Avas Flowers review: Deceiving and overpriced

I needed to send flowers to my daughter for her birthday. She lives in a college town and I wanted to find a local florist. I googled and Ava's flowers came up. They seemed reasonable enough and presented beautiful flowers on their website. I now know that they are not local. I should have taken the time to make sure but I didn't. I was in a hurry to get the flowers ordered. After spending time reviewing the options, I started to place my order. There is a 25 dollar service fee which brought up the price significantly. I decided to get a small bouquet instead (still a 25 dollar fee of course). When the flowers came, I was shocked that they were not in a vase! I feel this is pretty standard. And they used a lot of greenery instead of flowers. In summary, they do not look like the picture, I paid around $85 and they were not even in a vase! I bought a similar bouquet at our local Farmer's Market for $20 and they look about the same! I will never buy from them again. Lesson learned: Do your research for any purchase online!
