Camping World Do not buy anything from this company

We purchased a new 2025 5th wheel from the Lewisville, TX location and during the walk through identified several issues that needed to be addressed. We paid to have them deliver it to Utah and were assured that everything had been taken care of. When we arrived and inspected the trailer, nothing had been corrected/fixed. Despite emails and calls to the store we purchased i-t from, they basically told us these were "warranty" items and we would have to take care of them on our own. I stated these issues were supposed to have been resolved prior to the trailer leaving their location but they really didn't seem to care. It seems more than apparent that once they get your money - they're done with you. Horrible, horrible customer service! They will never get another nickel from me and I'll let anyone that asks know to spend their money elsewhere.

Recommendation: Go anywhere else to purchase a trailer!

Camping World Disappointed

I'm extremely disappointed with the service department at Campers World located at 8001 Old Troy Pike Rd, Huber Heights, OH. Three weeks ago, we brought our RV in for several repairs and maintenance tasks, including antenna replacement, awning light repair, and a premium detailing package for $300+. We were told that the lights were on backorder, but despite multiple promises, we never received a follow-up call to update us on the status of our RV.
When we finally received a call stating that our RV was ready, we were excited to pick it up. However, our excitement quickly turned to disappointment. The detailing service was completely subpar. The trash hadn't been emptied, the interior was still dirty, and there were stains on the sofa. The windows were dirty, and to our surprise, there was accumulated mud on the driver's side floor.
We brought this to the attention of Jeff, the service manager, who advised us to speak with Rod, his manager. Rod claimed that he didn't notice the condition of the interior when the RV was brought in, which seemed unbelievable. When we requested a refund for the detailing service, Rod offered to have it cleaned, but suggested we wait another hour. Considering we had driven an hour to pick up our RV, we expected the detailing to be done already.
The lack of attention to detail, poor communication, and subpar service were appalling. To make matters worse, the RV didn't even have a fresh, clean smell after the detailing service. Our trust in Campers World has been severely damaged, and we would not recommend their service department to anyone. Specifically, we would avoid working with Jeff and Rod

Recommendation: Do not waste your time

Camping World Where do I start!

My daughter just purchased a class C motorhome from Camping World, and was traveling the net day and couldn't pick it up. My wife and I were going to pick it up and go over everything with the service department. They only went over the basics (tires, compartments, Propane), but the tech wouldn't go over the rest. I had to go to the manager to get someone else to go over the rest. After plugging in the unit, everything worked but the generator, because there was less than 1/8 of a tank of gas! I drove the motor home 4 miles to get gas and check the generator... Worked. As I got on the highway, my tire pressure dropped on one tire and actually went to 2 pounds. I called the dealership and got the same response from three people... Sorry you probably picked up a nail and we can't help you! No return call from the manager after leaving a few messages. I had noticed that the hubcaps weren't installed snug on the wheels, and told them they probably crimped the valve stem and they insisted everything was fine when I drove it off the lot! I took the unit to a tire shop, waited 2 hours, and found that the valve stem was the issue! Thanks for the poor customer service! You are right up there with car dealerships!

Recommendation: NO

Camping World makes delivery with no prior planning, fails to consider a serious tire problem, and leaves you hanging to rectify things while pretending to take zero responsibility. It is careless of them to sell a motorhome that is almost out of gas and has a damaged valve stem. That "not our problem" disposition is precisely the reason so many people feel sorry for purchasing from them. If there is no accountability, then the reviews will not be generous, the complaints will escalate to the top offices, and everybody will be warned. You pay the money, you suffer the mess.

Camping World Service

Had an apt to take in RV, they stated it would be ready in a week, this was in October, we said that it had to be ready since I was going overseas about 10 days after dropping it off for a checkup etc. They stated that would not be a problem. A couple of days before leaving, after a few calls, they answered and stated that they had yet to start on it. I then asked them if they would deliver the RV to my inside storage unit when they did finish, just to simply call my wife to arrange it. They said no problem. About 2 weeks later, we received a message from them asking if we wanted the RV winterized, we called back and told them no since it stays in inside storage. The unit was still not finished with service. A couple of more weeks go by, we still had not heard from them regarding the service whether it was complete or not. Many calls with no responses. Finally, I reached out to them again and left messages asking status of my service. They finally returned the call and said it was ready. It had been sitting out in the weather and it was freezing weather. My wife finally spoke to Bob, the manager, and he sent us the invoice for $3,700 and on the invoice, we were charged for a $195 cleaning, yet they had it outside in the snow. We had also questioned why there was no note on the invoice about checking the generator (one of the reasons for taking it in). They said that it was not part of the package we bought, yet we asked them to look at it when we took it in. We asked why it took so long and they stated that they were shorthanded and had an RV show. This is the worst service from every aspect! NEVER AGAIN. We will pay this invoice and they stated that they will have the company they use to move the RV into our indoor unit, so now we wait for their call.

Recommendation: AVOID CAMPING WORLD IN HUBER HEIGHTS, OHIO

I can see the delays and poor communication regarding the handling of your RV has caused a lot of anguish. It is easy to see why you’d be staying frustrated with the added problem of the cleaning charge considering the service provided was not up to the condition of the RV. Due to the low level of responsibility or initiative, you could raise your issues further up the camp and management or perhaps make a complaint in a more formal manner. You have already been quite patient, therefore seeking an explanation concerning the charges and what services where rendered is quite understandable.

Camping World Oustanding Support Colton, CA

We own a 2018 Winnebago Intent, and they are well known for their door latch failure, causing a lock-in/lock-out situation. We had this happen on July 4, 2024 in Tehachapi, CA. After several phone calls we found the Colton Camping World service department was open. My family and I made the drive and arrived early enough in the afternoon to get immediate service as a drive-in. The service manager came to the front and escorted us back to the service bays. We were immediately plugged in for power, provided water and plenty of support. They got the door open and then replace the complete door latch. This delay was minimized by the support and professionalism of the service staff at the Colton store. I just want to acknowledge their efforts and humbly thank all those involved in getting me and my family back on the road.

Camping World Camping World Raleigh is a disgrace

In the 4 months I have had my camper (2022 Rockwood Freedom) I had several occasions to interact with the staff. Initially I attempted to contact the financing person who handled my purchase only to be ignored, finally after 5 separate calls was I able to speak to someone. (I was looking for the address of the finance company) Secondly on our first trip the a/c quit this repair was refused because technician found it was unplugged inside a cabinet (unbeknownst to me) on the next trip when my grandson (12) climbed on the bed not yet supported underneath a bed rail bent and also the door slide on the ceiling pulled away from the ceiling, both repairs were denied. I have an extended warranty ($1781.00) which is totally useless. Camping World and Good Sam are people to stay away from

Camping World Holding my RV Hostage until I pay twice for their fire hazard installation error

I had been told by the Camping World Store on Sep 12, 2022 my RV Inverter/Converter 3000 watt may not be working properly. They could not get one that large but did look it up and told me where I could get one.

I picked one up at Home Depot on Sep 21, 2022 in case that was the issue. I took the RV to camping world same day after I had just Bought 4 new batteries. The place I bought them from did not work on RV’s so they said to have Camping world hook them up. I made an apt with Camping World and let them know that my lights and fan on the inside worked intermittently. They were going to hook up the batteries, and if the batteries were not the problem, I had the Inverter/Converter there if they needed to change that out. They said the batteries were not the issue, and then they said the Inverter was not working properly. So, they changed that out. They were having a 10 point inspection sale & a slide out maintenance sale, I agreed to both. They found 2 shorts with battery & electrical, I paid to have that fixed too.

They said it was ready to pick up. I had my friend Edria take me there to pick it up on Jan 13, 2023. Nothing was working still. I turned it on, and it smelled funny. The batteries started burning. I shut it off, and they had a service person come out and they said they fixed it, I can take it now. I said no, nothing is still working. We were yelled at, degraded, treated like we were stupid because we were female by the manager. I was told by the manager "I do not guarantee our service work, unless you bought the RV from camping world. Did you buy the RV from Camping world?" We were treated horribly, talked down to like we were stupid and we walked out. As we were leaving there was a poster that said “‘If you are not happy, I am not happy’ Call my office [protected] Or Email me at [protected]@campingworld.com” So as I was leaving I was calling this corporate number and left a message. Before I got home I got a call back from them. I was told Corporate would speak to Camping World Grain Valley MO and get this fixed.

After a few days, Camping world Grain Valley said it was ready again. I talked to Corporate, they said they double checked everything and it was good to go, please go pick it up. Camping World Grain Valley MO charged me another $350. So I went to pick it up and once again it was not working. This time I was very angry. This was ridiculous. The service manager came and walked me through it. He told me that the only problem was the batteries were not charged up. He said if it does not work this time, he will personally take care of it, and I will not have an issue. After about 30 min, I paid and took the RV around the end of January.

I took it to Wolds of Fun Village and plugged it in for a couple days, nothing. It was still not working. I called Corporate let them know what was going on and it still was not working but I was at WOF Village plugging it in to charge the batteries. Corporate told me they would keep working on getting this taken care of, to give them an update after I figure out what is going on with the batteries.

I called corporate again to give them an update on the batteries, They told me they would get back to me. Corporate did NOT get back to me but I did get a phone call from Kevin Zawachi about Jan 5, 2023 from Camping World Grain Valley. He apologized, and said he can see that the paperwork did not reflect all the work done on the RV. He will make sure when I bring it in he will have his service manager correct all the paperwork to show all the work they did on the RV which should be covered by the company warranty. Kevin told me specifically "do not bring the RV in without an appointment with me personally." Kevin said "I will have the service manager make sure the paperwork is correct, document all the work they did, complete any work that wasn't done, and make sure the RV is ready for travel." I let him know I had surgery that day (so he emailed me his contact info), so It would be about a month or so before I can drive again.

I contacted him as soon as I was up and around on March 6, 2023. I then got the run around from him, and he would not correct the paperwork, or the issue. I have many emails to show this. The last time Kevin responded to one of my emails was May 26, 2023. I emailed him last on June 2, 2023 I then called multiples times to make sure he was still working there and try to set up an appointment to take the RV in to Camping World Grain Valley.

I took it to Wolf Lodge on Aug 7th 2023 to show someone the unit, and when I went to slide out the slider, it did not work. It stayed out some, because I did not want to screw it up more, I took it to the local Camping world KCK on Aug 7th 2023. I let them know what was going on and that everything should be under warranty. At this time it was within the 1year warranty for another 6months. When I dropped it off with Camping World KCK, I specifically told them "I want all warranty work done FIRST, before you look at anything else or do anything else; because I don't want to owe you a bunch of money and still have an RV that is not working."They said no problem. I said once the warranty work is done, then we can talk about anything else that needs done. But first I need this warranty work done before I will agree to any other fees. They said no problem.

We had a bad winter, and they called a few times saying they were waiting on a price for parts, then they could not get to the unit because of the weather. Camping World (KCK) called me last winter, while the RV was in their care and told me they had a special sale. KCK asked if I wanted to have it winterized, since it's going to be there through the winter. I was told there was too much ice in their parking lot and the RVcouldn't be pull out to have my unit worked on properly, so they wanted to winterize it. I OK'd the price to winterize it. Camping World KCK did not winterize the RV even though they held the RV the whole winter, I still do NOT know if anything broke on this RV do-to non-winterization. Camping World KCK never let me know of this extra part (quarter turn ball valve) that needed to be replaced before it could be winterized (I found this on my own looking through the estimates they gave me Jan 20th 2023)and Camping World KCK just chose not to winterize my RV while they held it ALL winter long for repair.

In this phone call they also said they were waiting on a pricing for a part, when I asked what part I was told they were not sure and that they would get back with me. I assumed, it had to do with the warranty work on the converter. Camping World KCK never got back to me.

I spoke to Beth on Monday April 8th 2024 and was told she would get this done for me. She gave me a price of about 500 or less for extra things they found wrong. I said great, but do not fix anything until the warranty work is complete. She said no problem. Then my daughter called and was told it was fixed, they took it to camping world in Grain Valley, they fixed their installation error, and it was ready to be picked up. I owed 1200. To pick it up. She explained why I needed to pay the $2248.40. I asked for an itemized work order, because that is not what we spoke about earlier that week. She then said Wait.. Let me figure this out.

She got back to me April 11th 2024 at 5:23pm and said NO Work had been done on my RV YET. She said Grain Valley will not approve the work. I said let’s call corporate then. She said she can not, she instructed me to call corporate. I then called corporate and was told Terry in Grain Valley was typing and saying I never even paid my bill in Grain Valley, and she will not cover anything. She also said that Grain Valley does not cover their work, only their parts and because I did not buy the part from them, there is nothing Grain Valley will do. I was very angry!

The estimate Camping World (KCK) gave to me on Jan 20, 2024 is incorrect. They have my Drop off date on this estimate to be incorrect considering they have had it since last year on Aug 7th of 2023. The InService date should reflect the proper date that I dropped my RV off with Camping World KCK.

May 1st 2024 NOW I'm being told that if I don't pay for it FIRST (they haven't fixed anything) then pick it up by May 10th 2024, I will start being charged storage. Yet it was only April 8th 2024 that I was told that Camping World KCK already completed the work and fixed all the warranty work (converter, slide out, light bulbs), and it was ready for pick up. To come and find out once again it was all a LIE, I was told by Beth that not one thing had been fixed on my RV. Terri Bartlett (Region Customer Service Manager from Grain Valley Claiming to be Corporate) told me I had to pay $1600 to pick it up, even though no work has been done (This sounds like price gouging.) At that time Terri Bartlett (Region Customer Service Manager from Grain Valley Claiming to be Corporate) also told me "You need to pay to have the converter put in properly because right now it is a fire hazard." The $1600 for me to pick it up was just the price for the estimate to prove that Camping World Grain Valley MO screwed up putting in the converter. Yet Grain Valley refuses to cover it even though Camping World KCK had it for a total of 6months while it sat in their possession still under warranty.

I can attached a couple email examples shared with Kevin starting immediately after pickup, and with Terri Bartlett (Region Customer Service Manager from Grain Valley) who claims to be corporate but can't look up the picked up or dropped off dates or any correspondence. Terri Bartlett (Region Customer Service Manager from Grain Valley Claiming to be Corporate) is now resorting to sending me multiple emails with the exact same thing in it, all in one day. I also corresponded with Corporate before I ever even picked up my RV in the end of Jan 2023. I have stated everywhere to everyone it was not working that is why I originally refused pickup on Jan 13, 2023. I brought my witness Edria with me on Jan 13, 2023, because I was being treated horribly and I needed help.

The RV was dropped off at Camping World KCK AUG 7, 2023 that was 6 months before the warranty was up. I had already OK'd the warranty items to be fixed under warranty. What I did NOT OK was any other charges, which I have said multiple times on multiples occasions. I have also said on multiples occasions that I want the warranty items fixed. Yet, instead of fixing the issues under warranty they held my RV until the warranty was out then said your warranty is up even though they still have the RV and have had the RV since Aug 7th, 2023 when it still had 6mo warranty left on it.

Again I am not sure why any of this back and forth between Grain Valley, Kevin Zawacki (General Manager Grain Valley), Terri Bartlett (Region Customer Service Manager from Grain Valley Claiming to be Corporate), Corporate, and KCK is any of my problem since it is all Camping World Holdings Inc. and this seems like it should be an internal issue and not one that Camping World should be publicly displaying to their customers. This is how you lose customers, get bad reviews, bad publicity, complaints with BBB (by the way they just lied to BBB earlier today), complaints with the state and/or legal actions taken. Corporate should be handling this properly in-house, instead of giving customers the run around and sending them to other people who refuse to handle things properly (AKA Terri Bartlett). I am very disappointed in the Customer Service and unbusinesslike practices of the Camping World Holdings Inc employees that I have so far had the displeasure of having them manage my Customer File.

Recommendation: Never send anyone you care about to Camping World, Only send your enemies!

Camping World We bought our Cougar MBI in January 2020

We bought our Cougar MBI In January 2020. Geno was the Salesman. Everything went really smooth from start to finish. They did the install on my fifth wheel. Jeff the tech in back 1st bay, had everything done by the end of the next day on my Ram truck. I had a warranty concern that we noticed once we had got it home. They had me contact Wendell Helms in the service department and he was in communication with us the whole way through the process. They went through it and found a few more things that needed done that we weren't even aware of. Service with a smile and was professional the whole way through. Thanks Camping World. You have our business. Signed: The Westfall Family.

Camping World Outstanding snd professional service

Jeff Krozel was our salesman at the Las Vegas location. His professionalism was beyond my expectations as he was absolutely incredible throughout the purchase and trade in of our other trailer. He took his time to help us understand the contract and it's contents. He listened to us regarding our wants and needs and found the right rig for us. David with finance did an amazing job as well as Paul Allen the General Manager. An epic shout out to the entire team. Thank you for working with us.This is our second purchase and highly recommend them. There are many false reviews due to competition and I feel they deserve a great review due to their commitment to their customers.

Camping World Customer service

Markus thank you.
My partner and I live in our RV which we bought back in October from camping world. We love it. We call it home.

Unfortunately, the last time we had the propane filled we were unable to get it to flow. We were able to talk to a service tec over the phone. He directed us to make an appointment with customer service to see if it was regulator issue.

Being new to the whole RV experience and living in one full time, the thoughts of a regulator issue was scary...no fridge, hot water, microwave, or ac in the month of May in Atlanta ga. Markus helped with setting us up an appointment, and then went above and beyond to squeeze us in. He was extraordinarily nice, helpful, and reassuring, clear on everything. Thank you camping world for hiring and investing in quality people such as Markus.

Camping World Coorporate stepped up to help

I had an issue with my slider. I did the best i could do to trouble shoot it with taking about almost every avenue i could get it working as I was leaving in a week to head out camping.
After multiple calls, to the dealership, and corporate, two gentlemen went above and beyond their scope of duty to help me out.
Chritopher Chapman, who has nothing to do with service, helped me organize and coordinate my service promptly.
Brian Quinn, who is InCharge of service, I believe of camping world, flew into my region scheduled me to have ethe camper on sight and he spent all day to rectify the problem. These 2 individuals went above and beyond to help me out.
It took a little presentence from me with corporate but when these 2 found out about the situation they made a bad situation turn out great.
Thank you to both of them for reaching out to me and staying on top of the issue until it was resolved.

Camping World We needed an emergency repair, and they took care of us in a totally reasonable time

Our running lights weren't working on our 2014 Coachmen Apex camper. Being only a mile from our overnight stop near Madison, WI, we decided to see what Camping World could do to help us. They diagnosed and replaced our power cord, fixing the problem in a reasonable time, esp. Since we were just drop-ins with no appointment. While we waited, we got to shop in their awesome new addition, Gander Outfitters. Derek Hanson was our service advisor who kept us updated of the progress--totally appreciated. And the service mgr Justin Kaatz, was also quick with advice and encouragement. For our first time in Wisconsin AND visiting an actual store front, we were really impressed. Though we've bought from Camping World online, meeting actual employees and witnessing how they worked was a completely great experience. Thanks, guys!
Gail and Fred from CT
PS We even toured campers and dreamed about how to upgrade!

Camping World Best place and best salesman to buy an RV

We had a choice of a lot of RV places to choose from and I started checking places online. The salesman Zack Lee contacted me within a few minutes. He asked what I was looking for and showed me 3 Rv's immediately. We corresponded through text messages until my husband and I were able to go see the campers in person. Zack was so helpful, explained things thoroughly, had so much patience allowing us to go from RV to RV comparing things we liked about the various campers. I got sick with the flu, then walking pneumonia and he sent texts almost everyday checking on me to see how I felt. Once we were able to get back over to the store he showed us back around as campers had come and gone. He worked with us every step of the way until we finalized our purchase today. He showed us how EVERYTHING worked in each camper. There is no way that any other salesman could have been any more attentive or knowledgeable than Zack. I will say everyone at Camping World was nice and friendly and always offering to help. While Zack showed us each camper he explained what things were, where things were, how various things worked, what came with the campers and what didn't come with them. We enjoyed our buying experience at Camping World because of Zack Lee.

Camping World Very enjoyable experience working with Camping World compared to others we visited

My wife and I had a great experience working with Camping World in the search for a new RV. We had one of the most knowledgeable salesman (RON) that was a great listener with all of our needs and desires in our search for the perfect RV that we searched for throughout the Portland area. He gave us recommendations from his many years of experience which helped greatly. He knew our budget and kept us within our price range and helped in showing us the most for our dollar. I can say one thing, we had some sales representatives from other lots that showed us that we knew as much about the models we were looking at than they did. Example at other lot., I asked, How many AC's does this unit have and the salesman literally had to walk several hundred feet away and look up to tell us. Ron on the other hand had all the answers while sitting comfortably together within one of the most beautiful models we were looking at purchasing. I have seen some reviews that were not as highly rated as ours, but I can say one thing for sure, this particular Camping World has some of the nicest and easy to work with representatives in the industry. We wish to Thank everyone who made our time at Camping World a very comfortable and enjoyable experience with no pressure whatsoever. Thank You Camping World and especially Ron for the awesome experience. A+ recommendation!

Camping World Excellent service at Camping World - Saltlake city UT

I had excellent service at the Camping World Salt Lake City Utah!
I've had a series of problems since I started with this RV a 2019 Thor 30.3 rv since my purchase in February 2022 at Camping World, Gulfbreeze, FL. One of the many problems was the Furnace would not stay lit. The past three nights where I camped, the temp was 32*.
I went to the Camping World Service Center, Salt Lake City, Utah morning of 4-May-22 and told them of the all problems I've had with this unit, especially the Furnace, That I had emailed a list of my complaints to the Company CO Marcus Secretary of all the problems I have had with my RV,
The service manager Corry, at Salt Lake City (I guess) took sympathy on me!
They arranged for me to bring my RV in
The next morning at 9 o'clock and have successfully repaired my heater!
Salt Lake City Camping World has made me a very Happy Camper!

I greatly appreciate the service of Tina one of the receptionist, Jacquie Marcos the service advisor and of course Corry, the service manager and the technician that quickly found the problem with my Furnace! The problem was only a Bad Wire connection from the thermostat to the heater!
The heater works great now!
I greatly appreciate the special service they showed me with very friendly and professional attitude from all the Staff at Camping World, SaltLake City Utah!
I now very highly recommend Camping World, especially At SaltLake City, Utah

Camping World 8th year using this service, but never again

When this business was RV World of Georgia, our camper experienced great service, competent repairs, and reasonable prices for our annual winter checkup. The business became Gander, but kept the same personnel and policies, so we still got great service. This year, our 8th year for an annual checkup, the company is now Camping World. We brought it in, requesting a check of roof, slide, and systems.

In the end, it took 4 trips and 4 weeks to get the camper back, with very little communication from the service manager. In this time, they broke our front power jack, and replaced it with one off the shelf, which our service manager said they keep in stock because it happens so often. The replacement jack is of poorer quality than the one we put on ourselves. We asked how this happened, and were told they dropped the camper off the ball, which “happens all the time.” In 8 years of camping in our trailer and having repairs done, we have never seen a camper dropped off the ball.

Inspection found that new slide edging was needed. Extra screws were put in on the bottom, even though that was not in the repair instructions. This scratched the floor; the service manager implied that it might have been our fault the floor was scratched. When the repair person admitted extra screws were used, Camping World removed the screws and repaired the floor at their own cost.

On trip #3 to pick up the camper, requested caulking had not been completed, but they charged us for it. On trip #4, when we finally got the camper home, we noticed that our custom epoxy-top table was cracked in two places. It is hard to crack epoxy, we have no idea how they managed that, and they didn’t tell us about it. The back door no longer closes properly, and the water tank is leaking, both of which were fine before service.

The one thing done right was the roof; it is clean and well-sealed. In short, more things are wrong with the camper than before we brought it to Camping World, and after 8 years they have lost our business.

Recommendation: Do not use Camping World of Buford for your service.

Camping World Run! The worst experience

This is going to be a long post but necessary to prevent others from similar experiences with Camping World. Our experience has been with Camping World/Rv's.com in Sherwood and the corporate offices. Our contact with corporate has been Karla.

`1. Do not purchase-we experienced so much deceit with no effort to make it right.

2. Check their Better Business Bureau Rating and reviews online. There are facebook groups with horror stories you can join.

3. We were deceived in purchasing a warranty. They only presented 4 options which did not include a "no warranty" option. They finally reimbursed us after multiple attempts to call, drop in, and email. They sent us the wrong form at least 2 times.

4. They lied and said the bank required 3k down. We called the bank today. They denied this and said it was not a part of the deal. They were appalled and basically said we should push the dealership because that was wrong

5. We called the DMV today after we were told that we had to finance the sales tax due to COVID policies-sounds nuts now but we believed it. The DMV was wondering what business and said they did not have this policy and did not require that

6. They split my husband and I up during the process stating they had to hurry because they were closing and corporate no longer allowed them to stay past 7. They refuse to show us this policy in writing.

7. They required us to purchase Good Sam insurance and hovered over my husband while he had them on the phone. This was the night before we got the RV so we could have purchased through someone else

8. We were told when we asked about other financing options we received in the mail that they weren't disclosed to us because they required 3k more down and 3% higher. We asked for this documentation which they refused to give. They said they are not obligated to give us this information.

9. Again there are some discrepancies on the purchase receipt with discounts and MSPR.

10. We called corporate to speak to someone other than the dealership and Karla. Lupe said I could only talk to them. She tried to transfer me to the dealership during open hours. They did not answer. She would not put in writing that I could only talk to those two people.

11. At one point they offered to meet with the dealership and someone in corporate. We said we wanted everything in writing for transparency among both parties. Karla never responded. The lack of transparency and documentation provided is so concerning.

We have a lawyer on retainer who is taking action for us. We have asked 3 other lawyers who agree they committed fraud, coercion, and bad faith practices. The attorney general even recommended with seek an attorney.

They took advantage of our ignorance on the issues. We hope to come to a resolution. Any advice? Please spread the word! This has been horrific. Everyone we have talked to (DMV, bank, BBB, and Attorney General, lawyers) are appalled and have taken notes about it.

We are determined this does not happen to anyone else.

Recommendation: Do not purchase-they lie and commit fraudulent practices-check Better Business Bureau ratings. They delete google reviews (pay for it). Check facebook pages with other complaints as well

Camping World Concord camping world

We traded 2 campers and a boat into Camping World 3 weeks ago. Singed all of our paperwork in financing. They still have not payed the trade off loans.
Camper that we purchased was not ready on promised date. We drove over 2 hours to find out the camper we purchased had an issue with control panel. This issue we were told nothing of when we signed all paperwork.

Camping World RV sales and service

Marcus Lemonis CEO
Camping World
[protected]@campingworld.com

Dear Mr. Lemonis,

This is Dave and Carol Messner and we have been working with various Camping World’s since last April (2024) on our first ever purchase of a RV for traveling the Eastern Portion of the USA for the next 3+ years.
This letter will explain our Stress, Frustration, and disappointment's we have had since April and are still having? We started this Journey in Monticello MN at our local Camping World when we purchased a new 2023 Cougar 5th wheel RV made by Keystone. We wanted to purchase a newer RV that would give us little or no problems. We even purchased your Good Sam Elite warranty to help us with any repairs not covered by the factory warranty. As it turned out we had purchased a lemon RV with many issues.
If I could start all over it would not include purchasing a RV from Camping World. The reasons are many but include too expensive, lack of support during the whole process, the dealer prep money I paid them was for nothing, warranty work after purchase took way to long and we had to start our 3 yr travels with most issues still open.
As a result, we had to battle Camping Worlds Sales, Parts, and Service departments from Minnesota and throughout our whole trip into Florida. We had warranty and shipping issues and we would have to travel out our way to get to a dealership for this warranty work. This cost us money, stress, and time. We had already paid for our RV parks and ended up in a Motel for a couple of days multiple times. And the additional cost for fuel was also expensive.
When we got to Summerfield, FL. In early September I finally was fed up and told this dealership I did not want this RV any longer and we started to look for something else.
They had a 2021 Keystone Raptor Toy Hauler that we decided to trade our Cougar in on. After much negotiations we purchased it and had to pay extra even thou we were buying something two years older. There were many issues and they had agreed to fix most. I asked how all these items could be bad when I paid them a lot of money for what should be a clean and functional RV. I even brought up the additional cost for dealer prep which should have caught most of these problems? They started fixing these items, some at their expense and many more with my Good Sam Elite Warranty I paid for on this unit also. The Warranty company even asked me if Camping World had done their job in the first place. I told them I believe so but soon realized they had not. We were only 4 days into the sale and the paperwork was not complete or processed. My wife and I had transferred all of our personal items from one RV to another at their shop while they were still working on issues. I again was so upset that I told them to take this unit back and we started to look for another RV.
We did find another Toy Hauler, a 2021 Forest River Rogue Model Toy Hauler. Again, I had to argue about trade-in and sell pricing. Still Used and two years older and we had to again add money to this purchase? At this point I was so far in the hole and it was difficult to realize how much we had spent and what we could show for it. We again had to transfer all our personal items from one unit to another We just wanted to enjoy our RV travels without any major issues. I again purchased the Elite warranty coverage which they used to fix many of these items that were bad. These items again should have been repaired before selling.
I asked for a meeting with the store manager to review everything I mentioned above. He came on like a jerk until I told him to stop and act civil while we try to make things right. He even told me he lost money each time we switched RV’s. I told him that was [censored] and the only one who took it in the BUTT was me. The only one who came out OK on these three purchases was Camping World and Good Sam. During our Travels and talking with other campers most all say to stay away from Camping World. I do not believe that. I believe that I just got some lemon RVs along with two Camping Worlds that did not take care of us as well as they should have?
We sold our home in Minnesota to become full time RVers so we had no other options but to try and make this right by hoping to get a RV that would work well for us. So here we are with a 2021 Forest River Toy Hauler with many issues That we ended up spending $140,000 for and is worth only $50,000. I have purchased three 5th wheels during the last eleven months and all we have to show for it is this unit. I will include a spreadsheet showing all my money spent and what this unit is worth. We even had our 2020 F450 Truck breakdown about 30 miles from Tallahassee FL on January 1st 2025. I called our Good Sam coverage number eleven times while trying to get a tow.
I had even found a towing company but my Good Sam coverage would not use them? This all started about 1PM and i finally Hired this company to tow my truck and RV, so much for my very expensive coverage? This was very dangerous and I had to send my wife and two dogs to a motel using an expensive Uber ride. While I waited for a tow, 8 hours later. This whole ordeal was very dangerous and stressful.
I am 76 yrs old with many health issues that are only giving me the next 4-5 yrs to take this journey with my wife. My 73 year old Wife also has some major health issues and now is the time for her also. We are first time RVers and just want to be able to enjoy our travels, instead of our problems so far. I really feel we were taken advantage of while thinking they were trying to treat us right. Boy, was I wrong and have paid $$$ for it.
I am asking Camping World, Keystone and Good Sam to help make this right by taking back this RV and replacing it with a newer RV with no issues, it would not have to be a 5th wheel! We wanted to by something better but had a budget to maintain. As it turned out we spent enough to buy that Class A Toy Hauler I wanted but could not afford!

Regards,
David

Camping World Camper

We are asking for our money back. We have delivered the camper back to you in N.H. because our camper is a lemon. Look under Diana Messina-Buchko and Gina Maria Buchko.
We have been waiting for our money back, down payment, payments, and site fee that we paid $4,000 and could not stay there because we had no working camper that we bought brand new from you and in 7 months of emailing back and forth no repairs were done and the camper started leaking under the bathroom and still nothing. We are down! You sold us a lemon and refused to do a thing about it. We are waiting for our money we can purchase a new camper from a reputable dealer ship.

Im not happy. I have had my RV serviced at the Chattanooga location only since buying it. I will list the issues I've had with the service department with the most egregious first that I found. My issues are with the actual work done and when I made a complaint in the past the service manager was most rude. And corporate never followed up on my complaint...

Camping World Service

I took coach to CW Silverdale for 16' awning evaluation($125) since it would not close electronically and was told that awning parts not avail. and we would need to purchase new awning($3000). We took to Tacoma CW and after they installed new we were told that new awning would not close either. service manager James told us that there is a box that he fiddled with to get awning to work. We tried to get our money and old awning back but they refused to even return calls. Extremely poor service. James told me he would call me within the hour but 4 days later we just drove to Tacoma and picked up our coach. James said it was a phone system problem. Really? They removed the aluminum protective cover and refuse to reinstall

Desired outcome: Return money, install protective cover removed

Camping World Stay away from camping world!

My letter to the owner. His reply to bad. Im doing nothing.

To Marcus Lemonis,
I am compelled to write this letter, hopeful to get a response and resolution.
Please be patient as i explain and write a longer story than you'd like. I am Jonathan Mark Hatch and I live in Scarborough, Maine. I am an automotive shop owner and tech for more than 40 years. I am also a commercial pilot 27 plus years. I am happily married with 4 boys. My family camps a lot! My wife and I were in Conway NH. For a weekend in January enjoying a getaway and we stopped in and were met by Destin. A kind salesman and as he should be... willing to hear our needs and wants. He began searching for the right motorhome for us. After several weeks and countless units that he had emailed us, we found a motorhome all of us agreed was "The One". It was a unit that was only a few years old and not enough mileage to have had its first oil change. We put a good faith deposit and got your company to hire a trucking company to reposition it to the Conway store. Please keep in mind that this was at another Camping World dealership and was listed and claimed ready to sell. The motorhome home was delivered to the Conway dealership. We as a family were excited to see it! Knowing it wasn't serviced, multipoint inspection, completely gone thru, cleaned and ready for us to take ownership by your Conway store, we still wanted to see it. The family loved it. That was pretty much the end of the fantasy experience. The motorhome supposedly went into your shop. The financing gentleman Rick was rude, nasty and condescending. I was ready to walk away, but Greta called to save the sale and apologize. We pressed on and met on the delivery date a couple weeks later. The camper wasn't ready! We did the so called lead tech tour and instructional time of the motorhome. Mind you, remember not only am I a tech but my shop repairs campers and motorhomes. I said nothing of my knowledge and let the tech do the tour. Bluntly, he was lost! One thing after another I pointed out things that were broken or didn't work. I asked to start the generator and his reply, "oh we can't the camper is outta gas"... so the motorhome got delivered from ohio on fumes? Generator serviced but you didn't find it necessary to actually run it and check its operation? The water filter base was broken off and sitting on the compartment floor. The list i will give later if you'd like on what was wrong, what didnt get fixed, and what I had to fix. The family was asked to go have lunch as supposedly the issues were being addressed. After we returned we found out that nothing was done. Excuses were made and parts were promised to be ordered. Later I found out nothing was ordered. Paperwork was already signed and now my family in debt on the second biggest purchase of our life. But we are good right!? We bought a practically new camper from a nationwide dealership that was just serviced and a stamp of perfection by professionals on the family camper, with promises galore! Good Sam, extended service, discount fuel, cheap camping! Yeaaaa! Drove home and parked it. Yup the onion has many layers. In two days we had realized that the batteries were dead in 24 hours, doors damaged, generator didn't run, electric mirrors didn't work, battery controller issues, drivers window leak, radio defective, water filter still broken, camper dirty, etc. Needless to say I was upset and said the motorhome is coming back to get this stuff fixed! The next day after boosting it i drove the 60 miles to return it the your dealership. Yes the Company Ipad came out and pics of every corner were taken and the failed systems were promised to be repaired. We drove home leaving the motorhome expecting it to be priority and do everything to get it back to us asap. But nope I was sadly mistaken. A month, maybe a month and a half to repair it! What? Are you serious? You delivered a motorhome claiming its 100% ready and two days after you say 6 weeks to repair it? I think not! You had the motorhome a month. I made my first payment while my camper sat on your lot. This is insane! Yes I hound! Yes I'm mad! Rightfully so! The camper was claimed to be repaired minus the doors.(claimed to be ordered the day it was delivered to Conway). We went to pick up the "repaired" motorhome. I was ignored for 30 minutes at the service desk. I walked to the salesman to get the cold shoulder and sent back to service. Yes I'm fuming. No list, no invoice, no explanation, no apologies. Nothing! I insisted the service contract be eliminated and be issued a refund. Do you blame me? Why should I pay $6500 for future service when you can't even fix basic problems. Why should I spend $6500 when you sell me a motorhome with obvious issues. Why should I trust your service dept? I signed the voided extended service plan and asked how this affected the loan. Nope no rewrite just a payment to the loan was the promise. At this point I just couldn't wait to get out of the building never to return. We jumped in the motorhome to drive it home after being told it was all set and ready to go. Ha! Let's see. The fridge wasn't secured and fell out of its slot! My 13 year old son scrambled to push it back in place til I could safely pull over. We finished the 60 mile drive home. As I began to check over the claimed repairs done and see if it was thoroughly cleaned, I found it was not. The engine cover and dash were all misaligned and twisted. The shop replaced the wrong radio and the failed radio was still defective. The fridge stunt destroyed the base and brackets that supposedly secure it in place. I ordered a new radio and a couple days later began the installation, only to find when your shop replaced the right mirror they completely hacked the wire harness, behind the dash, securing it to the heater hoses. The hoses are not capable of holding the wire harness and the weight tore it apart. I repaired all the wiring and hoses and attached it as it should be installed. I replaced the radio only to find the speakers were blown as well, so i replaced those too. The engine and dash were reinstalled properly. The camper smelled and I couldn't figure it out so we cleaned the inside and found the smell! A dirty diaper under the master bed! Yup Camping World didn't try too hard to clean and recon it. The rear camera was bad, it was full of water. I replaced that. Both back up lights failed. I replaced both units. I found scratches and chips all of which weren't there before the final visit. Do you think the story is done? Noooo. We went on our first camping trip. Just the weekend. Two nights! My middle son took the first shower in the front bath. In one minute water was running down the outside of the motorhome! I didn't want to ruin the weekend. I said the boys needed to use the camp ground showers. Later in the morning I decided to shower in my shower. Guess what happened? Yup the water was running under the bed in a minute. No more showers for the weekend! Am I done? Nope the awning didn't work! So after I returned home. I diagnosed the two shower leaks. Both shower faucets were split from being frozen. Im guessing Camping World failed at winterizing the plumbing. I replaced both shower faucets, hose and head units. The awning? Yes I repaired it. As far as my refund on the maintenance program? Its been 4 months and to many calls to see the refund on my loan. Why is all this so difficult to address?
Get the failures of camping world on multiple levels?
Camping World owes me. Reimbursement for: a radio, 2 speakers, two shower faucets, back up lights, rear camera. Labor to repair all these items plus the fridge, install the doors, the awning and a proper motorhome cleaning. Camping world owes me a refund for lying and over charging me for a motorhome that wasn't fit nor ready to sell. Camping world owes me interest i payed on the $6500 over four months.
So here i am 5 months after buying this thing. I think its finally ready to be used with everything working.
The ball is in your court to make this right. Your company needs to regroup how you sell, service and take care of customers. Without customers you fail. Im not looking for hollow Im sorry letter and a 2% discount on my next purchase. Don't patronize me. I assume you probably couldn't care less. Im only one customer. Yes Im only one. This is your business and your business failed miserably so far with my family. Make this right!
Sincerely

Camping World Camper World Steps on Our Big Dreams

I'd really don't even know where to start. I can't help but feel like I should qualify by telling a little bit about me and my girlfriend. I say this because we are not complaining type. We have purchased and sold homes and many other pieces of recreational equipment. We have outstanding reputations in the professional community as well as with our friends and our local community. We are two middle-class hard-working people that saved for years to purchase our dream, which was a fifth wheel camper that we could eventually live in full-time. We purchased a 2020 raptor from camper world in August. The first camper we purchased had a massive line cut through the paint on the front of it when we went to review it on the camper world walk through.
So, they swapped it out with another identical raptor fifth wheel that was sitting on the lot. So we went back a week later to pick this one up. During the walk-through we found several issues, mostly cosmetic on both the interior and exterior. We also noticed that there was no heat coming out of the rear vent in the toy hauler area, the chair that raises up and down made a very loud noise in the chain system, and that there was no electricity to the entire front end of the camper. We were told that these are common issues and that they would be addressed quickly. After leaving the camper there for several weeks we went back to pick it up. They allowed us to camp in their complementary site next-door to make sure everything was working. As soon as we set it up that Friday evening there was still no power in the nose, still no heat coming out of the duct in the toy hauler and still a loud popping noise. At this point we also had an infestation of ants. We were told that ants are not their problem however the salesman tried very hard to fix it by putting his own bug bombs in the camper when we brought it back there that Sunday. Here we were waiting again for them to fix the electrical issue. While we had it in there we also decided to have a roof Wi-Fi antenna installed. I stopped in later that week to check on how things are going. I noticed that the circuit board was pulled down and there were wires hanging out everywhere from the placement of the circuitboard all the way to the back bedroom and every fixture in the bedroom. I took pictures and supported the cause by sending them into Keystone as well as forwarding them to the dealership. Keystone determined that the camper had been wired incorrectly and gave instructions for the dealership to fix it. So after another couple weeks we finally got the camper and they let us set up again and there lot next-door. This time the electric was working but they had miss-wired the Wi-Fi switch to a light switch. The heat still did not work in the rear of the hauler and the chain popping was still there. At this point had been a couple months since our purchase and we already were approaching our first scheduled trip. We were told we could take the camper and that they would address any other issues when we returned. On our first trip and on the very first night we also realized that the skylight in the bathroom was leaking, the side doors would continuously fly open because the latches were loose, and of all things the landing gear which was a highly recommended hydraulic landing system also was defective. We had to cancel our camping reservations at the first sight in Syracuse New York and instead bring it to the dealership there. Out of our pocket we paid for hotels while the dealership tried to examine the issues. They found that the skylight was leaking and they told us at that point that the motherboard that controls the hydraulic system was defective. They told us it would take weeks or months to get the parts and that we should just move on and try to get this fixed when we return home. So we went to our next stop in Lake George where we had a long weekend schedule before going home. When we went to leave Lake George, we hooked everything up and when we went to pull away we noticed that the right front landing gear would drop down halfway. We tried to call the very expensive road care service we purchased through camper World and were told that we would have to pay for everything out of pocket and then submit the claim to warranty. This was just maddening at this point after all the issues that we have already had after owning the camper for several months not being able to use it and still a pile of problems that we're not being addressed. Now we were supposed to pay to have it fixed on the road for hundreds of dollars?! We talked with the mechanic at the home shop we had purchased it at and they walked me through using my tools and how to temporarily fix the landing gear so we could get home. When we returned home we brought the camper to another camper world location that was closer to our house. At this location service advisor and the staff in general seem to be more focused than the first dealership we purchased from. They seem to have a little more empathy in their professional approach than the location we had purchased it from. Honestly we shouldn't have to beg for a good Customer service on purchasing anything let alone a $90,000 fifth wheel camper. However, believe me we had been made out to be the bad guy since day one and our complaints were met with frustration on the other side and a general theory that this is just what happens to campers and an "oh well" attitude. I shouldn't say that for everyone, as there are some good hard-working people that we met in the shop in other areas of camper world throughout this. However, management clearly protects the big corporate machine and their profitable interest by keeping issues like the ones we had at bay. As long as they can try to address it under warranty they will. The timeline in which the customer has to endure the agony of spending their life savings on a dream that was quick quickly diminished by poor craftsmanship and horrible customer service is the farthest thing from their concern. So having more confidence in the new camper world dealership we went over a list of 29 items and left it there in early November. They were to fix the hydraulic system, the skylight, the broken heating issue, several wood pops and other cosmetic issues, the faulty chain on the seat in the rear toy hauler area, and a few other things. When we went to finally pick the camper up in early March 2021 for our second trip which was my son?s high school graduation trip to Florida that we had been planning for a long time, we found that absolutely nothing had been addressed on the camper and every single issue still remains. Wait, they did correctly re-wire the WIFi. Having no choice, we pulled out on a 10 day trip to Florida hoping that we could get through the trip as camper world instructed us to do. During the trip it did drop cold at night where there was no heat in the rear, the landing gear once again was stuck halfway down, and every time we raise the bed at night we had to listen to the loud popping sound of the misaligned a chain system. The landing gear would re-settle throughout every night waking us up constantly and eventually dropped back down halfway when all hooked up. I called both Keystone and camper world. I called the number that Marcus Lemonis sends to our home on a regular basis saying how open he used to hearing your feedback. There is no chance you were going to get Marcus Lemonis on the phone. He probably isn't even in the same country as the office that is answering these inbound calls. These people are very seasoned at playing the nice game but really giving you no results or solutions. Keystone does not take much more responsibility other than the fact that they are willing to give a out of service payout once the RV has finally returned to service. This of course will not compensate for at least 10 days of completely missed work being stuck at the dealership or stuck on the road with breakdowns, the frustration and agony that that has put us through on most every holiday or weekend since then worried that we have sunk our savings into an albatross that cannot be fixed. The cancelled trips, the long phone calls and the letters begging for a buy back or for some one to at least recognize the absurdity the campers issues. The last person that I spoke with a camper world corporate simply said we're sorry but these issues are cosmetic and we are just not going to do a buyback. We will fix them under warranty as quickly as we can. Well, we went back two days ago just before Easter Sunday here 2021. Seven months after we purchased the camper to find out that still absolutely nothing had been done to the camper. Not even the wood pops, the shades that were hung crooked, the molding that is now popping off slide outs, let alone the more serious issues like the landing gear, no heat to the rear,
The chain system or anything else. No one could really tell us why they just keep being extremely cordial and asking us to be patient while they address these issues. I don't think they think about how hard this is on people that really put everything they had into their dream and yet nothing but problems in return and leaving us with no sure idea that this will ever be fixed. Instead we are scared to death to even travel in this camper not knowing how compromised the electrical system is from those issues, if they will really fix the landing gear without that front leg dropping down while driving, or if the way they have to reroute the heating system because they hung the gray water tank in the wrong place at the manufacture can be addressed. What is crazy, as the camper also had a considerable amount of rust on the frame on the walk-through which we clearly pointed out. We have been told since then that it is not the responsibility of the manufacture because the dealership should've checked it and of course the dealership says that's not their responsibility because they must've built it in on a rusty frame. Again no accountability whatsoever for the big corporate giant and Marcus Lemonis is an adequate group of cronies. I will tell you that I am sad to even say that because at one time I watch the shows and admired his approach as I am also a CEO of a smaller company. My employees would never take this approach with our customers. It is really one of the very clear but sad examples of corporate giants stepping on smaller peoples big dreams. I hope this review helps in your next purchase. Please understand that our complaint is not necessarily about the people. The front line folks at work camper world are much like the rest of us. Working hard, paycheck to paycheck, getting it done and working under circumstances with incredible demand, not enough supply and the brunt of it falling on the shoulders of the front line. In my opinion it is the product that is an issue, and the leader ship behind the product that has systems in place that prevent it's customers from the satisfaction that they should be receiving.

Camping World warranty repairs

We own a 2023 26rk Vibe purchased in Amarillo, Tx. We took it in for repairs in Lubbock, TX and got it back with nothing actually repaired to our satisfaction. My wife and I made a list which is still on our phones when we went in and handed it to the repairs supervisor. When we got it back a few days ago we have busted waterlines, and still no A/C in the living area.

I assumed the liabilty on the broken A/C unit, but we told them we had not winterized the unit and asked them if they would take care of it. They had the unit from 11/6/2023 until we picked it up 3/12/2024. They would not let us test the water lines at pickup time. We live 2 hours away and were already mad because some of the repairs were never done.

When we returned home I set it up and hooked up city water to the camper and started finding leaks. I have heard of horror stories about the services from Camping world, and now I am convinced most were true.

My wife and I are sorely disappointed in their warranty service and now wish we had never made the purchase.

The service supervisor said he did not know of most of the repairs requested even after we showed him the same list we had originally gave him. Then he showed me a paper I had signed that said we requested it not be winterized. This consisted of what appeared to be a stamp placed on the page that said not to winterize the unit.

We never expected the camper to be with them for over 5 months. Now we have a new camper that is not usable and broken. We both feel like we have been taken advantage of shoddy repair work and are looking into some sort of legal satisfaction. We are older and the 2 hour trip to the repair shop is taxing.

Claimed loss: leaking water system and broken drawer under the oven.

Desired outcome: We want our water lines checked and repaired, The original broked drawer under the stove fixed and an apology for keeping our camper for five months while we made payments on it.

Camping World I purchased a $50,000 rv on 2/22/2024 at a rv show. I was promised hitch as part of “let’s go camping” package but did not receive it.

I purchased a travel trailer on 2/29 for $50,000. I was promised a weight distribution hitch and the installation of an electronic brake module as part of “Let’s Go camping” package that I paid $2500. I Did not receive hitch nor the brake module. I Did not get walkthrough. The GM at the Mesquite Texas location, gave me a folder of papers at the time of sale, but failed to give me copies of the signed sales documents. After I realized the bill of sale was not in the packet, I called and asked him to email them to me. He said he would but did not. I emailed and called him several times asked him to send them to me but he refused.

Claimed loss: $2500

Desired outcome: I want what is coming to me or my money back for the “let’s go camping” package.I also want an audit of their business procedures. There is no valid reason not to get copies of my signed documents

Camping World Sanibel prime time rv 5th wheel

I purchased this trailer in 2022, immediate I began having issues. I have water damage in the storage area under that trailer due to the shower never being hooked up originally. I will need to have the floor replaced. My awning is also the cheapest piece of crap it is completely torn to sheds and the awning wont go in like its supposed to. I also had to have all plumbing and connections replaced due to leaking. I also have to replace the hot water tank as its leaking and the furnace needs to be replaced. This trailer is only a little over 1 yr old. For the money I purchased this for I accept to be compensated for all the work I have already done and paid for and what is to come.

Claimed loss: $15,000.00 is what I estimate is going to take care of my damages.

Desired outcome: $50,000 is what I want to make this right.

Camping World RV repairs

Referred a friend here based on reviews. Not only did they NOT fix the issues on the RV, but they caused additional problems after charging almost $8,000 for nothing. The customer service was piss poor, the management was unhelpful, and actually rude. I cannot believe the level of unprofessionalism and nonchalance from a seemingly top tier company. 0/10 would recommend again. I actually listened in over the phone while management blamed my friend for issues with the RV that were not fixed. I was stunned! I am so upset, that I'm currently asking questions of my lawyer friends to see what can be done. I will also be contacting the BBB with my friend, because this was a huge expense to walk away with more issues and no actual resolution to the original problem. Terrible company.

Camping World The entire sales experience

The absolute worst experience. Starts off the sales person Bill Walls was very unprofessional. It started off by riding around for 20 min, in a golf cart that barely ran. What's odd is that the other sales people had nice electric carts. Will not bring up the seat being soaking wet. Then after showing us one it took another hour to go look at 3 more. The very last one my wife and I liked. So after running my credit and waiting another 45 minutes he shows back up. Hands me a paper and said "this is worse case scenario, we ran your credit and think we could get your payments lower. I will call you Monday". By noon I thought I would call him. He is at a doctors appointment. Completely understandable. At 730pm he sends me a text that says"all denied sorry". Seriously that was it. Not a call back from anyone after several messages.

On November 25th we purchased a brand new 5th wheel camper from CW in Georgetown, KY. prior to visiting the lot, we spoke with Aaron regarding a deal. The deal was basically set once we arrived on the 25th. Aaron was out sick on the 25th so we met with Sarah a sales mgr who seemed very attentive initially. I bought a new 5th from Camping World in St George Ut. It took them 4 days to ready the Keystone rv for me to take. At the end of 4 days they could not fix all the items and told me to take it and go to my local Camping World 300 miles away. I took it as I had to go home. After getting home I waited 2 days and took it to the local dealership in Draper Ut. I...

Camping World Service for warranty work on my trailer

One star is too good a rating for Camping World in Uxbridge.

I bought a new camper in October 2022. There were problems from the beginning. Although the salesman was pleasant, there was no communication with anyone else. The manager did not pay attention to what I said and when I called back a week later, I was told that the financing hadn't been checked into yet. After that, the service department did not totally fix the issues I found with the camper prior to delivery. The man who delivered the trailer was lovely.

When I signed the financing papers, I explained that I would not be able to bring the trailer in for service and was told there is a mobile technician who would come to the camper to deal with issues.

At the beginning of the season in May 2023, I found an issue with the awning and immediately called service who did not respond or call me back. After numerous calls to service, an appointment was made for the mobile technician to come to the trailer. The morning he was to come, he called and said that he wasn't coming and asked me to send him pictures of the issue. I did so and nothing happened for about 3 more months. When I called back to see what was going on, I was told, oh the part is here, the technician will be there on a certain date. He did not show, nor did I receive a call. In their favor, I was told that he was on another call and may not be able to get there. Again, no call. When I called back to service, I was given a runaround. An appointment was made and I arranged for a neighbor to be available. The technician did not talk to her or explain what he was doing. In fact, after he left, the awning was worse than before he came. I spoke to service again and was told that there was a different issue but the technician did not take the appropriate pictures. I was asked to take pictures. After I opened the awning and finally found the area to take the picture, I started to put the awning back in and the cylinder fell off the side arm. Fortunately, my neighbor was able to help. I sent pictures of the fallen cylinder. It was now about 3 weeks before the manufacturer's warranty was ending. I was told that I would need to pay mileage for the technician to come out and that it didn't matter anyway because the damage was obviously caused by weather so it wouldn't be covered anyway.

I asked that all communication with the service department be provided to me and I have not heard anything back from them.

Promises made and broken. They want your money and will not live up to their warranty or promises to be available.

Camping World Service/customer service

The experience with the Manassas Virginia Camping World and Corporate office of Marcus Lemonis has been absolutely awful! The lack of urgency to resolve the issues, lack of respect and complete discrimination towards paying customers is disgusting!

We purchased a used RV in October 2022 and are in the resolution stages of an issue which was to be repaired shortly after purchasing. Just today, November 21, 2023, over a year, we have come to a resolution, however still not a happy customer!

During our test drive, prior to purchasing, we experienced a death wobble while driving on Sudley Manor Dr. The entire unit shook violently. We were all in shock and terrified. The salesman was at a loss for words and upon return to dealership, shared the experience with his DM. With that said we were told if purchased the death wobble, along with a few minor repairs (back up lights, etc.) the issues will be fixed. This was October 2022. Long story short, our RV was in the care of Camping World from November 2022 to May 2023 when we picked it up and still experienced the death wobble! During November 2022 to May 2023 the communications with the DM, head of service department and the service department was total disrespect, turned to be signs of discrimination. Our RV’s issue was not a major concern or priority. We reached out to corporate, Marcus Lemonis’ office and felt we would get the assistance needed. Well we were wrong. We went through months of spotty communication, 2 case managers, a supervisor manager and then a regional manager got involved in September 2023. We continuously went back and forth and waited weeks to get responses. Once a letter was sent stating we were done with trying to resolve the death wobble issue and expected a refund for our vehicle, things started moving, slowly! Camping World promised to fix the issue and was responsible for finding mechanics to do just that. They did send it to 2 locations between November 2022 and May 2023, however decided not to go with the recommended fix and use in house mechanic to replace king pins and motherboard. , which did not fix the issue. After picking RV up and still experiencing issue and waiting for communication from Camping World Manassas and corporate, we took our RV to a mechanic over 40 miles away. Remember we still have the death wobble and our safety as well as the other drivers on the road are in jeopardy. We received an estimate from the mechanic and corporate states they will only cover half of the estimate. Not acceptable for us. The longevity to come to a conclusion to fix the death wobble, the disrespect and discrimination to only cover partial is crazy. So we now go another month to resolve with corporate and the Regional Market Manager is now getting involved. We have a scheduled meeting to discuss payment of estimate and the treatment and of course 10 minutes into waiting for the meeting, we are told it needs to be rescheduled. So with numerous calls and emails after no communication as to date of rescheduled meeting, we finally get a call, Nov. 21, 2023 to have said meeting, without the Regional Market Manager. The proposed resolution was Camping World will cover full estimate with us the customer signing a release stating all and any other issues are null and void. The human resource issue with the disrespect, discrimination and amount of time to correct this issue will not be looked at other than in house as a training opportunity for employees. Camping World felt no compensation was needed.

Wow! So I do not recommend purchasing or dealing with Camping World at all and especially the Manassas VA location!

“If you’re not happy, I’m not happy.”. - Marcus Lemonis.

We are not happy!

Camping World Product/customer service

Yesterday I went to Camoing World in Spokane, Washiungton with my grandson to tow his newly purchased 33' travel trailer home. The service crew took my truck, installed the hitch and hooked up the trailer then brought it to the front lot and told us it was good to go. We headed home but went less than three miles on the freeway before I looked in the mirror and seen a tire smoking on the trailer. I pulled over on the shouldser and got out and the tire was a total loss, all shreddeed, etc. I understand tires sometimes go flat, but that isn't the reason for this complaint. There was a spare tire with the trailer but no jack or lug wrench, so we called Camping World and asked if they could send someone down to change the tire. We were told, "No we're are not a tire store and don't offer that service"! They told us to call a tire store and then file for reimbursement through the Good Sam deal. I called three local tire stores (while we sat on the shoulder of a very busy freeway) but none of them had service personnel available for at least 3-4 hours. Finally I drove slowly on the shoulder to the next exit and got off the freeway and found a wide spot to palrk. My grandson walked down the street to a small automotive shop and asked if they might have a jack we could borrow, and a very nice guy at the shop brought a jack and lug ranch and changed the tire for us, and refused letting us pay him ( I wish I remembered the name of the shop so I could give them a good review!) But the point is. I'll never give Camping World another nickles worth of business for refusing a simple service to a customer that had just spent over $40,000 in their business less than a hour earlier and I'll tell everyone I can about the poor customer relations they offer!
