Amazon Cancelling my membership

I have been a long time Amazon member. My membership was renewed on December 10, 2020. It was an automatic renewal Today January 11, 2021, I tried to cancel my membership online unsuccessfully. I wanted my membership cancelled due to their deplatforming of Parler. They would only give me a 50% refund even though i used less than 90% of my membership.

Desired outcome: Refund of the remaining 40% of my membership

Amazon Shutting down free speech (Parler)

Shutting down one of our most important rights as a American, free speech is a right. They complain about harsh or threats on the site, yet go to Twitter, YouTube and internet. You see Iran calling for deaths to our military, you Tik Tok a China company stealing info for the communist country. Look at BLM statements still up calling for harm and destruction. Seems like another two tier system that needs to be changed.

Desired outcome: Get Parler but up and running

Amazon Big tech monopoly, information suppression, censorship

I cancelled my account with Amazon, also the one I had that was through my tv smart apps, only to find out that you do not get any of the movies you purchased through them! Once you buy a digital movie and cancel your account it's gone for good. I cancelled everything from amazon and my family, friends and associates are doing the same. I will not allow my money to be used as part of suppression of free speech! Leave our free speech alone! Take your hands off our Parler!

Desired outcome: GET OUT OF OUR FREEDOM!!!

Amazon Not supporting parler

Ridiculous how Amazon is censoring free speech! There is no place for this in the United States, we were founded on the ability to speak freely, our first amendment makes this law! There are no violent posts suggesting harm to put leader! Amazon is risking losing million of customers and as one of those "average joes"the elites despose, I recommend you rethink this stand .. If I took time to complain there are millions who.feel the same but do not write in..

Desired outcome: Replace the app and server

If they shut Parler down, we conservatives will shut them down. We will boycott them. And if they think we will come back out of convenience, they do not understand our values and our resolve.

Amazon Removing parler

I spend 20, 000 per year with Amazon. I will stop all orders until Amazon stops attack on our free speech through Attacks on Parler. 7 of our friends are all pledging to eliminate Amazon orders, until Amazon stops the censorship of Americans.
The clearly political attack on our free speech by Amazon, Google and Apple is straight from Communist agenda, and your actions will backlash into half of your customers dumping Amazon for others like Walmart, or other non political service providers.Amazon just spit in the face of half of all Americans

Desired outcome: Reinstated Parler

Amazon Free Speech Violation

It is my understanding has taken actions against Parler that limits their ability to conduct their business.

While I do not subscribe to Parler or use social media in general, I do not believe that these actions comport with the promise that the Founders laid out in the Constitution.

Please reconsider this decision so that I don't have to reconsider my relationship with Amazon.

Desired outcome: Stop barring Parler from Amazon Cloud

Amazon Amazon web services

I'm dropping my Amazon Prime membership because Amazon is suspending Parler from their web server. This suspension appears to be instigated by Amazon employees. As a business Amazon should be responsive to customers. This seems to be a political statement by Amazon. I want businesses to serve my needs not be a virtue signaling enterprise . By this action Amazon is putting itself first not the customer.

Desired outcome: I will rejoin Prime membership only if Parler gets reinstated

Amazon Being not allowed to review

2 or 3 years ago, after buying, reading and reviewing a KINDLE books for at least 10 years, I got a message to this effect: "you are not allowed to review any more because of your previous review..." or something to this effect. I have no idea what I had done, no idea how long my "banishment" will last and no idea that Joe McCarthy works for amazon.

Desired outcome: stop the banishment

Amazon Amazon betrays american freedom (bullying parler/me)

Amazon I wish you would have just kept taking all the money I send you instead of joining the rest of big tec in suppressing American's free speech. Bulling/blocking Parlor is the final straw. My family and all my friends will be transitioning away from all Amazon products and services/Prime by week end. The same goes for Apple, Google, Facebook and Twitter.
Free speech is not yours to give or take away! We will donate our saved money to Parler to help them get up and going again, making sure we continue to have a free and unrestricted voice. No more supporting Anti American Un-patriotic corporations.

Desired outcome: Amazon apologize and reverse course.

Amazon Parler

So basically your going to shut down Parler because you dont like us being able to use another platform! So you are totally proving what we all said, socialism is happening and if we don't agree with you and the left we are bad . well you do realize there are loads of Patriots and if we all start cancelling our service what do you think? So if we don't think like the left your going to shut Parler down. But there is no socialism happening move along free speech is only if you agree! Mmm remind you of something? East Germany? Venezuela ?🤔

Desired outcome: Leave Parler alone.

I have been with you for many years. I had Prime with you. I shopped with you. I bought and read books off your site. And you - WITHOUT ANY PROOF - with complete and total conspiratorial aims and revenge in your sights decided to remove a small up and coming competitor to Twitter, Parler.

Well, Amazon, I have to say, with friends like you, who needs enemies. You allow your political opinions to rule your company, and once vendors like you began doing that - you created armies of citizens who now use their political opinions to stop supporting and giving hard earned money to companies like you who hate us, and work to silence us.

And liberals/Democrats, don't think they won't eventually come for you. Look at history. Look closely. When these kinds of people start coming for some - silencing some - they eventually silence MOST - except for their rich friends. Read your history.

My prime account is cancelled. And your Prime CSR, Veronica, is rude. She left me on hold for over 10 minutes when I asked for an email address where I could air my grievances. Then, when I called back, Veronica gave me a fake email address. You all can't even be honest with you customers. May you reap what you sow.

Amazon's actions toward free speech (PARLER) has led me to reconsider my membership. A company with an un-American sense of values is not one I prefer. No more purchases will be made as there are many "open-minded" online shopping options available.

“Free speech is not yours to give or take away!“

Uhh…yes it is. Amazon is a private company. They can reject or terminate a service at their will. It’s called capitalism.

The first amendment applies to the government limiting speech, not a private company. Get a clue.

Amazon Employment

Amazon has a serious problem on paper work. It always has errors, and embarrassingly, I often found and saw it. Like they told you the hire date, and confirmed a working date and sending you an agreement with a starting date. But they all different. And you have no way to go and proceed. And no one is every follow up. And they kept on sent you strange card and strange letter and strange recorded telephone message which sound personal to you. But actually is an unknown call for the public. And they always did thinks that they though is taking care of, and actually is not done at all.

The employee works there has no protection in employee safety at all of course I am talking about identity document. No actually human is there. No manager is there. You have to resign and go to eeoc to follow up dispute even though amazon claimed they has inside their company. A lot of document and self writing report should kept is you wanted to work in this company. A headache.

Desired outcome: Only Public can testify the shame of this company in the warehouse staff management operation. I started mine in peace to report it to Government Lab our department, but it is not enough power.

I was forced to stop my job and I submitted a EEOC file. It will be start the process of letting Amazon.com of those tragedy they have cause me. Yes, I got a mentally and physically injury. Perhaps might never work like at warehouse in Amazon again. I hope I won't be disable. But due to all this oppressed I am seeking the doctor from Amazon.com to give a full check.

Update by dabywong

And yes, at job search AMAZON.FORCE, they always description the wrong location. Like they said is at West side, actually in on East side. And it is near North Phoenix, but they post it at SW Phoenix, AZ. This is seriously unacceptable. I wander how can the Employment board let Amazon posted job for public. It is not correct or you can say is lying. Can some department stop them doing this in general public.

And they like to call you but the line on the phone is a female sounds life but you have to hear it for like 15 seconds to confirm it is not, but only saying something looks welcoming you and tell you have additional shift time available. But actually is a recording. And the main point is like other company, this kind of call can made simple by one person in company and hired someone. But they like to act differently. And I have no way to tell them something is wrong with them on the public site. So, I have to complaint it through complaintboard.com

Update by dabywong
Feb 18, 2021 5:11 pm EST

I post this is because I am looking for jobs in Phoenix, Az and I found it out and no way to contact Amazon. And I hope someone from Amazon can inform or notify the corporate or appropriate person/dept of Amazon, so they can correct it. I bet not. Because yesterday, I thought I got a got at Amazon at S3333 7th street as pick and pack for delivery, and the pre-interview and duty description on Amazon.force said is a small warehouse. But when contract sign date, I found out and confirmed that it is not correct at all. That is not a small warehouse and is not doing what they posted on line to hire people. I back and forth drive 70 street x 2 [1 hour] this is not the first time, and they never apologize, if they don't how can they notice and correct it right away? After that I go home with nothing signed or job offered. This is like getting used to it now. Because it is like NO ONE IS WORKING [USA GOVERNMENT] IN PHOENIX, AZ. And a dispute case holding with EEOC from last year Nov, 2020, it is still pending for schedule a date with EEOC. Because EEOC everyday is booked and no chance to squeeze in. I wondered they are working or office is closed. You have no way to tell. Due to coronavirus, the street is so quiet. And it is so hard to find a job. All scam and terrorist.

I understand your anger. Demanding we demand censorship to companies though, is not the way to go about this. While I am not in agreement on the negative comments the others responded with about BLM, you are demanding we take away Amazons free speech rights. I am not ok with that. I hate Trump and find his followers to be rather annoying, but they have a right to speak their mind and buy shirts with their lord and savior on them.

So its okay to burn cities and take them over but oh a few bad apples do something like the rioters did all summer and they are bad. Its bad for all. If you want this taken off I want BLM and Antifa stuff off too. And Biden merchandise since my opinion he cheated. All other legal Presidents are good. Exactly! Amazon needs to shut up and take our money. Not regulate who gets free speech and who doesn’t. Also note calling the Trump rally an insurrection is 100% propaganda from dems and mainstream media. I assure you if or when the Trump Nation decides enough is enough, there will be no doubt on this planet and there would be no people taking selfie’s during it and there would have been millions armed vs un armed and being shot by the police. The Trump rally was a peaceful protest with just a few handfuls of bad actors, period!

Oh please. 75 million are not going to stop ordering from Amazon. Besides, Trump didn’t even get 75 million votes - Trump math: always round up + exaggerate/inflate/lie.

Aside from that, you assume every Trump follower is an Amazon account holder. You also assume all Trump supporters who do purchase from Amazon are going to stop purchasing from Amazon because? You say so? You ALL think exactly the same? That suggests the implication that you’re all a bunch of sheep bleating the same exact thing. It’s about time one of you admit it!

Amazon Damaged Product -Casio CTK-3500-

I purchased a keyboard, Casio CTK3500, I received the product today, 2 Jan 2021. It was unacceptably damaged. I contacted the cargo firm. But the point is the seller did not prepare the product enough safely. I've waited for this product for about 10 days. And it was at a discount. Now even I get the refund immediately - normally it will take 0-15 days- I have to pay more than before to get the same product. I trusted Amazon but now I regret it. In addition, customer service is terrible. I cannot contact Amazon to tell the issue directly, which is a shame.

Desired outcome: I want the seller to send me the same product without any extra price

About Amazon

Screenshot Amazon
Amazon is a multinational technology company that is based in Seattle, Washington. It is one of the largest online retailers in the world, offering a wide range of products and services to customers across the globe. The company was founded in 1994 by Jeff Bezos, and it has since grown to become a household name, with a market capitalization of over $1 trillion.

Amazon's success can be attributed to its innovative business model, which has disrupted traditional retail markets. The company's online platform allows customers to browse and purchase products from a vast selection of categories, including electronics, books, clothing, and household items. Amazon also offers a range of services, such as Amazon Prime, which provides customers with free shipping, access to streaming services, and other benefits.

In addition to its retail operations, Amazon has also expanded into other areas of technology, such as cloud computing and artificial intelligence. Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a cloud computing platform that provides businesses with a range of services, including storage, computing power, and analytics. AWS is one of the largest cloud computing providers in the world, with a market share of over 30%.

Amazon's success has not been without controversy, however. The company has faced criticism over its treatment of workers, with reports of poor working conditions and low wages. Amazon has also been accused of anti-competitive practices, with some critics arguing that the company's dominance in the retail market gives it an unfair advantage over smaller competitors.

Despite these challenges, Amazon continues to be a major player in the technology industry, with a strong focus on innovation and customer satisfaction. The company's commitment to providing high-quality products and services has helped it to maintain its position as one of the most valuable companies in the world.

Amazon Customer Reviews Overview

Amazon is one of the most popular online retailers in the world, offering a vast selection of products ranging from books and electronics to clothing and home goods. The website has become a go-to destination for shoppers looking for convenience, competitive pricing, and fast shipping.

Amazon's customer service is also highly praised, with many reviewers noting the company's responsiveness and willingness to resolve issues quickly and efficiently. The website's user-friendly interface and easy checkout process are also frequently cited as positives.

Another benefit of shopping on Amazon is the availability of Prime membership, which offers free two-day shipping, access to streaming services, and other perks. Many reviewers appreciate the convenience and value of this membership program.

Overall, Amazon is a reliable and trusted online retailer with a vast selection of products, competitive pricing, and excellent customer service. The abundance of customer reviews and the convenience of Prime membership make it a top choice for many shoppers.
