I have been trying to get a refund on an order we never received furniture for. We tried buying the furniture a few years ago. The store representative said we could expect delivery in a week or two. We waited about 3 months and then cancelled our order as we could not wait on furniture that long. I thought they refunded our money at that time. I came to find that they never refunded us. I got an "unclaimed funds" letter from the state saying if I did not claim these funds I was giving them up. I responded saying I had not intent of giving them up, and reached out to customer service in addition to sending the letter of notification back within the timeframe. I have had countless calls with Bob's Furniture customer service trying to get the money back, and it's been about a month and a half of these conversations with no progress and I still don't have access to my money. First they said they tried sending it to my bank but couldn't do that, said they would send another link, never did. Said they were switching to sending me a check, I waited two weeks, never got it, called back and they said they didn't know what happened but would send me a follow up, never got a follow up, called back eventually and once again I just got bounced around. Finally called again and they said the check got sent back and they would send it back out tomorrow. This has been the most frustrating experience with a business I have ever had. I feel like they've been holding $2000 hostage without transparency and it feels a bit predatory. Not to mention I couldn't straight up buy furniture from them as originally planned.
