I drove 2 1/2 miles to the BK #09242 to get a lunch meal for my wife and myself. I had a coupon #1676 and ordered one Whopper with ONLY mayo and onions.
As I pulled up to the window the young man said hold on and minute as the window closed again. He came back and I said "is that the order with the Mayo and onion ONLY, to which he responded yes. He proceeded to hand my the lg drinks, and then the bag of food and I drove back the 2 1/2 miles to my house where my wife was waiting for our lunch. I started to unpack the lunch bag... one lg fry, two Lg fries, and one Whopper, so I picked up the receipt and got the phone number off of it. I called the store number to tell the manager that I was shorted the Whopper. the phone rang and rang and then was hung up on, this was starting raise my blood pressure, so I called back again, ring... ring... ring and then hung up on again. I told my wife to strip off the lettuce and tomato, and pickles off the one Whopper (as she had ordered the Mayo and onions only) and go head and eat. I got back into my car and drove back the 2 1/2 miles to the store and went inside to talk to the manager, as I walked up to the counter the young man said I'll be with you in a minute, to which I said I need to talk to the manager. The other man (Jordan) that was on the window came over and said he was the manager and what did I want so I proceeded to say that I was shorted a Whopper and he said yes here it is. I told he I didn't want it as it was cold and by the time I drove home again the whole meal would be cold, that a total refund was in order. He said for me to drive home and bring back the meal and he would, VERY Sharply) if I didn't he would only refund the Whopper in his hand. Bad customer relations, store soiled my wife and my lunch, drove 5 miles to shop in your store, and told unless I brought back the cold food was the only way to rectify the bad experience at your store. I took the refund for the single Whopper and thought"I will never come back to the store again and that I would go home and put the experience on Facebook and Nextdoor but I thought I would like to see what the upper management would do with this experience.
