WoodSprings Suites Incorrect order and unprofessional confrontation

I have been staying in this suite for over a few months now since August 28, 2023. Upon my stay it has been fairly good, up until I recently made payments in advance. The manager Jeremy Not only was really loud, but very confrontational like I had done something wrong. He was also upset I over heard he and Elijah talking about me, saying I was trying to get free things, (cussing) and "she already got military so why is she complaining". When Elijah noticed me standing there he alerted Jeremy and turned red because he realized I heard everything they said. After discussing that I owe and I am late 2 days, he proceeded to cut me off and did not hear my case about how he was wrong. Aside from his arrogance, I left the lobby to avoid confrontation as he was upsetting me at that moment, and he escalated it by knocking on my door quite upset and letting me know "He was NOT done talking". As he proceeded to try and explain a bill, I tried to stop him and let him know he was wrong and I had the proof in my hands. He finished talking, stating "I gave you the day to stay, YOUR WELCOME" and walked away refusing to hear me out. I had left a bad review and noticed the retaliation from the girl at the front desk, Joycelyn or Jaydalyn when she stated she could not let me back in my room. My evidence from every receipts proves that almost $100 I already paid is missing. I have been over paying and never recieved any other discount but the military for my review. I have been over paying and I would appreciate you looking and investigating further. I will continue my stay for business purposes and I want a full formal apology from Jermey and his staff for the confusion they brought to me door and rudly dismissed upon being wrong.

Claimed loss: $100 or more

Desired outcome: Formal apology and compensation for money stolen

WoodSprings Suites - Ozone machine constantly used by manager

The hotel manager frequently leaves the ozone machine running for hours and even DAYS at a time, exposing us and the other guests to ozone. We're experiencing headaches, burning eyes, coughing. We've asked the manager to stop running the machine for extended periods of time and explained to him that the constant ozone exposure is dangerous and unhealthy. He...

WoodSprings Suites Bad Customer Service

Stayed at the Quantico VA location for 2 weeks today, on the 3rd day of my stay the ac unit started to make a terrible noise which woke me up in the middle of the night I reported it to the front desk the next day to the young lady that was working the she wrote up the ticket and stated that it would be taken care of i asked her if she could switch my room but was told no other rooms were available. Today 10-9-23 i go to the front desk to pay the bill and i meet GM Tyree Davis for the 1st time i told him about the issue he wrote up the ticket to address the issue his whole vibe was fake and he lacks the customer service skills for the job he calls me to tell me that i gave false information on my review note 10-9-23 was the 1st time i ever seen Mr Davis he was over talking me so i hung up, obviously there is a lack of communication with his management team and his listening skills cause he took my communication with the young lady who i originally reported the issue to as if i said my statements to him. I am certain that Mr Davis has other Compliants on him because am not the type to write reviews or contact Corp. but in this case i had no choice you are not going to call me over talk me and tell me what words came out of my mouth.

WoodSprings Suites Manager

I have concerns regarding the management practices at Woodspring Suites in Odessa, TX, specifically at the address 7051 Tres Hermanas Blvd. There seems to be an issue where assistant managers are allowed to mistreat staff and abuse their authority.

Additionally, there are concerns about the promotion process. It seems regular staff and even managers are being unfairly promoted or overlooked. I feel ignored by the main office personnel, as if they don't even acknowledge my presence.

I am considering forwarding an email to seek feedback on these issues. Moreover, I am deeply concerned about the mistreatment of people with disabilities at this location. It has come to my attention that there might be potential wage violations, with some staff being underpaid, especially those in assistant manager roles. I believe the assistant manager in question needs to be addressed or possibly removed to ensure a fair and respectful work environment.

WoodSprings Suites Stephanie Front Desk Employee

Stephanie who works from Desk seems to think she can go into anybody's room whenever she feels like it. We are extended guest who does not cause any problems and we pay on time every week, I have caught Stephanie coming out of my room and no reason to be in my room, when notes need to be placed on doors about repairs she tapes everyone else's on their door and enters my room and throws it on the floor. I have repeatedly told her she is violating our rights as guest here she does not care. last week me and some people from here were outside smoking a cig and placed them in my throw away cup instead of placing them on the ground< I came up to change to get ready to go somewhere and changed clothes and had emptied my pockets and had a cigarette in my pocket that I didn't want to throw on the ground and put it on night stand while changing, I picked up the cigarette and I guess the ashes from inside of it fell on to nightstand I walked over to the kitchen sick and was pouring out the liquid from the cup that had our cigs in it so I can throw the cigs away. well the ashes from it I did not get a chance to wash sink out as someone knocked on my door and I had walked out with them so they could take me to work. Stephanie was at end of hallway instead of asking me the question if maid cleaned my room she waited till I was on elevator and went to my room and went thru it. she then charged my room $250 even after she agreed my room did not smell like cigarettes have been smoked in there. she came outside where I was after I came back and said she was sorry don't be mad at her I asked what she just didn't ask me about it and why not ask about charging my room. she replied its their policy to see if maids have cleaned. so I said well if its your policy to check the room to see if they cleaned it should be your job to make them clean it when noticed they didn't. I gave her two days to follow her policy she mentioned and no maid has ever my room 10 months I have been here not once.. Friday she locked me from my room after the fact my room and the $250 charge was charged to my room. as me and my friend walked in she yells Laura you have to sign this I said I do not agree with that and did not authorize you to charge my card $250 extra she implied my husband did and that is false he authorized the room charge for the week. she then told me I had to have a card to get in I implied I have my cards and she laughs and said no your locked out till you sign this.. I was very upset especially since their was a man standing there watching and listening to her who was caught smoking weed in his room and could smell it down the hallway etc.. she did not charge this person $250 nor did she remove him from the premises which is in the policy for the hotel.. I did not smoke in my room it was something I was trying to avoid throwing on the ground and did not have a chance to clean up the little bit of wet ashes. I placed a do not disturb sign on my door while I was gone yesterday Thursday September 14 that note was removed off my door and once again she came into my room.. I want something done about this I have my rights to privacy and not worrying about her coming into my room going thru my things.. I have addressed it with her since she started working here and that does not stop her she says she can do whatever she wants and go into anybody's room when she feels like it. she has no respect for people on how she talks to anybody here or anybody trying to come in and get a room. I have always helped anybody here including her who need it.. I do not cause problems and they hardly even see me here because I work.. I would like my $250 back and would like something done about her going into my room whenever she feels like it.. I have contacted my attorney about this and would like it to be handled this way instead of another way thru courts,

Desired outcome: I would like my $250 back and would like something done about her going into my room whenever she feels like it.. I have contacted my attorney about this and would like it to be handled this way instead of another way thru courts,,,

WoodSprings Suites Roaches

Good evening. I have checked into the hotel on August 24,2023 at 12:39a.m.

The check in was awesome. The problem came about in morning when I went to the bathroom to get ready to grab something to eat at the nearby restaurant. I walked into the bathroom to a few roaches crawling around the toilet as well as going up the wall. I have brought it to the attention of the front desk and the young lady said that she will let them know. I would have appreciated if she would have at least said “Ma’am I do apologize about that and is there anything I can do to resolve this” instead she just to the room key and continued doing whatever she was doing. My room number was 110.

WoodSprings Suites Service and civil rights violations also child abuse

I have been residing at Woodworking suites in Topeka Kansas since 07/13/2023 until present.I initially paid a week and have been paying daily since.I spoke with the front desk receptionist at least 3times explainng that the payment would be paid around 5pm-6pm due to my husband being at work and he gets paid daily. The Manager/front desk clerk agreed to this yet deactivated the card every day after 07/20/23.I would have to go get the card re-activated after I spoke with him.I had to wait outside for 15 mins the last occurance with my 1yt old child in weather of 107.00 Kansas has been in a heat wave.I am at a point where.I am making Corporate aware of the inhumane treatment that I have been subjected to here at the Woodsprings suite. And also asking for compensation because of this .Or I will pursue Legally the maximum amount of.compensation available for human rights violations of this nature.I was intentionally locked out of the hotel consecutively in a heatwave for 5 days and the card I was given was defective.

Desired outcome: Compensation and also for the staff that had a verbal confrontation with me.to be fired ., because she verbally stated she did not care about my child being outside in 107.degree weather.

WoodSprings Suites Manager

One morning after finally checking into bellflower wood springs suites as I was leaving in car I noticed a guest had a note on her car door, I went to read it and when I was walking to my car a lady started yelling at me and rushing over to me screaming if that was my car? I said no she continued screaming wanting to know owner of cars names, I said Malissa she asked what room was she in? I didn't remember and had to go back into room to notify owner that manager wanted her to go outside because she had been cat sitting and woman thought the cat was left in car without water or food? Which it was not. She yelled at owner, stated she was not allowed to return and if she didn't stop to be yelled at she would kick entire guests out. Melissa had to stay on streets for 2 days till owner of cat returned so cat could be back home. She never abused cat nor neglected it. This woman had audacity to go make my mom who is 78 years old go downstairs to yell at her also. This person was so rude, emotionally and mentally abusive to us. Then, when I went to ask for extended stay, I was only told on last day of stay that we were not allowed to book any more time there. She never gave us any notice that she was not going to allow us to continue our stay there till I went to extend our stay the day before we were to check out. This lady has no manager nor customer service skills whatsoever, she gives wood springs suites q name and we would not ever stay at such a place again. What made it worse was not being able to get a contact number of her boss? Till this here I have found no contact Information to anyone. Makes it appear that no one cares how guests are treated and threatened. Very bad service

Thank you, Cathy Rooney. [protected].

Desired outcome: For my complaint to be acknowledged and this manager to be disciplined or at least trained correctly on how to treat guests.

WoodSprings Suites Woodsprings Suites Chesapeake Virginia.

THE PROBLEM:

I was dropped off at WoodSpring Suites Chesapeake-Norfolk South by the Cab driver, at 1:45 am. There was no one available!

No one was on the desk. There was no bell to ring. I was able to come into the waiting area but you had to have a key to get into the lobby. There was a phone in that waiting area to call. I was waiting on that phone for 15 to 30 minutes and no one was available to assist.

There were business cards on the ledge and I called and left messages at each number, no response.

I had to go to the restroom. Some residents let me into the lobby area only to find out ALL DOORS IN THE LOBBY AREA WERE LOCKED. So I returned to the Waiting area and used the phone on the wall again.

There was no help!

IT IS NOW 3:00 AM.

I had nowhere to go. I had No Transportation, and everything was closed. I left this hotel to walk to the main road to see if I could see anything that was open that I could walk to.

I called Booking.com several times but they are a third party so they could not help. They apologized for the situation I was in.

I was walking down a major highway, trying to get near the areas where I saw lights. I was crying, pulling my suitcase, and trying to balance my bag on my shoulder. I cannot walk long distances because of my back problem but I was trying to get somewhere where I could get assistance.

I finally saw a police car and flagged the officer down. He rolled down the window and asked if I was ok and I responded NO. He told me to stay right there, and he would come to me. I broke down when he reached me. He said he was concerned as to why I was walking done that main highway at that time in the morning.

The officer was very kind and allowed me to collect myself so that I could explain my situation. Another officer joined him in his car. The officer put me and my bag in his car and took me to a Quality Inn where he knew there was a gentleman on the desk that would be able to get me a room. He told Bob to take care of me,

The room at the Quality Inn was unbelievable. No air, broken blinds, and the room faced the Waffle House, so privacy was a challenge.

In a few hours, I was with my cousin.

I followed up with Booking.com who said they were “escalating” the complaint and would get back to me. I called back every two days and I was told they were still addressing it.

I was told on 4/22/2023, that my 15.99 would be refunded and I would receive an email. The refund would take 8 to 10 days.

I was also told that they had spoken to WoodSpring Suites on my behalf and registered a complaint. I asked if anyone planned on calling me and giving me an apology. I was told NO.

Desired outcome: No one felt that this situation was worthy of their time and attention. Not an apology. No compensation for the major inconvienance.Suppose this was your 72 year old mother.

WoodSprings Suites Front desk attendant

Front desk employee is Beyond Rude..

This was the second time my girlfriend and I tried to stay at this location in West Palm Beach Okeechobee Blvd..

The guy at the front desk is extremely condescending. The farthest thing from friendly looks at you like you’ve got two heads when you ask a question speaks with hostility in his voice and rude isn’t even the word to used to describe this guy..

Last week on roughly June 21, 2023 we proceeded to go to the exact same location to book a hotel, but due to the same front desk attendant extremely bad attitude we left. Tonight on June 29, 2023 we decided to try to give it another shot hoping that that employee would not be there, but in fact he was there and this time my girlfriend went in there, and he gave her the exact same attitude, if not worse that he gave me a week prior. Do you guys have the wrong type of employee in a business that Hass to strictly meet the standards of the customer especially being in the hospitality business

Desired outcome: I would like the employee to be terminated or relocated, and would like a two night free stay, considering the fact that was our second time trying to book there

WoodSprings Suites Security, unauthorized charged to all cards on our file. Illegal towing of 3 vehicles, defamation of character

My husband and I started our stay at this specific property on December 10, 2020. We were 3 months shy of completing 2 years when we moved out. During that time, we had a total of 8 general managers. The 8th manager made our lives miserable, and we continue to suffer from their actions to this day.

Initially, we had a firm agreement with the very first manager regarding our daily payments for the meat products we sell. Our rate was set at $62.00 each day for the remainder of our stay. Additionally, we were allowed to have a charge account of up to $400 that we could replenish if necessary, paying it off at the beginning of each month if utilized. However, when the 8th manager arrived, issues started to arise.

One particular day, the manager noticed we owed $42.00 and came to our door, demanding that we step out into the hallway. This had been attempted by the staff previously, but it didn't work then either. My husband refused to open the door or step out and explained through the door that we were fully aware of our rights as tenants, not guests.

Later, the manager returned and taped a false 3-day eviction notice to our door. I contacted an attorney, who then sent a letter to the manager, highlighting their illegal actions and requesting that they follow the appropriate guidelines for an eviction.

Within an hour, I received notifications from two of my debit card companies, indicating charges made by WoodSpring Suites. I immediately contacted both card companies to initiate disputes for these charges. This made me question how the manager accessed not just one but two of my cards. They went through the long list of cards we had on file and attempted to charge each and every one, including cards belonging to friends and family who had paid for us during our stay. One such card, belonging to my mother-in-law, was charged an exorbitant $1800.00! In total, they charged $2800.00 across all the cards, all for a mere $42.00.

Regarding the delinquent balance, both before and after the manager helped themselves to the cards, when we requested a printout of our balance from staff members, it showed a balance of zero.

The following week, this manager had our 2008 Chevy Avalanche towed from the parking lot without warning us beforehand. Then, by some strange twist of fate, our 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix was stolen from the parking lot. After filing a police report, we were promised access to view the security tapes by the regional manager, who also promised us 3 nights free to compensate for our problems with the stolen car. However, we were never given that access.

A week and a half later, a friend sold us a 2008 Honda Civic Hybrid on payment so that we could get back to work. On the morning of our appointment with an attorney regarding the aforementioned issues, I went to get something from the Honda, only to find it gone. I panicked, considering that we had just experienced the theft of our other car. Surprisingly, no one informed us about it. When the evening staff member came on duty and asked me about my car while I was outside smoking, I was confused. He said he urgently needed to talk to me when he finished at 10 pm. I met him, and he informed me that the manager was laughing when he told him that he had the Honda towed as well. I contacted the tow company contracted with WoodSpring for towing, and there was our Honda. The staff member told me that when he filled out the invoice, he asked the manager for the reason to tow it so he could write it down, but the manager said he didn't need a reason since he is the manager and has the right to tow any vehicle.

Since we were still making payments on the Honda, and it was not in either of our names yet, we couldn't retrieve it from impound. The person we were buying it from had moved out of state, making them unavailable.

The last invoice I saw for the Honda showed an impound bill of $4900.00, and it was going up for auction.

My husband immediately found another vehicle for us and bought it. When I returned to the property, I provided the office staff with the car's information to add to our registry card. However, the next morning, the manager had that car towed as well. This time, we managed to retrieve it from impound after paying $540.00.

Needless to say, we finally found an apartment and moved out.

Recently, I discovered that this manager embezzled over $10,000 from WoodSpring. They were terminated for their actions. It turns out they were addicted to crack cocaine and used the funds solely for that purpose. They also provided free rooms to potential suppliers, among other things. This person took $17,000 worth of vehicles from us on top of the card charges. I attempted to contact corporate to report what they had been doing to us, but it proved to be futile.

Desired outcome: We would appreciate full reimbursement of the impound and value of the vehicles that were towed. Which is right around 20 thousand. That isn't even taking onto consideration everything we suffered thru

WoodSprings Suites Disrespectful guest

I booked a room here 06/2/23-06/5/23 on the second floor for three nights in a row I’ve complained about the people above me making a lot of noise, whoever these employees I was talking to at the front desk told me “ they have heard this before “ and he was going to say something to them. Obviously he never did because whoever is up there constantly keeps doing it. This is a very unprofessional hotel and doesn’t follow through with their policies. You charge all this money per night and people can’t even get a good nights rest!

WoodSprings Suites Inappropriate removal for complaining about noise.

I am sending this email on behalf of my wife spencer who was removed from room 124 on May 23, 2023, because she complained multiple times about the noise that was coming from above in room 224. My wife and are both senior citizens. Furthermore, we stay at this location in the past year for nearly 3 months without any incidents. If we complained about a problem, it was fixed, like the fridge that wasn't working or the noise issue that resulted in us being moved to another room. But what happened on May 23, 2023, at approximately 8:30 PM is that the front desk receptionist calls the police on my wife to have her removed from the property because she complained about the noise above her. My wife in fact after several failed attempts to get the matter resolved she tapped on the ceiling after someone dropped something loud on the floor. Consequently, the receptionist ended calling the police and she was given 30 minutes to vacate the property. This is a shame and a miscarriage of justice. My wife did not deserve this, she paid for her room in full for one week and was removed on the fourth day because the complaints she made. She was scapegoated because is you have someone who is disturbing another guess and you can't discipline them but instead choose to remove the patron who is complaining you are not solving the issue you are excusing bad behavior and dismissing decent patrons for asking for help. My wife deserves an apology and a refund. Please refund the remaining three nights that are outstanding. Please address the receptionist who removed my wife from her room in such a rude manner. There needs to be more training in conflict resolution you can't remove someone because they complain about the noise. This behavior is unacceptable and must be dealt with immediately. My wife is owed an apology for being throwing out and force to find another hotel close to the Stafford Hospital to manage her medical appointments.

Thank you,

Mr. Spencer

Desired outcome: Refund for three nights, an apology and further staff training in conflict resolution.

WoodSprings Suites Fraudulent use of my credit card/zero complaint resolution policies

My wife and I stayed at a Woodpsring Suites for one night in August 2022.$127.00 on my credit card. I had to provide picture ID.

In May of 2023, I received my credit card bill and there was $667.00in charges for several rooms and several nights at this same hotel. I was 1800 miles away those days.

This hotel is the only place in that town where I used my card. When trying to contact the hotel itself no one answered the first day I tried. A few days later someone answered but said the manager would call me back. Never happened. Called again , promised the same thing, never happened.

After many attempts to get in touch with Woodspring higher ups and no luck, I was routed to Choice Hotels who is the parent company. Very poor VOIP connections to a foreign country. When asked could I be forwarded to a member of management i was sent to a line that auto-disconnected me after ringing for a minute.

i have since canceled my card and am awaiting a replacement and now am going through the hassle of updating all my recurring accounts .

This hotel either has a very flawed IT system or an employee who accessed my personal information from its system to either charge up a few rooms for someone on my nickel or to pocket the cash from the till.

I would think something like this would be something management would want to fix and solve immediately but this company is extremely non communicative and has no clear complaint resolution procedure. Because of this experience , I certainly will never stay at a Woodspring and it is very unlikely I will stay at any of those owned by Choice either.

Desired outcome: Full explanation of what happened, appropriate steps taken, proof that my personal information has been deleted from its records and a clear and accessible path by Choice to solve issues when guests have a problem.

WoodSprings Suites All in general

My sisters and I stayed at WoodSpring suites in Gainesville Florida off of I 75 date May 12 left May 13. On top of that TV there is a device. Looks like a camera facing the beds. hallway day and night smelled of marijuana all the time. Kitchenette had no bowls, plates, silverware, etc. no ice in the ice trays freezer. No icemaker machine in hallway, no coffee pot maker in restroom. One bar soap two towels two wash cloths that’s it. No shampoos base of the tub was rust. They covered it with white tape shower tub faucet stays on tub and shower at same time position. Key cards to the room and entry at the area never work well at all. they had to come to open to let us in. $100 it cost to stay in this deplorable hotel room. Unsatisfactory won’t return.
