Aspen Dental Dentures

About 4 years ago I got a procedure to remove all of my teeth and get dentures. during the procedure I was not given enough sedation before they started pulling my teeth and was screaming from the pain almost breaking one of the nurses hand by holding on to it with so much force the surgan said to me " if you do not stop screaming I will leave you here and go home" being a 17 year old kid I was scared. The procedure was supposed to go on my parents credit and they said I would owe 5000 dollars. Instead it for some reason went on my credit and i am in a load of debt. Today after 4 years of having there temporary set for 4 years and being in pain for that 4 years I went to affordable dentures they told me my bite and mouth may never be normal because aspen dental did not fit my teeth right and messed up my jaw to the point I have headaches every day. I still get calls and Bill's from aspen dental but with how messed up they made my mouth and even my mind i have no want to pay them. Never go to aspen dental they are the worst and need to be shut down.

Aspen Dental Crown

I'm writing to explain my experience at your office. My first appointment was around July 8th, to get prepped for a crown. My understanding and request was for an all porcelain crown. I even looked at the colors of teeth with the assistant that day to get an exact match to my teeth. Then 2 or 3 weeks later after calling multiple times to get a sooner appointment, and opportunity for someone to tell about a change in crown, I wasn't able to get in earlier. My appointment was finally scheduled for Tuesday July 23rd. Right before DMD Jayanty was about to cement the crown in my mouth she told me she wanted me to know how it looked. It was a shock to me when seeing the majority of the crown was made in silver, and resembled a cavity not a healthy tooth. I could have cried after going through everything and having a large silver tooth in my mouth. I have had cavities in the past, why would I pay so much money to have one placed in my mouth? After it was cemented in I couldn't stop thinking about the discrepancy between my request to what they put in my mouth, but I was to upset and I was by myself in the office. I mentioned this to DMD Jayanty she then told me it had to be made this way because how thin it was and that all porcelain wouldn't last. She told me the lab contacted her to ask if this was ok, she told them yes to go ahead and make it, without calling and consulting the patient. How come no one ever contacted me to ask if this was ok? Again, I called numerous times between the consultation and my appointment, and nothing was ever mentioned of a change. DMD Jayanty then told me they can redo it. However, I was in the process of moving out of state so I informed them I couldn't come back to this office as I'd be too far to travel. I was told I can have it done in Maine if the other office approves. They needed to contact that office to confirm if another doctor would do the crown. Weeks went by before I heard anything about it and then got in September at the Bangor Maine office.

This appointment was a horrible experience for me. They had to take off the cemented permanent crown and prep the space for a new one to be made. It had to be thicker so it could be made all porcelain as stated before. I was sitting in the chair shaking and crying uncontrollably. It felt and sounded as if someone was taking a hammer to my tooth and smashing it. Eventually they got off the silver crown. I was so upset and so embarrassed to have to go through that, one of the worst experiences of my life. I went back 2 or 3 weeks after to have the new all porcelain crown put in. Not only did I have to go through this experience because of someone else's mistake, I had to pay for a babysitter 2 more times. I think the $535 I paid to the Leominster office for this procedure should be reimbursed to my Care Credit for the experience I had to go through. If the original Dr and Leominster office had reached out to me, the patient, this could have all been avoided. Instead they put me through a whirlwind of pain and emotional distress only to keep my money as if it was a smooth process.

This is not a complaint of payment as I'm sure you've received in the past from patients. But I fear having any procedure done, let alone the extra pain and distress I was put through for the offices mistake and lack of communication.

Aspen Dental Misleading billing practice

First, I will note that the staff was very courteous and polite. Now, the bait and switch tactic. I went in for a teeth cleaning, only to find out later, from two separate dentist facilities in town, that I paid twice or may three times as much as I would have paid at another facility in town. However, even though its cost twice as much, they did a good job on the general teeth cleaning.

Here comes the problem... When I received my consultation, I was told that the teeth cleaning, two filings and whitening would cost $1, 750. After dental insurance, I would pay $510 out of pocket ($170 for the teeth cleaning and filing, and $340 for the tooth whitening). There was actually a lengthy discussion with the attendant on whether I wanted to pay $340 for teeth whitening; in the end, I said sure, and paid the $510.

After I paid the full $510 upfront, they scheduled a time for my tooth cleaning, fillings and whitening. Due to complications with my wisdom tooth, they only completed the teeth cleaning and (2 fillings, which I have learned may not have occurred based on inspection by a dentist from another agency). Regardless, my teeth whitening was rescheduled for a later day to allow for healing of my wisdom tooth. Fast forward... I went in today (about 3 weeks later) for the teeth whitening, and was told I would have to pay nearly $300 additional... Pause... Rewind... I paid $510 at the first visit which I was told $340 of that was for the teeth whitening, so why has this new dollar figure surfaced on the day of the whitening, which did not exist at the original appointment time. Shame shame shame aspen dental... Shame on you! You lost a customer that would have always come back to your regularly if had not been for this incident. Based on what I was verbally sold…I am out of $340 bucks!

The sad part is that I was warned by 4 different people not to go to aspen because of questionable business operations, excessive charges, and the questionable billing practices... The theme was "aspen told me one thing, but totally changed after they had my money."
Lesson learned; I went in good faith and with trust, and unfortunately, got shafted. I learned my lesson; shame on me. I didn't follow what I preach to others, make sure you thoroughly read a document before you sign it. Because regardless of what I was told, I do not have a signed document that reflects what I was told, and now I am paying the price. Shame on me for trusting what I was verbally told, and shame on aspen for praying on people! I will make sure I join the other 4 people and warn people do not go to aspen (aka scamspen). It will be the last time I step foot in an aspendental facility again. Money lost... Lesson learned! Shame on you aspen... I trusted you. A positive... The people are nice at least, but i'd rather they be mean if I get the work I was promised and thought I was paying for :-).

P.S. When you try to submit a rating or feedback at the college place, wa website, you get an error. I think I may know why they do not want people to be able submit reviews…

Sincerely disappointed!

Aspen Dental Tooth extraction

I have scheduled an appointment with Aspen dental on July 11 for an exam and x-Ray and following July 16 for tooth extraction. As company advertised x-rays and exams are supposed to be free. I was charged on July 11 in advance to reserve a spot on July 16, because as I was told a doctor will be sent to perform tooth extraction from outside of the clinic. I was told that it's important to put the hold on my card in advance and reserve the spot, because Doctor did not provide his August schedule yet. So they don't know if he will be able to perform any operations in August. The hold on my credit card was never dropped, turns out I was charged $423 for tooth extraction and Consultation that I never received nor discussed to be charged for. On July 16 the whole procedure took 35 minutes from the moment I entered the office to the moment I left the office. I was left with a big bruise on my lip and one of the blood vessels broken in my mouse that left a big purple spot.

Aspen Dental Combination malpractice and consumer fraud

1. Gave my Humana dental and Metlife dental cards for services mislead to believe the insurance would not pay and that I needed to finance most of the services. Which was not true as Humana has stated the only thing not covered was certain medications in my case. Resulting in my financing through them with Genesis FS Dental Credit card for $3, 500. 00. When in fact, as I said per Humana, the services I recieved appear to all be 100% covered.

2. The day of treatment Aspen anestitised my gums, including the tooth I was complaning about, cleaned my teeth set an appiontment for me to see an oral surgeon the next day and sent me home.

3. The oral surgeon determined I had a dental problem not a medical problem due servre sinus infection going into my gums and teeth. The significants here is that again he put the same aching tooth to sleep. Called Aspen back to tell them the tooth needed to be extracted set appointment for me to return to Aspen the following day for the extraction, prescribed antibiotics and two tylanol.

4. Upon arrival at Aspen was seated in chair for extraction, was given anesthesia/novican multiple times but was told anesthesia was not working because of the infection, however, I believe the anesthesia was being put in my check and not the gum, which didnt seem to be a problem the previous two days anesthesing. Stood up from chair and told them just to cancel any and all future procedures on my account as I would be going some where else for serice. It should noted I was given an appoinment for the same day they were doing root canals which they wanted me to get but I opted for extraction. Meanwhile, after visiting with the office manager on September 16, 2019. She assured me that she had put in the computer to refund Genesis FSDental Credit Card $1, 600. rufly for procedures I cancelled. Yet until the insurance paid I should continue my payments to Genesis.

5. Genesis has changed their number and are no longer reachable. When I dail their number I get about 15 or 20 poor ads then you are advised to call a different number, which when dailed you get 2 ads then a complicated message, business, residential, commercial. Note: I have recordings of all my dealings with these people.

Aspen Dental Teeth removal and dentures.

I am not satified with the treatment plan . I had all teeth extracted which went ok. there is one holoe that is not healing. this hole goes up into the sinus cavity. I called Dr. and he said come in and we did. He sewed this hole with sutures which did no good at all. we called again, again it was sewed up. our next app. was for soft lining which they did wax impression. the soft lining went up into the hole, we told the Dr. this and he dug around and thought he removed all of the substance, he didnt. a few more days passed l had another sinus infection. that substance from soft liner had hardened. I called again Dr. removed all he thought. wife was watching and told Dr. she didnt think he got it all. he said he did and packed it and sutured gum up again. today is 9/17/2019 sutures came out this packing disolved and now i am sucking air through hole and it is infected. The Dr said we may have to go to oral surgeon. He hasnt offered to xray to see what this foreign stuff is. this infectio could go to brain. We are not happy. thanks for listening. Charles Simmons

That's the same scare tactic they said to me. That's to get you to comply with their upsell. If they don't make a certain amount of sale's, they get fired. I have to get braces after their deep cleaning because my teeth shifted so much after. A procedure I didn't need turned into probably over 15,000 in Dental work to correct their unlawful negligent practices. You could call the whistle blower, get in touch with the Dental board, contact your state's attorney general as well.

Aspen Dental Dentures

I am so disappointed in the service I have received from Dr. Reyna and her staff at Aspen Dental. I began this nightmare in February 2019. I was so excited to receive my dentures within days after my first visit. The teeth were very large and I couldn't even put my lips together. I brought this to the attention of Dr. Reyna and she told me it was necessary so it could help reduce the wrinkles on my top lip. I explained this was not satisfactory and she told me it was my anatomy. I returned a couple of days later to have the dentures adjusted. I was there for five hours, and the teeth were filed down so far there wasn't even a trough on the teeth. They just sat on top of my gums. They gave the teeth back to the technician and left me there waiting in my chair. A few minutes later the technician put my teeth on the counter. I sat there waiting and the office became very quiet so I got out of my chair and looked around. There was no one there., so I got my teeth off the counter and left. They forgot me! I had to wear my old dentures.
I returned to the office due to a sore and once again I saw Dr. Reyna. I explained to her what had happened during my last visit and she wanted to know who the assistant was and I replied "she was the dentist". She was pretty indifferent and asked if I could come back the next day for a hard re-liner. I agreed and returned the next morning at 9:15 am. The dentist and her assistant came in and took my teeth to get the re-liner started. The assistant had to redo the "goo" twice and said it would be about twenty minutes. I wanted and waited and once again my teeth were on the counter and the office was quiet. I went to the front desk and asked if everyone had left and she said"let me check." Right away a different assistant came and handed me my teeth off the counter. I asked if the dentist wanted to see them and she said "no." So I took my teeth and left. Once again I was forgotten! I will never step foot in that office again!
These teeth cost seven thousand dollars; still do not fit, and I want a refund!

Aspen Dental Plan contract

Ted Bleckstein.
As I was searching for Aspen Dental corporate office, to complain, I found your law suit. So, I wanted to email and see where I stand.

I had them make me a replacement upper denture 5 years ago and made 3 trips back to have it fitted.  May 2019 I was back at  different Aspen office, here in San Antonio. I received a plan to remove 13 lower teeth, have a temp denture for 6 months then they would make the permanent denture.

Not agreeing with the price I went over the plan with a fine tooth comb then took it back and questioned errors I had found.  After doing this the price was lowered +/- $2, 000.  I agreed and paid in full $2177.00.

After having the denture from May - August I determined it was miserable so I went with DIA Dental to have 4 on 1 implants, thank goodness they do free financing.
I went to Aspen and asked for a refund, of the permanent denture, since I will not be having that made. It took 2 days and 4 phone calls to hear (I had purchased a grouped plan therefore there is no refund due to me) They KNEW I was wanting implants but the cost was keeping me from it so why would they not tell me I was purchasing a plan and if I decide to change it I would lose money?

PS. The staff was always friendly.
Respectfully,
Pamela Davis

Aspen Dental Partial denture

After being told a partial denture was my only solution since I couldn't afford the thousands of dollars it would cost to replace two teeth, I agreed and paid up front, had four teeth pulled and the product I paid for is not what they promised. It doesn't fit and causes me pain. I'm chewing on metal all day because the claps don't even go where they belong. The front tooth hangs over my bottom lip showing at all times like a snaggle tooth. The gum color that is supposed to match is not even close. The back clasps are causing my entire jaw to hurt and causing me to have constant headaches. I tried to address the looks and fit issue with them well before upon wax try on and was told by male doctor I was nitpicking small stuff and after 3 try's he convinced me the fit would be better when finished. It doesn't fit. I've been back 4 times and tell them each time it doesn't fit and they just tell me it's my mouth and how my teeth are formed.

Aspen Dental X rays - dental hygienist cracked my tooth

I came to visit the Aspen Location in Winter Haven FL. First off I did not expect to be in the office for a 2 hour dentist visit. When I was called back the Dental assistant took my xrays of my mouth but when he forced the tool in my mouth he cracked a portion of my tooth now I am in severe pain due to this and do not have the funds to get the tooth pulled. Mind you this tooth NEVER caused me issues. I am looking to contact corporate regarding this situation before I take further obligations. They also told me I need 25, 000 dollars worth of teeth repairs which is OUTRAGEOUS!. I will never recommend this dental office to anyone. Corporate will be hearing from me and my lawyer at this point.

Aspen Dental Denture

Let me first state that I have been a resident of IA. for 26 years. We travel quite a bit for my husband's work. In January I had all but 5 of my teeth extracted, fit for dentures, In June of 2019 I went to the Farmington MO. office to get the wax fit. After many screwed up appts. I had to go to Fenton Mo for the last fittings. I was told by all the dentists that I could go to any office if I had ANY problems and they would all help me. LIE, LIE, LIE! On July 29th I went in for my final fitting in Fenton MO. I told the dentist I was going home to Iowa tomorrow. They put the permanent denture in my mouth along with my bottom partial. No mirror and was then was told, try those for a week. I got out to my vehicle, noticed the top denture was horrible. Crooked gum line, fangs on the left side, large gap between top and bottom teeth, baby teeth in the front. I complained. Not satisfied. I reported them to the BBB. The office in Fenton MO. finally contacted me, made an appt for me on Sept. 3rd 2019 at 4:30 in Council Bluffs IA. I went to my appt. had an oriental dentist. Never was told her name. Her first statement was, I can only make an adjustment. She said since I recently moved here, I would have to go back to Farmington Mo. because that's where my work was done. Then left the room. Very rude and uncaring. The receptionist asked me about an outstanding bill for 611.00. which occurred in Fenton MO. if they won't help me from any office, then why are they concerned about billing from another office. That 611.00 is in dispute with Dental First Financing. Before, I was willing to settle for a refund of get the work completed. 100% guarantee, I am 100% not satisfied with the shoddy work of my denture, work ethic and customer relations with all of the Aspen Dental offices. I no longer want them to fix the problem. I want a refund on the 611.00 so I can find a competent dentist that truly cares about my smile and being able to eat and enjoy my food. This was the worst decision I have ever made by going to Aspen Dental.

Aspen Dental Immediate dentures

I am 45 years old. I have rheumatoid arthritis and Lupus. Due to the years of medication that I have had to take my teeth have weakened and starting to break. I had several of my back teeth pulled throughout the last few years but my front teeth were still okay and looked good until last month. I slipped and fell getting out of swimming pool and broke one of my front teeth (next to canine tooth) I went to Aspen Dental in Plainfield Indiana to have my teeth looked at because I was quite embarrassed by the broken tooth as I work full time and had to deal with the public all day and I was afraid that my 2 minor daughters would be embarrassed at school if other children saw me with a broken front tooth. I wanted desperately to have it fixed. When I went to Aspen Dental and the dentist told me that I was a good candidate for full dentures because my teeth were starting to loosen up and were going to start giving me problems. I was in no pain at all but feared she was correct and I was going to start having pain and lose my teeth. I reluctantly agreed to get my teeth extracted and have immediate dentures put in. She assured me that they would look great and how it would boost my confidence... etc. She told me that I would have molds made that day however it took the dental assistant 7 times and she still could not make them. Every tray she tried was too big for my mouth. I was there for quite a bit of time when she finally consulted the dentist. She told the assistant to have me come back for custom molds later that week. When I went in to get my custom molds made, I had the same assistant as before (her name is Amanda) well I dont know what was different because she used the same trays again. Still too big, but after another 4 attempts she claimed that she finally had good molds of my top and bottom. I was told to come back again to do a bite block a few days later and then the following visit I would see my teeth in plastic and discuss color etc.. Well I returned to do the bite where Amanda had me close my teeth and she sprayed a caulk like substance on the outside of my teeth and then she said I was done that I would come back for surgery that Thursday. I asked her if I would see my teeth before surgery. August 27, 2019, day of surgery came and I was in the chair. I was worried because Amanda never talked to me about color or showed me the plastic teeth she said I would see, but they are the professionals so I trusted that they were going to come in and we would go over that and look at my new teeth while waiting for the oral surgeon to come in. They had put me on an iv, I assumed I was just being prepped for surgery... NO! the next thing I remember was waking up with a mouth full of gauze and I was told I was "all done"
I was shocked! I wanted to see what I looked like.. I was told I was still bleeding for me to keep the gauze in and for me to come back with in 48 hours. When I got home went to look at my new teeth.. I could not believe what they put in my mouth! They are absolutely ridiculous looking and when I took the blood soaked gauze out of my mouth both top and bottom dentures fell out! Even with my swollen stitched up gums the dentures were huge! I put them back in and found that I could not shut my mouth with them in! I was so upset and horrified! Aspen Dental was closed by this time so I went back the next morning. Amanda said that this sometimes happens with immediate dentures that she could put a lining in to make them fit. I told her that I did not want those in my mouth! I think they made these teeth from someone elses molds.. they can not be made with mine and even if they would fit me they are horrible looking! The gum part of the dentures are actually white in front and the teeth themselves are little! When they were in my mouth you see more gum then you do teeth! I looked ridiculous not to mention they were huge! Amanda put a liner in and put the top dentures back in my mouth, but the bottom she could not fit them in my mouth because of the size. Amanda went and got the dentist but when the dentist came in she said that she will not make me another set for 3-4 weeks! They sent me out of the clinic with my bottom dentures in my hand and the top in my mouth.. Now the top tray is hanging in middle of my mouth because it is so big the plate doesnt even touch the roof of my mouth! Today is the 30th.. I have not eaten anything since the night before surgery which was 3 days ago.. I can not go to work like this! I told them that if they would have showed me these so called dentures before I would have NEVER accepted them and I certainly would not have let them pull my teeth! I dont know what to do! I actually considered suicide because I am too embarrassed to leave my home! I can not wait weeks for teeth! God PLEASE help me! They charged my account already so they have my $4, 205 and they took my teeth out.. I have nothing but ridiculously large and gross looking dentures that I cant even use if I wanted to! I found a class action law suit online and sent an email. The attorney called me today but again I can not wait for that either.. All I want is to have decent dentures to put in my mouth or give me my money back so I can go somewhere else and get dentures immediately!

Ever since Aspen started "rocking"a tooth back and forth to test for looseness...I have had NOTHING but PAIN!they were talking of extracting what teeth I have left and putting in dentures. However, I had to be the one to call 'DentalFirst' to get "approved"or my limit put up further. Why are they making me deal with what they themselves caused?

Aspen Dental Crown

Less than a year ago I went to Aspen Dental in Little Rock Arkansas. After waiting for over an hour I was told I would need 2 crowns. I paid $1200 on top of my insurance paying another $600. On my next visit I sat in the chair for 3 hrs while 2 crown preps were done. During this procedure the dentist hit my tongue with the drill & I had a blood pocket that formed in the pallet of my mouth. Then the dentist started drilling on the wrong tooth! The hygienist had to tell him "that's the wrong tooth". It took over 10 attempts to get a temp crown made of which it fell off immediately leaving the office. A month later I received another invoice for $700 but was told on my initial visit that I was paid in full. Fast Forward to my next cleaning with a new dentist. The tooth that I just paid aspen $1k to put a crown on is abscessed to the bone & so is the tooth next to it! So I go back to aspen & get my X-rays which shows the infection but aspen wanted the money for the crown! I contacted the main number for aspen 2 days ago & was told someone would get back to me & I have yet to hear anything!

Aspen Dental Killeen, Texas,

Is, the poorest run Dental Office I've every seen. I, initially went it to get a Crown done. Aspen Dental put a temporary crown on (which had to be replaced). I, went in a second time to have it replaced until my final crown.

Upon arrival for my final crown (the dental hygienist) BROKE MY TEMPORAY OFF. So, I had to have the tooth extracted (another visit) and told I could have another two teeth besides the one that broke (crowned). Really, Aspen. Is this new wave dentistry or what. I, refused to mess up two regular (good teeth) to benefit Aspen. I, had the option to get a Partial which I despise. I, was given the partial (the same day I had the tooth extraction) for the Crown. I, was told to wear it while I had a (bleeding tooth from extraction). Really. I, won't be back for this type of treatment. Aspen Dental, maybe you should close the Killeen Location until the Staff is Trained. No Pain medicine given. Just offered. I, just had a tooth pulled. Poor, Poor, Dental Care. You won't Mess Up My Mouth (further).OMG

Dear Sir or Madam:
I am writing this letter hopefully to resolve this problem to a satisfactory conclusion for all parties concerned; Because I Fill Aspen Dental business practices and polices are highly borderline of business fraud and medical negligence like the mafia and very unethical.
I am David Davis the husband of Tetyana G. Davis, which I am 100% disable veteran & retired that lives on a fixed income; so I have nothing but time to make several inquiries and complaints to the Texas department of consumer protection & advocacy, The Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, and the Texas Better Business Bureau. I am going to recommend they investigate Aspen Dental business practices and procedures so Aspen Dental doesn't screw anymore of the public.
Issues or problem:

Fraud is - deceit, trickery, and specifically intentional perversion of truth in order to induce another to part with something of value or to surrender a legal right. I feel Aspen Dental committed all of the above. Because Aspen Dental verified the patient Insurance on 05/21/2018, I feel they intentionally held out information about what is covered and not covered by the Insurance plan; Which is deception and manipulating the situation.
Full disclosure to the patient, Businesses have the responsibility of full disclosure to the patient of any changes not agreed upon or made aware of. If the Patient treatment changes for any reason; If the Insurance responsibility, or the patient responsibility changes for any reason, the patient is suppose to be notified before he or she signs the contract, or before any procedure or services are performed, this is known as full disclosure.
Aspen Dental verified the patient Insurance on 05/21/2018.

Aspen Dental Should have knew the Maximum yearly limit or amount allowed for the patient, and what is covered under the patients Insurance plan; so if something was not covered, the patient should have been notified right then, which the patient was not notified until July 2, 2019.

Amanda D. the Office Manager told my wife Tetyana on 05/25/2018 that she was paid up in full after she paid the $3, 228.88, which was the patient responsibility.
My wife Tetyana asked Amanda D. The Office Manager on 05/25/2018 3 to 4 times you sure that is all I have to pay and that there won't be any addition cost. And Amanda D. the Office Manager said I am sure; so my wife signed the patient responsibility.
May 28, 2019 my wife Tetyana Davis had an appointment with Aspen Dental for teeth Cleaning, we received a bill for $72.00 that she wanted to see what it was for. They at Aspen Dental front desk told Tetyana the $72.00 Dollar bill was a mistake and that she had a $0.00 Balance. This was the last appointment my wife Tetyana had with Aspen Dental.
We received a bill from aspen dental July 1, 2019 for $1, 535.69. July 2, 2019 we met with the new office manager Veronica of aspen dental to discuss this bill; So Veronica the Office Manager said that is wrong you owe $2, 950.96. I said So how do you explain going from $0.00 Balance and told your all paid up to all of a sudden told you owe $2, 950.96 when we haven't had any additional services performed, she couldn't explain it.
In a matter of a couple of days the cost grew $1, 415.27 from the bill of July 1, 2019 to the bill of July 2, 2019 with exactly all the same procedures, appointments, and services; so how do you explain the difference? If you wait a couple of days the cost will change even though no procedures, services, or appointments have been done.

So 07/23/2019 we received another bill from Aspen Dental for $1, 694.10. Since 05/25/2018 when my wife signed the patient responsibility form Aspen Dental has had 3 Office Manager as of 08/07/2019.

Summary of Events:
The day of 05/25/2018 the office Manager Amanda D. show my wife Tetyana Davis how much the Insurance pays which is $2, 809.20, and how much the patient responsibility is which she pays which is $3, 228.88.

She never had a chance to read the contract; Amanda D. said sign and pay $3, 228.88, which she did with our American Express Card. my wife Tetyana asked Amanda D. The Office Manager on 05/25/2018 3 to 4 times you sure that is all I have to pay and that their wont be any addition cost;
And Amanda D. said I am sure; so my wife signed the patient responsibility. Amanda D. the Office Manager told my wife Tetyana on 05/25/2018 that she was paid up in full after she paid the $3, 228.88, which was the patient responsibility.
Except later they added $140.00 Dollars for anesthesiology, which my wife paid, because my wife Tetyana was scared without it. Never once did Amanda D. bring up if the Insurance doesn't pay it is your responsibility. If Amanda D. the Office Manager did tell us this, we wouldn't have gone through with the procedure, because we are on a fixed income.
Treatment Plan Summary
Accepted Treatment Plan $8, 343.00
Coupons/Discounts $0.00
Insurance Participating Discounts $2, 304.92
Estimated Insurance Benefits $2, 809.20
Patient Financial Responsibilities $3, 228.88
Payment Arrangements:

Outstanding Balance $0.00 Note: any outstanding balance must be paid before treatment is completed.

Tetyana picked up her permanent teeth March 15, 2019, all treatment, procedures, and services were completed by this date. Which according to their note should not have happened if there was an outstanding balance.

Patient Insurance Information

Normal Ethical Business Procedure for: Hospitals, Doctor Offices, and Dental Offices.
1) Ask the patient or Customer do you have Health or Dental Insurance?
2) Then the Health or Dental Office is suppose to call the Health or Dental Insurance Company of the Patient to find out exactly the Maximum yearly limit or amount allowed for the patient, and what is covered under the patients Insurance plan?
3) Also the Health or Dental Office finds out the patient's maximum monetary limit per fiscal year for the patient. This has to be done for billing to accurately figure the Insurance cost, and the Patients Cost?
4) Full Disclosure to the Patient. Businesses have the responsibility of full disclosure to the patient of any changes not agreed upon or made aware of. If the Patient treatment changes for any reason; If the Insurance responsibility, or the patient responsibility changes for any reason, the patient is suppose to be notified before he or she signs the contract, or before any procedure or services are performed, this is known as full disclosure.
5) Aspen Dental verified the patient Insurance on 05/21/2018. Aspen Dental Should have knew the Maximum yearly limit or amount allowed for the patient, and what is covered under the patients Insurance plan; so if something was not coved the patient should have been notified right then.

This is normal procedure for most all Ethical Hospitals, Doctors Offices, and Dental Offices before any major procedure is performed. Also they will not start any procedures until they have all this information.
I feel there was a lot of fraud and medical negligence by Aspen Dental that should be investigated or least questioned.
Fraud is deceit, trickery, and specifically intentional perversion of truth in order to induce another to part with something of value or to surrender a legal right.
Summary:
Businesses any more, are like the mafia and have a license to steal; it's the public or customer that has no rights. Businesses have federal and state laws they are suppose to follow, but do not especially in Aspen Dental case. Also Businesses are suppose to have very ethical standards they are suppose to follow and comply with, as well as full disclosure to their customers; but in this case Aspen Dental business practices are very deceptive, intentional perversion of truth in order to induce another to part with something of value or to surrender a legal right.

Sincerely,
Tetyana G. & David Davis

Aspen Dental Dentures livonia michigan location

I will give you an opportunity to make this right before I send this to the class action lawsuit page: Please add my Mother's complaint to the lawsuit. They took advantage of my Mother's elderly condition. She paid up front for her dentures in approx Feb 2017. Went back numerous times for the ill-fitting dentures and problem was never fixed. After the last appointment she was told it would be $200 everytime she returned for an adjustment even though they were never right to begin with. They also told her too much time had passed to be covered under the warrantee. This was too overwhelming for her and she stopped wearing her dentures. I became aware of the problem when visiting. Please send all info to me. Felicia Montoya 7113 W Utopia Rd. Glendale AZ. [protected]
