Burger King Great start, but not there yet

The app works, has nice exclusive savings and lets me use Apple Pay without interacting with a human. All pluses!

There are quite a few drawbacks. First is that it is sometimes very slow. WiFi, no WiFi it doesn’t matter. The loading just keeps going.

Next is poor order of operations. You don’t get charged until you hit the “I’m here” button. So picture it. You’re finishing up groceries, you place an order for drive through pickup. You get in line and hit I’m here. It takes forever then tells you that an item in your cart isn’t available and check your cart. Pressure! Your next in line! So you check your cart and... it doesn’t tell you which item is the problem. Huh, ok. Guess I’ll get out of line and go somewhere else.

The order of messages is a problem in other places. For instance you choose a coupon for $3 off $10. You add a $6 item, then decide you really just want two of them. So you can just go to the cart and change the quantity. Nope. You get a message that your coupon doesn’t work and remove it or add items. Click add items and it’ll let you change quantity then. Nope. You have to find and add the item again. Hope you remember all the special items your or your friend wanted added or taken off. You'll have to do that step over instead of hitting one button.

The level of food customization allowed on the app is poor. If you want a side salad with your combo instead of fries or onion rings; not allowed. If you don’t want another burger, just another patty, it won’t do that either.

The last thing is unhelpful error messages. When it tells you an item in your cart isn’t available and you’re left to wonder what that means. One of my favorites, your payment failed. Then you don’t know if it declined, if it was a connection issue, or what.

Overall I think the app is a good start, but feels underdeveloped. I’d expect this level of function from a beta, not a national company roll out. It gets 2 stars.

Burger King Wonky App

Fast forward 6 months, so far we have only been able to use the gift card on the app one time, after I got frustrated and finally entered a credit card to pay for our meal. Then the app took the money out of the gift card. I removed the credit card from the app.
On December 11th I needed to reload the gift card to order a meal with it a week ago. That has to be done on line, not on the app. Added $25 to our gift card and received a confirmation number for the transaction by email. It said it would be 20 minutes to 6 hours. We bought dinner at Subway whose gift card smoothly reloads every time we reload and order using their app and our Subway gift card. On the 13th, when Burger King had processed the charge through our bank, I checked the BK app to see if the $25 had been added to our gift card. It had not been added. I checked again on the 17th, still not added. I called the service department, gave them the reload Transaction number, gift card number, the date they ran the charge, my name etc THREE times. Then was told it hadn’t gone through. I said yes it did BK ran the charge on the 13th, then the person asked me for the numbers again. I told her I had already given her the information 3 times. What absolutely lousy service. The app, the web site, and customer service have a major disconnect. And who knows what they did with the $25.

About a month ago I got a Burger King gift card. Downloaded the app. Loaded the $25 card along with my name email and birthdate. All that shows up in app. Fast forward to tonight, returned late from vacation, filled out order for our food, picked nearest store that was open. Picked my gift card for payment.When I click submit it went back to confirm store I clicked confirm the store it went back to select payment picked the card hit submit and it went back to confirm store and continue doing that every time I hit each of those so 45 minutes later we’re picking up dinner from Taco Bell.And for some stupid reason the app was hanging up on that

Burger King Terrible App and Poor Customer Service as a result

I used the app to place an order for two milkshakes for five dollars, the I added a combo bundle and a two for six special. The e-receipt for my order said that the milkshake offer had been applied. But I noticed I wasn’t charged the $5 for them. So upon arrival I gave my order and notified the drive through employee what I had ordered and that it didn’t show. She said not to worry just pull on around. Once there I received the order minus the two milkshakes for the kids. I explained and showed the cashier that I had ordered them on my phone and she said no problem would you like me to go ahead and place the order now and I agreed if I could apply the offer. This is when Elisa the manager got involved. She was happy to point out that the app had problems and that wasn’t her problem and that she would not be honoring the offer since it did not show on her receipt despite her and three others verifying that I had indeed placed the order via the app. I told her that she could see it was orders and she rolled her eyes and said not my problem. The employee behind her suggested that they just give them to me since I didn’t make the error, it was the app. Even though I had touched the shakes along with about three or four others at this point probably. At this point she said no she would just give them to someone else. So this is how their app works and their management team exemplifies customer service. I suggest if you have an urge to eat fast food you just drive through or try another app. I understand that you have to work through things with apps but the Elisa the manager made sure to inform me that it wasn’t her issue and that she was powerless to work through any issues that might arise. This is not something that you want to try to explain to two toddlers. So... if that’s the case they should stop use until it has been tested and verified 100% otherwise the customer and their kids are the ones who pays the price because it is obvious that management can’t do anything and would rather just throw away the food.

Burger King 1+ month ,still no refund.the KING is DEBO

So to go along with all the terrible things that has gone wrong in 2020, I was robbed by Burger King. After numerous calls to this companies customer service team (8 or more), my issue have still mot been satisfied. Dec 17 2020 my money was taken for services (food) never rendered. So, on the 19th I called and I was told my money she be returned in the next 3-7 business days. Now it is the 31st of January which is roughly 5 times the amount of days required to reverse a transaction. After to speaking to numerous customer service representatives and supervisors I have still not received the $35 I need. In the times of past c and lack of money, The King has seen it fit to further push my financial status into peril. This is evident by the way my situation has been handled. So now I am here to give a warning to anyone who loves Burger King the way I once did. BURGER KING DOES NOT CARE FOR ITS CUSTOMERS. I urge you to take heed to my warnings as I have been sent in a merrygoround of lies. I have been hung up on. I have been deceived. I have been robbed. I have been told stories of escalating my case, only to be lip serviced, with no happy ending...THE KING? THE ! Don’t be they’re next victim!

Burger King BK needs to fix it’s stuff fast

Consistently getting incomplete or no order at all and the customer service from BK is atrocious at best.

Regularly get incomplete orders and the only resolution offered is a partial refund. Which is absurd, every legitimate delivery service redelivers the missing items. That’s the problem Bk uses the crap Door Dash which like it’s compatriots Grub Hub and Uber Eats is an illegally operating predatory corporation that violates labor laws and robs both restaurants and customers using excessive fees on both as well as overcharging, but I degrees.

Last two times got only drinks and some of the sides. This last time was give someone else’s sides which wasn’t even part of the receipt on the bag for a third customer. Meaning 3 people got the wrong items this last time.

Only support is via email and it takes days if not weeks to get responses. This last time couldn’t even reach them via email because their app was malfunctioning. Had to call their 800 number to be told someone will eventually reach out to me via email. Person was very rude and argumentative too, as well as providing zero help at all. I’ve kept saying never again after each delivery debacle but this for real the end. Only pickup going forward, if that.

Burger King No customization for Breakfast items

I was shocked at the lack of the ability to customize your order when ordering breakfast items via delivery. Also, I had ordered two coffees with one being regular and the other being decaf (significant other CANNOT have regular caffeinated coffe), I was further shocked I there was no option to add any creamer/sugar/splenda, just straight up black coffee (McD’s and Wendy’s offers this in their respective apps).

Received my order and to which the two coffees I ordered were not marked on the cups in any way, shape, or form. I know this is error on the employee preparing the order and not the app solely, but there should be a comment section at the very least to further state special instructions for food allergens or the like. So taking caution I tested each coffee to figure out the decaf and thought it was identified.

Nope!...Significant other ended drinking some of the regular caffeinated coffee and that didn’t go over so smooth with the heart rate but she is fine now thankfully. Unless these obvious oversights get resolved, I will skip the blatant hassle and potential danger of using this app until these issues are addressed entirely! I don’t understand, how are these very basic elements absent from your app and as a blatant oversight?!

Burger King Delivery service may run away with your food

App in of itself is serviceable. Unfortunately due to the TOTAL disconnect between doordash ( which they use for delivery ) and them, if your driver runs off with your food you are screwed. Happened to me - driver supposedly picked up the order, ran away with the food and then apparently canceled the pick-up. Another driver was assigned to pick up, and was told it had already been picked up. 2nd driver asked if he could “cancel” the pickup, I said that was OK and he proceeded to mark it as “delivered”. Basically, on the wrong day, the entire process is a mess.

BK provide zero guarantees for a pickup service that THEY chose to use ( they have not even responded to a refund request ). The store will claim they have no power to issue refunds, and the app has no live support.

Doordash is a joke as well. Their system should mandate that both the business and the driver have the capability to mark something as picked up. The moment those two do not match should be when their customer service ( if they have any) take action. If that was the case, it would have been flagged immediately the driver attempted to cancel because the restaurant would have already marked it as picked up. If they have this feature already, then it is clearly broken.

I don’t particularly care about the money. But this guarantees I won’t be using this app or door dash in the future.

Burger King Dysfunctional operation, poor management (burger king)

06-15-23 at 0720 hrs. This location is consistently not conveying a good look for the Burger King Name. They do not open on time, they are out of product, they never have change, or you just get ignored while you are waiting for a response in the drive-thru. On several occasions, after ordering food, the cashier states they do not have change. They refused my order of 2 croissants, because the total was $6.50, i tendered $7.00. The cashier said she did not have change. .50 cents. I stated that I had been there this week as well, and at opening they already got me for .50 cents. I further stated that I would not pay extra bad customer service. The cook or manager shouted in the background that they were cancelling my order. The cashier gave my money back, and said they were going to wait on the people behind me. The cook /manager came to the window and said "We cancelled the order, so you don't have anything to complain about. "You should have thought about that when you said you were not paying for extra for bad service". He said he had the right to refuse service to anyone. They were wrong, apparently I could be short on the transaction, but they could not. Totally unexpected brazen inappropriate comments, unwarranted for their poor management in opening

for business. Always something there. Public restrooms have been closed before with signs not to enter, please send Code Compliance to check for that. Always has the same old excuses (which reflects weak to non-existent management skills) This location should just close down and stop embarassing and defaming Burger King brand. So shameful to allow this to continue. the building is a "tear down" property, and the employees and manager are running it like they think it is ok to speak and act as if they are at home , not a business. minimum wage Diva's, ghetto mentality. offered to call the News Media to come in with cameras to observe.

Desired outcome: Close it down, it is beyond ignorant management. Poor staffing, Fire them all, put some other business there. The reputation is awful. my co-workers have said the same.

Burger King Mobile order

On 6/14/2023 at 12:05pm, against my better judgement I placed a mobile order of double whopper and a small onion rings to be picked up at 12:25pmThe location of the Burger King was at 9031 Old Dixie Hwy. Lake Park, FL 33403. Store# 2993.

I arrived at 12:30pm, went up to the counter tom pick my order up. I was told my order was not ready (Not the first time this has happened) it happens EVERYTIME, but this is the first time I have decided to complaint.

Anyhow, to continue, there were approximately 5 people in line waiting to order. To make a long story short every one of the 5 people ordered their food and RECEIVED their food, before I got mine.

I asked a manager a black male to why the people came in after I had placed a mobile order gets to have their food and I made an order 45 minutes ago still don't have mine. He looked at me but ignored my question. Instead the cashier answered by saying "as you can see we're busy"

A short time later a black female manager came in and asked me to how she can help me. I explained my situation to her that I ONLY had 1/2 hour for lunch (much like other blue colored workers) that's why I placed my mobile order so I can enjoy my lunch. However, my order was never made and others who came after me had ordered, received their lunch, ate and left. I still had not received mine.

She then made the order herself and handed it to me. By this time I was 20 minutes late coming back to work and I will be deducted for that missed time. Why should I pay, It is not fair! I would have left but my order was repaid.

If you're that busy at lunchtime lunch time which is usually from 12:00 noon to 1:00PM, then staff accordantly. PLEASE consider people who work, who ONLY gets ½ for lunch and their lunch time starts at 12:00 noon.

As stated above this is not something happens once in a while. It’s every time. Too bad for me because I happen to like Burger King and it’s the only one close to my work, but I can’t go there anymore because I simply don’t have the time. Thanks for letting me vent.

Burger King Mobile app, unhelpful employees

I was in front of the Burger King at 3221 Coors Blvd, Albuquerque, NM and I put in a mobile order. When I pulled in and gave the order they told me that the mobile order was routed to a location 5.5 miles away. I asked if they could fill it and they said no, they didn't have access to it. Really? If McDonalds routes to a different location, they can easily reroute it to the location you show up at. Why would your mobile app route my order to a place 5.5 miles away from where I'm at (in front of a BK)?

I asked to talk to a supervisor and they were very rude and short and unwilling to help in any way so I had to drive 5.5 miles out of my way to pick up my order.

Desired outcome: Fix your system and talk to the employees who were unwilling to help me.

Burger King Service and price

10 minutes ago, I went to the Drive Thru at Georgetown Burger King - I ordered 2 Whopper Jr's and a Medium Iced Coffee. They gave me the price of $10.97. I knew it was wrong, but the speaker was quiet.

I am asked please drive to the first window - I sit there awhile (no one there) so I pull to the second window - I am asked to move ahead by the young lady and she walks away so I do. The same young lady came to my window and asked if I paid - I said no and questioned the cost, I asked if the iced coffee was $5.00 - because 2 Whopper Jrs are $5.00 per marquee and sign on window. SO was adamant that it was $10.97, I didn’t want to argue with her, so I gave her $11.00 and asked for a receipt - 3- 5 minutes later a young man walks a bag to my window. He said I think this is yours and handed me my bag - there was no receipt or change I was blocking the drive thru so I just took it - I only had a half hour for lunch so I left and went back to work. At work I tried to call the store, but call will not go through.

The Iced Coffee was terrible.

Burger King Missing multiple items from order

Missing several items from order that was pre-paid.

A co-worker went back to the restaurant to retrieve missing items.

When she returned to the restaurant, MGR Carlo made the person PAY AGAIN. He was extremely rude to her, started speaking in spanish to his coworkers and yelling at her refusing to replace items.

He is an embarrassment to the professional field of management. He needs to work on customer service skills and service recovery skills. Shame on him making someone pay again for missing items because she was scared and embarrassed.

He should be fired. Complete disgrace. There are NUMEROUS negative reviews out there on him. READ THEM and follow through on his negative tone and actions!

Desired outcome: REFUND THE MONEY TO BOTH PARTIES.My coworker and myself!!!

Burger King Food was so cold

Doors were locked, so went through drive through. Very slow service (20 minutes) for 3 meals and our food was Extremely cold. Very disappointing, driving 10 hours wanted something quick. The kids were hungry, now have to go elsewhere because unable to eat chicken sandwich and whoppers. To afraid of getting sick, we are only half way into trip. $35 down the drain.

Desired outcome: Fix this restaurant so no one else gets ripped off.

Burger King Worker

Hello! I am currently working at Burger King. When I first signed up for my Gps ulti pro account and I entered my information to get paid wrong and I was working for 2 weeks for around 20-30 hours per week probably more for the second week and less for my first, but I didn't get paid for it. I did my clock ins and clock outs, and you can see I entered my info wrong. I have no more proof than that. I gave my manger my bank info after getting lots of help from my mom but I'm not sure she's corrected it, so again I may not be getting paid for my work. My mom thinks there taking advantage of me because I'm young, I'm new to all this, it's my first job and I'm starting too also. I also texted her about my ulti account and the access code and she never got back to me and before I went the pelican state to sign up for the bank, I asked her about pay card and I also need the access code for our burger king because I thought about using cash App and she completely ignored me. Shes always on her phone when I'm at work and they have a group chat with other coworkers. I'm pretty sure she's seen it she just chose to ignore it. I really don't know where to go to this about, but I need the situation fixed so I can get paid and I can have access to my information and everything else.

Burger King Rotten food that made my grandson & I both sick zt our stomachs and very poor customer service!!!

After seeing a movie together last night (6/10/23) at around 9:30 PM my Grandson & I drove thru the local Burger King in Eaton, Ohio. We had just seen the new Spiderman Movie so he saw the Spiderman Meal & wanted that. We were told they were out. If you don't have a products take it off your drive thru menu! So he ordered a Double Whopper with pickles & cheese only, fries & a drink. I ordered a Jr. Whopper with everything except pickles, onion rings and a drink. I used my debit card to pay for our meals which was $18. something. Was never asked if I wanted a receipt. Upon retrurning to my home in Eaton (only 5 minutes if that from Burger King) we opened up our bag of food. The fries & onion rings were soggy and greasy as well as stone cold appearing that they had sat around for a long while. My Grandson's Double Whopper was ALL WRONG and so was my Jr. Whopper. Both were deluxe! And, again they were stone cold! Upon seeeing all this I called the local Burger King to try to rectify the situation. I called 6 times within a 30 minute time frame and each time the number rang busy! Obviously the phone was off the hook. In addition to all this my Grandson & I were both sick in the night from this rotten food! This morning I did call and actually talked with someone who said she was the manager. She informed me that she could NOT refund my money without a receipt. When I explained I did not have a receipt she said that was the store's policy. Now in light of all this I can assure you that my Grandson & I will NEVER go back to the Eaton Burger King!

Desired outcome: REFUND MY MONEY! And, apologize for making my Grandson & I sick!

Burger King "cold food"

On 6/8/23, my husband and I went in for a bite to eat and decided to dine-in. The store was not busy at all for being 5:45pm. Half of the dining area was sectioned off. There were maybe 4 or 5 patrons/workers on brk seated in the dining area. We ordered our food, got our drinks and sat down to wait for our order # to be called. (trans id: [protected]-030817)

When they called our number for pick-up, my burger was luke warm with a cold bun and my fries were warm. For not having Burger King in several years, this was a disappointment. I'll stay away for a few more years in the hopes of your franchise improving.

Desired outcome: Provide better training for your team. Hold your managers accountable for shoddy work practices.

Burger King Really Bad Service

WARNING TO TRUCKERS & TRAVELERS AT N. CLIFF AVE., SIOUX FALLS, SD.

On June 10, 2023, I parked at Loves on N. Cliff Street, Sioux Falls, SD, and crossed the street to BURGER KING #4271, located at 5200 N. CLIFF AVE. At 17:34, I was the only customer at this BURGER KING location. I placed an order for 1 bacon double cheeseburger and 1 Rodeo burger. I received my order and crossed the street, expecting to enjoy a nice hot meal after a very long day. However, I was faced with a sandwich as cold as if it had been taken from the refrigerator.

I returned to BURGER KING and politely complained. The attendant responded, "What do you want me to do about it?" I politely requested, "Please replace it with two hot burgers." Right after he called it back, I decided I would rather have two Whopper Juniors. I asked the attendant, who just stood there staring forward as if in a hypnotic state, doing nothing. I inquired, "Aren't you going to inform the cook before he makes the other burgers?" He continued to stare off into space and replied, "It's too late, he's already making it." I said, "What are you talking about? It's only been 5 seconds." I pleaded, "Please, tell him to make 2 Bacon Whopper Juniors. Please!" He simply continued to stand there, waiting until AFTER the burgers were being assembled.

By the way, the patties were never grilled, no sizzling, nothing! They were just taken out of a drawer and placed onto a bun! That's when the attendant told the cook to make this into 2 bacon cheese Whopper Juniors. The cook complained as if I had ruined his weekend, and then changed the already made burgers into something else. As far as I'm concerned, I didn't get what I ordered.

Then, the attendant didn't know how to process a refund. He stood there, staring into space, causing a long pause. I asked, "Sir, what are you waiting for?" He replied, "I don't know how to refund to a credit card." I suggested, "Why not ask your manager?" He seemed afraid, like a kid telling his mom that he broke a window, but eventually went to get her.

When the manager arrived, I understood why he didn't want to get her. The woman was visibly angry, VERY ANGRY. She appeared as though she did not want to be there. It took her several minutes to process the transaction. When she finally did, she smacked her hand down on the countertop with my refund, then immediately turned away. There was no courtesy, no politeness, just a lot of loathing. If I had acted that way at my job, I would be fired!

I took my cold, unsatisfactory sandwiches back and microwaved them because I was hungry. However, I will never return to that BURGER KING until they replace the management!

Thank you.

Desired outcome: Replace management! I don't care about a refund if the management isn't replaced.

Burger King Customer service

The guy Rob that was behind the counter totally ignored me when I went to the counter to be served. There was another guy that was at the side of the counter that was excepting orders and he ignored me too. They both lacked manners as they could have easily said one minute to me instead of ignoring me. When my partner came back from the toilets I told him about it and both guys heard me and they still choose to ignore the situation. My partner asked Rob if he could put each meal into a separate bags and all he said was oh. This is the second time now that I have been in your store and had poor customer service but this time I am putting in a complaint.

Desired outcome: I would appreciate it if I had a response and some sort of an apology as this is poor customer service. I would like some sort of compensation.

Burger King Terrible customer service

We asked the cashier what we had to purchase to get a Spider-Man crown for my daughter. The employee told me I could buy any combo, after I pulled up to the window he told me I had to purchase another combo to get the crown. I let it go and went ahead and purchased another one, then he told me he had no more crowns left and that I was out of luck. I am going out of my way to leave this review because I would want for the manager to be aware of this employee. This happened at 10:30pm 6/9/23. The employee was a dark skin male in his late 20s short hair normal height and normal weight.

Desired outcome: I would like for his manager to know how this employee treats this restaurants customers.

Burger King Overcharge on food, and being referred to as "a [censored]"

I went to Burger king on route 24 South in Massachussets,Today June 8th 2023,at Approximately 6pm. . I ordered Two Whoppers,a French fries,and A Whopper Meal,and was charged 41.00 Dollars,and The Order was Wrong. If This is all that had happened,I would not be contacting Your Buisiness. However,when I approached The Counter to rectify this situation,I was told I was wrong, which in and of itself it not an issue,but I was Told To "Chill [censored]". I was flabbergasted,and at that point demanded My Money back,which I did receive,and Then I left The Premises. My Partner is suggesting I contact A Lawyer,But I am Not The Litigious Type. However as I was Assaulted,I will probably never go back To Burger King again. This Experience was both Terrifying,and Demeaning to Me as A Person. I want Justice,but I also want to move on with My Life. I have not decided whether to let this Stand ,or to contact The Local Police,and News Media. That being said,I don't need To Burden My life with Anger,and unwanted attention,and Burger King does not need this Kind Of Attention either. I Hope to hear back from You,and receive some explanation,for This Verbal Assaut upon My Personhood,we are all one people. . This experience feels like A Nightmare,it is hard to accept it really happpened. I feel It is A Moral Imperative,That I am given closure .
