Aspen Dental review: Extraction of all teeth; full denture.

In September, 2017 I had oral surgery to remove my teeth and received a full set of dentures. My complaint is that I was misled about the cost of services believing I was all paid up but most importantly it was the terrible treatment that I received on the day of the surgery.

I was led into the surgery room to find the dentist and assistant setting up. I was not introduced to the dentist and I had no idea who he was. During that moment my husband had already stepped outside for a few minutes and I asked to see him and wished for him to take my handbag but was told by the dentist to just leave it on my lap. The dentist then asked me a quick health-related question and immediately placed the anesthesia mask on me, I was "out" within a few seconds.

When I woke up from the surgery I was alone with nobody caring for me, my mouth was packed with gauze and the full dentures, I couldn't speak and of course I was in great pain. Somebody walked by to get my husband and I was discharged with a prescription for an opioid and ushered out the door rather quickly in front of a packed house and i wasn't given any gauze for the hour and 20 minute ride...there was a lot of blood to say the least. Not to mention when we got out of the office and into the car to go home there was an automated message on my cellphone from the Aspen Dental office asking me how my visit was. I was in tears.

I was told I had to drive myself back to the office the next morning after the surgery to go in for a mouth rinse, my dentures were looked at and I was sent home, the dentures felt awful and all in all I was there for five minutes with a nearly three hour drive. I was so sick I had to pull over a couple of times.

The next several months and many, many visits the dentures were still too big and hurt, they never felt right for over two years of anguish and great anxiety I could never eat food with those dentures, the set was useless. I couldn't engage in any social situations without dread and I've developed digestive issues because of it.

Over two years later... I just received a set of dentures from a local family-owned clinic which fit properly.

Aspen Dental was and still is a nightmare...I have included some pictures of my face and neck which were taken 24 hours after my surgery.
