I purchased two American Standard toilets and they appeared in normal condition. After installing both toilets and the removal of porcelain dust at the bottom of the bowl I found casting and glazing defects. This looks like an untidy toilet even though new. I wrote and complained to customer service and he recommended a concealment product. He didn't have the time to tell me which one. I would have to ask Porc-A-Fix distributor. I was surprised at how rude this was especially since I shouldn't have to fix a new toilet.
Claimed loss: Labor, time lost pursuing remedy, and probably replacing the two toilets again.
Desired outcome: Having the company, at their expense, replace both toilets.

The American Standard representative contacted me regarding using Porc-a-fix repair. I specifically told him that the defect was under water. I contacted the Porc-a-fix company regarding using their product under water. They said absolutely not. So the customer representative actually lied to me. The people who run the company should know better. DO NOT BUY AMERICAN STANDARD PRODUCTS. Apparently customers are their last concern.
