactivated my card didn't let me know about it I still wouldn't know about it other than trying to make a purchase today which if I made today I would get a $600 discount on and was declined so I called them to find out why. Even after verifying all the purchases were from me they'd send me a new card since they had already deactivated mine. I told them to not bother sending me another card and to eat [censored] I'll just use a different card for everything instead of them.

Capital One Referral

I’m referring people and not getting the bonus, when I call they give me the [censored] answer of the link works and one of the criteria wasn’t met, which based on the 3 criterias it isn’t true . All the criterias was met and yet still no bonus, this happened for both my referrals, I’m livid with capital one and will share this in my social media as this is a scam for you all to gain customers

I Receiving debt cards that I don’t even have any accounts in 2020 . Then another debt card came in June 2022 I never had any accounts with them & then 2 weeks later also June 2022 I received 14 envelopes with different account numbers that they closed in my name that I never opened up.

Capital One Fraud on cap 1 quicksilver visa ending in 8329

​I must put this in writing as I have gone through 3 different fraud alert persons, i.e., Milton (6/24/22), Willow (7/9/22) and Lezille (7/9/22).

My card number was changed, I know this because I see a different 4-digit ending number on my account. With my initial contact with Milton he was changing the card (done), sending it to my vacation address (181 Dunham Ave, North Bennington, VT 02257) and checking on the fraud complaints and then sending me an email when the card was sent and the fraud problems were resolved. I never got the card, I never got an email. Frauds still being charged.

I called again today 7/9 speaking with Willow giving her the same info. She looked it up and saw that the card had been mailed but since it had not been received by me would put a temporary hold on on the card. I expressed concern about my various accounts that automatically charge to this card. Would these not be accepted? What would happen? She left the conversation and there was no one on the other end. I kept saying hello, hello till finally Lezille picked up and I had to give her all the info again. She assured me Cap 1 would take care of everything for me. She told me the card actually had never been mailed. I asked that she not do it now as I will be moving on in a few days so will not get to me in time. I told her I would call when back at my permanent address and it could be sent to me there but not until then (my mail is being held by usps). I went into questioning about my fraud complaints as I saw I was still being charged for them. What had been the result. Because she needed to take all the info down again I was guessing nothing had been done. I was giving her a long convoluted explanation of the problem with the two ongoing Keto charges and the phone went empty again eventually disconnecting. Please what is going on? No one calls me back. No one sends me an email. I am frustrated.

Please, this is important and I can't keep calling if this is going to be the no-result.

CHARGES IN QUESTION:

6/21/22 Interest Charge:Purchase $2.68 (this was the second time charged by them--Cap 1 alerted me to the original charge which I answered that it was fraudulent) Why was this allowed again and why haven't I been reimbursed for either charge-- I don't understand.

6/17/22 BUY KETO NOW $24.98

4/29/22 HOLLYWOD KET FIT $31.98

(These are both the same source who have been sending me product which I promptly return and ask for them to cancel and to give me a refund. I have never heard back from them and they keep charging me -- there is only a PO box -- no phone results -- first PLEASE BLOCK THEM -- then Please try to recoup my $)

I REALLY like a resolution. If someone could PLEASE get back to me, it would be appreciated.

Capital One Disputed 900.00 charge for non receipt of merchandise and they closed the dispute!

Everytime I call I get someone that barely speaks english. I was charged 900.00 on April 05, 2022 from a merchant in Bourbonnais Il. Never received the items. Cancelled the items. Was told I could return items as long as the dress was unaltered. I never ever received the items. I cancelled them before I ever received anything as I was told I could do. I never received or signed a refund policy or statement, I was never told all sales are final, I was never verbally told about a refund policy or statement. Capital One transaction dispute department credited my account back the 900.00, then put it back on my account, took it off once again, then placed it back on my card. The merchant lied and gave written notice that I left the store with the merchandise the same day as the transaction. This is fraud, they are lieing.

Desired outcome: To be refunded for non receipt of items.

Capital One Changing name on my account

Hi -

I called Capital One Customer service twice to change the name on my account (name changed due to a recent marriage). Both times, the customer service rep informed me that they would send me an email with a secure link, upon which I could upload the requested information (W-2, Certificate of Marriage, etc.). Both times, the email did not come. The email address that I provided is the same email address that is on my account.

This is ridiculous and time consuming. It's a BASIC request and it shouldnt take this long.

Desired outcome: Send me the pertinent email to: [protected]@yahoo.com. If that's too much of a lift, send the pertinent text to [protected].

Capital One Credit card payment timelines manipulation

Capital one discrimination by time zones. Payments that are paid by 11:59 any time zone in the country you live should be still on time; not eastern time rules of dictatorship. Instead they are looking to manipulate the customers all on the west coast to getting late fees by there foolhardy rules.

When I called, Representative would only take payment for the next day, then by forcing a late date they expect fees.

Desired outcome: Except payments made, by the minute called on date due not manipulating time zones forcing late payment fees

Stop using the assumed name and live trademarked John Lawrence Rizzotto Jr I have written this up three times next time my name is used I will be filing in the district court of palm beach with trade mark infringement and extortion of social security and birthcerificate. I am a national registered in the post master office. The U.S treasury is notified, the state department is notified, the attorney general is notified I have a live trade mark, assumed name and American political status with affirmation of credentials on file. You are transgressing on a national sovereign I have the fees of notice to intent on file with capital one from my assembly and the next time I receive anything from capital one I will be taking you to court. I have the cfpb.gov already on file with alll the documents cease and desist you are violating the privacy act in common law

Brand new Samsung Galaxy A13. Your system states my browser is out of date. I find that hard to believe. I need it to work in order to login and, pay! Please resolve this issue.

i rec notification that i had been approved for a credit card. I have never recieved a card from you. However you do show i have an account. i have called your so called customer servive many times to no avail. sent you a letter no no avail. what is wrong with your company? Capital One Denial of credit card

I have been trying to get a capital one credit card and i keep getting denied while my son has as much debt as me and a low credit score but he got approved but you want to deny me. June 10 2022 today i want something done about this.as soon as possible

Desired outcome: I want something done and to be treated fairly and to get the credit that i deserve. I said everything i had to say now start taking care of it.

Capital One Several requests for a credit line increase on capital one credit card

I had gone through and 'graduated' with freedom debt relief. The very first card to offer credit was that of Capital one.. but I was having to fund $99 in order to get this card.. they allowed $200 credit.. woopdee doo right? okay well start from the bottom and build and prove my credibility.. since then I have gotten 6 other credit cards.. 5 times the credit allowance.. not at any time did I or have I defaulted, or have I been late.. in fact I'd pay off my card, and upon use, would pay more than the miniums.. I have at least 3 times requested a credit line increase.. via online after logging in twice.. by email, by chat.. but at no time have I ever had a decision or response. I dont understand this.. I paid 50% of the allowance of credit to begin with.. this remains the absolute losest line of credit out of all my creditors.. and nobody is replying.. what is the issue here? why is capital one.. having acquired this creditor in Sept of 2020 not helping me with increasing my credit line or more importantly even responding to my repeated requests for an increase.. what is the major malfunction.. I am writing because I find no excusable reason for this

Capital One Credit card

I have been a customer of Capital One since 2000. Always paid my balance in full each month.

In April I needed to have dental work done. I used my card. My bank usually does a electronic transfer. However my balance was $10.834.05, so my bank sent a check on May 22 and delivered on May 27. My due date was May 28.

Capital One did not post my payment until May 30. When I spoke to an agent. They reversed the late fee of $25. I was told by that agent that any interest I was charged would be reversed also. Upon checking my account today I am now being charge interest in the amount of $72.10.

I spoke to 2 agents today and both said they could only refund $50 which is company policy. I told them it was not my fault that they took so long to post my payment from my bank. I was told by the very first agent that checks coming in that are mailed in a plain white envelope aren't opened for a few days. That is not my fault. So therefore I am going to have to pay $22.10 in interest charges. This is wrong in so many ways!

Desired outcome: Jun 3INTEREST CHARGE:PURCHASESInterest Charge $72.10I want the total interest charge of $72.10 reversed not just $50!!!

dON'T PAY IT SEND THE DEMAND TO YOUR ATTORNEY GENERAL FOR THE STATES IN WHICH THIS OCCURRED. ONLY THE INTERVENTION OF THE ATORNEY GENERAL OR THE COMPTROLLER OF THE CURRENCY HAS ANY EFFECT ON THESE PEOPLE. IF YOU BACK DOWN AND PAY THEY BECOME "RIGHT & CORRECT " AND THEN THEY WILL DO YOU AGAIN. THESE FEES ARE THE TRUE PROFIT MAKERS FOR CAPITAL ONE NOT THE INTEREST PAID BY THE CONSUMER. THAT IS LIMIMITED TO 21% FEES ARRE UNLIMITTED THEY CAN AND DO CHARGE 39.00 FEE FOR A ALLEGED LATE PAYMENT OF LESS THAN 100.00 SO IN ESSENCE A 40% RATE EVEN IF THEY ARE WRONG. IN MY CASE THEY CONTINUE TO INSIST THAT I PAY THESE FEES EVEN THOUGH THE CARD HAS HAD A ZERO BALANCE EXCEPT FO THE FEES WHICH THEY TEN CHARGE LATE FEES ON TOP OF LATE FEES ON AN ACCOUT THAT HAD A ZERO BALANCE.

This is scam run by a big bank and allowed to do so by the regulators who refuse to reign in these bad behaviors. Th attorney generals of each state need to bind together and protect the consumers from thses usuarrly charges that are grossly unfair and you can't oppose them or they add more punishment fees to your account. They then add more late fees because you now have a negative balance that they created and they then charge you again another fees. Its a vicous circle that onbly the COMTROLLER of the Currency can stop or the Attorney General of the state in which you reside or the bank does business. I believe its a NATIOAL BANK CHARTERED in Maryland one of the most consumer unfriendly states. MD lets get away with skull duggery and theft by deception!

wow you are provided with a 10K credit allowance? I wish I had even half that credit.. been paying my card off multiple times a whopping $200 limit that I funded $99 to get.. nobody is responding from capital one on my requests for a credit line increase.. 3 times I attempted to have this approval.. I have not gotten any replies whatsoever

Capital One Card was declined

I pay my bill every month, in full. I received a new card recently, due to fraud. My new card was activated; it was used several times. Then I went to a local store and it was declined. Reason: Inactive card. I returned home, called your support groups, and was told the card was inactive at the time of the purchase, but that the was active now (20 minutes'ish later). I'm calling BS on that because it was used yesterday with no issue. I spoke with a representative, and her supervisor. Neither appeared to care. I'm sure it's recorded on your system if you'd like to review. I'd recommend reviewing the call, if valid that it was actually recorded.

Why should you care? I'm a customer, for now at least. This is my primary question.

My secondary question is, "what are the rules?". I'd like to understand. Please enlighten me.

One unhappy customer.

Desired outcome: An explanation of the rules related to activating cards. When a card is actually activated. How can I validate that a card is activated. Etc.

Capital One 39.00 Membership fee

I got the card assuming the membership fee would be added at the end of the year.

I need that money returned to me as COVID has taken a toll on my income which is a small ss payment and lots of doctor appointments with medicine.

I set up a payment at the end of June in hopes some will return my money,I cancelled the card immediately when I saw the fee.

Desired outcome: Return the $39 as i need it with my small income...please
