Wednesday, March 24, 2021, my son and I visited BJ's at 12190 Lake Underhill Rd. Orlando, FL 32825.
Disappointed that the unsweet Leaf Tea that was advertised was no where to be found and/or an employee to ask. The Tropicana Lemonade was as well unavailable.
I went out of my way to shop at BJ's for these items but nothing would have prepared my son and I for the unprofessional aggressiveness and tone from your employee while we were trying to exit the building.
We walked up to your employee at the exit approximately 6' from the exit and handed your employee the receipt for the product's I had just purchased. He walked to the front of our cart, checked a few things. While waiting for your employee to finish acting like he was doing something important, my 27 year old son's defective mask slid down his face when we attempted to exit. Your employee, still in front of our cart demanded that my son put his mask back on, so he did. Your employee remained in front of our cart. My sons defective mask slid down once again while we were trying to leave. Your employee continued to block our right to travel freely. Your employee got nasty and his voice became violently demanding that my son wear the mask until we were outside the building. Not wanting to start a confrontation, which I'm sure your employee was escalating, we pushed the cart around him and left.
This action by your employee is not acceptable. We felt physically threatened and fearful of your employee.
I demand that the money I spent renewing my membership to be refunded. If you feel the need to prorate, then prorate for the one or two months that I have had my renewed membership.
Suggestion;
Maybe you should have a box of masks at the station by the door. Offer a mask to your customer if their mask has become defective. Then can your customer safely take the 4 steps to exit your wholesale club.

Berkley Jensen whitening strips
I have used these strips several times and am very happy with them. I recently got another box and for some reason several of them have not stuck to my teeth had to throw them away without using. The first two I did not think to email but just had two more same things happened. I am not sure if it was just something wrong with this box. The lot of number is 303219 a.

The bjs I was working at was the worst experience I have ever encountered. I have always had excellence in customer service and great work ethic. When I started working at this bjs. I saw the nastiest customers come in on a regular basis. I have never seen so many ignorant and rude people. The bjs I worked at has sets rules but they dont follow them at all. They will have workers continuously on the phones every day and theres one woman that will stay talking on the phone at the door for hours. I believe something about earphones was said but she went out and bought a smart watch and started talking in that. There is a boy that works there that wears his pants around his ankles where the customer asked if he wanted to use his belt. Why is the general manager allowing employees to go in there every day and use the phone for hrs on end while checking receipts. And they wonder why they are losing so much product. The general manager there is also naturally an [censored]. I think bjs hires people that are hard because they think maybe theyd be good at being strict. But at this bjs you have someone that dosnt follow their own rules and is just ugly to the employees. They honor expired coupons every day and when a customer is being rude to the employee and refusing to pay a membership and the surcharge they come over and honor that too for the [censored] customer. It makes no sense. Why have these rules if your going to give [censored] customers what they want. At the end alot of the workers here are quiting often or have plans to quit. This bjs will always be a cycle of ugliness and never get a head without the proper management.Coroporate. If they care at all about respect for employees and their business. They will fix things. Otherwise theyre name will eventually dissapear little by little. The general manager should have fired the people that takes phones calls every day all day because those people clearly dont respect the workplace and theyre not follwing the rules but then again this bjs doesnt follow their own rules. The customers are so nasty there. I am not saying customers dont deserve respect. But they are not giving respect so they definitly dont deserve to be honored. Employees deserve respect. If bjs doesnt care for their employees to get respect it will only get worse for that company. The general manager was not understanding when problems occured. She didnt care. She was displaying ignornace and I have power and control. It was fairness and employee rights at all. This is completely unnacceptable. Because she was a general manager im assuming that her representation of bjs is how they want to be represented. Its unnacceptable. The whole store is trash and any customer can see that as well as the employees. For whatever employees are left. A new face every week, for an old face gone. Everyone just wants to be right there and have power. Noone listens, at all. Its discusting. The employees dont follow the rules and bjs doesnt care that they dont follow the rules. This bjs doesnt even follow their own rules. If the customers treat the club members like [censored]. And bjs still honors them. How does that look on bjs and their employees as well. When does bjs show respect for their employees. After the customers are already swearing at them and complaining. And bjs comes over and praises the customer. If thats not desperate to honor [censored] customers and not value the employee then then idk what is.

Phone service
I want to correct my billing address on my online order. (online order time) Called phone number given by my local branch -27 minutes wait. (1st call) Hung up on me. 12/13/2020 at 7:00 pm.

It asked me my billing address and I put it in.
It asked me the shipping address which is different...I put it in.
My receipt shows both billing and shipping address to be the same.

Grocery order pickup

I called few days everyday to reschedule the appointment but no one answer the call at all. I reached the front desk, the operator said she will have them to pick up but they never did. Refill propane tanks
Have been going to BJs all summer to refill propane tanks for our travel trailer. Today we went 10/29/2020 and were told they aren't allowed to fill tanks in the rain it's a corporate policy. Never in my life have I hear of such a thing or was barely raining when we went today. Honestly I just feel like the associate didn't feel like doing his or her job. Was told to go to a place on route 9. Yes thank you will definitely be taking my business else where. If it's a corporate policy it should be posted for the customers.
Fraud
BJs Wholesale Club told me if I opened a credit card with them, I would receive a $40 credit on my first bill. I questioned the rep extensively about this credit and she assured me the $40 would show on my first bill as a promotion credit. Got first bill. No $40 credit. Called BJs. BJs Manager, Anthony, via a store rep told me they would give me a $40 gift card. I asked if I could use this toward the charge on my credit card. They said no. Rep told me I was definitely eligible and didn't understand why I didn't get the credit. They told me to call the rewards division of the bank. I called 3 or 4 different numbers. Hung up on three times. Each time I called I had to go thru the ARU and answers all the questions AGAIN. Spent an inordinate time being transferred, put on hold, having to retell the issues only to be transferred and put on hold again. I finally reached a gentleman, Francis, who told me he could give me a gift card or send me a check. I told him I didn't sign up for the credit card to be given a gift card. He said they could issue me a check but it would not arrive for 4 to 6 weeks. Long after the credit card is due. He also told me I would receive an email stating I would receive a check and assigned me a reference number 3295673. NO email. I then contacted the bank who issued the credit card in conjunction with BJs. I was unable to find a link on their site to dispute a charge so I sent a message asking where to find that link. This whole this is fraudulent. I signed up for a credit card upon BJs urging and was promised a $40 credit on the first bill. I did not get it. I then had to spend a large portion of my day trying to recoup this promotional credit. Neither BJs, the credit card rewards program or the bank is taking any responsibility for this other than saying they would issue me a gift card. Of course, I would have to go to the BJs store if I wanted the gift card - something I am not doing under the present virus situation. Why does it always fall on the consumer to 'fix' the inadequacies of a credit card, a rewards program or a bank? No one oversees the banks. It is a joke. They can do and do whatever they please. If they choose not to live up to their agreements nothing is done to them at the time or to prevent this in the future. They give you the run around and their solution to not accepting responsibility is to transfer you continually or hang up on you or both. Most people would not follow through on this. I am one who did although I am not sure that it will change anything. What are you going to do to protect my consumer rights? Incidentally, applying for this credit card I didn't even want hurt my chances of securing another credit card I did want.
Filed claim with CFPB - BJs response... They issued me a manual check on 10/2/020. They did not. They also reported this to Comenity Bank. Case was closed thinking it had been resolved. NOT. Now the bank is charging me interest on the $40. Bill now $42. Called BJs yesterday and was told I wouldn't get a check for 6-8 weeks. BJs lied to CFPB and Comenity Bank. Called Comenity Bank this morning as they have removed the dispute and was told I was responsible for the $42.00. Unbelievable. Called BJs Corporate office - message said it was a mobile number and the mailbox was full.

you learn that when you have an appointment that you have confirmed verbally would arrive in a few hours and
that you have checked with a client on a Tuesday April 20 from11 to 3 and you also verbally confirm delivery that morning you honor that commitment. I called in ay 3 pm asking where my delivery was? I was told that the 400 lb pergola hadn't even left FLORIDA for delivery to N Carolina. Placed on hold multiple Tims for over over 50 minutes while some poor agent with broken English representing BJs was unable to find a supervisor.
I was promised a call back in 24 to 72 hours, really, that long to follow up with a client. Which by the way never happened. Ill tell you this, thIs would not have happened at COSTCO.So I waited until Friday April 24th and was still not able tO get thru to an American rep and after being put on hold twice with almost an hour of hold time I gave up. BJs is trying to save some money by using foreign call centers and the lack of service shows. Is a completely unprofessional company as well. I spoke with 3 different foreign call center employees with absolutely no way of getting in touch with a supervisor other than telling me someone would get back to me in 24 to 72 hours. Is the what the new service is ? No management to speak with and maybe someone gets back to you in 2 to 3 dayS, GREAT JOB BJS I I WLL BE CANCELLING MY MEMBERSHIP AND OF COURSE YOU CAN KEEP YOUR 24 TO 72 HOUR $1100.00 PERGULA.
