Earlier last year, my wife and I purchased tickets for a trip to Costa Rica just before Thanksgiving of last year. We subsequently purchased an upgrade in seats for the flight. After a couple of months, Alaska changed the flight times significantly and changed our original seats but did not include the upgraded seats which we then had to pay an increased fare which Alaska had increased from our original upgrade. We have spent well over 5 hours on hold on multiple calls in trying to receive the difference in fare cost which we were informed after our first call to Alaska and being on hold for an hour, that we could only be compensated for the fare difference after we completed the flight. Three months later after our trip and even after emailing Alaska customer service and more hours on hold, the issue is still unresolved. Dealing with Alaska customer service is like being ghosted by them. They put up a stone wall and making contact with anyone in customer service nearly impossible. In short, Alaska customer service is pretty much non existent. The experience is beyond infuriating. Their customer service logo should be "talk to the hand cause we don't care." We will never fly on Alaska Airlines again.
Claimed loss: Only about $300.
Desired outcome: Reimbursement and compesation for the fare change that Alaska created by changing the flight schedule.
