The first couple of years when I first started donating never got deferred when samples came up fastfoward as soon as my ex came into the picture with the head nurse all of a sudden coincidence after coincidence started happening from people messing up my arm to even though I drink whey protein everyday did my samples on Saturday and Thursday they came back...

BioLife Plasma Services Plasma donation

Hello I'm new to this donating I was told the first four visits I would get $125 I was never told about a 30 day. Yesterday I went to donate everything went well I get to the ATM and discovered I was only paid $50 when it took me $20 to get there I was really upset I tried calling yesterday over and over and couldn't get an answer so I called this morning got an answer it was told there was a 30-day period when I do nothing about it and that I'm pretty much screwed out of $75 I don't think that's right I feel like that money is owed to me when people go to donate they should add a 30-day period not safe 125 your first four visits so instead of this lady trying to make it right and to keep me coming back donating pretty much just said I was screwed

Desired outcome: Me get the money I feel that's owed to me and me continue donating

BioLife Plasma Services Assistance

They never answer the phone. I was told to wait for the app to upload even though the app says to co tact my center. I find it almost impossible to get an appointment. I'm almost always skipped over and when I say something about it calmly I get attitude like i was the incompetent one who is responsible to read my name. The many times I got attitude for requesting a professional phlebotomy tech..

Desired outcome: I just don't want to waste my time walking 26 minutes in the sun a ynore to deal with someone else's attitude. I deal with enough in my life. I am just done going I guess.

On 7/11/2023, I had an appointment scheduled at Bio life at 2882 S. Maryland Pkwy, Las Vegas Nevada. This is not my center of choice it is just the one that had an appointment available at this time. I have never been to this location before. As I walked in, I had my two children with me. As the other center I go to, have allowed my children to sit in the...

I went on July 5, 2023 as a first-time donor. After all the testing and preliminaries, I was seen by a male nurse. He told me that I would not qualify due to the fact that I had bronchitis more than once in my life. My blood was tested and approved. I had good veins and also have a rare blood type that is in need. I have not had any lung problems for the...

I recently attempted to resume donating at BioLife. A very long period of time had passed, and I’m at a new stage in my life where some extra income would be very valuable. I received numerous reminders, offers, etc. before the day of my appointment. At my appointment, I was eventually informed that I had been “deferred” from donating almost ten year...

BioLife Plasma Services Donations

So I take the bus to all my donations which takes two hours to get there. When I first started this they were giving me a hard time about my address. So four trips later finally got that taken care of. Then went in there to donate today n they are telling me I was in there on Saturday and I wasn't because I work all day on weekends. I have proof of this n I do not give my information to anyone anyway. I donated on Monday and Thursday but never have I went in there on Saturday. someone had better get in trouble for this because I'm getting tired of the runaround like I said I have proof that I worked on Saturday n if I came down after work it would put me there after they closed im very upset about this I'm trying to make extra money n taking all these bus trips that take two hours for free they should really be giving me something n one day if they keep this up I plan on having their job

Desired outcome: I want some of the money from wasting two hour trips to get there n something needs to happen about them lying

My blood pressure was 8 points too high, so they said come back the next day to donate. Spent the last of my money to get there when they hit me with a test that takes a week to get the results. Not one employee said anything about that and I was goaded into coming in so they could say I can't donate today(especially when I witnessed them bending the rule...

I went in for my physical appointment and first donation at the Tukwila BioLife center on 6/21/23. During the medical questionnaire, I was asked about allergies. So called management permanently deferred me from my 15 years of biolife due to April, a nurse whom lied about the conversation. Krista couldnt tell me who the manager was that deferred me though. Funny how it is the nurse the night before could tell. A specialist removed a very small lipoma on right and left forearm. The questions on computer before...

BioLife Plasma Services Donor eligibility

Hello my name is Daniel becker, birthday 2/24/2000 last four of social 6247. I was recently deferred/denied for life because of IV marks I had from a hospital visit. When asked I was scared I would be not able to donate, so I was sent to the doctor to have a form filled out. When I returned with the form about a week later I was given a call saying I could no longer/ ever donate again. I am a healthy in shape person who has been open with all medical history. Bio life and plasma are a huge part of my life and I would truly like to continue to donate, I apologize for not stating I was in the hospital but I was clear on it when getting the forms handed in from the doctor. Plasma helps me in so many ways in my young life and I don’t want to just give it up because one mistake.

Thank you. Danny .B

Desired outcome: I would like to be able to continue to donate.

BioLife Plasma Services Permanent deferral

I first want to start with this link :

https://www.complaintsboard.com/biolife-plasma-services-permanently-deferral-c908073

This is, WOW. I cannot , but also CAN, believe that I’m not the only one. Look how many people have gone through the same situation.

I’m gonna copy and paste the email I originally sent out.

Hello. I'm really going out on a limb and hoping this works. I have tried to send emails out to Bio-life to share my experience at my most recent appointment and had no response nor will anyone return my calls.

At my last appointment, i was questioned about a new tattoo. Unfortunately, I didn't have any pictures, videos, or anything to prove what day I got it due to my phone being super broken. I explained to my 'nurse' that I had ONE picture and it was from my social media but it doesn't have a date, but it had a countdown to the date (which was in january, but because it was uploaded to my gallery, it didn't show all of that information). THE DATE ON THE PICTURE WAS THE DAY THAT I DOWNLOADED THE PICTURE TO MY PHONE, WHICH WAS APRIL. AND HE TOOK IT UPON HIMSELF TO BELIEVE IT WAS OF 2022(which I guess that could be my fault because in the beginning of the 'interrogation' , I DID say that it might've been around the end of last year , i just couldn't remember because I medically have a memory problem, which I also explained!) MY TATTOO WAS DONE BEGINNING JANUARY OF THIS YEAR AND I FINALLY FOUND A RECEIPT TO PROVE IT! I WASN'T THAT FAR OFF FROM MY GUESS, SO WHY DID IT GET TO APRIL 2022 ? . Nonetheless, that is why I am sending this email. My 'nurse' said when I find proof, to contact Bio-Life. I am unemployed at the moment, I JUST moved back to California, and I can't believe I have to go through this. I took ever precautionary step I could think of taking after I got this tattoo just to make sure I was able to donate by the time I moved back to Cali, and at the end, I still ended up screwed? I called my center in Texas the day after this happened because when I got the tattoo, I was still living there and I called them to ask how long I had to wait and they even said they would make a note of it, AND THAT IT WAS A GOOD IDEA TO CALL. SO WHY WAS THOSE NOTES NOT FOUND? I DON'T KNOW, HOW IS THAT MY FAULT? The center kept asking if I remembered who i spoke to and I said no, I didn't bother to ask for a name, I wasn't able to donate for a while anyways. So when I came to this NEW center in Pomona, I tried so hard to explain to this guy that I already had a talk with the previous center I was at, and that they already told me how long I needed to wait, which is why I was there to donate because it was already over the 4 Months. WHY DID THIS GUY TELL ME IT WAS 6 MONTHS!?!? He didn't need to say it, but it was ALL over his face that he didn't believe me. Why would I need to lie about a tattoo I got? We go to Bio-life to make money, but I am NOT that hard up for money. I TOOK EVERY PRECAUTIONARY STEP I COULD THINK OF AND STILL ENDED UP SCREWED! And the cherry on top- the lack of professionalisms from BOTH bio-life centers. From the attitudes, talking over me, ignoring me!? So now- How can I fix this? Will this affect my eligibility to other centers? I really do want to fix this with BioLife, there's a reason I kept coming back; not every experience was like this. But Like I said, I got back in contact with my tattoo artist and he was able to pull up a receipt for me. If there's a way I can send that over, PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

I am so sorry for the inconveniences. But Thank You.

Desired outcome: BEING ELIGIBLE

Half of the employees I've encountered here have been argumentative have had attitudes, treating me very rudely. Especially when considering the veins I was willing to let them draw from as I use these veins every time I donate and was not comfortable with them trying a new vein. Also the woman who did my physical, there's a name for her attitude and it starts with the letter B

BioLife Plasma Services Deferred/lied on physical paperwork

I was due for my physical and I went in to have it done and also donate bc I had a promotion. All my vitals were good and everything was good until I got into the nurse room with Brittany. She told me I had to have a receipt for my tattoo that I had gotten over a year ago. I had picture proof in my phone for when I had gotten it but she refused to accept it and said she was gonna put in the computer that I had gotten it done that day which meant I couldn’t donate for 4 more months. When I told her she was wrong and that she was lying she said it was her decision and it was done and finalized. Came back the next day to talk to a manager and he said the same thing and refused to accept the picture proof.

Desired outcome: For this to be resolved and fixed and an apology given bc the nurse was extremely rude and nasty and shut the door in my face.

BioLife Plasma Services Terrible service by a nurse called Evette

I've been going to BioLife plasma center in Columbus Georgia for over 2 years on and off. Usually my pulse is about 101 so I can't donate. No problem I understand it's part of the process. Well the last few times I went I had a male nurse pull me into the office and Inform me that if I had one more the facility could defer me until I see my PCP and get the "full works" to make sure there is nothing else going on. I went ahead and did that before I came back to the center. Seen my Doc. On February 16th 2023. When I went back a few weeks later, I turned in the medical form, a form that specifically stated.. "She is medically stable to donate plasma." Unfortunately, for whatever reason the medical document was lost and not put into my file. I returned on May 23rd, finally passed all of the screening process, even the ladies at the front was happy for me! I go to have my physical done by a nurse that I had already been informed to avoid her at all cost. I was told by not just other donors but staff members as well. My oldest daughter went almost 2 years ago, this would have been her first time donating, ever, and she came out angry and on fire, informing me that from the moment she went into Evettes office the lady had an immediate attitude with her and informed my daughter could not donate because when she was 14 she took antidepressant and needed a paper stating she is no longer on the medication.y daughter received this medication for a month on the military base...at 14! She was 21 when she was trying to donate. I have never had any issues with any other staff members up there. I believe the rest of the staff knows how to treat donors with respect. Evette, on the other hand is not only rude but is costing BioLife countless of bottles of plasma because she clearly hates her job and doesn't seem to want anyone in the back making any money! I later, that same-day turned in the medical form again, but got an attitude immediately with me because I showed out on her, in other words calling her a liar. I slammed the paper down on the desk as she was asking me to leave. She couldn't even be professional enough to say come in my office and let me see the medical form. No, immediately just told me to leave.

Desired outcome: I want an apology from Evette with her supervisor present. Hopefully she'll learn not to hide behind her title on how she treats donors

BioLife Plasma Services Get people that actually want to help people, help make it easier to get appointments

Horrible place, awful staff, nobody calls you back, I made appointment then when I got, there they said oh no, the app is different, so we can’t see you today, you have to have a physical, no I don’t i’m not new, so wouldn’t let me donate. So nobody knows anything, they tell you nothing on app is right. But yet they keep sending me emails saying to please come back and donate. Not worth it, this is the worst plasma place in omaha. Don’t waste your time. It’s too stressful, nothing about this is easy or helpful. They don’t care about people, they’re not happy working there. It’s horrendous
