Claims and fraud
I had a recent breach of identity with my social security number as well as fraud on my bank account through Bank of American. I have spent about 2 weeks on and off hours of phone calls with the bank over scam and fraud activity that has cost me thousands out of my personal bank account. I have spoken with many supervisors and managers with no updates or assistance. I requested a new card that took a very long time to ship out to me which i still have not received. I have had no access to my funds or any return for the fraudulent activity. Which has caused me to missed my bill payments.
Haven't received card or call or email
I followed all instructions and I havent recieved any information or my card in the mail or email about my $1000 bank of america gift card. Here is a proof of address and a photo identification and a notary copy. I used a copy of my jury letter as a proof of address. I also got a copy of of a nortary so please respond by mi email [protected]@gmail.com
Thank you,

Credit card
I have been in a fight to get my money back and a new credit card for almost 2 months. I have gotten emails from people, yet no response. Someone used my credit card without my knowledge since 11/2019. Anything, after 11/01/2019 I am not responsible for.
Your 0% liability is a lie. I have filed numerous complaints with BBB, CFPB and all have been ignored. I have contacted an attorney regarding this matter.
I have attached correspondence as well.
Consumer loan
I got a letter (dated August 9, 2020, app [protected]) from BOA that you were unable to approval my credit request. Although I had not directly applied for credit with BOA, I did purchase a car at Mike Kelly Kia assuming the letter relates to that.
The letter states insufficient recent satisfactory credit history, and further states "Lack of recent installment loan information: No Recent revolving balances, too fee accounts currently paid as agreed Lack of recent bank/national revolving information".
I take dispute with each of the reasons. I have a long an d excellent credit profile. I have numerous fully paid installment loans (car loans), my mortgage loan is paid in full, I have several credit cards (no outstanding balance paid full at the each of each month. My annual income is over $300, 000 and have a zero debt (new car loan for $24, 000 on sales price of $33, 000). I was going to just pay cash for my car purchase at Mike Kelly Kia, i financed a portion of it at the request of the dealer (they benefit from financing), but will repay it full in a month or two. In addition, I have cash balances of approx. $600, 000, marketable investments of over $2 million and I'm a private wealth customer at my local bank. I don't think this is a profile that would not warrant credit.
I don't need any credit from BOA, but I am worried about your unbelievable and erroneous credit decision having a negative affect on my credit report. As you are aware there are many regulations that protect consumers from banks making inaccurate credit reporting, I want to be assured no negative consequences are on my credit report from BOA actions.
Please respond at Jim.[protected]@citizensbank.com or my cell phone is [protected].
Checking accounts and fraud team
Bank Of America has refused to do business with me and accused me of fraud - I have tried to defend myself but they do not allow it - They told me I do not owe them a penny - So where is the fraud? I made a mistake at ATM machine 8 years ago I have mental illness and depression - They continue to refuse me help and will not cash there own bank of America checks for me. My brother recently gave me a check I desperately needed. The Manager at Bank of America on July 16th 2020 in San Juan Capistrano on Del Obispo said he spoke to my brother Clive Scullion and agreed to cash my check because I could not start an account with them for unknown reasons. We walked to the counter The teller could not complete the transaction because of 4 thousand limit so I took the check to chase bank in san juan capistrano they opened an account for me with the check but they have closed the account and will not tell me why - they want to pay me the money but said Bank of America is not cooperating? I am collecting evidence for an attorney this is causing me great pain and anxiety I am ill all documentation and ID was given to complete the transaction - Currently Matt at Chase Bank on El Camino Real in San Clemente is closing my chase account and waiting for Bank of America to contact him to release the hold.
Online wire transfer
It's been 4 month I'm not able to lift some stupid wire transfer lock from my account.
Called 800-933-6262 number 10 times in last 4 month.
Call after call they say - "The request has been put. Your account will soon be unlocked".
And yet 4 month later nothing changed.

Read full complaintMultiple $2.50 fees for a transaction that was not processed
I contacted the customer service department for Bank of America on 6/29/2020 for 2 fees of $2.50, posted on 6/22 that should not have been on my account. I had been in a small town on 6/22 - 6/23 for a graduation vacation, and tried to remove $20 cash from my account at a local ATM machine inside of a grocery store, to use during the vacation. The town is small and does not have an actual bank branch location there. They direct visitors to this machine. The non-BOA machine asked me to confirm that a fee was okay in order to withdraw the money.
The machine charged me the $2.50 fee, but did not disperse the $20. I tried a second time to remove the money from the same machine, but there was again an error message. The machine charged me another $2.50 fee, but did not provide me with the $20.
The total amount in unauthorized fee charges was $5.00.
BOA made matters worse because the 2 representatives I spoke with on 6/29 did not provide me with accurate information. The man I spoke with first, on 6/29, told me that they had to classify it as a merchant error or bank error. It was a merchant error, but the man told me returning the fee through this route was not possible. I would have to submit a dispute.
I was then transferred to a woman who told me she had created a dispute claim for the two charges, and had also created a complaint for the company to fix the machine. She told me the temporary credit for $5.00 would appear on my account on 6/30.
On 6/30, the temporary credit did not appear. I called back BOA to follow-up and make sure the claim was submitted, and the first woman I spoke with, on 6/30, laughed about it, and said no claim was submitted. The transactions in question were fees, and therefore not eligible for the dispute process.
She said it generally takes 24 hours to process the credit, indicating that it might not yet be 24 hours from the time when I spoke with the representatives the day before, and forgot that it was Tuesday.
The second person I spoke with told me that no claim had been submitted because it was a fee, and that there was nothing they could do about it. She explained to me how some ATM machines charge clients a fee when they put their card into the machine that they call an inquiry, and also a fee to remove money. In other words, it would have cost $2.50 just for putting my card into the machine, and $2.50 for removing the money.
I told her that explanation made it seem like the machine was stealing money, because the machine did not disclose that it would charge multiple fees ahead of time. I do not like money being stolen, or BOA being okay with this happening. I then asked to speak with a manager, or another representative, and she put me on hold for a while.
I called back a final time and spoke with a Dianca around 11:26am. Dianca was very helpful, and said she was able to get both fees reversed. She wanted me to fill out a survey for her service. When I checked my account though, the 2 fee reversals still had not posted.
I am still waiting for the refund of both unauthorized fees.
The grocery store where this incident occurred was aware of the ATM machines occasional errors. One of the cashiers expressed frustration with the machine. He said that it was frustrating because they get charged fees each time they want to get money out.
Check hold
I have been a long time customer with many account I deposited a check on 6/29/2020 which is being placed on home until 7/8/2020. This is entirely unacceptable. As much as I love the bank services during a pandemic to hold a check that will clear in 2-3 days until the next weeks makes no sense. I will going forward find other alternatives to depositing large checks. I will drive to the bank check written on to cash from now on.
Altered credit limit
Was a BoA customer for almost 15 years, during coovid things got crazy and we paid the card off but forgot the interest so technically not paid off. Then they cut my credit limit with no notification to $500 they would not restore or chance anything even after it was paid off again. Canceled my account.
Unreasonable charge for failing to debit proper account
I added my checking account online to make a payment last month. Instead of adding that account, the bank instead attempted to debit a closed account, which of course failed. As a result, they charged me for a bounced check and locked my account. The last person I talked to said the hold on my account would be removed but he lied. I can no longer view any statements or perform any other action on any of my accounts there. Attempting to contact customer service is almost impossible. I have been placed on hold for over a half hour before hanging up. Terrible way to do business.
Risk department
Dear Sirs,
Currently I am unemployed and received thru the state of South Carolina a prepaid credit card to which my unemployment benefits are loaded. With out warning on June 11 th the risk department has flagged and closed my account. I have called for several days the risk department waiting 1 1/2 to 2 hours each time to speak to someone to no avail. The risk department has hung up more than once before speaking to me. Now I am on day 5 without the availability to use my funds @ 3500.00 dollars.
I am planning on letting the Charlotte news and state of South Carolina credit commission to be aware of this fraudulent risk threat. I see on line once they flag a risk they charge you a research fee as well as blocking your card. I plan on suing Bank of American.
This certainly should not be happening during a pandemic.

Credit card
Been a customer of boa for over 25 years. Accidentally made a double credit card payment of $2100 each. Called boa and rep told me it would take 7-10 business days to refund my money on one of the payments. Phone app showed indicated a -$2100 pending transaction until june 14th and it disappeared. I checked my bank and no transaction had been made into my account. Called boa again and rep advised that there is a 14 business day review period. I asked for an escalation and was advised there is no escalation point. I asked if anyone could contact me when this was finalized and was told no there was nobody that would do that either. I've been unable to find anything online where I can file a complaint directly with the bank. Why does it take 14 business days to determine that a double payment has been made and just transact the money bank to my bank? Why is there no escalation process? Why is there no means to file a complaint online directly with the bank? Haven't seen a customer service survey from boa yet either. Very frustrating experience.
Unauthorized credit card charges
On 6/11/2020, Amazon called me to confirm an order for $414.00 to be applied to my card. Which I told them I did not order anything. They gave me the information on the person who did this, which I'm sending to you. He has probably done it to others. This man needs to be stopped! I did call pronto and have my card cancelled. Please do all that you can to stop this guy! This is the info on him. Walter Smith, 1785 Vesta Drive, Chicago, Illinois 60631. US. Phone # [protected]. Thank you in advance for any assitance that you can do on this matter. My email address is: [protected]@triad.rr.com
Hold on checks
On June 11th I deposited 3 checks from the State of California. The atm, Valley View at Lincoln, showed an error of $5000 for a check that was $905. I corrected the amount and continued on.That day the bank notified me that the checks were put on hold until 6/11. On 6/3 I called and spoke to BofA for over an hour and spoke with a manager. He said he...

This company is literally making it hard for americans to live thruogh this pandemic.
Not only are the phone lines impossible to get though, taking forever to talk to someone, but you guys are actively showing no sypmathy.
I was able to do a one time transfer onto my chime card a few weeks ago so I could pay rent, because you guys don't support venmo.
Once I had enough funds in my account, I tried transferring again since it was time for rent again. But to my displeasure, the option to transfer has been completely taken down from my account.
I don't understand how this is helping anyone at all. It's almost like you guys don't care for the livelihood of the american public, most of which are struggling making ends meet since most of them are currently unemployed. This is ridiculous. I ask for the immediate recovery of the transfer option because it is a necessity at this point.
Please, be on the side of the people you guys are "trying" to help.
Checking account
Bank of America closed our checking account because we are recieving unemployment from a different state even though we worked in the state for over a year and the business is now closed. Told them I could submit proof and evidence that I worked there and unemployment funds were legitimate and they won't do anything and still hold of funds claiming it was "unauthorized transaction" even though the funds match my name and my info. I am not sure what to do.
Risk closure
I called the [protected] number to risk closure for bank of America and I was told I had a closed savings account. I was in a process to trying to get the closure removed but they told me once it's confirmed. It permanent and they told me that bank of America has a right to closed any account without telling the customer at any given time Im going to be banking with synovus bank and they told me it's very rare why a bank would tell me that because every bank has to notify a customer about any closed account and what the better reason is to why and better explanation of what can be done in order to move forward. This bank needs to change it's banking rules and regulations and customers service. there too Stringent on customers and if they keep this up there going to have no customers and go out of business soon, if this keeps up. I'm going to be going with Wells Fargo too not yet but soon. Wells Fargo may be going through struggle with scandals but they have a much better customer service rating. They have 4 out of 5 stars and everywhere BofA have 1 to none this needs to change and I hope the CEO of whoever is over this take takes accountability for it.
I deposited a check and they closed my account I want my money back and my account reopned
ATM deposit
On may 14th I made a cash deposit of 2895 dollars in ATM icad7753 located outside tierrasanta branch in san diego 92124. The machine kept the deposit and printed a receipt stating "request could not be processed at this time". It has been 2 weeks. I have made numerous phone calls since then and have no response of ant kind nor has my account been credited.
Thank you.
Banking during covid19
For the past two weeks I have been calling [protected] and getting various associates on the phone. I have talked with Texas, Nevada, California, South Carolina, West Virginia, Alabama, Arkansas, and one more time to Nevada. A check in the amount of $13085.50 was deposited at an ATM, because the banks in my area have no staffing due to COVID19...
