I paid $376.60 extra on an enormous counter table that by itself cost $1,199.00, because I was told it would cover damage done by anything. So I thought it would be worth the investment. Actually, my table was damaged in one of the legs within a year of purchase because my puppy chewed it. I felt that was on me, so I did NOT make a claim for that. But about a week or two ago, I was cleaning the table (eith Murphy's oil) and realized that one of my kids left a cup or something on the table after I washed the area and it left a ring (see attached). I called the "Goof Proof" insurance (Guardian Products) denied my claim. Good Proof is a scam -don't invest in it. I am notifying the BBB. Also, I'm looking into how to obtain information from the company to see what percentage of claims are honored versus not honored, so perhaps ai will need to file a consumer complaint to get that information and to request treble damages. In case anyone else is having the samw issue and wants to consider doing the same.
Claimed loss: $1,199.00 table cost plus $376.50 for the insurance.
Desired outcome: Fix my table my expensive table. (Also see attachment where I was supposed to receive a kit with two 8 ounce bottles of furniture care, that I NEVER RECEIVED.
